Pre booked our table prior to going to Wembley for football. Table was reserved and ready for us on arrival just before 12. Bar staff were very busy but very quick & super efficient. We had 4 lunches and the food quality was better than we expected for a busy pub. The staff were great and very helpful. The young girl who appeared to be in charge was doing a super job keeping her staff on the ball clearing tables etc. Liked the staff going round asking if we wanted to order more drinks without going to the bar whilst eating.

If you want an excruciatingly long wait for your meal, this is the place for you.

On Monday the 7th April, we visited The Preston, for a "quick meal". My son ordered our food at the bar, and came back to say the barman had been rude to him. Staff looked very unhappy, and not really intetested in their jobs, or engaging with customers. Although we both ordered very simple meals, one a steak,the other gammon, we waited a total of TWO HOURS for our food to arrive. In that space of time,we could have watched Gladiator, driven to Oxford or Brighton, with time to spare! We could have had a spa treatment, and relaxed. People who had come in after us had their food out before ours (one,va mother with 3 kids). When we arrived a gentleman had just received a starter. In the course of waiting, he also received his main, had a chat with another Patron, ate a pudding and left. At this point, I went to enquire, and was told our order would be out soon. We still waited a further 45 minutes after that to receive our meal. Had payment not been required when ordering, we would have left. I could have cooked a full Christmas dinner in that time! I'm convinced they had somehow missed our order. All we received was a weak apology. Definitely will NOT be returning to this establishment.

Laura was a fantastic server- I appreciate her kindness and her dedication to her work. I would definitely re-visit. The food was amazing and served hot. I like the interior design, seating is clean and bathrooms are too.

What a fabulous morning at the Preston in Wembley. Came with my grandchildren for the breakfast with Bluey and Bingo event and it was amazing. The pub was decorated wonderfully and all children received Bluey gift bags. Food and drinks were great and the children loved the music too! Bluey and Bingo were amazing, making sure each child got time with them and lots of opportunities for photos. Thank you Rueben and the team for a wonderful morning and very special memories!

We came for Breakfast with Bluey - well organised. Although there was a rush for food, when it came out it all tasted very fresh and good value for money. They have definitely upgraded and we look forward to coming back to any new upcoming events!

Had a truly terrible meal on Friday. Waited so long and still the starter was bought after the mains had arrived. That prawn starter was bland the only flavour was the flavour of not exactly fresh oil. The lasagna main was burned, the chicken burger was dry and looked like a child had prepared it. The steak pie was probably the best and this is not a compliment. The sticky toffee pudding was flavourless and chewy and served with custard when ice cream had been requested. Had we not been there with an elderly relative who needed to eat, we would have cut our loses and cancelled the order after 15 mins but we kept being assured another 2 or 3 mins. I think the food took more than 50 mins to arrive in the end and there was no acknowledgement of this. I have usually had reasonable food served quickly and efficiently in this place but any good will I had was completely undone by this really bad experience.

UPDATE: Since my last visit 8 months ago, seems like much has changed, unfortunately for worse. I visited the pub in a group of 6, where almost everyone ordered rib of beef Sunday lunch. However, when the waiter brought dishes we received a completely different cut of meet, and as well much smaller portions than last time. I was very much annoyed that no one informed us about unavailability of rib of beef. Furthermore the service was subpar, as I needed to ask for the extra gravy 3 times. For the desserts we waited as well quite long, even though the pub was not full. There was not even a soap in bathroom. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this place. __________________________________________________ A great pleasant surprise. Went for a Sunday lunch (beef rib), which I highly recommend as it was cooked perfectly with good amount of sides. Ordering through the website is quite handy too!

Popped in here and had a full English Breakfast on a Sunday morning. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Good food, nice pub, great staff, nice and warm, a perfect Sunday morning. The Sausages were excellent and so was the rest of the breakfast. Thanks

I think it's named after him from The Ordinary Boys. Doesn't bother me like it bothers some. I don't care. I've never even seen him here. Forget Preston. The Preston is a great boozer.

Delightful place. It's run by the Beefeater chain. Some friends and I meet regularly for lunch and before that we had visited another Beefeater close by - The Travellers' Rest in Kenton - a grim place with poor service where most of the menu items were unavailable most of the time because, they claimed 'there had been an ammonia leak at their headquarters'. One of us suggested The Preston instead - only five minutes' drive from The Travellers' Rest. We went there. What a difference! Highly recommended.

Ordered drinks on the app. To my horror there is a service charge applicable. Never will I use App to order drinks or food.

Best pub in and around Wembley. Quality food, good ambience and good service. They used to serve amazing fresh made nachos. Its a shame they stopped it. Hope they will bring back them soon.

