This spots is great for loving meals. Food was fresh and they had a vegan option. Servise was great. We had unlimited drinks tea and coffee was good value for the money.

There wasnt a good choice of food. The Hash browns were mushy and the beans watery. The sausages were amazing and very tasty

Breakfast was OK, and on the whole was OK value. However, some of the plates weren't clean, so obviously just made sure I picked up a clean one. However, not happy with the attitude of one of the members of staff. I went up to the servery for pancakes which had just been put out. Unfortunately, the person who'd put them out hadn't left anything to pick them up with. So I left it a few minutes to see if anyone came back out to sort it, but no one did. So I said 'hello' , hoping someone in the kitchens would hear and come out, but without success. So said it a few more times (obviously in a raised voice hoping someone would hear, (but certainly not shouty) but still no response. Eventually a young lady came out to do something else, and I managed to get her attention and she put out the serving tongs. Just after that an older woman with her hair in a bun came out and said 'who was it that was screaming at me to come out'. I replied that it had now been sorted, and that I hadn't been 'screaming' at anyone, I'd just said hello in a raised voice so that someone in the back could hopefully hear me. She said that they were very busy in the kitchen, so they couldn't just come out when someone was 'screaming' at them. I didn't go there to get into an altercation with someone, I went just to have a breakfast with my adult son, and I didn't appreciate her accusatory tone and her rudeness. I realise she may well have been busy, but clearly she did hear me and chose to ignore me for quite some time. Great customer service (not). She was definitely out of order to be so rude and created a nasty situation without provocation. My son wanted to make a complaint there and then, but I said leave it, as I didn't want to spoil our breakfast any more than she'd already spoiled it, and I doubt if the woman concerned would have admitted she was in the wrong anyway. There were another couple of customers at the servery when it happened and one of them said 'don't let her get to you, just ignore her' as he could see I was upset. What a pity Toby Carvery have to rely on people like that to serve in their restaurant.

Cosy and plenty to eat. Nice service from Jill. Clean table. Always lots of choice of items in the roast carvery section.

Revisited the toby carvery romford for the 2nd time in as many weeks, the food was delicious as always and the service from Stevie-Leigh was very professional and welcoming, see you next week 👍🏻

Every time I come for breakfast at Romford Toby on Sundays, Joy is always there to greet us with a warm welcoming smile and hello. Don’t get that much anymore so it’s very welcome

I had a great buffet breakfast this morning with a great choice of freshly cooked items, as well as toast and inclusive coffee and tea, all for a great price of £9.49! Joy gave me an excellent customer service with a warm and friendly smile. I would highly recommend when visiting Romford.

Our recent visit to this restaurant, which has been a frequent choice for us, was marred by an appalling experience this past Sunday. My family and I were subjected to racism and rude behavior by two individuals who were purportedly managers on duty that day....

This is a great spot for a lunch or dinner. We came for lunch and were seated right away without any reservation. All meats and sides were fresh and tasty. Staff is really nice and welcoming especially Stevie (our waitress).

Chef was very slow then had to wait about 10 minutes for gravy, no cutlery in the tables hadto ask for it, one woman said she waited 25 minutes for her sandwich. Very poor today

Do yourself a favor and don't bother its up there with one of the worst meals I've had out and I wasn't expecting much. Rock hard potatoes, limited selection of veg that you had to wait around for, chef was rude, meat was served with mainly fat and flat Yorkshire puddings. Toilets are disgusting. Main restaurant area is a mess. Had to go to the bar because there wasn't any service that I could see. Displayed produce was rotten. Pluses: The mash and the gravy was good.

I was served at Toby Carvery Romford by Lee and he was very attentive and polite. Having a waiter like him makes the experience more enjoyable so thank you Lee.

We have been to plenty of Toby carvery’s and the one at Romford Brewery was the worst one we have ever been to the potatoes sausage’s and Mac and cheese were over cooked the service was terrible had to wait 10 minutes for mash potatoes and Mac and cheese and they run out of Lamb very disappointed
