Pilots Bar & Kitchen at T5 in City of London, Westminster

We had a lovely time at Pilots, the food was fantastic. Service at the start was slightly slow however everything else was amazing!

I had an excellent dining experience at Pilots in Terminal 5. I had a delay for 4 hours so i decided to stop here instead of the lounges The atmosphere was inviting, The food exceeded my expectations, particularly the Thai green curry, which was outstanding. Jatinder recommended the Mai Tai as cocktail and it proved to be an amazing addition to the meal. His attentive service greatly enhanced the overall experience. I look forward to return in the future if i fly back to Terminal 5

Good food, the Turkish eggs were sweet and spicy. Great service. The waitress, Shakun was very attentive and efficient.

Had dinner and a drink here whilst waiting for a flight. Was seated promptly and a friendly waiter took my order quite quickly. Food was very tasty and the service was great - until it came to pay. Took quite a long time to get attention to get the bill, was then given it but took over 10 minutes to get anyone's attention to actually pay. I asked several people as my previously very helpful waiter had disappeared, eventually I stood up and asked a waitress if I could pay because my flight was due to start boarding and although she had finished serving other customers I was told in a very rude way "you have to wait for YOUR waiter, I'm busy too and have other things to do." I eventually located my waiter and paid. Had it not have been for the paying experience this place would have got a higher rating. Seems odd that they didn't want to take my money and that in an airport of all places they don't realise that people can't hang around all day.

We had a great breakfast but more importantly we watched our waiter, Ramesh, help a woman who didn't realize her flight was boarding. He confirmed her flight was boarding and checked her pass, quickly took care of her food, and he helped get her to her gate in time to make her flight. He was busy with occupied tables but took the time to help this woman - it was nice to see such an act of kindness!

Absolutely outstanding. Everything was delicious. I love that place and I want to fly even more because of that restaurant. Paulina the waitress was amazing cheerful and very knowledgeble, she also managed my allergy. Love it you must visit!

Stopped for a quick bite, very nicely laid out bar with a decent breakfast offer. I had the small Eggs Ben, which was delicious. Small as it was just half a muffin but still two eggs and ham. Tasty, well presented and came in good time. Flatwhite was also good. Service quick and efficient.

Great service from Walter. Breakfast and coffee was really good. We were not kicked out after breakfast even if the place looks busy.

Gosh ! was starving and had little time between flights so hadn’t time to look around and compare options . Very limited menu . Extortionate prices at £20 for full breakfast! Drinks also extortionate at 7.50 for a pint and £8.95 for a small wine . In its favour -very pleasant server and food served quickly and was tasty . Will look around for bigger selection of dishes and more favourable prices next time though!

Walter was an amazing and efficient server. He was patient and organized and so kind to our big group. Food was great---would definitely return!

Walter served a group of 8 Canadian women during a busy lunch crowd. He put two tables together, served us exactly what we ordered and provided separate bills. Friendly and helpful. Ask for Walter. He was wonderful!!

I came here before flying out after I saw on a recent instagram post that Terminal 5 was the place to eat and it delivered. I had the Turkish eggs they were cooked perfectly runny yolk the salsa was fresh and full of flavour. My waitress Monica was so lovely very smiley made sure I was happy with everything. I will be returning next time I'm here Thankyou to the chef 👨‍🍳

Very friendly staff with a good memory for our particular order (no pen and paper required!) Walter was helpful and communicative which made our pre-flight experience enjoyable at Heathrow T5

Like a breath of fresh air to actually be treated as a respected paying customer. Excellent service by Walter, nothing too much trouble. Staff exceptionally professional and quick. Food very good too. Definitely will be making this my regular food and beverage stop in T5.

Very own service, even though it wasn't busy.Quite expensive. But it's a captive audience. The food was good. Staff friendly, but worked at a snai's pace. Wouldn't recommend it if your flight is an hour or less.

