Loch Fyne in City of London, Westminster

We had very good seafood lunches st this conveniently located London restaurant, but the location and quality make it a popular lunch spot for those working in the area as well. Get there before noon to have a shot at getting a table without a reservation. Note to Loch Fyne: Please letthe servers tell us what the specials for the day are. Having to hold up the chalkboard for us to read is awkward, time-consuming, and implies that you don’t think they’re able to remember them. The wait staff was very good and they don’t need a prop.

I just love the oysters here. So fresh and juicy.

The wine and seafood was nice. The seafood tagliatelle was very watery and had little flavour, we were given stale bread with the prawn starter and the service overall wasn't great

We went to Loch Fyne Covent Garden because we heard it was closing. We've had many good meals there, so we thought we'd go before it closed. As it was closing there was only one white wine , Sauvignon Blanc, albei tin three varieties. We chose the NZ version which was nice. The food was very good, but only the a la carte menu was offered. No set menus.

Visited today for lunch with my 5 year old daughter before watching the Lion King.

Visited this restaurant prior to seeing a show. It's very close to the theatre's off the Strand and they offer a pre show menu. Walked in off the street about 5.30pm and was immediately seated without a booking. Meal was tasty and same as any other Loch Fyne but at least you know what you're getting. A little overpriced but was able to use a 25% off voucher found online. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would have no problem going there again next Showtime!

If a pub had served the food we had I would have rated it average at best, but for a restaurant that markets itself as more upmarket, this was poor. The fish and chips and scampi we had were both made of low quality ingredients, and I’ve had better from both pubs and fish and chip shops. The “cranachan” bore little resemblance to actual cranachan and was pretty unpleasant. This chain needs to up its game.

Had oyster for the first time. Deeeelllliiiissshhh..... then before you know it I was like a meerkat on guard.... it works I tell you!!! Excellent staff, good gin!!!

We went to this restaurant before Tina. The food was good but not great. Service was ok. The server seemed impatient and intolerant. Outside on sandwich boards clearly state pre-theater menu, which we were not given until we asked after having had regular menus. The server would not answer my question about what a dish was like. I ordered something off regular menu and it was just ok, perhaps had he answered my question I could have ordered something I would like better. I would not return.

We hadn't booked & any later probably wouldn't have got in. Wanting a fairly quick meal before the theatre, we were not disappointed. We were in no way rushed but enjoyed a two course meal and even had time for coffee before getting to the theatre with plenty of time to spare. I had Moules Provençale, a favourite of mine but not regularly served and my husband had grilled cod. Both were delicious. We started with roe served with oatcakes, we will be having that again.

Food was great service was good the toilets could do with a decent clean the smelt funny and the amount of water on the floor is dangerous but everything else was great

We had a great pre theatre dinner and the service was efficient and friendly.

We had to have dinner very quick, because we were stuck in traffic and therefor late and we had to go to the theater on time. But when we mentioned that, they had our meals on the table in a short time. We will make it work, they said. Nice codfish with thin French Fries and kahle. Kind people and affordable.

We first visited Loch Fyne, London in 2016 and decided to go back again when in London going to the theatre. It did not disappoint, we decided not to take the special theatre menu offer but from the main menu. We had starters of haggis, neeps and tatties and this was excellent, a good quality haggis outside of Scotland followed by the fish pie which we both agreed that this was the best we had ever tasted. The staff were attentive, professional and friendly and the white zinfandel wine very good. Was nice to see that the restaurant was of the same standard as previously experienced and would highly recommend.

We had a lovely pre theatre birthday meal with 2for1 on cocktails great G&T;’s! We would recommend this restaurant.

My friend and I went for lunch and once again were not disappointed. From the friendly welcome to our delicious white wine to our fabulous and tasty hot meals (me the fish pie which is the best I've tasted, my friend had the bream which she said was lovely). The service was top notch throughout and everyone was polite and helpful. Can't wait to return!

Ended up in Loch Fyne after a 'posh' restaurant failed to deliver. Walked in & got a table. Absolutely top class service from waiter. Just the right amount of attention, without overdoing it. Food was very nice & persuaded my friend to try one of their oysters for the first time, and they loved it. Had a really good evening & all the staff 'just got it right!'

