Went here for dinner. It was very quiet the waitress said its normally like that on Friday's. The food was all very nice Braked brie followed by shepherd's pie with pieces of lamb rather than mince it was very tasty followed by chocolate tart for me and ice cream for my husband. It was quite expensive but I suppose that's London prices. Would go there again if in the area

Arquitectura encantadora... decoración impresionante. . el servicio no fue muy amable, no hay servicio de mesa que necesita ofrecer en el mostrador y traer su propia comida a su mesa. Los precios son medios altos, tienen servicio de agua gratuito.

Alarms bells should have rung when the diners at the next table said the food wasn’t good at all. I ordered fish and chips which was just about passable but not worth the near £25 paid. Waiter taking my order was in no way hospitable or welcoming. He then became rude when I paid the bill which I had asked to be split between myself and a colleague. He made no attempt to hide his irritation at this request , making us wait and then flicking the credit card print out across the bar in an utterly disdainful manner. Appalling service and won’t be back .

Good food and great service. Fab beer garden with RIDE ON TRAIN. Let down by loads of uncomfortable seating in the main pub space and it’s often full of kids and dogs making a lot of noise.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere in this place! The garden area is a hidden gem — perfect for a relaxed evening. I ordered a cocktail recommended by the bartender Oleh, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. He really knows his craft and made us feel welcome from the very first minute. Will definitely come back for brunch or breakfast sometime soon!

A Hidden Gem Worth Every Bite – Five Stars for Number Twelve! From the moment you step into Number Twelve in Woburn, you know you’re in for something special. The warm, inviting atmosphere blends modern elegance with a cosy charm that makes you feel instantly welcome. The service is exceptional – friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Now, let’s talk about the food – absolutely outstanding. Every dish is a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. Whether it’s the melt-in-your-mouth lamb, the perfectly seasoned seafood, or the rich vegetarian options, each plate showcases high-quality ingredients and skilled craftsmanship. The attention to detail is remarkable. The wine list is well-curated, and the desserts are heavenly – don’t leave without trying the sticky toffee pudding or their indulgent chocolate creation. Number Twelve is more than just a restaurant – it’s an experience. Perfect for a romantic dinner, a celebration, or just treating yourself to something truly memorable. Woburn is lucky to have it. 10/10 – Can’t wait to return.

Not welcome if you just want a drink on deck. We called on a Monday lunchtime for a bottle of wine on their empty deck but were turned away by the manager who said they were only accepting reservations. The indoor section was also virtually empty. We went instead to the nearby Tattershall where the wine was cheaper, nicer and deck was much more comfortable. Shame as we had been customers of the Hispaniola for many years.

Be warned, I got drunk in here once and talked to some random people, they're now my friends and I have to go in at least once a week to talk to them. The Guinness tastes better in here than in any other pub in Chiswick or Hammersmith, but if you ask the staff they have no idea why.

We went out as a family after a long time at this particular M&C after experiencing a very bad lunch a year ago but seems like things haven’t changed! A few of us ordered the calamari for starters which was cut into such small pieces and covered in thick batter that you could not taste the calamari at all! I had the pork belly for starters which was more belly than pork, disgusting! Four of us ordered the cod for mains, this came with the plate half covered in baby potatoes and the other half in sweet potatoes with 2-3 leaves of spinach and a thumb size piece of cod which was finished in three goes!!! Just a full plate of potatoes! A few then ordered the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and we were told that it was finished and so was the meringue yet it was barely 9.30 in the evening! Ended having ice cream! A very disappointing and expensive evening resulting in us going home hungry!! Never again!

Absolutely love coming to The Tollgate — it’s got that perfect mix of a welcoming atmosphere, great drinks, and brilliant service. Mark (the manager) always goes above and beyond to make you feel at home, and the barmaid who works Saturdays is warm, attentive, and brings a really lovely energy to the place. Whether you’re popping in for a quiet pint or a weekend catch-up with friends, you’re guaranteed a great experience. Highly recommend!
