We were a large family group and were very well looked after for our Sunday lunch. Between us we tried a wide variety of starters - all delicious - and then we all had different beef, pork and chicken mains. Service was great and there was a tipple for us all, wine drinkers and Guinness fans alike. Thanks team Elgin!

Been there on a Thursday evening, for dinner. Our friend choice. Being for the first time in London, we decided to have only British dishes, with local craft beer. The food was good, in large portions, the beer, an IPA, ok. I enjoyed the atmosphere there, I can only imagine how good can be during a sport event. A few clients were cheering for All Blacks during a World Cup rugby match. Totally recommended if in Noting Hill, I think a reservation would be a good idea.

We visited for sunday lunch, it was very quiet, the man with the pony tail was a bit grumpy, we had roast beef which was really good, the roast potatoes were not very well cooked and quite pale land the Cauliflower cheese tasted strange, the scottish lady was nice and friendly, not sure I would visit again

Quick stop just for a drink. Very happy to find a pub with many non-alcoholic options in their menu. It is a big pub, with a dinning area indoors, nice and spacious outside area. Looks overall very nice. They even have a small area for kids to play, what I got impressed. Beautiful vitrais.

This was my first time visiting and The Elgin didn’t disappoint! My friends and had a great time. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We were served by a young guy called Nick who was full of good jokes and had us all in a great mood from the get go. Definitely will be back again!

After a long day of taking in the sights of portobello road we stumbled into the Elgin to refresh ourselves with a nice cold pint of the black stuff. We were charmed by this classic pub dripping in original futures. We were greeted at the bar by a very lovely chap named Charles who quickly served us our drinks and gave great advise on the more fruity drinks for the ladies. Would definitely visit again.

Fantastic recommendation, this is a quality wee West London pub. Visited here recently while on business, It was recommended by friends who live close by. Serves a good pint, decent food and delivered really attentive service. The decor is pretty cool, the place is clean and staff really friendly. I love the Elgin, it’s a home from home. Anyone who lives in NH knows the bubble of NH and the Elgin is a community within itself. I went with my boyfriend on a date night and we got to know Charles (who was on the bar) really well, he kept the cocktails flowing all night! - Makes a mean Mojito. Working in hospitality myself I know it’s the staff who make a place, and this has it down to a T. So thanks Charles, and see ya soon The Elgin!

We went for a Sunday Roast. It was the smallest portions I've ever seen The ''roast potatoes'' were in fact boiled potatoes that had been deep fried. Hardly any vegetables.

Booked a table for this last Sunday, the roast chicken was fantastic, and a nice vibrant atmosphere, highly recommend it!

Really great pub. Terrific atmosphere and decor. Staff are amazing, so friendly and welcoming. Food was soooo good. The chicken wings are incredible with the best dipping sauce. We really enjoyed our time here. Would highly recommend.

I’ve eaten here on quite a few occasions and the food was delicious, as ever. I appreciate they comfortable seating with a decent space between tables and the attentive, pleasant staff. The one thing that marred the visit this time though was the very loud music (presumably from a playlist of some kind) although this was turned down somewhat when we asked.

Notting Hill has loads of great spots to eat and drink, but this place is by far my favourite! The atmosphere is classy yet laid back, the dining area, "gin parlour" and bar area are great for group outings, dates, or families. The best part - the Elgin is dog friendly!!The bartenders and servers are always super friendly and helpful. I've read negative reviews on trip adviser about the service and I honestly have never seen anything other than fast, top-notch, and attentive service. This is one of the reasons I love this place!Lastly, the food is always good and they have daily specials that never disappoint! My favourite meals are the trout dish and the turkey Sunday roast.If you want to have a great meal and great service in a comfortable environment I highly recommend the Elgin!

I visited on a Sunday a few weeks ago about 1.30 to 1.45 pm and we were about to go up the stairs into the back room when we were asked by a gentleman behind the bar whether we wanted to eat. We said yes, and we would be meeting another friend. He told us that there were no tables and were 'full.'

I went in to watch the football it was on with no volume and the staff refused to turn it up an there was most of the customers at the bar were watching it I also found the staff rude an unwelcoming and the chef came out of the kitchen in his whites heavaly soiled an helps himself to Guinness would you want someone that was drinking cooking your food

Nadine was lovely, but the other bartender ( quite short with black hair ) on the night was so so rude, no sense of customer service. Was horrible when it came to us leaving, kicked us out before the time that we rented the place for was up and shouted 'get out' multiple times in a threatening manor even though we were already leaving. Overall not a nice person.

