Good Intent in Havering

After a really disappointing meal earlier in the week at Marco Pierre white's Italian in London we decided to eat out at a local pub we normally go to. Well, as usual can't fault it, from lovely attentive staff, great service and a speedy hot meal. The bacon and cheese burger was huge and so tasty in comparison to Marcos tiddly charcoaled burger!...and a fraction of the cost.win win. Thanks G I.

Food was brilliant. Staff were wonderful. Drinks were wonderful and reasonably priced. We come every Sunday. Would recommend coming down.

This pub had so much potential but it’s has been a complete mess the last 3 times I’ve been in here. I came in here with family on the night the Euros started. The place was such a mess the bar was absolutely packed with dirty glasses, 5 deep and any tables that wasn’t being used was also full of them. There was only 2 bar staff on which seemed strange for a Friday night when they’re showing the football Took ages to get a drink but as we was all meeting here we had no option other than to stay There was 5 of us and we all picked what we wanted off the menu. I queue up for 10 mins to be served only to be told “oh we’re not using that menu while the footballs on we’re using this menu” which was the size of a postcard and consisted of 6 different ways to do wings (basically anything that could be cooked quickly )The guy behind me asked why the Menus were out on tables if they wasn’t being used ? And was told “we can’t do food off of that menu when the footballs on cause we made a mistake with the Rota’s and there’s not enough staff on” We ordered loads of wings to our table as it was now 8pm and we had 1 other family member on their way. Every time we wanted a drink the wait was long and we had to take the glasses on the table back up as they had no clean glasses -the whole place was just a shambles I decided to give it another chance last Friday and met 3 of my friends from work in there Once again I was greeted by tables and tables of dirty glasses ? I don’t know if the dishwasher is broken but they need to either get it fixed or just pay someone to wash the glasses -it’s not rocket science. We went and got a table while my friend went and ordered she came back and said “there’s no food they haven’t had everything delivered so other than wings they have no food “ This pub has such potential but they seem to only cater for the 20 somethings that come in after work and get plastered Why they advertise a food menu is beyond me . I’d love to know who does the reviews On here as the last 3 times I’ve been in here everyone is moaning and saying how badly organised it is in there .It’s a shame as I went in there several times last summer and food was lovely and it was a clean and welcoming space to meet friends and family but last 3 times it’s just a mess On Friday we left after one drink and made our way 4 more stops on the bus to The railway Tavern in Hornchurch -wow what a difference !! 5 people behind the bar and tables you could actually sit down at because they wasn’t being used to store dirty glasses We’ve already agreed to meet this Friday at The Railway and won’t be returning to the GI -the place is a shambles and a mess

Great service as per usual , we went for lunch , good food , good portions Lisa was very accommodating!!! Lovely garden , pur dog loves it too !!!!

For once - a pub the manages the balance of foodies and traditional goers. Never out of stock - great range of drinks and food and excellent staff who are not only super-friendly but also speedy and attentive. Proper pub - well run with plenty of outdoor space and sport on tvs. Cant beat it!

Lovely pub, came with friends for drinks and good value for money. They do a cocktail deal on the weekends so had the blue lagoon

This was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner, but the place is so in need of refurbishing, it is not the place I want to eat again, flies flying around, put me right off. I wanted to leave straight away but hubby said let’s give it a chance. We did and wished we’d left, the scampi was rock hard and cut my gums, and the chips were so dry. The salad was just lettuce and a couple of bits of cucumber oh and a tomato. The food was not appetising to look at. We won’t be going back, and leaning on a sticky table was awful. The menus are stained, stains on walls and wall paper coming off. The only good thing was the service.

I found the staff very friendly and efficient, they made me feel very welcome, I am planning to go back with friends for a meal, excellent service, the care my husband and I received was amazing.