(9/2/24 - 1045am) Just want to shout out staff & my experience at Pilot Bar this morning. The airport was HEAVING (FFS it's FEBRUARY! where & why is everybody coming from? It was like peak school summer hols!) And this little princess was pretty pissed off that she couldn't get into the club aspire lounge for her free scrambled eggs and mimosa. (Like how DARE they?!?😜) Desperate for just anything to eat, uncaffenaited & ready to kill the next person who stops suddenly with their suitcase in the middle of the thoroughfare (why, just why?!) 10 mins wait at spoons, 10 mins here too i heard her say to a family in front of me. But I asked the hostess - it's just me can you squeeze me in solo at the bar? She cleaned it up for me - that's isn't even her job but she did it - top class service from the outset. Young Curly haired lad at bar knew all the answers to questions about gates and things that he didn't even need to answer, as in it's technically not his job. He warned me it will be a 15 minute walk to gate C for example. Really nice coffee - better than the chains or the lounges. Perfect flavour. Eggs Florentine - better than the ones I had in the supposedly famous brunch place in New Orleans, that my Amexy platinum turn-left-on-the-plane type friend (everyone has one), had treated me to. Food arrived within 20 mins as promised on the tin. Lady on duty looked like the manager - help me to charge my phone when it wasn't working on the air charger and then offered another one that they had out the back to plug in a socket. Not her job - above and beyond. The staff here put the staff at the premium lounges at T5 Heathrow I've been in to shame really. 5 star service even though they could do bare minimum if they wanted to, given all everyone wants is to get sustenance into them and to their gate quickly. Far better than it should be; great food, coffee, timings & All staff go above & beyond. Won't be paying to use the lounges again or waste  my free passes at Heathrow T5 when this place is so great. ❤️

We went were in the early morning and it was nice and quiet, got served by Walter and he was very nice and attentive. Order full English breakfast, bagel and coffee.

Excellent breakfast and service from the staff here I ended up eating twice here due to my flight to MIA being cancelled by British Airways so had to fly the next morning British Airways gave me some vouchers I was able to use these here...

Needed a zero alcohol beer. Only have Heineken Zero which is just chemically and horrible. There are stacks of great zero beers out there. It’s just lazy not to stock a few in a busy place like this. Would have been a 1 but the...

We went for breakfast here and it was nice and quiet, nice place to wait for our flight. The food is average and the pricing was expected in airport area but our servers Walter was on point took our order and very impressed remember all of it without writing it down, very attentive definitely coming back

There are limited choices in this airport, like many others. And there is only one restaurant style place. It looks the part, and the staff are friendly and very professional. However, when the full fry is priced at almost £18 a head you expect something extraordinary. Sadly, it was just a fry like any other. There are many places where I have received such fare at less than half this price and they have been consistently tastier than what was offered. This is a rip off, taking advantage of a captive audience. Shame on you London City Airport.

Quick service, had the burger which was delievered in about 10 minutes, not cheap but what do you expect in an airport, would go back

Went for breakfast here with a group while waiting for a connection. The food was good but the service was what stood out for us. Our waitress was Raimonda and she was just so upbeat and lovely. Took our order with a smile and cheered us up after a long night travelling.

In brief, myself and my wife and our 4 year old just made it to the airport with a little time to spare for a quick bite before a transatlantic flight (imagine the stress). It had been the end to a long trip and i proposed a glass of proseco to celebrate the happy ending to a long trip.My wife refused and opted for a glass of water.Silvio the waiter duly took our order and disappeared off to the computer to enter the order. Whilst visibly tapping away trying to make our entry he had a confused look and wandered back over to our table scratching his head. He approached my wife and said the following:"I'm sorry madam, but the computer doesnt seem to want to accept the order for proseco. Every time i enter the order it refuses to accept it unless i change it to TWO glasses. What should I do?"This brought a wide smile to my wife's face and we ended up toasting a great trip and any present stresses just melted away. Silvio's approach was remarkable. The smallest of gestures produced the most pleasurable result. He is destined for greatness, so enjoy him while you still can.Thanks!Sanjayx

Kellner Luca ist überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Pilot Burger hat sehr gut geschmeckt und die Küche ist auch auf unsere Sonderwünsche eingegangen. Auch die anderen Gerichte waren exzellent.

I had lunch at Pilots Bar & Kitchen during a layover en route to the US. I found the prices to be stiff: 12.45£ for a veggie burger and fries, compared to the "meal deal" of sandwich, drink and chips at WH Smith next door. The food tasted fine, but I would have preferred a crisper pattie in the burger, and the option of a whole grain bun. The fries, obviously hand made, were the best part of the meal. That and the complementary mocha which a very nice server Karolina offered me, when the burger took a little long to arrive. So excellent fries and very good coffee. That said, the service was outstanding. My main server Makving was very friendly, took a little time to chat. Really made me feel at home. And there was no rush. Even though people were waiting to be seated, I never felt rushed. That personal touch made up for what was lacking in food quality.I will definitely come back!

I was travelling to new york and got a lot of time so i decided to go around the terminal 5. I managed to get to Pilots bar and it was great choice. I sat on the bar and Kinga was serving me. She was a lovely and helpfull. I had 4 pints of ipa which was fantastic and the fish and chips. The whole expierience was great as ive seen most of the stuff enjoying the work and it was very busy. I will be coming back for sure.

