Love it here! Just to drink I love these polestar Martini. To eat I love the meatplatter to share. There Christmas menu is delicious and has a good varof options.

Categorically do not come here for Christmas dinner. Absolutely shocking food for the price we paid, it was on par with hospital or school food. This isn’t this first time and looks like we weren’t alone looking at the reviews.

We had booked a table for 13 in advance for a birthday get-together. It was a very quiet Thursday evening with only a few other diners, but we were told there were no lamb or steak options available as they'd sold out at lunchtime. Then when we chosen other meals some of our plates arrived cold. Disappointed.

Really disappointing Christmas Day dinner. Food was of poor quality and some was undercooked. Our waitress was very miserable and when we asked her to hold back on serving our mains for a little while the best she could do was raise her eyebrows. Desserts were not much better, pretty tasteless. No condiments on the table, we asked for some, but they never came. At £90 a person I expected far better quality and a happier atmosphere. We came a couple of years ago and were greeted with a glass of fizz and the food was really nice. I emailed my concerns, but no one has bothered to get back to me. If I hadn’t of paid my money up front, I would have argued the bill as what we were given wasn’t worth £50 let alone £90 plus money spent on drinks I’ve had much better Sunday lunches at the New Inn. If you’re going to put on Christmas Day dinner then you should buy and cook quality food.

Had table for 10 Xmas set menu £90 ph. Knew it wasn’t going to be like home but hoping it wouldn’t be a total disaster. Everything was appalling. The main course was a bad school dinner, pigs in blanket without blankets just white looking small savaloy. Braintree farm turkey ( processed crap out out of a packet which resembled spam and tasted of nothing. Goose fat roasted potatoes, two white hard potatoes 😂. And to top it off the stuffing was like pate soft cold uncooked. Grandad broke he’s tooth on rock hard crumble. It was a nightmare. On the positive side the staff serving done what they could and just about managed to keep a straight face when serving the food. Didn’t bother having a go at staff as it was beyond there control and everyone was getting the same treatment. Who made that decision to take the piss out of so many people on such an important family dinner. They should be ashamed.

Terrible Christmas dinner experience very poor quality food. 2 potato’s, under cook pig in blanket. Rock hard parsnip and I piece of ham and I piece of turkey. Rude staff and bad atmosphere. Waste of a Christmas Day won’t be going back. For £90 a person absolute rip off.

Well kept beers, friendly efficient staff and always a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend.

A belated thank you for a great evening at the New Inn last Saturday. We all really enjoyed it and please pass on our thanks to all those involved. The food was delicious too. Looking forward to attending another night like this when you next hold one.

I am a member of the local boxing club in hayes 2bx and went into the new inn for a drink after training with a fellow 2 bx member I was in tracksuit bottoms and received a hostile reception but my freind was ok Shorts ! Explain?

Have to say what poor value Sunday Lunch is - bland and badly oresented with ice cold plates and very little actual food for the money. Not one to recommend.

We went to the New Inn at Hayes as the restaurant we were going to go to was closed on Tuesday. It actually turned out a very good choice. The food was well cooked and hot. Our server Ash couldn’t have been more helpful. It was a real surprise as we really weren’t expecting anything to be much good. So if you want the pub experience give the New Inn a try. Oh and the crumble and custard was spectacular

When checking this place out I found it served Harveys Ale from Lewes on draft. Haven't seen any Harveys anywhere in London before. We were a party of 7 : 4 adults and 3 teens. 2 of the 3 teens ordered pizza; it was a generous size but they only ate 25% of it because they found underneath it was undercooked. 3 of the 4 adults went for the mixed grill. It too was generous, too much to eat. 2 out of 3 of us found parts of the lamb chop to be a little cold. The 4th adult had the steak frites and the steak was delicious. There was enough food to go around to still feed the pizza eater with chips & steak. Apart from the pizza, it was all thoroughly enjoyable. We will definitely go again, but maybe avoid ordering the pizza.