We came here before we went to the theatre and so glad we did. From the moment we walked in to walking out we couldn’t fault it at all.

Haven’t been for a while and after a long morning walk around London we were hungry and decided to try... so struck luck after getting ripped off yesterday and putting it down to London prices .. but this loch fyne in Covent Garden showed that you can eat in centre of London with extremely reasonable prices for the quality of food they serve - kids menu was great - having a good selection including mussels and calamari ... three courses that sorted hunger of kids a ... mussels delicious... all really good and a good offer for kids as half term! Great service highly recommend

We have eaten at a number of Loch Fyne restaurants over the years and have never been disappointed. This branch was a disgrace tonight and tarnished the good name of Loch Fyne.

Affordable and reasonable prices, Good portions, food is not amazing but is good. Warm atmosphere and great location.

The restaurant was warm and inviting on a very cold January evening,with the staff equally warm and efficient.Chilli prawn starters were perfect and our main course of curry,fish and chips were both delicious. Would definitely recommend.

If you love seafood this is the place to go. Make sure you book a table in the evening to avoid disappointment & leave plenty of time to enjoy the great menu!

A great start to our day and they made it perfect .All if the staff right from the manager who welcomed us , the order taker , waitress, clearer- just fantastic

We were six and all had different dishes and they were all good. The starters were excellent with a range of sharing dishes which is a good option as well

We had a nice cosy table and the champagne, shortbread and homemade honey oat cookies were delicious!

Very good service, food was lovely and sticky toffee pudding was a nice cherry on top. would certainly eat here again.

We visited on a Sunday at 1800 and it wasn't very busy but the service was still just right - not too fast but not too long a wait between courses etc. We had the Cucumber gin & lemonade cocktail which was really refreshing and tasty then we shared a plate of 6 oysters - they were so fresh and enjoyable that we wished that we had ordered a plate of 12! Haggis, neeps & tatties for the starter which was just right size & flavourwise. The mains was seafood tagliatelle which again was nicely presented and very enjoyable. A bottle of the Loch Fyne Sauvignon Blanc which was about the best Sauvignon Blanc from Chile that I have tasted with the meal and a malt whisky & coffee to finish. Everything we ate and drank was good and the service was friendly, helpful and there when you needed then. All in all a great meal after visiting the theatre in Drury Lane.

It’s been a long time since I have visited Loch Fyne this visit didn’t disappoint. Firstly the service was fabulous. I am sorry I did not get the waiters name but he was from Turkey and really friendly as well as dedicated to customer service. He recommended delicious cocktails to my friend he was celebrating a very special birthday.

The food was lovely and as advertised, service prompt and so so friendly and the bathrooms clean. Pre-theatre dinner perfect!

We had a wonderful time and ate some lovely seafood! The waiter was very attentive and the drinks list was very good.

My friends and I meet up regularly for lunch to chat. We often look for offers. We got 50% off mains which was great value. The food choice pleased everyone. Service was very good. It was quiet but to be expected on a Monday.

We booked for burns night and turned up on time but had to wait 10 minutes for our table to be ready. We were led downstairs into a table in the middle of the corridor nest to 2 other big tables and a bit to close to them so we kept getting bumped. My wife is 7 months pregnant so wasn't in the best mood to be bumped. We ordered from the burns set menu and after 45 minutes our starters hadn't arrived. We were told they'd been a mix up in the tickets and also one of the main courses, venison, had run out. We ordered a steak instead. Eventually all arrived and food was ok apart from my wife's kranachan which tasted funny so she left that. Nice having a piper but overall there was an air of panic and lack of organisation and our seating was less than ideal. Not sure how you can run out of one of the main courses so early in the evening but there we are. Am sure on normal nights it's better but this dinner was pretty poor.

Buen lugar para una gran variedad de pescados y mariscos antes del teatro. El salmón ahumado y las ostras eran excelentes y nuestros entrantes de salmón y mero eran muy frescos y bien preparados.

We had a very nice meal. The staff were very friendly and made sure we had everything. They also checked twice that our meaal was ok. The only issue was that it was very hot in the restaurant.

I went for an evening meal at Loch Fyne in Convent Garden with four other family members yesterday.We took advantage of the 50% off all food from the a la carte menu in January offer. We all had three courses and couldn't fault anything. The staff were friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was convivial. The central location made it easy to get to and therefore makes it a good stopping point for other attractions.

