really cool night of dancing and singing along so fun to see the girl in the cloakroom suddenly dancing on the table... quite pricey and gets very packed but you expect that in soho.

Loud music, expensive drinks which is par for the course in a central London club you may think. However an overly aggressive general manager and openly racist bouncers with no idea of how to manage a door. Bouncers physically assaulting members on the group which were being polite and respectful. Ridiculously over the top venue management spoils a birthday night out. Not even the good singers can make up for this.

You will be allowed in with no problems. But the won't allow you to go back in if you came out for fresh air or to smoke after having one or two alcoholic drinks. So basically they want you to be drinking virgin drink. They ruined whole party of 40th birthday of my brother. Disgusting and unreasonable behaviour

I visited this place last night for a birthday bash. Despite a good start - the staff singers is a nice touch - the evening was ruined by the irrational and amateur door staff. Their attitude towards myself and my family/friends was appalling. I wouldn't recommended this venue and suggest you seek out alternatives - particularly for group parties - with professional and courteous door staff.

Visited this month with a group of friends . Very arrogant attitude towards paying customers we were visiting London on a special occasion staying at The Savoy ate at the Ivy and were recommended to try Archer Street Cocktail Bar. Drinks were delivered to our table having waited ages for these initially and waitress held the tray with one hand ( which is not recommended as the laws of gravity would clearly illustrate disaster once drinks are retrieved from said unstable tray ! ) Drinks went everywhere all over two of our guests, glass all over the floor area in beer our table and the response of the waitress was utterly obnoxious and just 5* rude. She blamed us for the spillage ?! What ever happened to the customer is always right?! We ordered more drinks but these took an age to arrive so a couple of us went to the bar and was told they wouldn't replace them as waitress had relayed untruthfully to the manager we had caused the incident.?! Charming ! Then another member of staff did eventually give us a replacement drink but not after a using us of not trying it on to get another free drink even though I clearly had cash in my hand on the bar for the barman to see. We will never visit this bar again and quite frankly I would suggest implementing good old fashioned manners / etiquette and extra training in Customer Service. What a shame our customer service experience of Archer Street Cocktail Bar was a mile short the past couple of days we experienced as paying guests of The Savoy. CPD much required!

Have been to this bar many times and also recommended it to many of my friends and absolutely loved it everytime but will never give them my custom again!I reserved an area in the bar for 16 people for my boyfriends 30th birthday from 6pm onwards. I arrived with my boyfriend and 5 other girls who were all allowed in with no problem at all.... when the remainder of the group arrived which was 7 boys and 3 girls they weren't allowed in and the manager decided that my boyfriend who had already allowed in with no question was too drunk. The bouncers on the door couldn't see a problem with anyone in the group but they said they aren’t allowed to overrule the manager. Of course everyone had, had a drink as we were out celebrating a 30th birthday but at 6pm no one was hammered by any means. We tried to reason with the manager by asking if he would let us come in and then if we are any trouble we will leave and even explained it’s his 30th birthday today which you will completely ruin as this will then leave us with no other plans he refused us entry. I have never felt so embarrassed or angry in my life. We had all had a drink but by no means at 6pm were we too drunk to be refused entry into a bar and the manager couldn't care less about our custom or the fact we had reserved an area and were here to celebrate a 30th birthday which HE was going to ruin. I can't explain how disappointed I am in the way we were treated on Saturday night and also how upset I was that it had been ruined so unfairly.

First visit and an amazing place to enjoy cocktails and music. Mixologists are on point and the singers on key. The atmosphere is brimming with fun and this place gets busy. Downstairs creates a perfect place to have a private function and the music caters for all tastes. Please beware that like all central London venues, drinks are very pricey and make sure that you take plenty of cash to have a great time.

This bar is great fun! I almost don't want to post this review as it feels like a well kept secret! However I know how hard it can be to find a great bar in London so duty calls.Once you get your name down on the list/make a reservation, then get past the slightly arrogant door men you can either go upstairs into the living room like bar or downstairs to the alpine style ski lodge. I've been multiple times and enjoyed both. You can't really go wrong. Drinks are expensive but typical of London prices, but you pay a premium for what comes with it. You'll be tapping your feet to the dj's tunes when you'll turn around and see a girl dancing on a table singing along to the track, they're so good, mostly west end singers who are on a break for fun, you'll think it's the cd playing they sound so authentic and it just adds to the buzz of the place. They play a real mixture of music and after being there for a short time you'll be singing along and probably dancing on a table with your mates, loving it! Really good fun and a mixed crowd makes it something interesting, unlike anything else.