Went there and all Greene King are worried about is the app. What the management should be looking at is the standard of cleanliness as the men’s toilets are dirty and the place is very dusty

My wife and I went to this restaurant for lunch, I went to the pay point ordered our steak, and asked for a coffee only to be told I could have it black, but not a white coffee as they didn’t have any milk.When the steak was brought to the table we asked for some tomato ketchup, but they didn’t have any.I understand that during this pandemic some items are not available, like they didn’t have any rib-eye steak or any gammon, but milk and ketchup are a basic necessity.

Visited the pub today 20th August, great atmosphere, food was lovely, social distance rules explained felt very safe. Bar Staff were very friendly, made me feel very at ease.. would definitely be visiting again. Great pub with great food.

Wife pre booked table. Dining area very well laid out and instructions were clear. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food came quickly and was lovely. Well done all round.

Booked a table in advance for a dinner. Normal dinner time, me and my family including children. They had space so we completed the booking in advance, giving all my details. Fair enough so far, covid means thing are a bit different so we get on with it. We get ready and rock up at the correct time. Wait 5 minutes for the lady on the door to finish her conversation. No biggie, its a pub not the ritz, its supposed to be sociable.As we walk she tells us they are busy, we have booked for food and drinks, the food will take about an hour. Again, no biggie, we can have a drink whilst we are waiting and maybe they might be a bit quicker. In the time it takes us to sit down (less than 30 seconds) the wait for food has become 2 hours. Ergh, not ideal but we dont have much choice, okay then. Instantly we are then told thats not OK cos they kick kids out of the pub by 9pm and the food isn't gonna be ready until well past then. FFS! So you've had my details, email, name, phone number etc but you havent been bothered to let us know you cant cope? Why not?We cant go anywhere else, they are all booked up on the eat out to help scheme.no apology, nothing.So we wasted our time coming here and also cant go anywhere else. Outstanding.So now I am gonna book a bunch reservations and deliberately no show. Shame. No help for you, learn customer service.

Me and my friend haven’t been out since lock down so decided to come to our local pub normally friendly. Booked a table at 7 for tonight and was told the table was running behind and was told food will be a hour at first . Finally after we was allowed to sit we thought we would order our drink first and then decide what we wanted to eat. A very rude waitress brought our drink over and said can’t order food kitchen is shut not even a sorry. Very poor tonight we won’t be returning any time soon, Such a shame as it’s my local normally. Don’t say there is a table for food when we had already booked to then be told we can’t eat the kitchen is shut. we went to eat somewhere else and won’t be returning for a very long time if we ever come back at all which will not be very likely after we were treated tonight!!!!!

Will we be returning to the Good Intent , anytime soon? We don’t think so, such a shame as it’s our local pub. Decided to pay an impromptu visit on Thursday , 30th July, for a bite to eat. Ordered Chick’n Mix Challenge for myself and my husband to share, cost £13.29. Said order was delivered within 15 minutes, waitress placed order on the table, never informed us that certain items were unavailable. No chicken wings, no chicken nuggets and no coleslaw, plus some of the food was barely warm. When I complained, was told that substitutions were given in place of what was on the menu, two substitutions actually as there seemed to be some discussion about the missing coleslaw, which turned up five minutes later. The only other response was “can I order you another one” as I had said food was cold. Think your member of staff was missing the point here. How can you change what’s on the menu without informing the customer. It would be like ordering steak and chips but being served sausage and mash as a substitute as steak was off the menu. RIDICULOUS!!! Don’t think it’s too much to expect when placing an order, to be told that certain items are unavailable, thereby allowing me, the customer, the option of choosing something else from the menu. It’s not Rocket Science. Customer service was shambolic.