The restaurant was a bit too crowded, and the waiter seemed quite stressed. Food was fine, though not mind-blowing. But good value for money.

I eat at Loch Fyne in Twickenham on a regular basis and really enjoy the food there. This branch was , however, a completely different experience. The food was dreadful. The fish and chips were really over cooked, the burger was overcooked and chewy as was the scampi. The portion of peas with the scampi wasn't worth putting on the plate -not even a desert spoons worth, slightly squashed. An expensive meal for very poor quality food. I would not recommend this branch at all and will stick to the Twickenham branch in the future.

We visited this restaurant accidentally whilst shopping. With no reservation and this amazing deal we weren't too positive about getting a table but they made space for us. I must say the service from start to finish was exceptional. The food, again, amazing. Delicious, huge portions and a great selection of wine to accompany. The 50% off deal was a bonus but I would return paying full price no problem. It was a fantastic lunch.

An excellent offer for a special occasion with a 5 dish menu for the evening in a convivial atmosphere. an enjoyable evening altogether with good food and excellent wine.

This was definitely the highlight of my trip to London! Starter with a great glass of wine which was recommended by my waitress. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Always smiling and being on time when needed. To match the great service the food was also amazing. I’ve had the seafood platter and everything was cooked to perfection! Thank you Loch Fyne and Tsvetelina for the great dinning experience. I will definitely come back!

Saw in the New Year here with fabulous 5 & 7 course menus + taster wines at each course. The team here are always warm and friendly and as usual service was great. Every dish was beautifully crafted and wonderful flavours delivered in huge varieties to compliment each fish...daughter has fallen in love with samphire. Hubby managed all 7 courses while the 5 were pefect for the girls. Wine selections were excellent compliments. Real lalue for money. There is an excellent new January menu and fantastic deals plus a birthday bottle of Proscecco awaiting next visit (Friend rewad). Highly recommend.

I visited Loch Fyne London in late 2018. We were 5 people. Food was very tasty and service was great due to our server Ivan. Everything was prepared to our requests. Everyone at the table was really happy with their food. The only complaint may be that the stew plate was really big. Unless you are very hungry, consider another plate.

Definitely a hidden gem. A superb meal in the heart of Covent Garden. We had king prawns and squid as starters, followed by scallops and mussels, and they were all cooked to perfection. Our server, Ivan, was friendly and attentive. It was a delightful experience and will definitely return.

Booked online and chanced a special request asking for scallops with the roe left on which is rare to find these days. Mentioned this at restaurant and they gladly obliged. Food was fantastic and staff were great Will definitely return!

Lunch on a Friday. Nice welcome and a good seat for us an our little one in a highchair. We appeared to put off the person taking our order by ordering our meal at the same time as drinks, he seems somewhat putout.

Came here for lunch, just the two of us. The staff are so friendly and helpful they made it for us. Amazing fresh sea food. Will definitely come back next time I have a couple of hours to kill in London.

Really good to return to this friendly Loch Fyne. Good selection, as always, and we especially enjoyed the haloumi fries and also smoked cod's roe pate as starters. Professional and helpful service. Thank you to the team.

Avoid the Xmas Menu. Booked and paid deposit but did not pre-book menu as received no reminder and there were only two of us. Other customers pushed ahead of us and were shown to their table, despite us standing at the reception area, having been told to wait. We were given the wrong menus and then told off for not pre-ordering. Felt rushed as asked twice to give our order as 'there were other customers to serve you know'. No turkey available - on a Christmas menu?!? Had to ask for prosecco that had been ordered, when it came it wasn't fully chilled. Meal was OK but not worth the money. Asked repeatedly if we wanted tea, coffee or the bill. It wasn't even that busy. Wouldn't recommend - worst service of the season, and average Xmas menu for the price.

Chose this place as I had meetings near Covent Garden as this is a great restaurant and immense value for the London area. Located just off the main part of Covent Garden and close to the theatre royal, Drury lane. The seafood is great quality and the service is ok....possibly a little transactional.