I have booked a surprise birthday party to one of my best friends. They have been very nice and promptly on replies until I have sent the guest list and never heard back. A few calls later, 2 days prior to the event, a very rude lady called Sarah, after a lot of blah blah blah have informed they are fully booked, the fee was never taken from my credit card and she even tried to blame it on me obviously. Even though I spoke to a lady called Gemma less than 24 hours before this horrible call and she never said anything similar. Spoke to another lady called Amy a couple of times prior and she guaranteed the booking was there and all I needed to do was to send the final guest list once available. I'm extremely disappointed with the costumer service provided. I have worked in the industry and I know exactly how this works! Someone messed up a booking and mine got pushed out to cover somebody's mistake. I now use this kind venues ALL the time for my client events and I will NEVER go back there and will make sure I tell everyone I know NOT to host any kind of event there either! I'm disgusted with the treatment and need to find another place to my friend's birthday... If you made a mistake own it and don't try to blame on your future/might be client! Also if I have read the reviews before I wouldn't have even tried to book that place! Who do they think they are? Only been there once for another birthday and was boiling uncomfortably hot! If you're looking for a good time and stress free I would definitely avoid this place!

Well, what can I say. We were up for a fantastic night with another couple of friends. As we were a group of four I thought to email to see what their door policy was. On their website you can only book as a group of six. We were turning up at 6pm. The email back (let me know if you need to see this) said that is early enough: Just turn up. Well I am not sure how many of you reading this will be from outer London. Time is so previous when you are visiting the capital and therefore any choices or venues have to be reliable.Let me report that this is not. We were let in by the doormen (ha ha...doormen they were not) to reach the next level of handing in our coats. Then we had some strange man with excessive blonde highlights and a very bloodshot right eye stop us handing over the cash for the cloakroom. No he said I have to escort you out(James bond movie anyone?). We said we were having a very short set of drinks. Still had to very embarrassingly get coats back and be marched out of the "bar" nazi style. It was as if they didn't want to make money.Crazy stuff and before you even try to imagine that we looked somehow strange please note that we were run of the mill people. No trainers, track suits etc just an establishment which prefers coffin Dodgers ready to group up in groups of six! Avoid at all costs or go if you dare (happy to hear any good outcomes)

Fortunately as we were very early we managed to get in .The majority of the staff work in shows in the west end every 10 minutes or so , one of them gets on a small table and either sing or dance to the music- brilliant fun - great atmosphere and great drinks choices Definitely a place to go to for a fun night - but get yourself on the guest list - otherwise you will not get in Enjoy

Being a theatrical artist is probably one of the hardest professions save being a hit man. You please some and kill others. Finding your way past check-point-Charlie on the door is worth the folded paper people because then everything is sweet on Broadway inside the Archer St. Lounge. The value is in their performances delivered by the chorus girls not the price of a G&T. Nowhere in Soho is so Basil about it clientele than the Archer crew. And why not. They don't need to chase your pound or impress you with hello, they are Archers. Be proud, be loud Team Archer maintain your quirky entrance habits, upset your whining clients they don't get it. I do. You have style and flair coupled with talent that in any life could be walking the boards with folk paying to just take in the show let alone have a G&T included. Keep it all together people and keep the punters guessing. Remember everyone want to go where they are not allowed. And just in case you reject me at any time that will be me outside your door singing the blues.

We visited the Piste Bar which is the bottom section of the Archer Street complex. The whole place is decked out like an alpine ski lodge, as the name would suggest, complete with fake windows showing photographic 'views'. All good so far.The pros - the bar staff are also the live singers, and they are a really talented bunch. Great atmosphere, they belt out funk and classic rock as well as current chart tunes. They get among the crowd, stand on tables and give a bit of a Coyote Ugly type atmosphere. The cons- expensive drinks, you are in central London though, what do you expect? There is also a slight issue with the acoustics due to the loud music and low ceilings meaning the sound reverberates off the hard surfaces and the result is the music can seem at times painfully loud. There is no real area to get away from the noise apart from the toilets and cloakroom on the top floor. All in, a good bar but pricy and if you don't like super-loud music consider taking some ear plugs!