On a baking hot September Saturday lunchtime, with nearly every outdoor table empty and probably more staff behind the bar than there were customers indoors, I wandered around the 2 sides of the bar looking to see what beers they had. Having asked the question, I was told by the girl behind the bar "I'm not serving you". Querying her, I got the clarifying "I'm not allowed to serve you, you're wearing tracksuit bottoms". Being a 60-something on my own (wearing clean jogging bottoms but admittedly perspiring because it was hot), I wondered whether it would be worth engaging in some light-hearted conversation to see whether it was her own opinion or something that this establishment has determined on some whim. Now I've read through the trip advisor reports, which I sense are not over-complimentary, I reach the conclusion that for all its visual appeal it is actually a place worth avoiding and deserves to be empty. I'm glad I left without taxing her conversational skills any further assuming she had some. A pity that the next-door real ale bar wasn't open.

We had a great time here as a party of 10+ the other week and came for the Sunday roast. The food was delicious and we would definitely come back again. The three little desserts come with a choice of hot drink and were delicious also. The roasts come with a side of vegetables not pictured, but it came with cabbage, carrot, broccoli and cauliflower. Furthermore, their cauliflower cheese was devine - would recommend ordering some on the side! I would advise booking as it can get busy. My only qualm would be that we had asked for extra veg/potatoes and we were forgotten about. Once we had asked again midway through our meal, they had brought it out at the very end - around 10 minutes after we’d all finished eating. However, it was very busy on this day and we were a large party so orders can get lost/forgotten, so this didn’t ruin our experience and we would still come back again. Staff apologised regarding this issue and were very polite throughout our dining experience here. We will definitely be back as it was great!

Been here before and was unaware of workman dress code. Got refused service because of work boots which is fair enough and is their policy however I won’t be going here out of principle moving forward simply because a man should be able to enjoy a pint after a long days graft before going home. Would urge any workmen not to go here even if dressed appropriately.

Came here after a long day's work as an electrical supervisor. I was told I would not be serve as I was in my work clothes. What kind of a pub refuses to serve an everyday working man. We are keeping the country running, this isn't Buckenham Palace. I make over 80K a year yet came here and feel like I have been treated like a low life or a homeless person. Would not recommend, rude staff too.

Went with my daughter and poor service from start to finish - feel like I had been robbed at £80 - too busy for me to pay bill ! threatened to walk out so I could get my bus then had some Irish manger chase me a s a woman because I dared to complain ?! don’t worry we won’t be back

I had a soft drink before the lunch time on a Sunday, It would have been nice if one of the staff offered me a food menu to browse. I might have considered having a lunch. At least it was relatively quiet while I was there.

It's a while since I ate here but a friend wanted to go. I asked for tea with plant based milk but there was none. I asked for green tea but there was none. No other herbal teas either so I had to settle for a black tea. I wanted a vegan meal but the choice was poor. Years ago there had been a vegan menu but that had gone. I made do with jacket potato and beans without butter. We sat outside and put the parasol up. It didn't sit in it's base properly and tilted over. It became dangerous so we asked to have it removed. I feel that people wanting to eat plant based food are not welcome at the New Inn. I've always felt like that.

I've reviewed the New Inn before, so this is quick one with regard to a recent meal this month. The restaurant area is very airy and relaxing whether for a drink, meal or both and the seating consists of a distinct restaurant area but with a less formal relaxation area in the same room with softer furnishings and no cutlery set out on the tables. We both ordered the "Steak Frites" which consisted of Sliced Steak, Fries with Rocket Parmesan Salad and Chimichurri Sauce. One was cooked well done, the other medium rare. They were thoroughly enjoyed and well executed. Highly recommend. The bar staff are always polite and welcoming, and Michael is always ready to serve me with a cold beer. Well done, keep up the good work, staff and chef.

Today we had lunch here and we all done our orders and continued to chat amongst ourselves and then the food started to come out except for mine as I was told that it wasn't on the same ticket so I was told it would be 5 minutes but that went and by the time my lunch came out Everyone had finished there's, The waitress was apologetic but the owner didn't even bother to come over instead stood in the corner talking to other customers when he should have asked the kitchen why the lateness? But never did that's terrible and we wasn't going to come back here after the last time when the owner of the company had cold fish and our friend got the Wrong Burger ended up with something else and the desert was also late out for 2 of the guests so we all decided that we would not come back to your establishment for lunch and business meetings and will opt for The George in Hayes and that's why you got a poor review and rating.