It’s good to see a company taking the COVID regulations seriously, more so to keep the staff as well as us, being customers safe. I went for lunch with my boyfriend on Tuesday. We was greeted by a lovely young girl and a sanitising station followed by a walk around and told how things have changed since lockdown. It may seem a bit much and over the top to some people, But I found it very comforting. We ordered the chick’n’mix challenge to share, the size was more than expected which is always good right? Everything was piping hot and good quality for money to say the least. I would highly recommend this pub especially if your still being slightly cautious of going out as they have everything in place to make you as comfortable as they possibly can. I hope all the staff know what a good job they’re doing, and we will definitely be back with friends.

Post covid-19 nightmare Greeted by sheep that barked at you with rules and regulations , told to clean hands and told how toOpen and close doors , had to follow a one way system and wernt offered table service - when we tried to ask a question, i was talked over before i could finishMenus overcomplicated and the prices missing on most of the foods offered Pretty much a take it or leave it attitude So all 7 of us left and went to Sortie in Hornchurch , atmosphere brilliant and the staff were friendly and funny even wearing the masks Far better experience and the quality of food im sure would have been better based on our experience Greenking your offering a terrible experience and have lost our business for good

I stopped by my old town After a long drive with the intention of getting some lunch, this was one of a handful of pubs I've visited post lockdown. On arrival you are told that you can only now enter from the elevated fire exit instead of the traditional front door as some poorly thought out one way system was in operation. I was asked to sanitise my hands, I politely declined the offer as I don't want my skin absorbing toxic ethanol. I then had to give contact details which I am uneasy with since we are now being asked to disclose private mobile phone numbers, I think I got one or two digits wrong . I was then shown to a table they had already allocated to me, and given a disposable paper menu with a much reduced offering. I then had to place my food and drink order at the bar and they fetch everything to the table. From the cash till to my table I had to do a half circuit of the pub as there were one way arrows everywhere. Timing of the food order was quite good however. It was Then explained to me that if I wanted to visit the boys room I would have to nudge the vacant/ engaged sign on the door with my elbow so as to avoid hand contact. (with every customer constantly rubbing ethanol into their hands what's the problem ? I ate my food and promptly left, but while eating a rather over zealous and rather excitable staff member (possibly manager) was constantly booking customers in as if it were their first day at school. Each one was shown the table, the till, and how to work the toilet, it felt to me totally patronising and very unpleasant. I counted roughly around 10 customers at lunchtime and it's easy to see why. A similar theme is taking place in many of greene king establishments and I feel that they have totally ruined what once was a reasonably good experience totally based on this covid nonsense which is being massively overplayed. I doubt that I would ever return, not unless things change drastically.

The good intent lives up to its name. Went there with husband and two children plus muddy dog for Sunday lunch. Lots of other folk with dogs too. Great Sunday lunch, well worth the wait and they warn you that there is a wait of up to 45m for food but just order starters and large glass of wine and all is well. The roast is worth it! Puds are good too. Will be back soon.

This was my first time at eating at the The Good Intent. I booked a table for a Sunday lunchtime for 11 people over the phone and the lady who I spoke to was very helpful and friendly. She even made sure we sat in a quieter part of the pub as we had small children with us as she didn't know how loud the pub would get, if there was a game on TV. I found this very considerate. On arrival we managed to booked our food and drinks very quickly and it was brought to our table at a reasonable time (bearing in mind there were 11 meals to cook). The portion size was very good and quality was also good. A few of the guys tried the challenge meals and they all looked very good. We all commented that the rib challenge looked good and there was plenty on meat on the ribs. We all expected the ribs to be small with not much on the bone. We all had dessert and again the proton sizes were very good. Overall the food and atmosphere was very good. The staff were helpful and friendly. This was my first visit but we plan on visiting again.

Great place built on the area of the Old WWII RAF Hornchurch air field and within the pub / resaurant to recognise this and the brave pilots that flew from here. We always ask for a table up on raised area as it is away from TV's and is a bit quieter.

As always we got friendly and Helpful staff and the food was excellent. I couldn't manage to take all our drinks to the table in ome go so one of the bar staff carried one for me.