I'm not sure if either the bouncer, Mark, is one of those guys who overly enjoys the power of being a bouncer or if this is one of those establishments devoted to creating the image it is much more popular that it really is by making it needlessly difficult to get inside. Regardless it's a poor result.I arrived to join my fiancé at a friends birthday party and even though we had a reserved space and there were a stream of people leaving he refused entry on the grounds that the venue was full and I was late. The former clearly wasn't true and latter didn't make sense.Apparently it's nice inside though - lots of space to move around.

This is a copy of the reply i sent to Archer Streets audacious email, asking if i had a good night!Still awaiting a response!!!!Hi,I'm really upset and disappointed. You clearly stated in your email, my guests were to be there before 9.30pm or they would have to pay £10. At 9.05pm with ten of us already inside the venue, i could see 9 of my party stood outside in the rain. They were not being allowed in by your 'general manager'. He was saying that everybody had to be in by 9pm or else wait until 10.30pm and chance getting in with the walk ins, which i knew was utter nonsense. After long deliberation and talks that were only going to go one way, we decided that we'd have to leave your bar as to join the rest of our party and continue elsewhere. I was absolutely fuming! What should have been an amazing 40th celebration, nearly turned out to be a disaster down to your stubborn, self important, 'general manager'. May i add, our party were in couples bar 3 people, were impeccably dressed and impeccably behaved as always. I await your response with anticipation. Dean Harrison

I've been to Archer St many times before, and am always treated by the nicest, most caring and very talented staff.Hence why I decided to take my two sisters there who were visiting for the weekend. After staying for two hours, we decided to go for dinner. After that, we returned to see if we could continue our night there. The doormen, who were very nice and accommodating, immediately recognised us and let us back in, although they were almost at full capacity and we didn't have a table booked anymore. I would therefore say that they DO have very good customer service, unlike other reviews on here.Once inside, we were greeted by a vibrant atmosphere, the Maitre D with her husky, soulful voice putting Tina to shame with her rendition of Proud Mary, finished off by a split on the dance floor from the DJ that even La Spears would be jealous of.Granted, they can be strict on their door policy, but once inside, you fully understand that is to give the people already inside the room to dance and move around, so it doesn't end up like any other cramped bar, where you're constantly being elbowed by people passing by.We gratefully took that chance and started dancing the night away. When the Maitre D walked up to us I assumed it was to ask us to stop, as I fully understood we were taking up pretty much the whole dance floor. Instead she said: 'you're both hired', in a very playful, encouraging way! This once more proves that you can enjoy your night just the way you want to at Archer St. Whether it is sipping from your cocktail or busting a move to some golden oldies. They managed to give us a night me and my sibling will talk about for ages, and with family moments like that being very precious, I couldn't ask for more. Thank you Archer St, for everything. You're my little piece of heaven in central London!I never post reviews and had to even download the app, but this was just so very necessary!Victor

We arrived at 5pm on Saturday to a virtually empty bar to be told that our group couldn't enter without a booking because there was "a certain standard they were trying to up hold in their bar". Booked here in advance for a girly Christmas do and was told it was like a 'Coyote Ugly' bar. Got shown to our 'table' and ordered our drinks, an average of £9 a drink, a bit pricey than what we had paid so far. Had a lovely waitress allocated to our table. Because I hadn't eaten I order a couple of platters to share. After a short wait I was told by the waitress that we couldn't order because the kitchen were turning out the pre-ordered canapés and 'she would get lynched' if she tried - so she would try later for me. First singer started and got onto our table all of about 2 foot high (understand the H&S) aspect but hardly dancing on the bar type thing. Singers were absolutely fantastic. After the singer finished we were dancing on our table and a couple of our party were warned not to have a drink in hand whilst on the table, again went with the H&S thing. It then proceeded to get busier so our table was taken over not only by dancers but anyone else wanting to dance on it. Consequently there was a bit of pushing and shoving with our group thinking it was our table. I went to make a phonecall upstairs and whilst I was there another girl was hauled up by management and she was clearly complaining about our group. After I finished I went downstairs and others in my party were told that it was not our table it belonged to the club and anyone could use it, so pointless booking a table! I quietly asked who seemed the general manager why this was and he advised it was in the T's and C's of our booking and then out of blue said we had to leave? All our party were the rounded up and chucked out and we had to wait outside whilst our coats were collected. Our waitress and even one of the security staff didn't understand why we were being thrown out. Overrated, overpriced and management have no clear understanding or concept of customer relations and feel empowered to pick and choose who they allow into the club. As mentioned in a previous review 'we didn't fit' and they wanted to get some other people in. Fortunately it did not spoil our evening despite it being the 'main event' but there are plenty of other bars in London so I would not waste your time there.

