Parlor provided a cozy atmosphere for a Sunday roast. The roast itself was satisfying, with succulent meat, potatoes and a lovely Yorkshire pud. The roast was very good, but not enough, in my opinion, to be exceptional. For dessert the sticky toffee pudding was very good but the apple crumble was subpar. Overall, Parlor is a solid choice for a Sunday lunch.

Returning to London after a 30 year absence, we have eaten out every week and like to explore off the beaten path. Kensal Rise was such a discovery. Mrs, who is the best cook anyone knows, thought Parlour was up there with a recent Michelin * dinner, she loved it and wants to try Portland Road asap. Service was fair, ambience in the garden was great, and the food was original & faultless.

This place is perhaps our new fav for Sunday roast. The meal is comparable in terms flavour to our fav but there are a few things that tip the scale. The Irish soda bread with the salted butter was amazing. We had the cauliflower and cheese as a side and glad we did. The portions were huge and very reasonably priced. We ate in the terrace which was perfectly decorated. The staff were friendly and attentive. The only thing I didn’t love was the frozen watermelon slush. It was way too sweet for me…I added 3 teaspoons to my small glass of water and it was perfect.

We live on a stretch of the Thames - between Marlow and Bray - that has more Michelin-starred restaurants than it has filling stations, police stations, dentists, or…pubs that deliver food and service as interesting, tasty and as good value as this place in NW10, off Kensal Rise - the next, emerging, cool, edgy part of London, according to no-one we can name. Drives us mad that we can’t get decent quality food at non-outrageous prices, so we drove up to NW10, an hour along the M40, of a sunny Sunday morn… Rosie (daughter) had moved in around the corner. So her, and boyfriend Charlie, Mrs H and me set off to check out a hitherto untested but recommended pub/restaurant - yet another traditional London boozer reincarnated to accommodate the demand from the bright young things who are helping this area become yet another part of town out to compete with the over-trendy, over-priced areas not so far from here. We loved it all! A busy, buzzing Sunday lunch; a sensible menu with great roasts and enough other yummy options to please the majority of diners, with all the trimmings. They love their cocktails here. Good beers. A ‘straightforward’ wine list that admittedly might disappoint the more demanding connoisseur. We had a few plates from their excellent starters, with lovely breads in danger of overloading us before the main event but that’s our fault! All in all, a great find that we could only wish would move to a high street nearer home. In my view, after 30 years since moving out of London, it only went to demonstrate once again that if it’s originality, service and value for money you’re looking for, the leafy outer reaches of the capital can still fall short of the good old London town itself. Nothing parlous about this ‘ere Parlour!

This is our local pub and it it has many lovable qualities.. its quirky and original and has nice touches like free popcorn and there is a lovely outdoor area. But what lets it down is the casual sloppy attitude of the bar/waiting staff who always manage to give the impression that they have other far more interesting things to be getting on with rather than serving your drink. They take an order and then drift off and 10 minutes later you wonder what's going on. They don't know anything about the wine list or even the prices. Why employ amateurs when you add service charge to the bill?

WOW!! 5⭐️ Such a cute and quaint little spot that is so much bigger than it looks. The service was wonderful and everything was super clean, including the bathrooms. The Roast lunches we had were absolutely delicious. The chicken was super moist and tender And that bread sauce was super. Plenty to eat and we had some to take home. If you don’t try the sticky toffee pudding you are completely missing out. It was phenomenal!! Worth the trip alone! Can’t wait to come back to try more.

This place is now officially one of my favourite places. For my husband's birthday on Monday, I wanted him to have the best Sunday roast the morning before. Not only have I booked a table on the wrong day (I booked it for Monday -the actual birthday-, a day with no sunday roast), I also booked it for the wrong time (Sunday roast starts at 12). But the establishment made it possible for us to have a table and we were able to try the amazing dishes of Parlour. Their welcoming attitude, warm service, smiling faces made our visit great and my mistake a funny memory:) And everything we ate was immensely delicious! The interior atmosphere feels warm with local characteristics and little gems like a small Tardis by the window (can't miss that one). We are definitely coming back (already booked for August). Thank you very much Parlour. Ps. I don't want to encourage anyone to make a reckless reservation. Usually, I'm very good at it:)

Sunday Roast - some bits good, other bits not so much. Highlight was the roast beef. Cooked medium rare served in thick slices. Very tasty. Ditto the chicken for taste but the roast pork was somewhat rubbery and disappointing. Low marks too for both roasties and yorkshires (bit burnt) both of which lacked flavour. Ambiance was okay but quite noisy. Might come back but not for the Sunday Roast.

Had the specials for around £10 fish and chips on Fridays and Dans cow pie on Thursday lunchtime. The fish is very soft. The batter very crispy. The tartar sauce is good. I really liked the mushy peas. There are some whole peas in the mixture very pea sweet. The fries were alright. Would've preferred chips instead. The pie was lovely. Its in a casserole dish with bone in the middle. Not quite cows horns iirc in Desperate Dans comics, but close enough. Think the green stuff is parsley mixed with bone marrow and something else, don't think its couscous. The braised beef was soft and tender and the pastry crust was not too heavy and has a good taste. Its a very good pie.