Our four person party entered this venue today and our Mauritian family member was refused service stating he was not adhering to ‘dress code policy’. He was in a shirt and top man trousers which the barman said was not acceptable as he classed them as jogging bottoms. Security explained to us that the trousers were not jogging bottoms so this was conflicting information. The same barman was happy to serve a white person in jogging shorts which when we challenged, he failed to provide any rationale as to why this was deemed appropriate. All that was said is he decides who is served. As a white person I was totally taken back and disgusted by how our family member was treated. This is clearly a theme in the new inn having seen previous reviews detailing similar treatment of others of colour. As a member of hayes community I will not be visiting this establishment ever again, I’ll be advocating to others not to step foot in this place. Appalling.

Bar staff wouldn't serve my friend because he had a bit of paint on his shorts. 3pm on a hot weekday afternoon. Barman states we son't serve people in work clothes here. My mate had changed his t-shirt to a clean white top before entering. Riddiculous.

Large building that must cost a fortune to run. Always open with decent service drinks and food. Reliable, aldis open. Good local asset.

Had a really pleasant visit here on Saturday. From the outside it is not much to look at but the inside is very homely and welcoming. Drinks were really good and it’s an added bonus that they do two for one cocktails! The barman (Michael) had some good banter and gave us some great recommendations. Looking forward to coming back on a sunnier day.

We have normally enjoyed meals at New Inn, Hayes, but we went this week, and it was awful. I ordered half rack ribs, which, when served up, was so enormous, and so raw looking, it looked as if it had just come off the butcher’s hook. If the appearance wasn’t bad enough, I had to saw through the meat with a steak knife. Two mouthfuls and I gave up. The worst ribs I’ve EVER had. They didn’t charge for my meal, but I ended up with a few chips and side salad for dinner. We won’t go again. Incidentally we noticed there were very, very few diners. Has it changed hands? Awful, just awful. My husband’s fish and chips wasn’t great either.

Drinks with friends here. Good atmosphere and busy for a Monday. Didn't eat but there were plenty of people dining. Good choice of beers.

Fantastic service, lovely food and great atmosphere. This place is absolutely stunning inside and the service was outstanding. Has a lovely mix of class but feeling homely at the same time. Can’t wait to come back!

Had a large family lunch here on the Bank Holiday Sunday. We were excited to be here as heard great reviews about the roasts. Unfortunately the roast lamb was so tough & gristly that you couldn’t cut or eat it. The Yorkshire puddings were so overcooked and just crumbled when you cut into them and the roast potatoes appeared to be boiled instead of roasted. Very disappointing however they did acknowledge how bad the food was and took the equivalent of 2 roasts off our bill. Then on sitting outside on the upper level, a gust of wind lifted the top section of the umbrella which blew down to the tables below narrowly missing 2 customers. It turns out that our umbrella not only didn’t have a weight at the bottom but wasn’t clicked in and therefore secured. This is a huge health & safety concern but none of the staff were particularly interested. They just sent someone outside to put the umbrellas down. No-one asked us any questions about what happened, how it happened etc. Again very disappointing. We hope that the issues with the umbrellas have been looked into so no-one else is at risk of being injured. Won’t be rushing back I’m afraid.

We've been quite a few times in the past and really enjoyed it but this time I was very disappointed. The food was mediocre and we waited over an hour even though it wasn't busy at the time. One of us chose the half rack of pork which was an obscene size (totally unnecessary and wasteful) and the rest of the menu was attempting to be "cordon bleu" but serving things in pans and boards doesn't cut it! Service was extremely slow but there was only one waitress. Don't bother if you're vegan! I don't know if it's changed hands but 2 stars feels generous!!!

Great pub, amazing location, delicious Sunday Roast and exceptional service by Greg! FYI, on the 1st floor, they have a reasonable amount of space for a big party/bday and so on, there is also a bar. I can guarantee that this place gets packed in the summertime as they have a massive terrace in the back and a couple of tables in the front too.

Killian (Cillian) is a great bar man serves a great pint. All the staff are really lovely and attentive. Renata always takes time to chat and make you feel welcome. The bouncers are very courteous and always check in to see you are ok. 10/10

Roast dinner served on a desert plate, absolutely shocking

Ordered battered fish & chips, was really bland, the fish was nearly orange looking & soggy. Very basic no peas or garnish or lemon slice. No thrills food!