This place is the worst. I went to Archer St last week after dinner with a friend, as we weren't ready to go home, but we wanted a change of scenery. The place is so pretentious it makes you so angry. Firstly, when you walk in they tell you to put your bags and coats in the cloakroom before you can enter the bar. The cloakroom doesn't cost, but why is it compulsory? it should be my choice if I want to put my coat in a cloakroom. I wasn't staying long and really didn't want the hassle. Then when you actually read the menu when you get into the bar, they highlight 'its for the customer's benefit'. The drinks are overpriced and the singers/staff are so cringe-worthy - really not my sort of thing but fair enough if you want a cheesy night. In addition the singers/staff literally don't leave you alone once you sit down. We had 2 different waitresses come up to us twice each in the space of 10 minutes to ask if we had decided on a drink. Are they getting commission for getting patrons drinks? I then decided to go up to the bar myself as I didn't want to see the dreaded 'service charge' on my bill for 2 drinks. Avoid at all costs! Much better pubs, dive bars that are more authentic.

But the (house) sauvignon was unpleasant and about £10 a glass. Vodka lime cocktail v nice .... I have been meaning to review this incredible bar for a long time!- The concept behind Archer Street is pure genius! There is nothing out there like it! The singers are so talented and combining that with their excellent hosting skills is just a match made in heaven! The venue is so brilliantly done, and the fact that they stay open late (due to the club downstairs) makes it even more appealing. *Special consideration goes to Michelle in the reservations team who kindly reserved a table for 2 for me and my mum even though they only can take bookings for over 6. Being around the Christmas period also, YOU DESERVE A MEDAL.* I've now been here twice, once with work and once with my mum (she loved every second of it- proving that age isn't a problem although she is a youthful 60 year old) and I plan on coming back again and again. I now always rave about you. Albeit the prices of the drinks are high, but it's worth it for the experience! The energy is like no where I have ever been. I especially love the music choices (from all genres and eras) - I CHALLENGE SOMEONE TO EXPERIENCE ARCHER STREET AND LEAVE WITHOUT A SMILE :)

Actually pretty sad that a bar that is well located and a good concept could be so let down by its staff. So I've been to this bar a few times and have loved the experience and have recommended it to friends and family which has sent a hell of a lot of custom their way (you're welcome!) that was until myself and my very well behaved friends somehow became victim to their "power hungry" security/staff. I am saddened that while thoroughly enjoying ourselves in the basement bar innocently dancing and chatting to the DJ we were approached and told to escort a security guy outside for the famous "fresh air and water" Yup we were then given our coats and not allowed to return without any explanation. Upon asking them why as we were not so intoxicated that we couldn't stand/making a nuisance of ourselves and certainly didn't think chatting to the DJ was a crime! We were nothing but polite and compliant to their demands and think they were almost waiting for an argument that didn't happen. Bemused and baffled when asked why we were told to do this when we were only happily laughing and dancing is beyond me. I have read past posts and indeed seems to be a running theme of get whoever you like out the bar/club that you feel threatened by if they are having far too much fun!!? "Don't you know you aren't allowed to drink and dance or look goofy in any way as our bar might melt or explode" seriously people get a grip! Even more amusing that having a quick chat to the DJ who was happy to oblige gets you thrown out. Sorry for being nice!! Archer Street I was polite, loyal, courteous and friendly and I couldn't have recommended you highly enough, however I won't be setting foot in your bar again but of course you won't care because I'm just a number. I just hope another bar opens with the same theme that swallows you up with their better customer service. Farewell.

Don't visit this bar it is terrible!!! I Emailed and called the venue to book a table 2 months before my birthday. They told me it was fully booked. Which was a lie, because when we went there after being made to wait at 9pm on a Saturday for 30 minutes the place was half empty. Some of my friends who happened to be female arrived later. They told them they had to call me to get inside as they had a big list. But even when I came outside they refused them entry and asked them to wait in line. The staff were really rude. Please don't visit this pretentious place run by ars*h*les.

