The staff was very helpful, polite and attentive. It was my first time actually trying fish and chips and it didn’t disappoint. Ordered cod and chips and plaice and chips. With a side of coleslaw.

Great place to go with friends and family. Quality of food and their customer service is awesome.

Estábamos tan ansiosos de visitar este lugar de nuevo y tener el mejor pescado y patatas fritas en Londres! Nuestra última visita en 2015, sólo para encontrar el lugar está cerrado y ahora hay un restaurante de comida a la parrilla! No es el mismo como el pescado y patatas fritas! Lo peor es todo en internet es todavía bajo el pescado y patatas fritas en Londres incluso el número de teléfono. En realidad nos llamaron y nos dijeron que sí sólo se abren para encontrar se han acabado y es gente diferente: (

Fuimos a tomar algo después de cenar, había mucho follón como pub inglés que se digne y ni nos limpiaron la mesa. Eso para tomarte un vino/birra y ya está.

Pasamos la mañana en los mercados de Portobello en la lluvia y este lugar fue la mejor parada para comer. Servicio super rápido el pescado era precioso y muy barato. Las mesas están empaquetados en más de 3 niveles, pero vale la pena el apretado. Mejor final para mañana en los mercados.

Il y a eu un changement de propriétaire et le restaurant n'est plus le même. Le propriétaire actuelle est désagréable et essaye de mettre le plus de personne dans la pièce qui sert de restaurant sans se soucier du nombre de chaise ou de table. Cependant le poisson est bon par contre les frites réchauffer au moins 2 fois. Le lieu n'est pas très propre

I had been in London with my family and it was a nice stop at covent garden for fish and chips so if anybody goes londan definitly need to visit here

My 86 year old Mother and I chose to eat here on a Saturday. Whilst the outside of the shop is not attractive, we were treated courteously by the staff, and were guided to the upstairs restaurant. This is very plain, with Formica topped tables very much akin to the image of an early 1960s cafe. The food was marvellous. Big portions, fresh, and well cooked. Well done. Would recommend.

We went at the restaurant on friday night. It was great because the restaurant close late. The welcome was very warm, the staff was nice, the place was typical of the England. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as service, it wasn't transcendent.Finally, we found it was good value for money.

My nephew and I had dinner here prior to going to the theatre and it was both very tasty, fresh and plentiful. We would recommend Dheens to anyone. The meal deals were very good for those on a tight budget.

Perhaps the best fish and chips ever! I visit London twice each year from the states and have eaten fish and chips all over London. Visited every recommended chippie shop in Tourist guides, and this is the place for me. Friendly service and good, hot, fresh food at a reasonable price. My go to spot.

friendly & cheerful staff, the fish & chips weren't exactly the best I've ever had. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad per se, it's hot & straight out of the pan but the fish was a bit too soggy for my taste or perhaps that's just me though. Lovely portion though.

Siamo venuti in questo locale appositamente su consiglio di amici . Si trova in una via poco frequentata ma è conosciuto da tutti per l'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo . Ci siamo accomodati nella saletta al primo piano gustandoci il famoso piatto che da il nome al locale. Le porzioni sono generose e il cibo è gustoso con pasta morbida anche se per i miei gusto è risultato un poco troppo unto di olio . I dined at Dheens F & C's for lunch and enjoyed the food and very friendly, efficient and helpful service. They were even able to cater for my gluten intolerance! I will definitely be back!

met our friends for lunch where we ordered individual dishes. as awesome as it was, we couldn't finish as the portion was big! so the second time we went, we ordered 2 large portions of fish and chips and shared among the four of us.the fish was soft, flaky and the batter was just right. the fries, were fried to perfection. had a good time, both times we were there. service was great too. the girls were friendly.plus side, it is HALAL!!

Having been here before with work colleagues for take away lunch on a number of previous occasions, we made the mistake of going back today (19th Feb 2016). We bought fish burgers and chips and one had grilled fish which has now leapt to 9-00 for a takeout! It was so slow over 30 min wait, the chips were greasy and under cooked and the fish burger was chewy and over done, see pictures attached - overall I would give this place a miss

Be grown up by the sea and having these fish n chips made me feel right at home and all I was Minsk h was the beach. What a fantastic meal and staff you have.

