The best restaurants serving British food in Cambridge East of England

Visited for a day out and fancied a little snack before heading home when we stumbled upon the hallouman! Great customer service, friendly, exceptionally clean. A decent amount of halloumi for a very reasonable price. Incredibly delicious, definitely recommend!

We came to The Swoop for a cocktail masterclass. Fiona was amazing, a real laugh and her cocktails were so good. You could tell she had a real passion for what she did and we learnt so much as well as had a good time. Miles was also superb and did some more cocktails for us after. The fact everything was locally sourced was even better. I ended up buying everything to make one of Fiona's signature creations. We'll definitely be back and I highly recommend a class at The Swoop, or if you want some local alcohol as a gift or for yourself, you must check the shop out

Este no es el restaurante más fácil de reservar - las mesas se liberan con un mes de antelación el primer martes del mes anterior y pagas la totalidad de tu reserva - así que, ¿por qué molestarte? El menú degustación es excelente - cada plato es una delicada pieza de arte llena de sabor, el servicio fue amable y eficiente y toda la noche fue muy bien ritmo. Muy recomendable.

La comida era increíble. Todos tuvimos el ajo salvaje y sopa de patatas que era impresionante. Para la principal teníamos el suflé de queso con eglefino y el plato de filete. Todo lo cual fue perfecto. El personal era atento, me encantó la coordinación de los trajes! La decoración era preciosa también. Simple y francés. Definitivamente volveré para el menú de la noche pronto. Magnífico 👍🏼

The steaks and fish were very delicious, as were the appetizers. I will try black cod and wagyu next time, but you need to book in advance.

The Elm Tree is a North Star of great selection, wide acceptance, and small wallets. Great bar tender, great beer, and great aesthetic.

The main chamber and debate room were beautiful, I went to an astronomy lecture here. The architecture and design and decorating of the place was beautiful with all original portraits and stuff on display, the library was also amazing! Only thing is the staff had no idea what they were doing...

I had pizza in Salisbury Arms and it taste amazing! The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff served the food and drink very quickly.

Good service and food British is beyond above standard.

The beer is award winning and the burger and fries made by chef Harry was better than Five Guys! Highly recommend a trip to the chestnut tree!

This was an amazing find one summer and now I always try them out whenever I find them. There are a fantastic variety of flavours - my favorite is the black pudding one - all crispy coating and lovely soft egg,,,,mmmm

We were looking for an overnight near Cambridge and came across the Blackhorse in Swaffham. We also had diner that was fresh fish and well cooked.

Fantastic Burger….best I’ve had for years…I had the normal thicker burger which was pink inside and melted in the mouth…my wife had a smash burger as she can’t eat medium or pink beef and it was also really good….nice Hazy ipa on draughty as well !

Best food I've had, taste, smell, looks wise. Service is brilliant, great prices and lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend!