Absolutely great experience... I made a reservation the same day and gave my partner a great surprise. It was amazing to watch virtually all staff show-off great talent in singing the songs my partner and I just wanted to listen to. The Dj was also there to back-up afterwards whilst we had the best cocktails .... The place really got busy and tight afterwards, met some nice matured people and enjoyed the time-out. Am not sure Archer can assure you a quiet time unless there is a private room and I advice you book early

A VIP area was booked in advance for eight people. Our group arrived separately, the first three people went in to the bar. My other three friends were having a cigarette outside before entering I explained this to the Doorman and went into the bar. The so-called VIP area was stuck in the middle of everyone and not enough seats to accommodate our party.I then received a text from my friend outside explaining that one of our party was not allowed in as she was intoxicated. I went outside to find out the reason for this and was confronted by a very rude Doorman. He said it was nothing to do with her behaviour it was her eyes, he told my friend to go away have something to eat and come back then he will think about it again. We had had a few glasses of champagne before arriving at the bar, but drunk we were not. There were people queueing and people inside the venue that were very drunk.Summing up the situation my opinion is that we just did not fit their criteria. Not to let this ruin our evening we made our way to Little Italy and had the best night ever thank you very much Archer Street champagne bar for making our night so special even though it wasn't with you.

Had been told about this bar so was planning to book it for a party. Made some enquiries and then went to check it out having called the night before as had read about difficulties getting in. The apparent General Manager came out and as good as accused me of lying that I'd enquired and called at all. He was awful! Obviously had some serious personal issues, the charm of a dead rat and no idea what customer service or being pleasant was. As an event organiser all I wanted was a quick look at the space as I had it in mind for some other clients too but he wouldn't even let us do that. Never before have I been so shocked by someone's unprofessional and unfriendly attitude for no reason other than a power trip and a serious chip on his shoulder. Just glad I found out before I sent invites out!

A quick one hour stop at Archers after a matinee theatre performance and then dinner at the Oxo tower. Nearly didn't get in as we hadn't reserved a table - I had no idea you needed to make a reservation just for a table for drinks. The first thing that hits you is the aroma, wonderful candles, incense and a beatufiul feel to this very small bar. The atmosphere was wonderful, a really mixed bag of young city workers and older groups. The cocktails are all great, probably too much ice and not enough spirits and not cheap, but the highlight of the evening is the staff who break into song at regular intervals. What a lovely bunch of very talented singers, who just pop up onto the bar or stand on a table and blast out a perfect song. You have a great recipe here, well done. We will definitely come back.

I went there on a Saturday night as part of a birthday party. We had to wait 45 minutes in a queue before getting inside, and paid £10 to get in each. I have to say this is shocking considering it is only a bar! The door staff were rude and pretentious, we had one female friend who arrive alone, and they refused to let her inside and asked her to wait outside alone (it was at least a 30 minute wait), because our group did not have a table???. The cocktails are average in taste, used too much ice and are overpriced. I will not return again nor would I recommend it for others, there are lots of excellent cocktail bars in London this place is not one of them.

Went here on Friday night. The place was rammed, but despite this I had a great time. The staff are superb, the cocktails are great (not the best place if you are a beer drinker), and they do an ok priced prosecco for a club. The music is excellent and the staff all take turns getting up on the tables and singing. Their voices are universally excellent, so I assume they are hired on this basis. Expect to be held outside in a pointless queue, ensuring the bar looks cool whilst you get cold. Once inside you will be required to cloak everything (on the top floor). Range of real beer (ales) is zero, with just three supermarket lagers on offer. Music was fab if a little too loud to speak with your company.

Unfortunately the manager ruined my brother's birthday by evicting our party of 40 on account of one one member of the group being understandably upset when he was told he didn't 'look right' for the bar so was refused entry. He quickly aplogised, however this was not enough for the manager and the whole group was escorted to collect bags and coats. Unbelievably irrational and unreasonable response to an issue he first instigated. The entire group remained polite and calm and gave him no reason to justify his decision.

