He visitado aquí hoy.

The view is dazzling. It takes just 30 seconds via the elevator from the street to the bar/restaurant on the top floor but the convenience ends there. As time elapses this bar becomes more out of touch with reality. The menu hasn't changed for years, in fact neither have the physical menus themselves. Wine should improve with age but at 'The Heights' it doesn't. I don't think there is anything 'wrong' with it other than that it is absolute filth. It hasn't been chosen for the way it tastes but purely for it's profit margin. It really was the most disgusting wine I've had since that bottle of Lambrini I shared with my childhood sweetheart 17 years ago. At roughly £20 it isn't exactly good value either. The servers, though pleasant enough, aren't professional. Our wine was suitably dumped (it was garbage) on the table for us to serve ourselves with, despite customers now being discouraged from acquiring service at the bar. We also noticed that the staff were swearing and arguing with each other. The decor is very boring. I quite like the big leather sofas but the rest is very dated. I have never tried the food here and I don't think I ever will. Worth popping in for the view but don't waste £20 on the 'wine'. Have a beer instead... and make sure it comes in a bottle...

I came here with a group of 30 on a Saturday night. The customer service was appalling. Several members of our group were spoken very rudely to by the staff and we saw the managing swearing at one of the waitresses. It's meant to be table service but there weren't enough staff. So people in group were going to the bar and getting sent away (very rudely). There was even a threat that we would get kicked out of we went to the bar again. Just to show how amateur this place is, they couldn't serve any drinks after about 9pm. The explanation was weak and again rude. It's like this place can't deal with customers. We all left to a pub nearby. Awful experience - AVOID!!!

This wonderful venue has views out over London that are unsurpassed and we have been going there for light suppers, drinks and coffees for a long time. We decided to book part of the venue for a birthday party - and it was a wonderful night. The staff could not have been friendlier or helpful. We asked for canapes to be served on the hour at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm (superb dessert-y macaroons etc by then) and the service was so smooth we didn't have to worry about a thing. A reasonable price, we got to decorate the space - with staff help again - before the party started and it was just a lovely evening with none of the stress that seem to happen. I can't thank everyone enough - from the events manager to the venue manager and all the bar and venue staff - what stars! What a lovely venue and the views over London from all sides of the building are breathtaking.

At the top of Regents Street is the St Georges Hotel and on the 15th floor is The Heights a bar and restaurant with a great view over London. We met here as it was central and we were all coming from different main line stations - Oxford Circus is well known for everyone and the hotel is only about 10 minutes walk away. It was great for us as, apart from 3 gentlemen, the place was empty! Mmmm, I can hear you say - not a good sign, but we were able to drink coffee for 2 hours and chat and laugh to our hearts' content without anyone bothering us.We were the only diners so had a table by the window and service was, naturally, good. We mostly had the set lunch which included a glass of wine - a choice of 3 starters, mains and 2 desserts. Food was well cooked - I had the bream and creme brûlée and although not huge, I was well fed.The one downside was that the Ladies was being renovated and so we had to use the one disabled loo - long waits for everyone! Not a long term problem though. This is not a restaurant I would recommend if you want some atmosphere but it was great for us and a good time was had by all!

Billed as a stunning top floor restaurant, the views are very disappointing - none of the famous city of London Skyline as windows face towards Marble Arch (invisible). . In spite of booking for 6 people the staff seemed surprised to see us but quickly pulled themselves and some tables together to make a table for an extended party of eight. The menu was a mish mash of snack food and mains. Nothing very appealing - my minute steak was tough, served on a huge ciabatta roll lined with a slab of processed cheese that hadn't melted but stuck to the bread. The chips were fantastic - a saving grace. I would not bother to visit again as even the view is pedestrian. Staff willing and efficient, but were not very welcoming.

As guests of the St.Georges Hotel we dined "in house" at The Heights. What a wasted opportunity this bar/restaurant is. Completely lacking in atmosphere with all the romantic ambiance of an office. We had no problem with getting a window table, there only being two other couples in the room. The waiter made us feel as though we were being a nuisance in asking for food at 9.15pm, although literature stated that dinner was served until 10. The food, however, was enjoyable and the view was good. I was upset, when presented with the bill, to find that a service charge had been added although provision had been left to add a tip.

