Went here to celebrate my mum's birthday and we had the best time. Our server was incredible and very funny (I think his name was Nick but not 100% sure). We had the lamb roast and it was honestly delicious. Lovely desserts too and an all round good experience. We will definitely be returning to try the other options on the menu. Lovely setting too by the river in Cambridge.

A unique dining experience in a stunning location. The pub is on the canal at the edge of a park and has a large wooden mill wheel still in operation. The food is gastropub / restaurant level quality and frankly delicious. Looking forward to returning for a Sunday roast, or dinner a Rather than just lunch.

Dining Club Meal Friday 25 April 2025 The Father and Daughter hosted this Dining Club Meal, as they had eaten here before, and my sister and myself came here for the first time, we knew where the venue was. When we arrived, (we were late, and it was my fault) we saw our hosts already seated, and waiting for the guests to arrive, we looked at the Drinks Menu, and ordered our drinks, three ginger beers, for the Father, my sister and myself, and a Diet Coke for the Daughter, and afterwards we ordered our Starters. My sister, myself, and the Daughter had buttermilk Crispy Squid with confit garlic and lemon mayo, and the Father had Mint and Pea Soup. For the Mains my sister, myself, and the Daughter had lemon sole with new potatoes, seasonal greens, and caviar lemon butter sauce, and the Father had roasted lamb rump, with pea puree, dauphinoise potatoes, spring greens, leeks and peas, with more drinks, three bottles of ginger beer, for myself and the Father, and two glasses of Alcohol free Guiness for my sister and the Daughter. For the Dessert, I had two scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream, and my sister, and the Daughter had Apple and Rhubarb Crumble in a Yorkshire Pudding with ginger ice cream, and the Father had Passion fruit Tart, with mango gel and prosecco sorbet. Both the food and the service were very good, I have to mention the waitress Eleonora from Argentina, and the waiter Alec, and we would come back here again, recommended.

Disappointing Sunday roast. Very fatty meat, potatoes barely roasted and hardly any gravy which made eating the yorkshire pudding unpleasant. In and out in 30 mins even though not busy so felt very rushed.

First of all the food was good, shout out to the chef! But we didn't book a table so we walked-in, the staff told us to leave as there is no table available. Then we decided to seat outside on that cold windy gloomy day (our fault). We went in and out of the restaurant for orders or toilet and there were at least 5 empty tables thru out the whole time while we were there... So it's weird and not accommodating. Anyway worth to go for the food, but remember to book in advance.

Great restaurant with a great ambience and location, worth a visit. The drinks and dessert were excellent, and the service staff was wonderful. My only remark is about the food: the steak labeled as 'picanha' didn’t quite meet the Brazilian standard, but as a regular dinner steak, it was still enjoyable.

Great service and nice place to relax with friends. The tables are timed and customers are advised of the remaining time they have left when placing orders for deserts and drinks. We went here on Saturday for a 40th birthday with friends. We were a party of four adults and five children. We chose Millworks based on past experience and we're quite surprised to see a much more limited menu than when we last visited. However, we weren't going to let that put us off! Overall the food was excellent bar some aggressively salty fries but what really made the night was the excellent service from our server Ellie. At times the food was quite slow (we were a large party but it became more difficult to keep five kids in check when there's an hour's wait for their food to come out) but Ellie was excellent at making sure we were well looked after during our wait.

Couldn't have had a better experience. We've been in UK for almost a year and this is possibly the first meal out where the price, portions, taste, atmosphere, service, and presentation would prompt me to figure that they could have charged more for what we had. We came for lunch on a Saturday. My wife had the beetroot salad which was certifiably amazing! The slight honey in the dressing sent the mix of flavors over the top. The feta was not overpowering and added a cream-dimension with the fibrous and earthy salad leaf. The small chopped beetroot was wonderful as was the couscous on the bottom of the bowl. Size of portion was spot on. I had the Millworks Grazer plate which was similarly spot on portion. The pork was flavorful with a small portion of pickled cabbage below that added a tart-to-the-sweeter glaze on the pork. Fat-to-meat ratio on the pork was quite nice as well. The plate had a stack of buttermilk covered calamari. The breaded-to-meat coverage was not-too-thick such to allow a fried crunch and then squishy texture of the actual squid flesh. The buttermilk coverage added a dimension over the basic-breaded and fried calamari. The calamari was drizzled with a sauce which I can't remember but was lovely. Also on the plate were some stuffed red peppers which were nicely placed on the plate and true to form with the other things were tasty and prepped with clear-care for flavor. The salad on the Grazer plate had large, lovely green olives, shrubbery-type lettuce leaf that allows breadth and depth of flavor, and a few sliced grape tomatoes. Each plate we had provided a wonderful medley of flavors that pleased and left us knowing we will return for a dinner soon. Rarely have I contemplated I would pay more than is charged for a plate. And, for the plates we had comparative to the flavor and portions, I would have paid more (and I'm stingy and frugal). We also decided to have a dessert which we rarely do. The dessert was very pricey (£18) and was titled Rapture Rupture. This thing was giant (seemingly too much for 2 people). My wife only ate 1/4 of it and I was not willing to walk away without finishing it. I'm usually a sole-fan of dark chocolate and coffee ice creams. This had a mix of flavors and textures and blended well enough that I wanted to finish it as opposed to barely getting it done. All in all probably the best experience with food I've had here in UK.

Came for a quick lunch on a busy Sunday and because we were struggling for time we went straight to mains and ordered Picanha steak and the Ribeye with sides. Lady who was serving us said that it wouldn’t be possible to get these cuts with Yorkshire puddings and veggies as the chef didn’t like to make changes, which was fair enough so we ordered some sides to go with it instead. The food came out really quickly, which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. The ribeye steak, which was done to medium rare, was tough and chewy and would definitely not recommend it. Overall, the atmosphere and service were very good, but food simply not to scratch. We have tried food here few times before but it has always left us a bit disappointed. On top of that, they brought the wrong drinks. The food was nothing special. No much flavour in the hummus or the chicken shawarma. The flat bread looked good but tasted like cheap bread from a supermarket. I won't recommend this place.

Cute place in a great location. Came on a nice summer's day for a meal outside, which was lovely right by the water with ample opportunities for people watching. Staff was friendly and funny. I had the Lamb Rump which was good but not great, some of the other items on the menu look like maybe they could be better!

Great vibe with touristy priced food and New York street style service. We won't be a tourist next time.

Good food and service but didn’t expect to pay a 12.5% service fee. Not sure if that’s only for patrons from the US? Nick our server deserved it so I didn’t question it.

Really great location, lovely food but central London prices. Blackadder playing over speakers in the toilet made for a more pleasant experience!

Average at most. Ok food but overpriced. Similar to an American restaurant in terms of price/quality ratio. We had to choose from a two courses menu ; many options were not available. I waited to get a specific dessert which we learned afterwards was not available and then still had to pay the full price. Long waiting time (to get water, etc) and personnel so-so friendly. Would avoid although the waterwheel is an interesting feature. Had to pay 12.5% charge on top.

Visited for a coffee in the afternoon, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The coffee tasted great. Worth to check the record store downstairs.

first time in cambridge and genuinely the nicest pub i’ve ever visited. the staff were super helpful and friendly and the vibes inside and outside are impeccable. the garden space is small but gets the sun just perfectly. they even had a gluten free pizza base that was surprisingly tasty!! 2-4-1 pizzas on a monday so ended up being super affordable. ashley behind the bar was the sweetest most wholesome person ever and gave us recommendations for pubs/clubs to visit and 10/10 service so thank you ashley !! such a cute location and pub you must visit !!