Great local pub but I'm surprised that we have to use the app to order and pay, I would had preferred more talks with the staff.

Raul was very helpful and polite, he assisted us throughout the evening. He's been really helpful and provided a perfect service for me and my family. The atmosphere of the pub was great and we come here very often. I would recommend.

There is a lot of improvement that needs to be taken care off. 1. If you’re advertising the pub as a family friendly pub then there shouldn’t be groups of young teens hanging around, etc. This is a big put off. 2. The quality of food needs to be improved. 3. The service of having to go up to the bar to place your food order isn’t acceptable, having table service in a pub is what families require. 4. The choice on the menu is very limited, especially kids menu. 5. Not once did we get told whether the kids or anyone have allergy’s (this is so crucial as we do have allergy’s) and if something happened then this would have taken its turn but you need to train your staff to ask this.

Really cozy and people are polite amd friendly

The lady that served us was cheerful and friendly. The food was great, really good size portions and tasty. We were served each course in a timely way, no waiting ages between each course, and the price for the 3 course set meal was very reasonable. The seating could have been more comfortable, the chairs were very mismatched, but other than that we enjoyed our experience.

Came here to celebrate Mother's Day- we were served by Teigen who did a great job plus the food was excellent 👌

I’d like to write a review for the Preston pub Preston Road Wembley it’s a pub myself and my wife use a lot and have always had a great experience , the staff are very courteous , friendly and professional and our favourite is a friend called Laura who is always very helpful. Steve and Carol Maskell.

I visited the newly refurbished The Preston with a friend for brunch. It's been updated to a very nice standard. The staff were extremely friendly especially Laura, who went up and above to make sure we were happy. She ensured that we entered the car details as the machine had been moved from it's normal location following refurbishment. The food is very good value for money and worth the visit. I would highly recommend going to the Preston, my friend visited the bathroom and said it was nice and clean and updated to a nice standard.

It’s an amazing experience to come here after the refurb!!! As I entered I got greeted kindly and polite by employees. Andreea, the bartender, greeted me politely and kindly, she has amazing customer service skills that made the experience even better. The haddock and chips is my favourite. Do come here and try it for yourself. :)

First visit, I absolutely loved it. I had a brilliant breakfast seated by the fire. The food the service......excellent. followed by a couple of glasses of wine. Well, it is the season to be merry🎄🤭

It was Christmas day and we had 7 in our party. We arrived early, about 11:40am for our booking at 12pm ,and we're seated straight away. We noticed We were the first to arrive. We were served our drinks pretty fast and all seemed to be going well. All the tables filled and food started arriving to tables all around us but not us which we thought was unfair as we had some young children in our party that were getting very hungry and as we had been the first to arrive we felt forgotten. We asked when our food was coming and we're told "very soon" but 30 minutes later and all the tables around us were being served their main courses but we were still waiting for our starters. By the time 1pm arrived the children in our party were closed to tears and so we asked again about our starters and were told it was being plated. Another 10 minutes go by and then the adult starter arrived and he felt uncomfortable eating his food whilst the children had nothing so the adult waited to start which meant his meal was cold by the time he could eat because it was another 15 minutes until the children's meals arrived. Clearly the children's meals should always be served first so that they don't have to watch others eat food without them. The same thing happend with the main course!

Christmas Day. Disastrous decision to only serve one course at a time to the entire restaurant, or so it seems, meant we were served well after other tables who had arrived after us. 45 minutes between courses was unacceptable. Soup was luke-warm because the serving was so small in a shallow bowl. Christmas pudding portion was minimal. Sat down for a pre-booked and paid for meal, not cheap, at 3:30, finished just after 6 p.m.

We went on Christmas Day for lunch having been before and enjoyed the experience. However this time it was not good so we won’t be going again. The service was dreadful the pub restaurant was full but the servers struggled to keep up with the tables. In previous years they were full of Christmas spirit chatty and laughing. This year they were just running from table to table with food. We were there for just over 2 and a half hours and waited an hour between finishing our starter and getting the main course. The soup I had was the smallest serving and not very hot. While we were there a little boy with a food allergy was served the wrong pudding and had a very alarming reaction. We were glad to get home and will look for somewhere else for next year

Excellent service, welcoming attitude and great atmosphere

Absolutely AWFUL, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We had done a booking and a pre order for Christmas eve. Not even greeted by, but had to approach a snooty manager who seemed annoyed at our arrival. Took us 10 minutes to get a table- this should have been a red flag for us to have left, considering we'd done a pre order. Noone came after 15 minutes, so we approached several times to ask what was going on. Manager absolutely unhelpful. Shocking service, we left after an hour as no food given.