We hired out the upstairs for our Engagement drinks. Nothing was too big of an ask from the team before and during the event. We and all our friends and family enjoyed the lovely food!! My only wish was that we could gave partied on for longer!!! Thank you to the Elgin for making our engagement drinks a memorable one .

This is a very nicely modernised pub which has nevertheless kept a lot of the original features. Lunchtime its quiet enough to find a comfortable seat and enjoy a well kept pint in convivial surroundings. Staff are helpful and friendly and you are close enough to shop on Portobello Red but far enough from the madness.

My friends and I spent Sunday afternoon here and overall the pub is pleasant. However, we ordered the sweet potato bhajis and were shocked with the portion size. For £6.50 we received 3 tiny “bhajis” which didn’t even seem to include any sweet potato and were burnt. My friend was also unhappy with the roast. We’d recommend for a drink if you in the local area but certainly not food.

This is the first time I have visited Ladbroke Grove and had lunch at The Elgin before visiting The Brands Museum. I had booked in advance and the staff were expecting us on arival. The pub has a great rustic feel and there was a separate large dining area. Had fish and chips from the menu which was lovely and fresh. Would definitely recommend. They are advertising for Christmas at the moment and it would be a great place to have a party.

Seven of of us booked for a works lunch on a Tuesday. A few had been before but this was my first visit.The interior is beautiful, clean, traditional and yet trendy. The menu and food catered for both meat eaters and vegetarians. £174 for mains and 3 bottles of wine meant this venue is realistically priced (especially given the location). The staff were friendly, attentive and the food portions large.

We went here to watch the football on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The bar staff were chatty and the decor was lovely.

Visited with my (adult) children for Sunday lunch. A very warm welcome. We had fortunately reserved a table as it got very busy. Whilst we didn’t have starters, we chose the roast lamb, roast chicken and the vegetarian wellington. Our server recommended the cauliflower cheese as a side portion and we readily agreed. He then asked if we wanted 2 portions as there were 3 of us. So I then piped up “no thank you as he’s vegan” referring to my son. But he’d ordered the lamb!! I meant to say he’s allergic to dairy but in so many establishments we’ve got used to saying he’s vegan. Poor man I confused him completely!! The chef personally served the meals as he wanted to meet the vegan who ate lamb!! It became the running joke throughout our meal. However I’m very pleased to report that all the dishes were very tasty. The vegetables were beautifully cooked and everything was beautifully presented. My son and I couldn’t manage a dessert but my daughter had a lovely banoffee pie. It was a lovely atmosphere in the pub and all the staff were very welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Visiting from San Francisco and stayed in Nottinghill. The Elgin was out go to chill out space to unwind from the walking and touring of London. Good drinks, food, and super friendly staff. Hint: there’s a tiny bar past the main bar that’s quiet.

My mom and I are vegetarians and were initially wary of walking into a pub in London, but the menu posted outside offered multiple vegetarian options. We immediately stepped inside and found ourselves a cozy corner inside. Our server was very attentive, bringing me the biggest Pimm's cup I have ever had. She answered the few questions we had; she was also manning the entire back room without any flaws.

Our party of 5 visited on a Wednesday evening for food and drinks in the restaurant section. Initially, the environment was good, and quiet. The lady who helped take our order was pleasant.

Just popped in this evening with a friend to have a quiet drink. Ordered two beers and paid with a card. I asked the guy serving us for a receipt, but wasn't sure if he heard me as he went off to serve another customer without acknowledging my request. So, as I did the old 'er, excuse me, but could I have a receipt' thing, he came back with a rather snotty 'I'm doin' it' kind of thing... grabbing a till receipt and flinging it in my direction. Jeez... one goes somewhere for a quiet drink to be greeted with some bullsh**t attitude. No excuse... the place wasn't even busy (not that that is an excuse). Do not go here for a friendly experience... it will not happen.

We got to Kensington early after along drive & wanted something to eat so we stumbled across this place. It a lovely old boozer that serves great food.

Great location, lots of craft beers. Good food. This is an old school pub with a modern ambience. I stopped in every day for a break and loved every visit.

Good service from happy staff. The pub grub is sausages and mash, burgers, fish and chips will make any teenager happy! Nice surroundings and pleasant outside for a gin and tonic!
