Very nice food and a relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very friendly, overall a great experience. The restaurant was very pretty, if it is a sunny day the outside tables are fantastic.

I took my son here for a birthday lunch . We ordered our food and when the waiter brought the food out he noticed the birthday card and badge on the table . After finishing our food which was cooked beautifully we ordered dessert. Our waiter brought out a candle and we all sang happy birthday to him . It really made his day abit more special and memorable. I’m gutted I didn’t catch his name so I can give him the shout out he deserve s. Will absolutely be returning fantastic members of staff !

Amazing staff in this Wetherspoons pub, all so efficient and friendly, especially Steve who goes above and beyond his duties. He’s all over the bar, never stops. He’s a credit to Wetherspoons. We would highly recommend the Penderel’s Oak.

Organicé mi fiesta de cumpleaños número 75 en la Biblioteca. El personal en el lugar y el equipo de organización de eventos en una oficina en algún lugar eran increíbles - muy flexible, servicial y comprensivo a pesar de que me caí al menos media docena de veces para ver la decoración, audio, mesas, etc. Colgamos un gran dragón de papel de unos ganchos e hicimos nuestro el lugar. Pedimos algunos de todos sus tableros de eventos de comida, que era excelente. Su buena voluntad hizo que todo fuera un placer, incluida la propia fiesta. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente y sin duda lo volvería a utilizar

No soy un gran fan de los grandes hoteles de negocios, prefiero los pequeños hoteles boutique, pero en Park Lane lo he reconsiderado. Elijo hoteles por ubicación según la primera cita que tengo a la mañana siguiente y está perfectamente ubicado al lado de Hyde Park Corner, pero el acceso es a través de una calle lateral muy tranquila. En resumen, no te sientes en medio de una autopista, como suele ser el caso en Londres. Mi habitación era pequeña, pero muy bien diseñado y equipado, con una bonita vista del parque a pesar de que estaba en un piso bajo, creo que el 5o piso. El personal de recepción era amable y eficiente. Cometieron un error con la reserva y confirmaron solo una noche, cuando había solicitado dos, y en el registro de entrada encontraron inmediatamente una solución a pesar de que el hotel estaba lleno: asumir sus propios errores es una cualidad que pocos hoteleros tienen. Desayuno espectacular. Es bastante caro, pero al final vale la pena estar en el centro de Londres. Lo recomiendo.

Dirty and unfriendly. Staff terrible, service slow. Poor menu choices. Fresh lime drink was awful. Did not feel comfortable at all.

Esta ubicación / lugar fue seleccionado para nosotros, yo y mi socio, como un regalo utilizando una experiencia de vale. Tengo que decir, la ubicación y el lugar era simplemente impresionante. Normalmente, te encuentras con lugares que te tratan 'diferente' al presentar un comprobante de pago, ¡pero en este caso NO! Desde nuestra llegada hasta la salida, nuestra experiencia fue potenciada por un servicio excepcional (bien hecho Neena) y la comida era simplemente increíble (bien hecho Chef). No dudaríamos en volver o recomendar este lugar / establecimiento, donde los estándares superan las expectativas.

Cannot fault the staff. All so accommodating, helpful and kind. They went out of their way to give us an outside table. However, because of two huge parties (a communion and a wedding) we could not have our lunch outside as planned. A beautiful day and we had to eat inside. The manager was kind enough to ‘reserve’ our outside table while we ate. Now on to the most disappointing part of the visit, the lunch itself. Again service was exemplary. I ordered the ‘chicken and mushroom soup’ as a starter and it was lovely. My main the ‘sticky toffee pork belly’ with the Asian slaw. What a disappointment- a chunk of fat, undercooked and smothered in Hoisin sauce and soy sauce served with a few fat noodles, one piece of asparagus and some overcooked broccoli. Not a hint of ‘sticky toffee’. The slaw was basically a coleslaw minus the mayonnaise. I did ask for mayonnaise which I was given. I could not eat this dish . For dessert the ‘creme brûlée’ with strawberries. The brûlée crispy top was perfect. I give my meal 4/10 as I did not eat the main. This booking was a gift for my two friend’s birthdays. Friend 1 - no starter and ‘salmon with lyonnaise potatoes’ main- this dish was bland. Not seasoned and a general disappointment. For dessert ‘lemon tart with raspberry coulis’ the tart had a hint of lemon, with two raspberries plonked on top. No coulis to be seen. Someone write ‘happy birthday’ on the dessert in chocolate sauce. Out of 10. Birthday girl 1 gives 4/10 for her meal today. Friend 2- Butternut squash soup. Had to have much salt and pepper added, otherwise bland. Main course ‘fish and chips’ she said this was very nice but nothing special. Same dessert as above ‘lemon tart’ exactly the same outcome. Birthday girl 2 gives her meal 6/10 I do not believe I should have been charged for my uneaten pork and slaw. But hey ho I was :( As a regular to the Grimsdyke I can only put this down to the place taking on bigger parties than they can deal with, because this is very unusual. The weather was also lovely, which made everything better. Don’t be too hard on the chef. Maybe more staff for such events.

Lovely Klaudia ( who served us ) brought us genuine hospitality and grest food from chef Maxine. The team at the Ballot Box headed by the legendary Dean are a marvel. If you want a nice day , walk around Horsenden Hill and eat and drink here Ps pets are welcome
