Great conveniently located city pub. Service is always quick and polite, which is always made more pleasing because in the summer it gets very very busy because it's popular with the 'city types' of which I am one. It's got some nice upstairs seating for the tourists though. Couldn't comment on the food though, never had any there.

Popped in after making a deliberate choice to visit this place, which I think is quite new. Went in, sat down, it was quiet and Easter Sunday. Casually dressed guy offered me a menu and then a conversation between him and two other staff broke out next to the empty table beside me. One-off the staff was being told off for doing something wrong - I sat and wondered why no one had either a drink inform or even a badge to show they were staff. I decided what I wanted to eat from the small menu. All three then walked off and no one came back for 6 or 7 minutes. I decided that was too long considering how quiet it was and I was getting bad vibes from the place. For somewhere that serves sausages, pies and gravy there was no smell at all, I couldn’t even see anyone with food so I decided to trust my instinct and left. A restaurant that isn’t interested in making sure customers are enjoying the experience is no good. Won’t last long I don’t think.

We had very good seafood lunches st this conveniently located London restaurant, but the location and quality make it a popular lunch spot for those working in the area as well. Get there before noon to have a shot at getting a table without a reservation. Note to Loch Fyne: Please letthe servers tell us what the specials for the day are. Having to hold up the chalkboard for us to read is awkward, time-consuming, and implies that you don’t think they’re able to remember them. The wait staff was very good and they don’t need a prop.

We wanted to treat ourselves, as both off work and not been to Castle for a while. We were not disappointed. We both had sunday roasts, which were excellent. Roasties, yorkshire pud, quality of meat, cooking of veg, gravy, all superb. Staff very welcoming and efficient. Definately be going back. Only quibble is main dining area very dark, maybe take screens off windows in there to let some light in. Table numbers would be useful. Other than that, brilliant!

Come here regularly, lovely environment, friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Food always very good. Yesterday had the soy pork belly for starter, it was very nice although the portion was rather small, followed by the rib eye steak which is always good, this time was so delicious and cooked to perfection. The only complaint I would make is, the toilets. I am disabled and yesterday they were in an even worse state. There is only 2 ladies toilets, could not find entrance to a toilet for the disabled. One of them, the lock was broken, so tried waiting to use the other one, only to find the sink was flooded with water and water on the floor was so slippery was scared getting up in case of having a fall, adding to the fact that there was nowhere to hold on to as it wasn't a disabled toilet! It's always busy there, which is good as it shows its popularity but perhaps they really do need a member of staff to check the toilets that they are clean and safe. Furthermore, I would also like to mention the disabled parking bay, which would be great if it was more nearer to the restaurant ie. Allocated at the front as it is a little difficult to park, ie reversing to get out as the width is rather narrow. Despite the last two comments, this is a wonderful restaurant for dining.

We happened upon this pub and really enjoyed the fish and chips. The mushy peas were also surprisingly delicious. The bartender was very friendly. She took our order at the bar, had us go upstairs to find a table, and then brought the food up to us. Would recommend!