Went here for a couple of friends joint birthday party recently. Arrived 45 minutes before they start chargin a cover (starts at 9.30) were kepy waiting outside the until said charge is implemented despite the place being empty. General manager is awful, didn't let several people in for jumping the queue, despite the fact our party made up the entire queue this was then explained to him. He changed his tune syaing some people were too drunk despite everybody being legal to drive at this point, then because we were a large group despite having booked a gueslist of 40 people so they knew a large group was turning up. Ended up with half our group inside, half elsewhere. Doorman clearly on a power trip ruined the begining of the night until we moved on. There is however a very nice bar 50m down the road from this venue that I would recommend.

From the minute I got there its staff saying don't stand there, that area is reserved, do you have a reservation, you need to put your coat in blah blah blah. We have been to Archers a couple of times having first being introduced to the bar by a theatre friend of ours. It has a greet buzz, gets busy but friendly atmosphere, doormen are great at weeding out anyone who might have the wrong attitude. A great place to go for a special night out, prepare for cheese and you will have a great time. The drinks are pricey, but the cocktails are excellent and you're paying to be entertained as well as for the drinks. One criticism I have is of the staff downstairs in the club part when collecting drinks - when you've paid for expensive bottles of Prosecco and Champagne, you don't expect to have the ice bucket taken away from you and the remainder of the bottle to be poured into glasses to get warm before you've even finished your first glass. But other than that, a top night out.

I booked a table for 25 few months ago for my partner surprise b’day party, and was concern after reading all the bad review from here. However, from the day I make the reservation to the moment we enter the door all were not excellent but great customer service experience. We all arrived at the door & were greeted with security that immediately identified our booking, and we whisked thru downstairs without delay. A cocktail waitress immediately attended to my order (pre-ordered drink packages) within 15mins, all my guests have a drink in their hand.Okay, there were always some trouble makers at busy club like this but everyone actually there to have a good time. Which all my guests include myself had a fab night, dancing, singing along with all the waitress/waiters who were all brilliant singer & entertainer. We didn't leave the club until after 1.15am & this place still full of buzz & as lively as ever. Love it, thanks for a great night & we all loved it. will be back soon…

Great venue for a few drinks with friends, funt atmosphere and brilliant cocktails. At a time when London night-time establishments seem to always require a deposit just to enter, this place is a breath of fresh air. Provided you arrive relatively early it's easy to get into and has a great crowd without the snobbery associated with most london members clubs.

Firstly my friend had to go to London to secure the table for 27 of us mixed men and women. When we arrived we waited for our whole group to be there, we all go ID'ed not an issue. We went down stairs to find our table had been changed from the one my friend had booked which was a shame as the table was a in Van type thing due to it being a festival theme the table was not big enough for all of us. So we had half outside out of the van and half in not good when it's someone's birthday celebrations. We was very much stuck in a corner away from the dance floor. After travelling 1hour and 30 mins to get to this highly recommended venue from two very very good customers of archer street you can imagine we wasn't very happy. Secondly we asked if we could buy bottles of vodka and rum. As this is what we drink as a group and singles was going to be too expensive. The man offered to go and 'see what he could do' the waiters attitude was dreadful they looked down on all of us and could see they had it in for us. When the waiter came back the answer was exactly as expected NO. So we put a credit card behind the bar and within 45 mins of being there our bill was £640. That wasn't a problem but the reason I'm angry is bottles would have been a lot cheaper. We had another incident at the venue which I won't go in to detail about but the staff was 100% in the wrong and the staff did not deal with the problem in a very nice manor they chucked out 5 of us girls and decided to drag us up the stairs like rag dolls. After explaining our selves they decided to throw all 27 of us out. Then they wouldn't let one of the men go down settle the bill and get his credit card so his credit card had to stay at archer street. We wasn't in a position to go and get it back the next day either. As you can imagine 27 people now in London with no where to go. We had been in archer street for about 1 hour 30 mins and got over charged, had a terrible table, had staff be extremely rude to us, treated all of us in a disgusting way. Overall a dreadful experience I would not recommend anyone who isn't a celebrity to go here seems you can't get a good service if your a nobody. An appalling evening to say the least thanks archer street for ruining my friends birthday. Such a shame as it's actually a really pretty bar upstairs with a good vibe.

I used to go a lot. loved the place. had some cracking nights and over the years must have earned a lot of reward points! Apparently it's all changed. A lot. Doormen oscillate between obnoxious & ignorant. The clipboard guy has that provincial "no jeans no trainers" type mentality from Phoenix nights. Any club where they make you justify going in to give them your patronage is of little interest. Once in, frankly everyone inside seems to have become ghastly to boot.