I sat at a table and was watching the football on TV, I decided to order via the website, I tried to scan the code on the table but the lighting was poor and I couldn't scan, I went to the website and placed my order, just one drink, vodka and lemonade, after 20 minutes I was still waiting for my drink, I went to the bar and asked what was using so long, the person I spoke to asked someone else if the was an app order and they replied yes, they were making it, having been a barman and pub manager for several years I was appalled at the level of service and the length of time it took to fulfil the order. I'm probably not going back to the pub after this experience and certainly won't be recommending anyone to go there.

Visited The Preston for our Work Christmas lunch. Very welcoming atmosphere upon arrival and staff were friendly. Varied menu for all tastes and I was especially chuffed when my colleagues who are NOT Local praised the food and the atmosphere. Great sized portions for the Christmas meal and presentation of the tables upon arrival Service was well paced allowing us time for our Secret Santa, quiz and drinks. Recent refurbishment makes the place warm and cozy with new seating and the toilets are all spruced up Lovely evening with friends and well done to the team around what must be your busiest time of the year

Decent pub if you’re looking for one

Very slow kitchen and waiters didn't seem to have a clue. A big group of us went for a Sunday roast. Two of the people in the group arrived later and placed the order 30 minutes later than the group, but their food didn't arrive until more than 1 hour later, AFTER we chased the kitchen 3 times. The third time we chased, the waiter said "the kitchen was prioritising your order" when the pub was half empty. Prioritise? What does that even mean?! You started looking at the ticket and figure out which part of the dish you need to start preparing? 1 star for service because the waiters did indeed bring the food to the table. Apart from this, there was no service, we have to do everything ourselves.

The food was good and we didn't have to wait too long. Service was good ..we did have to order and pay at the bar. No waitress Service.

The décor is lovely and our food was delicious. Best of all is that the staff are amazing! There is nothing to improve upon at The Preston.

Have eaten here before, and the food has been pretty good However this time found the portion sizes to be a lot smaller than they used to be The salad especially which although fresh only consisted of a couple of lettuce leaves two slice of tomato n a few bits of cucumber The lasagne was also overcooked. Disappointing

Great atmosphere, perfect for families especially for Sunday brunch. Friendly staff always, especially Andreea who helped us today. Always on top of our requests and quick to jump and help. New refurb makes it so spacious and new items on the menu are delicious. A must try if you haven’t had the chance yet.

Pretty decent pub. Has a modern feel to it. They do serve food, although not sure what it's like as we only went for drinks. We went on a Monday night, and there was quiz night on. We managed to find a quiet area in the pub away from the speakers. There is plenty of parking available in their car park. Just don't forget to register your vehicle registration on the machine in the pub. Update: food is made freshly. Not a wide range of vegetarian or vegan meals available for choice.

Very poor Staff standing at the end of bar and never helped us to find a table for Two We ordered food nobody came during the meal to see if everything was ok so we tried to get their attention but nobody took any notice.gthe gammon was not verygoodabit burnt on one side fried eggs a disaster stuck together overcooked.my lasagne not great 2 green lettuce leaves a slice of tomatoe and a tiny bit of onion .When the girl came to collect our plates my husband showed her eggs she laughed offered to get two eggs but it was to late .Very dissapointed

Friendly reliable, great family atmosphere, big shout to Tejan and crew, we had a largish gathering, nothing was too much trouble, even she arranged candle and cake as always. Best service value for money, main thing everyone enjoyed, also compliments to the chef, great food, stayed nice and hot, they made life easier. Cant wait till renovations, will be back for xmas. The Preston pub has been my local pub for over a decade now. I have to give a massive thank you to Elly and Tigun and Kelly they are amazing no matter how busy, they alway make you feel like part of the family and professional helpful and alway go above and beyond expectations. I really hope you guys are rewarded accordingly for all your hard work. I would give 10 stars ⭐️ if I could. keep up the good work ladies

Preston pub is best pub to go for drink

Great range of beers and wine at this spacious and welcoming pub at good prices too. Changed somewhat since my last visit in 1972 but not a lot ! Open and spacious with cosy corners for those wanting a quiet spot. I work here as a barman back then when the only food available over the bar were crisps and nuts. Today different, as a range of food available served by friendly and pleasant staff. I'm told they are about to refurbish and I will want to revisit when that's completed.

Nice pub. Clean inside and toilets as well. Was not so busy, nice atmosphere outside. Had a burger , nothing special , typical pub burger but was ok. Nice drinks , martini was great. My friend spilled the drink and friendly barman gave her another for free. Will definetely go again.