The New Inn had been booked a wake for a friend. The staff we very helpful and the buffet was very good. The room was spacious and had a private bar.

My favourite place to be on a Friday night

Due to bad experiences elsewhere in tne past.. I wasn't expecting much, especially at 6pm on mother's day.. However we were totally surprised.The food and service were amazing . They had a set menu complete with a glass of pink prosceco but it all worked. There was even live music which added to the atmosphere. The food arrived piping hot . The staff were friendly and although they were very busy , they were smiling and not grumpy. Unlike some places.Thank you ALL for making it a special Mothers day meal. We can't wait to return.

Lovely venue for a drink or a meal. I had a drink. Good service in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Would just be nice to have a wider range of non-alcoholic beers.

Three of us came for lunch yesterday. My brother and I ordered the same starter, only one was brought out. He had to go and ask for his, which turned up 10 minutes later. It was supposed to be served with bread, which again we had to ask for. All of the mains did come out at the same time, however it took an age to produce a chocolate brownie. The food was fine, the service abysmal. Had a service charge been added to the bill we would not have paid it.

Attentive staff and efficient. Food always good. Was able to choose off menu a dish Id had there before. No fuss, chef was more than adaptable to offer alterative and waitress willing to check with the kitchen.

It was clean and warm. When we visited, we were the only people there.

Went on Xmas party been few years now. problem is at 10 pm every one from downstairs can join in to party upstairs full of guys basically..shame

Went for family lunch, food was good, service a little slow. I had to go and ask for more drinks on a few occasions rather than staff coming to the table to check.

Well turned out with tasteful decor. Good beer, had the London Pride on this occasion. Ate the sausage and mash which was a little disappointing as not enough sausage and was only luke warm. Friendly staff though. Have now been a second time. Food on this occasion was excellent. Had the steak fritze.

Bit quiet on a Monday, as to be expected, great food though. Good place for a bunch of blokes who just wanted to chat and catch up.

I no longer live in the area but visited this lovely restaurant on Oct 28th 2023 and seen how it has been transformed to a beautiful standard from years ago when I used to come here The food and service were excellent, lovely friendly staff, and I had an enjoyable time, I would highly recommend.

Good food and service, but the beer I was on ran out. Friday night disco is basically an over 40s meat market. Quite entertaining if you're not part of the market.

We had dinner for my father in laws 80th birthday last Saturday. Nothing was too much trouble from booking via email and the staff on site. . Food was amazing, and all came out together, no mean feat, considering there was 14 of us. Highly recommended.

First time for Sunday lunch in the New Inn. I went for the trio of meats and each one was very good indeed. No issues with the portion sizes or the quality of the side dishes. The service was very good and we had a nice circular ‘cubicle’ in the corner. Our chosen wines were very nice and reasonably priced. We had pudding and then took coffee out the front on the patio. The sun was out and made for a very enjoyable experience. Overall well worth its 5* on this occasion.

Three of us went for a birthday meal. The food was good but unfortunately the online menu was out of date so two options for me were not available. The waitress was very nice but forgot to give us drinks menus. We ended up having 241 cocktails which were great. I'll definitely go again.

Lovely staff and great food. A nice interior, but a bit loud for dinner on a Friday night. My fault, I should have investigated a little more.

Nice place to eat and found a good selection of food on offer. Quantity was generous as well. Unfortunately we picked a Sunday where some sort of club may have been football or cricket decided to descend and we’re a bit noisy and of course everyone else in the place increased their volume as well🤪

The burgers in here are delicious! My friend had the Prime Beef Burger and I had the Cajun Chicken Burger. We were both impressed with the size and quality of the food. The staff Renata and Sandra were both friendly and attentive to our needs and made our lunch experience feel great. We had the chocolate brownie and the triple sorbet for dessert and they were lovely. I would recommend this venue for both the food and the service.

We visit every Tuesday.....our table is always ready for us. Lauren is an excellent waitress and barmaid. Service with a smile and very chatty. Best pint of pride in the South East.

The New Inn is a good place to visit, the food is good and the beer is excellent. The service is particuarly good, especially Lauren.

A great place to meet with friends before going for a meal first class good service will be back.