First time eating in this chain and enjoyed it. We were enticed in by the haggis on 2 of the starters but overall there was a good choice and we enjoyed the food, although my wife's haggis, neeps and tatties was almost cold. We weren't in a hurry but the service was on the slow side. Special mention goes to the guy on front of house (sorry, didn't get his name); no tables were available but he made us very welcome and looked after us wonderfully while we waited. Thank you. 3 stars for the restaurant as a whole and 5 stars for him.

Had never eaten at Loch Fyne before but love seafood. I was not disappointed it was a lovely meal. The team made us feel incredibly welcome and were really attentive it was a lovely meal

I enjoyed such a beautiful occasion with my family here. Tasted my first oysters, they were fabulous! They accommodated my party of 9 including 3 children and a baby. The most amazing delicious seafood. Not a single complaint to make. Sophisticated but reasonably priced. A gem in Covent garden! Book ahead if your party is larger than 4. I was overwelmingly impressed! I highly recommend to you all.

Despite having been aware of this restauranteur years this was, I am ashamed to say, my first visit. On arrival the "feel" of the establishment was warm and friendly, as was our welcome. Two members off staff looked after us, both were very professional the male of the pair outstandingly so. They knew their menu and were helpful without any condescension. The food was excellent, one of our number did not like fish but the short list of alternatives not only fitted their preference but was of fine quality and presentation. The food lived up to the quality I had expected, and the wine not expensive for the quality of the offering. I look forward with anticipation to our next visit.

Visited Loch Fyne Covent Garden for the second time, on Sat 8 December. Food was great as on my first visit. There were 6 of us and only 1 had a very slight complaint of her Cod being a little under cooked. All other meals were yum! May visit again in February.

Very reasonable set menu with discounted wine. Excellent service and ambience and the food was delicious!

Fantastic Fish, I had beautiful Scallops cooked with haggis,which I really enjoyed and then I had "fish and chips", which were great with beer batter, a thick piece of cod which was cooked perfectly, and all the accompaniments. We will definitely be back.

Greeted by Steve, Assistant Manager, who found us seats at the bar on a very crowded night. Wonderful service, extremely tasty food, and timely service, to make our theater date. What made the evening more special was the banter with Steve, providing a very local flavor for the evening. We will make it a point to return and encourage all to do so when in the West End theater district.

Came for a Christmas outing with friends and enjoyed the very reasonably priced lunch menu. Served by a lovely waiter called Ivan who went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our visit. Recommend the chocolate tart, charcuterie and king prawn pasta

and the mussels are my favourite! Perfectly prepared and presented. Ordered with their fantastic twice cooked chips. The set menu price is very fair. Instead of a starter,I ordered dessert. 3 courses is just too much to eat. The sticky toffee pudding was so good, and a perfect way to end the meal.

My husband and I just recently visited this restaurant. We have had many bad experience in London, and around the world regarding service. Somehow we are just unlucky. However this was not the case here. Unfortunately didn't catch the waiters name, but he was absolutely stunning. He was from India, originally from Goa and had tattoos. I hope his management acknowledge his great service. We had a simple dinner, with starters and main course which was fresh, tasty and delicious.

On our recent weekend to London we called in here for lunch on the off chance of a table. Although it was fairly busy, we were seated no problem, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was lovely, I had scampi and my husband had fish and chips. Have to say the batter was beautiful and it was the nicest scampi I’ve had. Lovely restaurant and lovely environment.

Have been here a couple of times and have never been disappointed by the food. The quality of fish and seafood is amazing. I would suggest taking a mixed seafood platter or something from the catch of the day selection. This place may not be suitable for your most romantic dinner but it is definitely worth a visit.

Had a wonderful meal here to celebrate my Father's 80th birthday after we had seen a show. The staff we very attentive and welcoming. The food was great and service excellent. Highly recommended, would definitely visit again.

I had been looking forward to dinner here as the menu looked great for fish lovers. Unfortunatly we left a little disappointed.

Nothing too special for the costs involved. Two fish and chips, a special off the board and a steak coming in at over £120 including a couple of bottles of beer and two soft drinks. The food was of very good quality and the service was quick, which was not surprising as the restaurant was quiet at the time. We are not convinced we will use this establishment again. The staff were excellent and keen to try and make our visit enjoyable.

Have been to Loch Fyne many times before and have always enjoyed it. However on this occasion I was disappointed. I had simple scampi and fries as a main and it was luke warm served on a cold plate. The staff were concerned and offered to serve me another but I did not have the time. Without prompting they did not charge me for the main course which was good. My partner's meal was very good.