I booked the small lounge to hold a champagne reception through email and phone to the events manager, and it was all very easy. It required a minimum pre-order of food and drink of 300GDP.All my guests were very impressed - from the sign at the lifts with my name on, to the views, to the polite but easy-going attitude of the staff - and kept thanking me for finding such a wonderful place! The small lounge has max occupancy of 20, and I had invited 25, but because there were no other events that afternoon, we felt able to spill over into the main bar - which was especially useful for our 2 1/2 year old. We ordered 5 bottles prosecco, mineral water, orange juice, and requested sweet canapes. All was in order, and we also ordered some bottles of wine while we were there, and it came to about 350GDP.Without question, I would recommend to others who need to entertain out-of-towners for business or pleasure!

We went for a living social special offer for afternoon tea. The views were very good and the restaurant is reasonably furnished. The cost was. £11 with the deal full price it was £22 per person. You expect afternoon tea to have a selection of cakes on a cake stand and a few rounds of sandwiches of a selection of white or brown bread. Not here. We got one white bread finger. Approx 1/3 round of ham and tomatoe. One finger of egg mayo. One finger of smoked salmon and cream cheese. The menu said turkey but they didn't have any. There were no cakes. Just two of the smallest mince pies I have ever seen, not a lot bigger than a penny in diameter. Also three strawberries and cream made to look like Santas. This was all served together on one plate. A pot of tea or coffee was also included and an alcoholic drink as well. We then asked if we could have some more sandwiches. As the three mouthfuls given were not enough. They said the chef isn't here so they can't make any. A chef to make a sandwich? After some discussion, we got three more fingers. :-0. . The staff said they understand about the value and tried to be helpful to us. The place could be great but the management is obviously rubbish. They have a good place with views but aren't going to make any money the way things are run. The ladies toilets have also seen better days. My wife and I recently visited The Heights restaurant while we were out in London doing an evening shop. She had another meeting to go to, but we thought it would be a pleasant spot to stop. The views were fantastic. She was in the loo when I grabbed a table and began by ordering a cappuccino. While I waited for my order the server asked me what I had ordered. I thought one cappuccino was simple enough of an order. By the time my wife came to sit at the table I was served my cappuccino and the server (a different one from the first) asked my wife what she wanted. She said she did not want anything and the server jumped in by stating, 'You have to order something if you are sitting here.' I guess this did not include my cappuccino and was done on a per person basis. She explained she was leaving shortly (which was true) and the server looked at his watch before moving off.I could not believe how rude he was! The place was not entirely busy for a weekday night and there were plenty of free tables available. My wife left and I drank my cappuccino as I reviewed work emails on my phone. Within a few minutes a server dropped the receipt for my cappuccino on the table without enquiring whether there was anything else I wanted. I guess it was assumed that if you order a coffee you must not want a dinner. I could not believe how poor of an experience this was making. Surely a good restaurant would welcome service from respectable customers. So instead of ordering any food as I was disenchanted with being prompted to hurry and finish, I checked the bill and read £3.50 for the cappuccino and an optional £0.44 service charge! Really? A service charge for a forgotten order, rude behaviour to my wife and the desire to see me quickly exit once my drink was finished. I was not impressed!I quickly left £3.50 in change and left.I felt this was such a shame as I had heard and read positive reports about this place. Customer service should be paramount in its importance. Customers should feel welcomed, not pressured to leave.Bitterly disappointed! I was sure to tell my friends and work colleagues to avoid The Heights in future.

The view wasn't great before dark, quite industrial looking (no way as good as Vertigo 42 but a lot cheaper!) but once the sun set it was rather nice, with the lights. restaurant decor needed updating and so did the staff's English and service skills. They were nice enough but when we arrived early and asked to sit by the bar for a pre-dinner drink they presumed we just wanted bar food or tapas and changed our booking. It wasn't a problem though as the restaurant was empty. We opted for the two course set menu at £19.95, including a drink and it was good valur for money. I had the scallops followed by Red Snapper, both of which were lovely (fish a little dry though). However, my friends had the other two options for starters and main and they were not so happy, they were nice but nothing special. not much thought or flavour had gone into the veggie options. We were left alone but bordering on be non-attentive, waitress not pouring our wine etc but they did ask that each course was OK.It was nice if you are in the area and probably just for a drink but I wouldn't rush back.

Special although not so known place to have a drink with friends or even a meal. Have never tried full dinner here, but drinks and snacks work well too!

I know this place has bad reviews, but I like it. It's unpretentious, and the staff may be a little laid back, but they're really nice and friendly if you speak to them politely and give them a smile - I've been here several times now and we always get good, courteous service and good food at reasonable prices. I agree that the place could do with a good refurbishing (although if they turned the too-bright lights down it would already help to provide more atmosphere in there and allow you to see outside as well). All in all, I will be returning!

