Small americano coffee with a rip off price of £3.60 All other prices were displayed except tea or coffee prices. I can get far better coffee for £2.60 in many places in London. I'll never go there again

The prices are ridiculous. Egg and chips and a cup of tea, £10.40. No wonder they make you pay in advance.I avoided the toast this time as it is almost always burnt. Shan't be going again.

Great place and food. We have been around 5 times since February and last visit was Tuesday 17th. They serve great coffee and we usually order some kind of baguette. Always fresh and always loaded with filling. They care about what they are serving. We’d always choose to go there when in the area, never to one of the large commercialised establishments.

Ridiculously expensive, for an anorexic salt beef snack, staff friendly but beef and prices, not worth it

I had scrambled egg on two toast, and a filter coffee and I was charged £10.40!! I queried it, but they stood firm and said the price was correct. utter madness, how a greasy spoon cafe can charge that is a disgrace. Two pieces of bread would cost them £20p, two eggs 40p, slither of butter 20p and say 40p for a a filter coffee total costs £1.20. Not bad profit on that! Avoid. I have had my pants well and truly pulled down.

The coffee was excellent here. We didn’t eat but the food we could see and the menu looked amazing. There’s a good queue here too which is always a good sign in local business areas.

Amazing lunch, me and my partner both had a chicken escalope ciabatta. Honestly one of the best things I’ve had for lunch in London. Great coffee and friendly service. Would recommend!

With so much competition in the area shocked with the bad service and high prices at this below average café. Will not be going there again so avoid!

Cannot believe the service of this place ! Went in to go and buy some toast, did not have change on me so had to pay by card. He tld me they had a limit on cards, so I asked them to just add the extra thinking surely this will be fine as I have done in many places before. But my god was it not. He said no, and threw the toast in the bin !!!! Shocking, disappointing, waste of food and just rude.

Very average food and over priced too. Witnessed a girl in front of me trying to pay for toast (which was £1.70?! get a loaf for that..) and said it was minimum spend £5 on card. She even offered to pay £2 for this and they sent her away very dismissively. Then witnessed them just throwing it in the bin and laughing after she left. Very uncomfortable situation and doesn't hurt to just show some kindness every now and then. That breakfast definitely would have meant more to her than it did to your business! Remember to treat others how you wish to be treated...

Over priced! Won't let you pay extra to pay on card they would rather throw the food in the bin. Minimum £5? But when offered to pay 50p more, which is more than enough! They need to get in the 21st century! Especially where they are based. Food is low quality at extortionate prices.

Great classic cafe. Excellent service, great coffee. Any choice you want for brekkie I went traditional. Good sausages. Very popular cafe please try it to avoid these cafes being taken over by the big coffee chains.

I can honestly say, this is the BEST sandwich I have ever had! My partner and I both ordered the club sandwich for takeaway which consisted of ham, chicken, cheese, salad and mayo set upon 3 large pieces of white bread. I highly recommend this sandwich shop. There needs to be more of them! It was delicious.

Wow what a sandwich, plenty of choice of fillings and knocks the spots off many a big chain. I had a mixed seafood sandwich and it was wonderful, fresh bread or baguette and as much filling as bread, and at a reasonable price. I will return.

Every school holiday, my teenage son insists that we travel from East Sussex to his salt beef sandwich shop. It might not be flash, but the staff are kind, fresh orange juice is gorgeous and we love it. Happy family memories for us!

This place was perfectly ok. In fact the cappuccino was excellent but very expensive however the chicken escalope melt ciabatta was very ordinary. Nothing wrong with it but small and uninteresting compared with other similar cafes I know in Central London. At £6 the price would have been ok for a better sandwich.

Called in for a very quick bit to eat after having an abortive try at a bistro for some food near by. Very good hot ciabatas with wonderful flavours and excellent tea with good service at a resonable price

Been going here for years. Very friendly, very clean & great selection of traditional food. For city reasonably priced & they go out their way to please you. Much better than the chains for good food & snacks.