I’ve been to this venue a few times in the last year normally for birthday gatherings. Every time I think this experience could be so greatly improved if they put some acoustic treatment into the space. As a diner at a party it was completely impossible to hear the person speaking opposite you. You could only converse with the person directly next to you if they shouted in your ear! The speakers in the main bar were also not suitable for event sound - very poor quality. The food was OK but not special. The staff were mixed generally friendly but bar staff were making up the prices of drinks I tried to raise this issue with the bar man but was dismissed - a single tequila and tonic was £6.30 one minute and the next time I requested was £7.25? Something dodgy going on there! Do better please The Parlour we see you!

We had the Goats cheese starter, ohhh so delicious, I could have eaten two of those but needed to save space for mains. We had tge steak (cooked to perfection), pie and the sausage and mash - all perfect. Even the side salad that came with the steak was delicious (micro salad leaves and dressing). This was our 2nd visit for Taste Film x Parlour and it delivered again! We arrived almost an hour early but Parlour are ready to welcome you and offer you a seat for a drink or 2 before heading into the private room. It was beautifully setup with custom menus and little nods to the film and popcorn which was topped up for us when we finished it within about 5 minutes of sitting down… We watched ‘Chef’ and I was anxious about how the food would be, considering it’s such a foodie film but honestly, the dishes were incredible. I’d have paid good money for them each separately and the cocktails were good too. My absolute favourite was the grilled cheese with the cubanos coming a firm second. The way this is organised really needs recognition - enough staff to ensure everyone is well looked after and they are so clever with the way they set the tables up and serve so no-one is really walking in front of the movie. It makes the relatively expensive ticket worth every penny and I look forward to booking our next.

I was so disappointed with my Sunday Roast at The Parlour. The roast potato's were stone cold and hard as rock and suspiciously all looked the same size. The cabbage was chopped rather than in strips almost looked as if it was the dregs from the pot, everyone had a half a carrot and the most watery and tasteless gravy The Beef was cooked to perfection. Most pubs give an option of quarter or half a chicken- we were given two chicken thighs. To top it off we asked if we could take the soda bread home and our waiter picked it up from the plate with his hand and packed it up for us. Not sure his hands were clean after using the card machine and clearing tables. The pub was busy with had a good atmosphere. We were a family of four adults and our table was booked for 3.30pm.

A group of friends and I went for a sunday roast. The food was mediocre, gravy was flavourless and watery but that wasn't the main issue. The staff told us we had to order within 15 minutes of arriving, naturally for a big group people arrived over a few minutes so it felt rushed, and they were annoyed and pressed us to order when we asked for a minute as we hadn't had a chance to look at the 3 menus we were given between the 8 of us. When we did get to ordering the waitress was annoyed that we didn't know the number of people at the table getting each option as if we had sat there discussing it for 1 person to rattle off the whole order. The food came within 5 minutes, the same time as a drink ordered on arriving came. We were given one small jug of gravy to share between the 6 meat eaters which was absolutely not enough, when I asked for more they brought an even smaller jug which was half full... The roast was £23 and for that you got potatoes to share between a few of you? If one person ordered the roast, would they get their own bowl of potatoes? No salt or pepper on the table. The waitress ignored us whenever we tried to get their attention, they all seemed very angry and flustered. Our plates were then moved while someone was still eating and we were immediately offered dessert. When we said we didn't want anything the waitress seemed offended and snatched all the menus off the table. We were then asked to pay for the bill as they wanted the table back, and the waitress was annoyed as people worked out what they needed to pay. The whole experience last 1.5 hours maximum for a large party and we all left feeling like the place was just really rude and very expensive. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Date Visited 10/2023: Nick Jonas’s recommendation led me here to indulge in the Parlours Famous Posh Sunday Roast Platter. The ambiance was delightful, and the service, from entrance to exit, was exceptional. Despite being shared by three people, the meal left us with ample leftovers. It was indeed worth a try.

Still one of the best British restaurants around. And that is not a pejorative. Idiosyncratically delightful and delicious. All day breakfast is particularly fine as is the Cow pie. My colleague (a yorkshireman) loved the rhubarb crumble. And he agreed that in these days of monstrous (if understandable) increases in prices in all venues, this was very good value, especially by west London standards. The staff were charming and professional too - another increasing rarity. And the venue (old pub) tucked away just beyond the north end of Ladbroke Grove is as authentic as you could wish for.

Me and my mother were out for our weekly Sunday lunch. We’d planned to come here and I thought I’d confirmed my booking but I hadn’t. Silly me. The manager Kasia found us a table even though they were very busy. I would defo recommend booking in advance. Food, staff and atmosphere are all fantastic. Would highly recommend for Sunday lunch or any other occasion

Lovely pub with good atmosphere, Welsh one was serving at the time and was very welcoming but seems like all the staff got on too

We had the meal deal which included breakfast and lunch at the Premier Inn Wembley Park and it was certainly value for money. The breakfast was superb with excellent choices for a chain hotel and the menu for dinner was very good too. Great value

Food was good. Had the mixed grill which was excellent. Closing for a refurb at the moment. Has proper cider on tap too.
