The best restaurants serving British food in London

This was my third visit and the new menu is absolutely stunning I started with warm Artisan bread with whipped butter which was delicious followed by Confied duck press with Cornichons as a starter, the main I chose was catch of the week which was River Trout served on pureed parsnip it was perfectly cooked and just melted in my mouth, although I could barely move I couldn't resist the Paris Brest caramelised pistachio mousseline dessert which was divine The service is always top class and I am always made to feel special it was a lovely lunch experience my friend and I were given a lovely guided tour of the beautiful building where the port was produced Thank you for another great meal I will definitely be returning

It has drastically changed. We are regulars however the constant change in chefs not only changed the menu but changed the expectations especially of the regular comers.

When this was previously Kerbishley and Malt I went twice and found it very average for cod and chips. when it changed owners and Became What The Fish as I had visited their premises in Ravenscourt Park twice before and found it to be average and expensive for the portion of cod and chips so I decided to visit this one in Brook Green. I had visited quite awhile ago and again found it to be average and expensive for the portion. This month Mar 2024 I visited for a take away and what a difference the portion was huge and fried to perfection. I came back a few days later and it was different staff I got home with the takeaway and found a small portion again and it not fried sufficiently batter was very pale and horrible not crispy at all and the few chips were also pale looking and not sufficiently fried, it is not worth £15.50 for a smallish fish and some chips not adequately fried enough.

Early booking made for dinner. Sat down, all 4 of us decided to have steak. When waiter came round we were told they had none of the steaks. Who not tell us when we sat down?Son wanted kidx portion of ice cream. Nope you can't have that unless you have the entire kids menu we were told. Really? You can't serve a scoop of ice cream on its own? Whether for a kid or not? Case of "computer says no" bad service, lacks attention to detail and spoilt the evening.Ealing has so much choice in restaurants. Give this one a miss.

El mercado de City / Leadenhall todavía está muy vacío después del cierre, pero decidimos comer pescado de todos modos y aventurarnos a Loch Fyne. El restaurante era todo para nosotros ya que otra mesa estaba saliendo. El servicio fue excelente, amable y atento. Las estrellas de la comida fueron la sopa de pescado y la lubina, que yo había asado a la parrilla con Pak Choi y puré de patatas. El pescado estaba súper fresco, limpio y muy "con mucha carne". Felicitaciones al Chef! ¡Una hermosa botella de Bollinger a solo 60 fue la guinda del pastel! ¡Gracias Monica, Mikaela y Michael por el gran servicio!

Great little pup. I was there on an open mic night and it was a great night.

We had the wake for my father's funeral here a few weeks ago and we really wanted to leave a review. The whole thing was excellent, from the day we first arranged it right through to the day itself. Everyone was helpful, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very polite and respectful. There was plenty of space and ample food, all of which was extremely tasty, everyone said the same. Thank you to everyone who was invovled from the Hunstmans, we felt like everything was under control, which allowed us to celebrate my father's life with friends and family. Vine a este pub con mi familia y amigos, Snena Shannon Sakshan fue muy amable con nosotros y nos ayudó amablemente a pesar de que no hablábamos el mismo idioma

The service was great and the food was good, although it was a bit expensive. The tables were weirdly low to the ground and they could use a bigger TV but overall we were very happy with the meal.

Brasserie Inglese in zona Chelsea veramente carina. Locale accogliente tipicamente inglese, personale molto attento e professionale ci ha consigliato degli ottimi piatti. Il cibo di buona qualità e carta dei vini che soddisfa qualsiasi portafoglio! Assolutamente consigliato se siete in questa zona di Londra.

We have had lunch here several times but popped in this time for a drink. The new cocktail menu was great, plenty of choice and non alcoholic options as well. They have a delightful patio and garden, nice place to sit with a drink. Staff are really good and friendly, very pleased to help.

Reservamos el Marina Room para un día de entrenamiento laboral. Fue muy fácil reservar a través de la página web. El espacio era muy flexible y pudimos establecer la habitación como queríamos. El equipo era muy servicial y nos ayudó con todo. Tuvimos brunch y todo estaba delicioso. La vista desde la habitación era increíble y era encantador pasar el día junto al río. Sin duda volveremos a utilizar The Waterside, era el espacio perfecto para nuestra reunión.
