The Salisbury Arms in Cambridge

We went to have lunch to get gluten free pizzas, as advertised in their menu. However, they had ran out of the base pizzas. We found that very disappointing, as we couldn't enjoy the lunch we had booked for. I think this type of mistake is so easily fixable, just stock enough gluten free pizza bases, that a review was necessary so that this doesn't happen again in the future. Please, stock properly for your celiac clients. Thank you. EDIT: After returning to the premises we had a wonderful lunch. Thank you for inviting us to return.

Pizzas are great and the Monday BOGOF was a nice edition. Was kid friendly and the kids menu was great too.

Great pizza, good value (on a Monday)

Nice place. The pizzas are delicious. Good range of beers. About 5 mins walk from the station, and 5 mins walk from Mill Road. Great location.

Had a lovely pre Christmas drinks, Gem was amazing and provided superb service. Really great place if you want good, chilled vibes. Plus food is amazing! Great value for money!

Really love this place; however, it’s starting to become a lot more chaotic when it’s comes to organisation. We had booked a table for 2, but there didn’t seem to be a system in place for the reservations when we arrived. Bar staff + waiting staff were extremely busy, and there didn’t seem to be anyone available who had an idea about the reserved table/availability of tables. Luckily my partner and I found an empty table, but it was a free for all. Still love the place so the 4/5 stars, but was a little disappointed.

Salisbury Arms is the business for a good authentic pub atmosphere. Gem was superb as were the other staff Merry 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 The Kissing Duck were a superb band 💃🕺

Not many pubs can be the ideal setting in both summer AND winter, but the Salisbury aces both. Impeccable atmosphere, incredible staff, infallible music taste 👌

Seats are limited but the food and service are amazing!

We had our team Christmas jolly at the Salisbury Arms and it was a lovely night! The service was brilliant, Abhi and the team were really accommodating. The table was set beautifully, the food was delicious, the chefs friendly and effective. The pub has a great atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable, and kindly accommodated the two extra joiners and the 6-month old that also attended. Thank you for having us!

Very special pub. Visited for the 1st time last night and it really is everything you could want from a pub. Thanks to Alice the Manager for her fantastic hospitality & the rest of the team. They found us a table at short notice and providing us with great reassurance for a nut allergy. Everyone needs to go check out the pub. It’s just got IT!

Top points for the ambience, service and the drinks. Loved the gluten free pizza and the pancakes. Didn’t like the chicken wings it could be a personal preference. Shame didn’t take a pic of the pizza. Will definitely visit again to try the rest of the menu. Thanks for the lovely service!!

Such amazing food, staff are the nicest I’ve seen in any establishment, overall 10/10 place to be. One of the chefs called Charlie was one of the nicest people to interact with

Cambridge's premier pizza pub! Definitely better than your average pub pizza at food prices.

Hot drinks were warm at best, otherwise really good, pizzas were very tasty.

First time we went to this beautiful pub but for sure will not be the last. Incredibly tasty food (we heard a lot about it before going), but somehow was even better! Friendly staff who are professionals. Amazing vibes!

The new Sunday roasts are lovely - the seasoning is spectacular, and the potatoes were a particular highlight. I also recommend the pizzas, any day of the week.

Destroyed a delicious Sunday roast at the Sal. Their pizzas are always on point but roast was a delicious surprise. Well seasoned, well cooked, great portion size. Will definitely be back for more. Drink selection is great. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Staff and service are excellent.

Salisbury Arms has never failed to show us a great time. I took my family when they were visiting and they loved it as well. Amazing food, great drinks, servers/bartenders/chefs are all wonderful. Highly recommend for a pint and a pizza!

Had pepperoni pizza and it was super scrumptious. Buy 1 get 1 free on Monday but not sure hubby's will make it home. Staff were super warm and welcoming

The Salisbury Arms is a firm favourite. From it's gorgeous flavoursome pizzas to the cold pints it's a go to for good atmosphere and food. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Somewhere I would recommend to all x

Excellent choices, great value. The new Brutus pizza sando from the Lazy Lunch menu with drink and tater tots was really tasty - thoroughly recommend. Even though they were busy and had a big online order come in - we were served within the time given. Very impressed.