I have never been in a restaurant before were there has only been three tables occupied, totalling six diners, with every table receiving an incorrect order and neither of the tables received two plates of food at the same time. It also took over thirty minutes for the food to arrive; I can only assume they hadn't even peeled the potatoes prior to taking the order.This was a shame because the Fish & Chips was as good as I've had in a long time, and the prawns absolutely delicious. Especially as they were half price from Groupon, this could have potentially scored a five, but unfortunately fell well short.

Es gibt Vieles auf der Karte und auch auf den Tafeln an der angepriesen. Aber eigentlich ist es egal weil wenn man einmal Fish & Chips dort gegessen hat will man nichts anderes. Die Atmosphäre ist ist echt und das Personal verstärkt den Eindruck.Alles sehr locker und freundlich. Auch eine große Getränkeauswahl vorhanden. Für Weintrinker ist die Auswahl etwas bescheiden aber doch gut gewählt. Über Parkplatz kann ich nix sagen weil ich ohne Auto in London war. Restaurant ist aber gut zu Fuss zu erreichen von der U-Bahn aus. Die Preise sind im Durchschnitt, wobei ich von mir sagen muss das ich nicht so sehr darauf achte wenn ich mal eine Reise mache. Mein Besuch war im Sommer 2015.

This place was very welcoming and the fish and chips were as good as we expected to be. We loved and the staff very nice as well.

We were looking for a good fish and chips restaurant, so a friend of my husbands took us here, as he works in this area. The meal was very good, crispy and flavorful. The chips were unsalted but that is easy to fix. We placed the order downstairs and then waited upstairs for them to bring the food. It took about 10 minutes to receive. There was a bit of confusion on my order, but the man apologized, and I didn't mind since I was full by this time. Not a destination restaurant, but good fish if you are walking by. BTW, it has a new name, Dhenn's.

De zaak heet tegenwoordig Dheens Fish and Chips. We hadden de Cod & shrimp with chips. Dun laagje paneer, uitstekend gebakken in vet van de juiste temperatuur zodat het eten niet droop van het vet. Ook nog een heerlijke saus erbij. Boven kun je xitten in een eenvoudige, maar wel leuk aangeklede ruimte.

Lo habiamos conocido con London Fish and Chips, el cual pertenecia a una cadenna arabe con presencia en muchos malls de Dubaia y zonas aledañas. Actualmente lo vendieron a otro arabe el cual incorporo kebaps de cordero.

El local está sucio y grasiento, huele a fritanga y el lavabo daba pena. Entramos siguiendo las buenas críticas de tripadvisor y es la primera vez que no las comparto, quizás sea que han cambiado de propietario, ya que no se llama London fish & chips si no Dhees fish & chips. Para mi gusto demasiado rebozado y aceitoso. La chica que nos atendió muy amable.

I ate fish and chips, my girlfried ate an hamburger. The taste was fine, the quantities were generous and the sauces were good. Maybe we didn't make ourselves so clear and they brought us a wrong dish, but they were kind to take it back and bring the right one. The price is not so low but - hey, what do you expect, it's London!

I work nearby and have visited this restaurant quite a few times. It has now changed it's name, but the management is still the same. They serve great food, good service, very overwhelming portions, great fried prawns!! PS. They have a good discounts for people whom work in the area.

It must have been a bad day. There were no other customers in the upstairs resturant part of the fish and chip shop when I went in around 1830 on a Tuesday - and that should have alerted me. The music was loud - very loud. Turkish music is Ok but not when eating fish and chips. The fish batter was dark and either reheated or old fat. The fish tasted fine where the fish was thick but very dry around the sides. The chips were very good and plentiful. Luckily the Lion King show I was en route to was fantastic or my night out would have been wasted. Not for me again but if you are passing buy the chips - as a takeaway.

Had a takeaway with a Groupon deal and chose the cod and chips. Service attentive and speedy. Fish was cooked on the spot and a big portion was presented with very plumpy chips.Very generous considering it was on a deal. Company must have change hands ,as they are now call Dheen's. Should have eaten it on the premises, as by the time I took it home, the batter was very soft and not crunchy..Chips was very good .Highly recommended.

Had been there quite many time and honestly I have tried every single item on their menu so far. Their Hyde Park (Spicy Grilled Cod) is fabulous and an absolute marvel. Very balanced on greasyness and full of flavour.Service is always friendly and cheerful.A place difficult to forget once you have been there.