I can not recommend this venue enough to hold a party. Hannah was amazing at communicating with us. The food was great! The venue is perfect for 80+ guests for a party. The staff were great, no was waiting too long to be served at the bar. 100% will be using this venue ago. Can't thank Hannah enough!

I had a magnificent luncheon experience at the New Inn. The food was fresh, delicious and tremendously presented. The environment was quiet and peaceful and we were treated with the utmost respect. The member of staff; who I believe was a lady named Renata catered for my every whim and she was extremely polite and professional. I must say she was highly skilled in customer service. If I were in the hospitality business myself I would most certainly attempt to entice her to work for me! I will definitely return soon.

Just had a very disappointing meal at The New Inn. I had pasta with prawns. Awful awful awful. About four tablespoons of penne pasta two or three tomatoes and four prawns all for £14.95. My mother ordered apple and cinnamon crumble £6.95. No cinnamon so asked the waitress and she came out with a pot of cinnamon powder!! I was with a group of people whose meals weren't much better. Gammon was extremely tough. Would not want to eat there again. Too expensive for rubbish food.

I have been hear before with family and it is a nice pub and garden.Today I had ploughman's lunch which had no salad,the smallest silver skin onions in a little pot,and a few crisps that looked like they were from the bottom of the bag.All served up on a wooden board.When I tried to explain to the staff they didn't seem to understand what I was trying to point out to them.Infact said what did I want them to do? I asked to speak to a Manager but they said there wasn't one in there today.After that asked me if I wanted free drinks to which I sad no then said do you want a refund. Amazing they didn't make any effort to put things wright or even apologise just to say that they are short of staff etc. So a refund was given for three ploughman's lunches.🤔 What a shame we went home hungry. 🤪

Used to love this place on a Friday night as it had a more mature clientele. Now it’s like a school disco with many definitely underage. I think they may have reduced the age to 21+ but someone I spoke to was 17! Such a shame as the music is great with the dj playing older dance tunes (as long as they don’t have the awful bongo player there!). Used to be packed when it was an older crowd. Such a shame.

We had a great experience when we hired out the function room for our party. Hannah was very accommodating and everything went as planned. Venue you was perfect and the staff on the night were great too. I would definitely recommend.

Came in on a rainy Sunday night as the real ale pub nearby was closed. Big barn of a place. Decent pint of Guinness.

We booked the function room for a wake/celebration of my mums life. The manager and staff were brilliant. Very helpful. Later they found us a table to eat at, in the middle of a very busy Sunday service. The choice of food and drinks were great. The quality of the food outstanding. What might have been a very somber day was made very special and memorable for all the right reasons for my family by the wonderful manager and his brilliant professional team. Thanks guys.

We hired the function room above the pub for a ‘Celebration of Life’ for my Mother, the room was spacious & welcoming absolute ideal, thank you.

Had squid to start and for 9£ I was expecting a decent portion. 5 calamari rings is what I was served. Very disappointing for a place I use to rate so highly. Will not be eating here again. Took a long time for out plates to be cleared. I had to get up and go to the bar to ask to pay. Very poor

Felt like I was being taken back in time. Such a beautiful place inside and out. Rooms are very spacious and comfy. The food is really nice and is reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say is that the carpets in the room need a clean. Apart from that, I would most definitely 💯 stay again and would recommend.

Wouldn't rate the food. Limited menu and value for money not great. Odd combination put together. If you love a dessert, this is not the place for you.

What a great time all our friends and family had at our reception at the New Inn 30/6/2023. Hats off to all the staff who looked after us, special thanks to Martin, Hannah and Joey. The food was excellent, thanks Shanna, the touch of Caribbean went down really well! Great value for money too!! Would highly recommend to anyone. I had my wedding party in the Function Room at the New Inn in June 2023, it was the most perfect venue, its absolutely stunning!! I cannot recommend this venue highly enough, the staff were fantastic, from the booking, planning and serving drinks, everything was just perfect. If you're looking for a party venue you won't find any better than the New Inn!! :-)

It’s a shambles. They advertise 2 4 1 cocktails on a Friday. I wanted 2 different cocktails and was told I had to have the same. Fine no worries. Was then told I had more money than sense. It took 20 mins to make a pina colada and an espresso martini. The pina colada was undrinkable. First time I’ve been here in a while - I won’t be returning