First visit here for some years! Bao buns + pizza + beer* + Tuesday night quiz = excellent. Thanks to the friendly staff too. (*Can especially recommend Tiny Spark IPA, one of the best 0.5% beers I've had. Great to have an actual pint from an actual barrel rather than a bottle or can 😊)

Fabulous pub! first time here (recommended by a friend) and won't be the last. Delicious food at great prices, amazing service (shout out to Jem) and we were warmly welcomed by Alice the manager. The atmosphere made us want to stay all night... lovely chilled and friendly people, great music, the best beers and dog friendly....what more could we want?

I love this pub and visit regularly, the staff are so friendly and always dote on my two rescue dogs who come along with me. I am gluten free and they are always so accommodating and mindful of my intolerance. There are really good gluten free options and the Salisbury’s gluten free pizza base is the best I’ve had anywhere. I visited this week to try out the new menu, I was really impressed with the new selection of food. There are now so many vegan options which is perfect for me as a vegetarian, and there are some really interesting sounding dishes for meat eaters too. My friend had the £8 lunch deal, she was very impressed and felt that the deal was very good value especially now it includes a side of tater tots. The pub always has lovely vibes and a cracking playlist playing, we love the beer garden which has recently been done up with some funky benches. Super special place that I highly recommend. Came last night and enjoyed a selection of dishes including multiple vegetarian options which were great! It was very friendly and cosy, the atmosphere was very inviting and I would definitely recommend it!

It was my first time trying the new lunch deal and I was blown away. It’s an absolute bargain and the pizza sandwiches are fresh and hearty, and the tater tots herby. I’m also a big fan of the Supernova lager which is a must try. This pub is definitely a go to for anyone getting lunch or needing somewhere for evening drinks.

Came for lunch today, food tasted great and came very quickly. All the members of staff were very kind and polite and we were able to watch our food be made by the chef (Janusz). Was great value for money with the lunch deal, would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Brilliant staff, amazing food. Kitchen staff and pizza oven absolutely fantastic.

We went every week for the pizza lunch offer, but not anymore. To start with, it's not a pizza anymore, but some kind of pita. Then there are no vegetarian options to choose from anymore (last week there were at least three), and to top it all, the price went up from £6 to £8. Sorry, but that's a 30% price increase from one week to the next, while the national inflation rate is 2%. Where are the additional 28% coming from?

Great place for groups or a nice drink. Still leading with their pizzas and pizza deals which are fresh, tasty and hard to beat. There is a good selection at the bar and plenty of seating. Wroth dropping by.

This pub surely has to be one of the back street gems in Cambridge for real ale. A choice of 4 on offer very reasonably priced and in excellent condition. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The pub was very clean and had a very pleasant chilled out vibe. Would certainly recommend.

Came here to celebrate my graduation and was treated so wonderfully by all the staff. Our pizzas were so tasty and drinks really quenched our thirst after a long ceremony. I would recommend the Salisbury to anyone living in or visiting Cambridge!

Pizza is clearly their specialty as I got the Zesty Bird which had overcooked chicken and overly acidic salad. However, the free vegan pizza we received (due to an accident) was really good for vegan food. The pizzas my friends got also looked really good. The atmosphere was cozy and the deco is really cool and stylish. Wouldn’t come back for food, but would for drinks.

Good pizza’s and a fair choice of ales but do not like the contactless payment option. Every time I go to pay for a couple of pints there is now an option to add a tip. Off course you can always decline but it seems unnecessary and intrusive.

Honestly one of the best pubs in Cambridge! Perfectly located, is nestled between charming streets near the station and the buzz of mill road. The drinks and food are incredible but the staff are even better! If you’re lucky you might get to meet the lovely pub dogs, Boë and Clover! Will be back again x

Came for Sunday lunch as advertised on their website. Staff told us that unfortunately the website is not up to date and they are unable to do anything because they don’t have the ability to update it. We ended up having pizza which was excellent. The service was also really good. We really enjoyed our lunch.

After many attempts I finally found my favorite pizza in Cambridge. Since I visit Cambridge relatively often this has been a challenge but now I know where to go! On top of that the beer is also well above Cambridge average.