Family Meal we use this GI location often and this was for a family Sunday Lunch with my Son's and Grandchildren

Went here with my friend for lunch and we opted to order the hotdog challenge supposed to be for 1 between us... well we ate till we was going to pop and we still never finish the meal.Lovely staff, relaxed atmosphere and although a weekday and lunchtime wasn’t too busy.

Went to the pub last night for dinner and this was my 1st time at this pub and a 'Flaming Grill'. Came in found and seat and ordered food and drink without any issues. lovely atmosphere with friendly staff.Order food (the Challange Meals) this was a mistake on out parts as we didnt realise the sze of the meals... But spoke to a kind member of staff who boxed up what we couldnt eat to bring home.

Booked a table for 3pm on Sunday. Ordered 2 roast beef dinners and was informed of long wait as they had had a few big tables in. We had no choice but to wait as we had booked our table and probably wouldn't of been able to get into anywhere else without also having to wait. We waited nearly an hour for food which is unacceptable.You know how many people have booked and should make sure you have adequate staff to cope. Having said this the food was nice and staff are always friendly but on this occasion not as good as usual.

Extremely rude and miserable lady at the bar that took our order order, 2 out of 4 of the meals came out incorrectly. When we sent one of the dishes back another lady (I think the manage) came over to our table and implied we were wrong and the table still had empty glasses and bottles on it when we arrived and didn't get taken away so we ended up putting them on a ledge.Overall a terrible experience and won't be returning....EVER!

An hour and a half wait for food. We booked a table for 8 people at 3:30pm and was only told at ordering about the wait.

There are so many better places to eat in Hornchurch, don’t even waste your time and money! Certainly not family friendly as advertised on their website which also shouldn’t be trusted as it’s really inaccurate. There are plenty of better places just around the corner that actually want your business!

Enjoyed a family meal. Staff very friendly and helpful. Prices reasonable. Spacious restaurant. Plenty of car parking. Disabled friendly. Overall a fabulous experience. Suitable for young children. Would definitely recommend.

Visited here with my family for Dinner. At first there was no table available for my party of ten but the staff went out of there way to accommodate us by moving tables about. Great choice on both main and kids menu great value for money. Have just moved to the area and will definitely be returning to this place great relaxed atmosphere and especially friendly staff.

Ordered some cheesey garlic bread which was soft, warm and looked like it had been used to mop the floor.

I always get frustrated when restaurants take your money up front and then decide they can serve you any thing they like .

Good food reasonably priced, always good value for money with friendly staff. Garden area if the weather permits.

We arrived and were greeted by a lovely lady who dealt with our booking and took our order. We could run a tab or pay immediately whichever suited. When our dinner arrived it looked very nice and it was, broccoli was very hard (had to ask for steak knife to cut it) everything else, especially the beef was lovely. Very good value and nice friendly atmosphere. I’ve lived in Hornchurch all my life and never been in this pub, but my first visit won’t be my last!

The food was o.k. the menus were filthy 4 menus had to be prized apart so we could read them I can't understand why the staff can't wipe them over with a damp clothe it's not very nice touching dirty menus when your going to be eating . Also we were going to sit out side but changed our minds when we saw the state of the wooden tables and seats they were filthy and the wood was rotten

The food was really nice with alot of choice on the menu and for children too.it was good value and I was really impressed with the different varieties of drinks ,esp cocktails.

Took the whole family there tonight as the last time we went the food was wonderful. Wow! What a mistake, I've never had worse service. The staff were miserable, very rude and unhelpful. Food came out at different times. Orders came out wrong and made out to be our fault when we had the slip of what we had ordered. We ordered chicken strips and chips and asked for all sauces and salsa to be on the side when it came out the salsa was on it. When we asked about it, we were told a new dish would be made but when it was returned you could see half the chicken strips were taken out that had the salsa on it and the rest was picked off (what if we were allergic?). At the end of the meal when asked for a takeaway container we were given a dirty, oily what looked like an old ice cream container to put our take away in. Needless to say I was very embarrassed to have suggested this place for a family night out. Won't be back.