What a shame. An amazing alternative view of London, but tired 90s decor and no service at all.We came here just for a drink, and whilst the cocktails we ordered were very good, the service was less than "hot", and took a long long time. Felt like we were gatecrashing rather than being welcome. No follow up, or engagement, and we left. And to add a service charge for £8 cocktails when the service was just to make them and then walk them 10 feet to our table - taking the preverbial. This place could be a winner, but i'd visit, take in the view, and order the cheapest drink possible. Wasted opportunity.

It has got a lovely view but the staff are so poorly trained. They smile but are clueless, argumentative and frankly pretty hapless. One meal arrived 25 minutes after all the others and as it was a salad one has to wonder why; a curt "sorry about that" was delivered with the same force as the plate which was banged down on the table. They 'forgot' to give us bread/rolls. The waitress smiled nicely as she informed us that she had written down 3 beefs and one beef and therefore it was us who were wrong in saying that we wanted 2 sirloin and 2 fillets... This is the first restaurant I've been to where I have absolutely refused to pay the service charge, food was average but the experience was awful

The Heights had the potential to offer a nice setting for a business dinner, overlooking London. Unfortunately the actuality was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had.Service... what service? After arriving on time we were made to wait 15 minutes for our table despite the fact that there were only 2 other tables occupied in the entire restaurant area. Drinks orders were only taken for half the party whilst we waited and then when the drinks did arrive, the table was finally ready at the same time. For those of the party who did receive drinks, they were made poorly and were certainly not recognisable as the drinks they were meant to be. In good faith we were seated and ordered our food, hoping this was a small glitch in what was generally good service. Oh how wrong we were.No bread was offered to our table, despite other tables being offered. Our orders were taken and despite the menu stating food was freshly prepared, we were not prepared for the long wait that ensued. Some of this wait was filled by waiting to see if our request for the wine list would be fulfilled. After 15 minutes we were bored with waiting and fetched the menu from the bar ourselves. 5 minutes later, the waitress finally brought the wine list. The starters were poor. Some dishes were so poorly thought out and executed they were inedible. We especially had high hopes for the Tea Smoked Duck Salad. What was brought out was iceberg lettuce smothered in salad creme with tiny morsels of shredded duck embedded within the folds of creme. The asparagus was cold and nearly raw and was going wrinkly with how long it had been since it was actually cooked. After another long wait and chasing the staff for some sort of service, the evening had turned into a farce. With only 3 other tables of diners (small groups of 2-4 people), we were amazed and how long everything took and how hard it was to find a member of staff to place a drinks order with. When the main courses were brought, one of the dishes was incorrect. Instead of rectifying the situation, the waitress started arguing with us saying that was what she had written down so we were wrong! The main courses were sub standard, even to poor a greasy spoon when comparing the steak and chips option. The fillet steak was so tough, even when cooked medium, that we suspect it was beef roasting joint cut to fillet size. The prices on the menu could have been cut by two-thirds and we still would have struggled to justify paying full price for what was served.During dinner, a wine glass was knocked over accidentally and smashed on the table. No staff came to offer assistance and the broken glass remained on the table after plates from the main course were cleared and the dessert menus brought. No fresh napkins were brought as we had used ours to clear up spillage from the broken glass. The pile of napkins and broken glass remained on the table even as we left. w|e asked if there was a manager we could speak to. We were told yes but, you guessed it, he never materialised.Half our party decided it was too much of a risk to order any more food. The other half, still hungry after not being able to consume the main course, decided to order. Another drinks menu was requested at this time and after 10 minutes waiting, we once again had to fetch our own menus from the bar area. Two of our party had to search the restaurant and bar in order to find someone who could take our drinks order as if we waited any longer for table service, we may have grown old.The final insult to the evening was the service charge being added to the bill. What cheek. We could only justify the absolutely appalling lack of service and poor food by guessing all the staff had been made redundant and this was the last night of service... unfortunately for all unsuspecting diners out there, it was not. The aging of the decor and shabbiness around the edges can be forgiven if the food and service is up to scratch. Unfortunately it just accentuated how poor this restaurant really is. St George's Hotel, get your act together and invest in decently trained staff, decent chefs and then you can charge the premium for the the views from the restaurant.

Overpriced for what it is. A burger used to be £8-9 including fries. Now it's well over £15, and £20+ with a can of soda. What a rip off.

We had a great lunch here on a very cold day. The chicken hot pot and the pig in blankets on a hot roll are very recommendable.