I spent a long time @ Pilot while waiting for my next flight.The experience was great : classy and cosy atmosphere, nice and soft music, delicious steak sandwich and perfect (I mean perfect) service by Kinga ! Definitely a great spot in Heathrow's terminal 5 !

We had a lengthy layover in Terminal 5 and had a great couple of hours eating and drinking in this comfortable environment. The menu is diverse. All the food was quickly served and quite food (especially for an airport restaurant where expectations are sometimes less). Our hostess Sani and server Celia were both standouts. Full of smiles and very helpful. Would absolutely recommend this spot when next your in T5 at Heathrow.

We visited a few months ago and were served by Russel who was very attentive and suggested us options that suited our needs. This time we were lucky enough to have him again and yet again he impressed us with his impeccable service. Keep it up!

Helen was excellent. Friendly, prompt, concerned that service was of a high standard. Pizza was tasty and good cake for money.

In such a busy airport, Pilots is an oasis of calm. Attentive service, great food and away from the hustle and bustle. No more expensive than Wetherspoons but certainly more exclusive. I always ensure I get to T5 early enough to see the kind, smiling waiting team and I always know I will get great food and drink.

Ho preso una colazione all'americana: uova all'occhio di bue e bacon. Il bacon non era bacon, non sono riuscito a capire se era un pezzo di spalla cotta dura come una suola di scarpe o qualche altro pezzo di maiale a me sconosciuto. Le uova era difficile sbagliarle. Mi aspettavo molto, ma molto di più per il prezzo pagato.

Second visit to Pilots after visiting alone six month ago. While I was happy I was not amazed but decided to go back due to it seeming the best place for a group of 10 to all find somthing. The hostess apologise for ther not being a table ready for 10 but quickly they rearranged and made one. W were served promptly they kept returning when someone's glass was empty to offer more drinks. At the end of the meal we sang happy birthday to a friend, the manager must have heard this as he then brought over a slice of cake for him on the house! Everyone seemed to thank us as we left and made us all feel at home! The price was the same as similar places in London, the drink maybe cheaper?

Travelling with two special needs children is not always an easy thing, especially in busy airport restaurants where people are tired and want a quiet time. We visited Pilots while we were waiting for our flight from Terminal 5 and our children were very anxious and slightly agitated. Not only did we have a wonderful meal, but we were served by two gentlemen who made it such a wonderful experience. They addressed all of our needs with care and smiles and made a fuss of both of our children and made them feel very special. Good service is part of the job, but caring about people is so much more than that. To Silvio and Makving who served us on Tuesday 8th August, thank you so much; you made our children feel like superstars and gave my husband and I some much needed smiles. We were all exhausted and you helped us feel so much better.To the managers of Pilots: these members of staff were outstanding, I hope you know what treasures you have in them working on your team. Thank you gents, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!!

J'ai passé mes longues heures d'attente dans ce bar restaurant du terminal 5, très confortablement installée dans un fauteuil cuir tout confort.L'accueil y est excellent, la serveuse a même pris le temps d'une courte discussion avec moi, elle était parfaite, son accent venu tout droit d'Italie nous rappelle que nous sommes ici au cœur des échanges internationaux.Demandez Ariana.

Yesterday I visit your restaurant. Celina was serving me. She was very lovely. I had fisch and chips and pint of Lagunitas. I was very satisfied with service and quality of food. Next flight come back definitely for at least pint.

Very efficient service and good food. Although it was very busy on a Friday afternoon the staff gave us a warm welcome and were very accommodating. If you get Silvio serving you then you'll definitely enjoy your visit - Thank you!

I've sat on the bar and waited to be served, a waitress came, stared at me - I smiled at her ( genuinely) and she snapped " what do you want". I replied patiently " maybe a menu". She brought this , then another waiter came to get my order - just Bloody Mary. For years I haven't met such a rude waitress. When leaving I asked her where she was from - she snapped again " Romanian". This is for the management in case they read this as I haven't found an email on their site. I certainly won't be returning. They should train their stars properly.

Acabamos de estar ahí. Servicio atento y encantadores, sobretodo un camarero inglés-italiano. Los bocadillos de carne y el se salmón, muy buenos. El Carrot cake, excelente. Y el sitio, tranquilo. No podíamos quedar más satisfechos

Endroit très agréable et calme loin du tumulte de l'aérogare . Très appréciable !La serveuse Raimonda s'est montrée tout particulièrement souriante , agréable et prévenante ! Les toasts et le muffin anglais étaient délicieux . Nous y reviendrons à l'occasion .

