Brilliant pie restaurant! Really nice authentic establishment that has everything you look for in a good British restaurant. In addition to excellent pies, good service and delicious beer, there is also a small garden on the first floor where you can sit comfortably. Highly recommended.

Typical English pub where you eat and enjoy very well. Courteous and professional staff, in particular India who was very attentive to our needs/intolerances, advising us on the best.

Everything was great! Including Marie, who served us! The pies, fish and chips, drinks, and sticky date pudding were 100percent!

Always love The Windmill for a pie and a pint. Young’s mix for an authentic beer and great service. We never feel rushed here and make a point to come every time we are in the UK.

Nice pub with a roof terrace, which is rare in this part of London. Pie wasn't as good as the reputation suggests, but my friend enjoyed theirs.

We’ve had the loveliest of times at the Windmill. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and food was absolutely delicious. Deserves all the awards it’s gotten!

The food was just so-so. We had to wait on our meals and they were over priced for a Sunday Roast. We may have done better by just ordering bar food. The staff was nice but the long wait and so-so food put a damper on the meal.

We came specifically to this place in the center for the pies. It did not disappoint our expectations, spectacular pies and very kind staff. Luke gave us excellent advice. Try the sticky toffee pudding!

Today I had the best Sunday roast I have ever had! The atmosphere is so nice, the staff is friendly. I'd recommend this place if you want to experience British culture.

Admittedly, I came here for the fish and chips and that's all I ate. It was heavenly. Lightly battered, perfectly fried, and the chips were out of this world. Would come back again and again.

A place that I 100% recommend if you need to eat in London. Special mention for the “shepherds pie” which gave us a delicious insight into English cuisine! Their wine collection was great, not to mention the service which was top notch, don’t hesitate!

I went to the windmill with friends for a meal on a Saturday and got great service from Luke and amazing steak and mushroom pies and guiness. We will be back!

Had the Steak and Kidney pie with mash and if I’m being honest, the pie was average at best, Kidney was rubbery (Could and did bounce) and the steak was more like mince meat with a couple pieces of steak. Pasty was a little dry and mash you could tell was old and also not enough. The gravy while the most flavourful thing about the dish (Yes I did pour the gravy in the pie) was thin. I don’t thinks it’s worth the price and I’ve had better. £25 for pie mash and greens.

Was recommended by a local to come here for delicious pub food. It did not disappoint! The fried haddock melted in your mouth and the chicken, bacon, and leek pie was hot and fresh. Marie was a friendly and helpful server. Come here for a great experience!

Great pub to watch the game and mingle

They say it’s one of the best places in London to have the pies. Perfect place to bring friends who came to visit London. The pies are very delicious and the choice is rather big so you could find the one you like. Polite and kind service. The place itself is very good as well: good location, everything is clean and the atmosphere is great(especially if there’s a football match(obviously)). Highly recommend to visit this place and try their pies. (Pardon me for such a variety of media, but hey on one of them you can see how you are supposed to eat the pie. ;) )

Absolutely delicious Dorset lamb shepherd’s pie and pork sausage roll! The dining area was nicely decorated and the waitress was very nice and friendly too. This is a pub where I’ll definitely return in near future!

Friendly and helpful staff. Great place to go if you want some British pub food in particular pastry pies. I ordered a pulled pork and Bradley apple pie with mash and it was really filling. Couldn’t resist the pastry but the pulled pork would be perfect if it’s a bit more juicy! Our party of 5 people were all happy with the meal.

Popped in en route from London Pride parade before heading to soho, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Had a couple of drinks and some chips to line the stomach! Will definitely revist for a meal soon.

Our server Ana was amazing and so was the food. The entire experience would be 5 stars except when we entered the bar we were greeted by a Blonde lady who was incredibly rude to us. Thankfully Ana seen this and apologised.

Excellent pies one of the best places for a pie in London. Great service from Marie. Cask ale is on tap but today only Young's London Original, ideally three should be at least 3 quality cask ales on tap so please take a look into this and improve the selection.

I had mushroom pie and tomato salad. Since the portions are large, I think it would be best to split one portion between two or three people. It is a popular restaurant and can get quite crowded, so we recommend making reservations in advance.

Lovely pub. Workers are friendly. Shepherds pie was pretty good and fish and chips were well fried. Everything was under seasoned for our taste though.

I went to the Windmill on Friday having not been for a while. I brought with me some very fussy and demanding colleagues and all of us could not have been more happy with the food and the amazing level of service that they gave us. So lovely to see happy, smiling and accommodating people from the moment we entered the pub until we had finished our delicious lunch. I will be back and I will recommend on. Thank you!

This place is legit! I’ve lived in London 10 years and yet to find a decent Sheppards Pie till today. The hostess Ana was amazing and took great care of my group. I would definitely recommend if you’re in the area, such luck we happened upon this place.

Your typical British Pub in the middle of posh Mayfair.....supposed to be famous for its award winning Pies. Frankly, overall, the 'pub-grub' were just borderline good and acceptable, IMO, over-rated. The overly dry Scotch eggs were a disappointment. The fish components of the Fish & Chips were over cooked. The batter is too excessively thick. The Pies were ho-hum...nothing stood out. Turned out, the star of the evening was the ' Sticky Toffee Pudding ' dessert!! Not too sweet, moist and addictively tasty!

We had an absolutely epic evening at the Windmill the private room and bar was excellent! Rej & Rohit ensured our glasses were always filled. They were really friendly and helpful and the other staff that came to assist our 28 person party were also really attentive. We had an excellent evening and will definitely come again soon!!

Great advice from the backpacker's guide. After a long day of sightseeing we arrive at this very lively place but which contains a small, quiet restaurant at the back and which accepts children even in the evening. Typical cozy place, super friendly welcome from a very smiling Maria. A great beer and fish and chips to die for with delicious homemade sauces all for a fair price which in London is not easy to find. I recommend +++

Friendly staff welcomed us and made suggestions to help make decisions with the menu. Local beer options available went well with the Shepards pie. The sticky toffy pudding was the best we had our entire trip.

What an incredible place, was told their pies are one of the best. It most definitely is! Ordered the steak and kidney pie during lunch service and Ana-Maria was attentive, has a great knowledge about the pies and most importantly was smiling throughout! She kept coming back to ask if everything is ok and if I needed anything else. Will most definitely be coming back here to try some of their other pies!

Whilst the service was very good, the pie was nice but not great and my dessert was tepid which seeing as it was microwaved wasn't very good and I should have sent it back. However several of my friends have been here and said it was excellent so maybe we went on an off day!

We arrived on time for our lunch reservation to be welcomed by the friendly team. As the pies are freshly made, we were advised that there would be a wait for our choice of steak and mushroom pie. And the pies were absolutely worth waiting for! Excellent food, service, and ambience.

Adi Server The food was truly excellent. The strong point of this pub are obviously the pies, the Steak and Kidney one is spectacular. The Shepherd Pie is also excellent.

Very good front of house team. Strange plate dressing-spread chips over the cold plate and plonk the pie on top, resulting in cold chips. The food was fine but hot plates and not spreading out the chips(attempt at looking like a bigger portion?) would for me, be a better option. And l know there was gravy but the pie filling is edging towards being too dense, there should be some sauce inside.