We visited this lovely little place last week when on a day out in covent garden. Got a very good deal with groupon. When we arrived we ordered our meal downstairs which is small and looks like an ordinary little takeaway place although very clean :) went upstairs and sat down and it's a great little place. Really funky design with an excellent toilet ( picture added ) we found it really quirky with a nice vibe. We both ordered cod and chips with a cup of tea. The waitress bought my meal up and it was pieces of battered fish with chips and mushy peas. I covered it all in salt & vinegar started to eat it and then she came upstairs with 2 cod and chips, that's when she realised she had given me the wrong meal. She took it away and gave us our meals and apologised to the man who's meal it was. Our meal was superb. Not greasy at all, the batter was exceptional, light and beautiful. The chips were perfectly crispy and fluffy. I cannot fault anything at all apart from the size of the tiny tea cups lol . Brilliant place for fish and chips yum. Thank you

Estuvimos casi dos semanas en Londres y preguntamos mucho donde comer un buen y clasico "Fish & Chips" Nos lo recomendaron primero en el hotel y luego una guia que contratamos para una excursión. Es cierto que el lugar no es muy amplio pero el ambiente es muy agradable y los empleados fueron muy cordiales. En cuanto a la comida, el titulo lo dice todo, es el mejor que hemos probado. El plato es abundante y por 11£ viene con papas, salsa y bebida a elección. Sin dudas que lo recomiendo. Volveremos.

Se encuentra en una calle secundaria, cerca de Trafalgar square y de zona de pubs. Fuimos a media hora de que cerraran y a pesar de ello, y de que nos fuimos de allí pasada la hora de cierre, el trato fue muy bueno. Pedimos fish and chips grande de Bacalao (11 libras). Recomiendo su visita, aunque eso sí, cuidado con la hora de cierre (las 21:00h)

We stumbled onto this restaurant by reading reviews and we were so happy we came! If you are looking for traditional and delicious fish at a reasonable price, this is it. Its small, but there is additional seating upstairs. I would not recommend anything other than fish though, because the fried chicken patties tasted tough and processed. I will go eat the fish again any time, though! Portions are very large and could easily be shared. I can't wait to bring back other family members when we visit London again!

Me and my group were down in London for the weekend when we stumbled upon this lovely fish and chip shop!We were undecided where we wanted to eat at first and then it got to the point where we were just that hungry it didn't matter anymore!We entered London Fish and Chip shop before going to see the Lion King and we were pleasantly surprised!The menu was brilliant, lots to chose from and they name all their dishes after London attractions etc.We all ordered different things (Sausage and chips/Fish and chips) and also got a side of mushy peas!The service was quick and our food was also served quickly, but you could tell it hadn't been sitting for ages like you can in some chip shops - this stuff had been cooked fresh!There was the option to take it away or there was a small breakfast bar downstairs - there was additional seating upstairs, so we decided to go and sit up there rather than walking the streets with our food! It's rather small upstairs, but to be honest it made it feel a bit more homely and could enjoy our food more!The staff were very friendly and welcoming too, which is a bonus!Would highly recommend paying this place a visit!We WILL be back!

I visit this restaurant regularly. It's small but has a clean seating area upstairs. The fish is beautifully lightly cooked and is ready within minutes of ordering. The quality is great and it's so cheap - a piece of cod with prawns and chips (Big Ben) for less than a tenner for take-away.

If you want fish and chips, this is the place to go. The food looks and tastes excellent. But what really makes it special is the attentive and speedy service of the staff, and how clean the restaurant is.

Very simple, no frills eatery with in my opinion friendly staff and good background music. The food was well presented reasonably priced and delicious. I did think that paying £1.50 for a can of foreign Diet Coke was a bit excessive. Saying that I would go again when I am in Covent Garden.

Il locale non è particolarmente arredato, ha uno stile quasi minimale, ma nel complesso il servizio è veloce. Abbiamo preso una frittura di totani e baccalà che per i miei gusti è risultata essere troppo unta. Prezzi modici ma non ci tornerei.

Pour manger un soir sur les conseils d'une connaissance. Au premier abord, un fast food pour fish and chips, l'accueil s'en trouve très chaleureux. Nous sommes places à l'étage et nos plats nous sont apporté sur place. Le fish and chips est très copieux en menu classique et il est très bon. Bref n'hésitez pas !

Très bon Fish and Chips, le poisson malgré sa panure est fondant, ce n'est pas gras au point de voir l'huile sortir du poisson. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Pas facile à trouver mais parfait pour le mythique Fish and Chips. Personnel acceuillant. Salle à l'étage. Ne pas prendre le poulet car c'est juste un nuggets géant sans intérêt.