Went here for a roast instead of Willow Farm Table Table today as Willow seems to have gone down the pan over the past few weeks, especially today with the attitude, Clare & the girls at Good Intent more smiley, great visit the food was the best today in a long time, what’s changed? keep it like that.

I've been to this flaming grill many times and the food is very good what let's it down is the sticky tables and menus we tried three tables and all were the same when you pull out a menu they are all stuck together not pleasant the lady who runs the good intent is very nice but the young girls serving the food are very abrupt

Having only visited once since the refurb, but was greeted with the same pleasant, warm young lady from my previous time here.

Hi I came along with my very elderly father this lunch time, thank you so much for making us so welcome. My father suffers from dementia and is sometimes awkward when in unfamiliar places, We both had a lovely lunch together the food was delicious and you all went over and above in understanding our requirements even serving my dad s food on a 'normal' plate something which seems so simple but makes so much difference. Thank you once again for making our time together special.

Family of 5 with small children and we all ate and all enjoyed our food. Specifically the burgers. Reasonably priced and will return again. Oh but I didn't like the ribs

Excellent 5* quality food, better than most restaurants. Great atmosphere with a large beer garden for the summer months. The only improvement needed would be table service on the restaurant side. Ordering food and drinks at the bar is not ideal as someone has to leave the table mid conversation

Great pub restaurant. Theres a very large menu including food challenges. Extremely good value. We were looked after by Jess who is brilliant. We have been there twice recently, once when it was very busy and more recently at a much quieter time. Shelly and Shelle were the ladies behind the bar and are very friendly whilst also extremely professional. The lager is cold fresh and very refreshing, my 16 yr old son drank coke and 19 year old drank lemonade, both are fussy with pump soft drinks and both were very happy here. I will be coming back very often, I really cant find any fault at all. Thanks everybody especially Jess

We have a family reunion at this pub every 4-6 weeks involving up to 20 or more people. The food is is always served quickly and is always tasty and good portions. There is one member of staff in particular who always has a smile on her face and is always polite, friendly and helpful. Her name is Jess and she goes out of her way to look after her customers.

Went there recently for a drink, lovely pub with a big outdoor space especially great in the nice weather.

Food was very good.... A* to the kitchen, served by Jessica. Jessica went out of her way all evening to assist us. She did a fantastic job and we will all defiantly return as the service was great!!

I came here a week ago, when it was very sunny and the weather was warm, although the pub was busy and there was a bit of a wait on food we still got served and our food came out in a reasonable time, and was tasty! I would deffo recommend the chicken wings, they’re to die for! Drinks were cheap which meant they kept coming! Had a lovely day out with friends in the garden, and will deffo be back!! :)

Decent pub grub - caters for all sorts. There's a large car park and bus stops nearby. It's a safe decent local pub that is asset to the area.

Tried the Big Daddy Burger. Wow absolutely massive.

I use to be in here a lot but the last couple of times we’ve been it’s been really bad

We went onto the pubs website which indicated The Good Intent was open but stated ‘not busy’ - that was at 11:40am on a Sunday. So didn’t book and drove there straight away - it was freezing waiting the 20 mins or so for it to open - please change the web information for opening times on Sunday. We found an unreserved table and were the first to order. Two main meals for £10 seemed very good value - we kicked off with a starter “breaded mushrooms” which were still frozen! The chocolate fudge cake with chocolate sauce was the best bit - oh the cappuccino was great & the restaurant was very cosy. I think it would be a totally different experience on a hot Summer’s day - the frozen breaded could be quite appealing then, lol!

The Good Intent successfully manages to combine being a great locals bar and restaurant too. Friendly staff ... the abbots ale is a magnificent example of its kind ! Great history of the local famous war time airfield on the walls.

