Brioche Doree in City of London, Westminster

La Briocje Doree es una tienda especializada en hacer bollería francesa, es relativamente barato a comparación de otras alternativas para tomar desayuno. Bueno en general.

Exquisito, fresco, variado y de excelente calidad. Porciones normales (no para compartir). Saca del apuro.

Excellent pain au chocolat and hot chocolate... I love the quatre fromages sandwich!!!! The prices to-go are cheaper than eating in the restaurant. All the food sold there is fresh... Good quality overall...

Before I start this reveiw: I am refering to the Brioche Doree on Piccadilly. Not sure if it is this one - the TA map doesn´t pin the Brioche Doree anywhere near James street (the address given here) James street is just off Piccadilly so it could be this one. The food looked ok - was an alternative to all the coffee shops which were much the same but with a different name. I went looking for an energy kick - a smoothie or something similar but they had orange blossom green tea which made me change my mind. I was a bit disappointed that the tea was a teabag and not loose tea but it was ok. I ate a savoury pastry, spinach and feta cheese - was ok - nothing special. My companion had a square of veg. pizza. Everything was quite uneventful and was to be written off as a food stop. Then I went to the toilets. I think public toilets are attended better. I am hard pushed to remember a dirtier toilet. I remember thinking that it would be more hygienic to not wash my hands than use Brioche Dorees facilities. Luckily I had some wipes with me. I won´t go on to describe what was on and around the toilets - The toilet facilities where generally very worn and in need of gutting. Never again.- I´m returning to the coffee shops everyone knows the names of