Good selection of food served promptly but you really pay through the sky for this. Whilst the food is OK it's not worth the money they demand for it. There are other places to eat at T5 that maybe more reasonable.

Sat at the bar at Pilots bar and Kitchen with 2 friends, Dan, lobo and Ashley the three gentleman who work here were fantastic with their service, extremely helpful and always available to help. Thank you very much for starting our trip off well and will certainly be back next month.

Ho pranzato da Pilots durante l'attesa di una coincidenza per Los Angeles, ho apprezzato l'offerta di cucina tipica inglese, ideale per uno spuntino ma anche per un pranzo. Grazie alla gentilezza e all'accoglienza perfetta di Arianna e di tutto lo staff, parzialmente italiano, ho anche potuto apprezzare una piacevole compagnia. Spero di tornare!

The service is very nice. Thiago from Brazil was very welcoming and efficient despite a very busy moment, the quality of the food has room for improvement as does the menu.

Guaranteed fast service before flying really enjoyed the sausage bun and tea very good. I like the seat that looked like it had the same metal as a plane around the outside.

We decided to have breakfast at Pilots. Our waitress Charlotte was very friendly and helpful. We were served quickly without being rushed. It was a relaxing place to eat before boarding our plane.

I chose this restaurant because it was slightly less busy than others. Main reason is its a bit of a walk from entrance to terminal. Staff were charming friendly and helpful. Chicken ceaser was excellent and Merlot tasty.

This bar is vitually the last thing you come to on the right downstairs if you clear security and turn right. Served by three people, all very pleasant and courteous. I plumped for the eggs benedict which were fine and enough before heading onto a flight. Nice surroundings as weell.

Passing through the Heathrow airport as a connection back home we stopped at the Pilots bar and kitchen for lunch. Food was decent and a little pricey for what it was but the customer service was spot on especially for how busy this place is. Sat promptly at the only available table and although she was run ragged by the amount of people and limited staff Charlotte was extremely friendly, attentive and helpful throughout the whole meal. I would recommend this place on her customer service alone.

OH MY GOODNESS THIS WEEK I EXPERIENCED THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!I visited Pilot's Bar & Kitchen on 6th April 2016 and was met with the best dazzling smile from Charlotte! I was seated very quickly and I moved seats twice after as my P.C. went flat and I needed to charge it up. I had the Eggs Benedict, two Lattes and a large bottle of still water. Total cost was £20.20 which for an airport was brilliantly priced. I have to say that the very high level of customer service, customer care and totally fantastic attention that Charlotte conveyed to me me was EXCEPTIONAL! I was so pleased with her complete overwhelming customer care, that when I paid my bill and was about to leave I even asked to speak to the Manager to let them know the very high levels that Charlotte went to not only for myself eating in the restaurant, but I witnessed her giving every other customer the same high level as myself. If you are reading this and you are thinking of opening a restaurant in the future, then I suggest you go sit in here and watch Charlotte at work. I only wish that every restaurant / bar had a Charlotte working there. Well done and as I work for an airport in Yorkshire I shall most certainly be back!

Relatively new at T5 this is just OK. Menu is limited and expensive but what's new at T5.My fish and chips was served promptly and was hot, but such a small portion!Positively it's always much less busy than the Crown Rivers at the other end of the terminal.

Great coffee, great service. Nice to meet some real pilots who were apparently between flights. Will be back.

Nice place to grab a drink before a flight. We had breakfast too which was very nice. I had a bacon roll, requested all the fat cut off. They did this perfectly and it was lovely.

Its a trickly thing to have a nice service in airport restaurants because the clients just go and go. Nothing particular here. Staff were friendlish but a bit tired on their hectic work. I just took a couple of beers and spent half-an-hour.

Wow the service!! I have just seen the most patient and helpful restaurant waitress I have ever experienced. Together with one of the rudest and most demanding customers.A lady asked for something not on the menu and the waitress politely said they did not have any and again proffered the menu, again she asked for cheese and toast (also not on the menu) and the waitress said she would see what the chef could do, when she returned with a very good looking plate of cheese on toast she was roundly told that the customer did not want cheese ON toast but had meant a cheese toasted sandwich. She again returned to the chef and came back with a very nice toasted cheese sandwich to be told abruptly that the customer wanted a salad with that. The customer at no time said thank you or gave any sign of appreciation and she was the most rude, obnoxious and self-centred customer I have ever met and the waitress was the most patient and polite I have ever seen. I do not know her name but cannot praise her too highly. If you run into her say thank youUnfortunately the food was only average and rather expensive