Food was Terrible cold chips cold mac and cheese was sent back and put in the microwave , rib-eye steak was the worst steak I’ve ever eaten had 2 mouthfuls and could eat any more and I’ve eaten a lot of steak. Flys flying all round the pub while you are eating not good will not be returning to this establishment .

Lovely Sunday Beef roast with the family , Meal served within 15 Minutes . I would strongly recomend this place . Staff are very polite and helpful . We really enjoyed the family environment at this venue.

Had a great Xmas dinner, looked after as always by the team, Maisy did a great job looking after us, very helpful & she works very hard, like the rest of the team.

Had a meal here last night . Steak and chips, cooked exactly how I like it , and nice and hot . Staff were friendly and polite and smiling .. I'm new to the area so I thought I'd give the surrounding pubs a try .. not disappointed and will be back very soon .

Unfortunately after tonight won't be returning!! We as a family use the good intent fairly regularly as it's a great place and food is great! So gone there tonight for my daughter's 2nd birthday only for my wife to be refused being served food because according to certain bar staff i started a fight in there one night a couple of weeks back?? Well this is far from the truth and totally ruined my daughter's day!! Even after explaining that there's been some sort of mix up i still had other staff members walking round looking at me to see if they were right! So well done for cocking up our evening all concerned!

Went for lunch was not overly hungry so went for a lighter bite. The food was really tasty and well priced although the pub wasn’t full it was busy. The bar was also being run by the waitresses which made it a bit chaotic at times but we got served ok and staff very friendly.

A friendly welcome every time and they are improving the outdoor eating areas too so you can enjoy the best of the summer weather by eating outside.

Very busy pub. Food was ok, wasn’t the best. Where we was sitting there were ants and the place was very hot, too hot to be honest. The dinner itself was ok. My boyfriend was highly disappointed because he is under 21 so he wasn’t able to drink which made him annoyed.

8oz Rump Steak with all the trimmings. Chips, Mushrooms, Peas, Tomato, Onions all sizzling on a hot skillet served to the table. Washed down with a Fosters.

It was ok, food took a long time to come out & I didn't receive my sauce which I had paid for, did ask & they brought it out. Food was hot, but not the best.

I am so angry and disappointed I just had to write a review i chose the good intent Hornchurch as a celebration for my daughter I arrived first sat in the garden waited for my daughter son in law and granddaughter to arrive we went in and looked at menus and my son in law went to the bar to order our food he stood there very patiently whilst the manager don’t know her name and a young girl kept passing him by laughing and at one point the manager says to the young girl you’re terrible you are still serving everyone else but my son in law and yet still he waited patiently, the final straw was when another man walked up to the bar and they went to serve him and he said no he was before me (my son in law that is) and yet still they continued to serve the other man both clearly not wanting to serve my son in law there can be no other reason other than his colour which angers me beyond belief how can they be so ignorant as you can imagine we left and I will not let this rest until they are both sacked I’m going make it my business that they are racism cannot be tolerated in any shape or form in my eyes if you’ve brown eyes you’re not treated differently so why do they think it acceptable to treat someone differently because someone has darker skin

The food and service has been a lot better on our last few visits, compared to 4 to 5 months ago. The food has been better quality, served on hot plates and glad to see that the sizzling hot serving dish has made a comeback. The service is improved and we are lucky to have this pub within a mile from home.

Buy one get one free for all burgers on a Thursday.the burgers really are the nuts.cooked to perfection and great value for money.

Decided on an improtu visit .. haven't been since the refurb

Fancied a bit of pub grub so came here with my boyfriend. Firstly the menu is huge there is absolutely something for everyone, really reasonable too. Great drinks offers & cocktails aswell. We ordered and found the staff really friendly and helpful. The food came down and afterwards we both said to each other that this was way better than any other pub grub we’ve had, in fact better than some restaurants I’ve been to as of late!! One of our go-to’s now for a catch up & drinks with friends or a bit of food!