Very well located, near Covent Garden. A small but very varied menu with a good selection of fish and seafood. Prices are reasonable and the service that day was excellent. I will have no hesitation in returning!

3rd November. Pre-show birthday treat from my wife. Front of house were very kind in finding us a table in an otherwise fully booked restaurant. Had a problem with the meal but this was dealt with by the manager who bought two fresh meals when I had to send back mine. Very thoughtful as nothing worse than watching somebody eat having already finished yours. Both the manager and waiter (wish I had taken names) were excellent in ensuring everything was as it should be and kept coming over to check. Very pleasant and professional, thank you!

We had great food and excellent service. We were a little late arriving but the staff were efficient and understanding in us needing to rush.

Loch Fyne is always reliable but it was a bit disappointing to find that something as commonplace as fish and chips was off the menu when we were there recently. However the deficiency was more than compensated by the scallops and haggis starter - an unlikely but inspired combination.

After a long day spent walking in London we decided to stop for dinner without reservation at Loch&Fine.; Nice place near Novello Theatre. Fresh and very good fish, both the grilled salmon and half lobster were very good. Very delicious desserts. Very good service. I will come there again in the future!

My husband booked this restaurant for my 60th birthday. I love sea food so was really looking forward to our........ My starter of mussels was nice but my husbands prawn cocktail had so much lettuce and only 9 Prawns was a tad expensive. The the mains turned up. To be honest I have to congratulate the chef how you make a fish pie that is so hot around the edges that it was eat to burn your month but the middle was freezing cold is beyond me. When we pointed this out I was asked to select something else. Having done so I watched my husband eat his main and then he took his turn to watch me.........not what we'd both wanted from my 60th birthday celebration meal. I was given a glass of wine whilst my substitute main was cooked but it really wasn't the experience I or my husband was expecting..... We won't be going here again

Loch Fynes are everywhere now but what makes this branch 'excellent' for us is their staff. Unfailingly helpful and efficient, they make this restaurant a pleasure in which to eat. The Manager was great fun with a super sense of humour and Turgay, who served us, was efficient and friendly. Top that up with fresh oysters and well cooked fish and you have found an ideal place for a seafood meal. This branch is located conveniently close to Covent Garden and a far better place to eat than the over priced eateries around there. It is also open all day and do a pretty good pre theatre menu which you must book as the restaurant gets pretty busy towards early evening. Warning: the stairs down to the loos are lethal so ask to use the one upstairs. Tip: Join the Loch Fyne club; the offers and freebies are pretty good.

Recent visit to see Mamma Mia in Novello but didn't book anywhere for food.

It is my second visit in this restaurants. First time in London and I have to say that I looking forward to see next location. I think it is best lunch menu according quality to price. me and my partner go for iron steak (extra 2£) and it was a great meal. I love Eton mess and cream brulé. If you never try this restaurant you should give a chance also try espresso martini

One of our favourite fish restaurants and we always stop here while in London. Great fish and fresh oysters with good choice of wine at the right price. Always good value.

Frequentiamo abbastanza spesso il Loch Fyne restaurant, grazioso locale in zona Covent Garden, a due passi dal Novello Theatre.

Ho preso un cocktail di gamberi (migliore mai mangiato nella via) salmone saltato con salsa e contorno di spinaci e insalata greca, calice di vino. Prezzo 27 sterline. Ottimo!

This place is cosy, amazing oysters, nice champagne (even per glass that is a big plus) and the scallops were great! I will definetly be back in the future

Booked table for four on arrival was asked to wait while table was made ready only for it then to be given to a couple who did not book but just came in after us. We were then asked to wait yet again after the table was made ready it was at least 15 minutes before we were asked whether we wanted pre dinner drinks. We ordered these and waited for someone to take our meal order. After at least another 10 minutes no one arrived to take our order. After 15 minutes the pre drinks arrived we decided. that if the level of service was this bad in what was not a particularly busy restaurant then the food if you could even order it was likely to be as bad we decided to walk out. By all accounts we had a lucky escape tourist avoid this place like the plague. They do not want your custom and hopefully will close down shortly. There are a lot of better restaurants in covent garden.
