Visited for a day out and fancied a little snack before heading home when we stumbled upon the hallouman! Great customer service, friendly, exceptionally clean. A decent amount of halloumi for a very reasonable price. Incredibly delicious, definitely recommend!

A hidden gem indeed. Street food is often ridiculously overpriced, this was not. The price was fair, with a large portion perfect for sharing between two. I ordered the loaded fries which were great quality and freshly prepared quickly. Presentation was also immaculate considering the speed in which the food was made.

Small stall, with just 3-4 dishes with very well balanced flavor combinations and excellent quality ingredients. We had the sourdough bun and it was absolutely delicious. The owner is a charming gentleman who puts a lot of love into his job. Well done Hallouman!

We needed a late dinner one night in Cambridge. The Lionesses (England’s women’s soccer team) were playing in the final of the European Cup (they won). No one was interested in cooking food for visitors, either eat in or take out. However, Halloumen was still open in the Market Square. We had a delicious, substantial wrap, full of perfectly grilled meat and fresh vegetables. There was so much filling, we couldn’t get the wraps to close, so we ate them with knives and forks. Outstanding value from a hardworking proprietor.

We had the burger, the fries and the tacos, they all tasted delicious and were incredibly well balanced. The tacos were the highlight - the perfect blend of savoury, spicy, fresh and sour. The mole sauce was inspired. Will become a weekly treat for me.

We had spotted Hallouman before and this time found him to try his food. U had the sticks and my partner had the burger both of which were amazingly good. Had a lovely conversation with the owner while he attentively prepared our food. Everything on his menu sound delicious so we will be back to try a different Halloumi dish very soon.

We’ve been here twice now and the halloumi fries are amazing! Would also recommend the panzanella salad. He moves about the market week by week but is well worth seeking out. Owner is extremely friendly as well, highly recommended!

We came to The Swoop for a cocktail masterclass. Fiona was amazing, a real laugh and her cocktails were so good. You could tell she had a real passion for what she did and we learnt so much as well as had a good time. Miles was also superb and did some more cocktails for us after. The fact everything was locally sourced was even better. I ended up buying everything to make one of Fiona's signature creations. We'll definitely be back and I highly recommend a class at The Swoop, or if you want some local alcohol as a gift or for yourself, you must check the shop out

Vanderlyle is a remarkable restaurant that truly excels in its approach to fine dining, focusing on regional ingredients sourced directly from local farmers. This commitment not only enhances the flavor of each dish but also supports sustainability, a core value of the establishment. The creative vegetarian tasting menu showcases seasonal produce, fulfilling all essential criteria for a Michelin recommendation. In comparison, Cookies Cream in Berlin offers a delightful vegetarian experience but lacks Vanderlyle's unique emphasis on local sourcing and sustainability. Vanderlyle's innovative dishes and attentive service make it a standout choice for any food enthusiast.

I came here for lunch, excited to try French cuisine with my family, but left feeling insulted and unwelcome. Our server, Callum, was condescending throughout. When I mentioned the white wine was “actually good,” he sneered, “Actually?”—as if I should grovel over every bottle he opens just because it’s wine. Sorry, but I have a refined palate - know my preference and don’t like every wine just for its origin. The food was mediocre and certainly not worth £172. The whole experience felt like we didn’t belong—maybe because we didn’t fit their usual (white) crowd. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The best pub in Cambridge and the best steak I've had in a long time. A comfortable and welcoming environment with exceptional service from Jack. We will be returning.

Canadian Style Didn't expect 'Poutine' means meat and chips in gravy at all. We always thought it charges extra because it's a ciabatta sandwich with chips as a side. I should have read the reviews before coming, my bad. The sandwich is okay. At least it's a hot sandwich. But the pork cracking was a bit too hard for teeth. I strongly suggest you biting it really slow, you know, Canadians' way. The Poutine is very salty. The chips became very soggy because of the salty gravy. We failed to finish the dish. Not sure about this Canadian style. But the service was good. Clean environment. Price was reasonable in Cambridge town centre.