Great all round pub, friendly atmosphere. Staff are always very welcoming and helpful. Tried out the new vegan menu, all questions answered and the food was nice. Very unusual to find a vegan 3 course menu, I’ll definitely recommend it.

Popped in for an afternoon drink, not very busy, short staffed but no excuse for rudeness, glasses to warm therefore beer FLAT, will not be revisiting, very disappointed.

We went out on a family meal on 5 May 2018 my brother and sister who were visiting from Milton keynes I can recommend the food all 4 meals were excellent

One of those places that interior could do with refreshing but you really can’t go wrong here. Good food(typical pub menu), beers, ales and spirits. Reasonably priced. Overall good experience.

I often come here on Saturday nights ad the odd day with my kids. Staff are so Lovely, especially Claire the landlady!

Me and my family ate at the good intent this evening. We found it very accommodating and was given table service by our waitress Sarah who was very pleasant and helpful. We really enjoyed our food and we didn’t wait long for it either. All the bar staff was very friendly too. We will most definitely visit again very soon.

My family and I visited the 'GI' yesterday for my wife's birthday celebration. The Food, Ambience, Staff (especially Nicola our waitress) infact everything was excellent.First Class. Another great feature, that I was not aware of, is that on Mondays and Tuesdays there is a 'Steak Deal' offer which is fantastic. The food was hot, good and served quickly although we were a party of nine persons. Also much to my surprised the menu is very comprehensive and varied, not just steaks & chicken. Went for dinner last night, the food was lovely as well as the service. Stayed for the entertainment which was a good night. Bar staff always quick and friendly.

It was getting late and me and my mates needed something to eat so we thought we’d drop in and have a meal as we went past, the bar service was quick and the bar tender had great knowledge on lagers and cocktails, we found a nice little table in the upstairs lounge and ordered at the bar, the food came much quicker than we expected and tasted amazing it was served presentably and the service was even quicker once we had finished the plates were cleared and we were offered desserts, we would definitely come back again for more, nice and cheap too.

I visited the Good Intent last wednesday with some friends. Our waitress was Jessica. What a lovely girl. She served us at the bar and brought our food out.

Went into the good Intent with family for dinner, not my usual choice of restaurant but went for it anyway and I wasn’t disappointed! From the service at the bar to the floor staff I was made to feel welcome and appreciated.

Me and my partner recently visited on a Saturday evening. We both ate and the food was fantastic, it was hot, the food was tasty and didn’t take long to come out either so absolutely no complaints there. The staff were all very friendly and polite. It didn’t take us long to get our drinks or order. Would come back any time. It was a lovely evening all in all with the food, staff and music. All I can say is I would 100% recommend this pub for its food and atmosphere.

Visit regularly for lunch with my Nan. They always cater for her and are very friendly. My Nan loves coming here for lunch. The new decor is lovely too.

I came down to the good intent to have a drink before I headed home and the staff are all so friendly and welcoming something of which you don't really see in a lot of other places. They try and fill my glass up before I've even finished sometimes. The service is great. Brogan particularly stood out as she seemed to really pay an interest when I was telling her about my day. Even the other customers are down to earth and greet me now and then. Great place. I'm coming again.

We have visited here on approximately 3 occasions and each time the meal that was ordered did not come with either mushrooms or onions which was stated to accompany the meal. When we queried each time the excuse was that they had run out. Surely they must know this when we put in our order and the customer should be informed.

Been here a couple of times in the past month as it’s our new local, food is good quality and big portions. Staff are all very friendly, and the decor inside is nice. Went up on Friday night with 4 friends for food and drinks - food was good as always but we only stayed for a couple of drinks as service at the bar was incredibly slow (nearly half an hour). No fault at all of staff who were working as hard as possible, and were also hampered by what appeared to be a lack of glasses at 7pm! Would think twice about going back on a Friday/Saturday night
