We came to The Swoop for a cocktail masterclass. Fiona was amazing, a real laugh and her cocktails were so good. You could tell she had a real passion for what she did and we learnt so much as well as had a good time. Miles was also superb and did some more cocktails for us after. The fact everything was locally sourced was even better. I ended up buying everything to make one of Fiona's signature creations. We'll definitely be back and I highly recommend a class at The Swoop, or if you want some local alcohol as a gift or for yourself, you must check the shop out

What a fantastic experience! During the class Fiona, the mixologist, show us how to create 3 different cocktails that were so easy to make but really delicious. We were taught proper pouring techniques, shaking and mixing. I couldn’t recommend this masterclass more! After the class we stayed for lunch and had a lovely cheese board with fantastic fresh sourdough bread, and a wonderful croque monsieur. You can also purchase a variety of wines, and spirits to make your own cocktails at home.

The cocktail masterclass at The swoop is such a great experience! I learned how to make 3 delicious cocktails, how to shake, stir, pour and garnish them with stunning fruit decorations. The mixologist was so knowledgeable and cool and told us lots of interesting things about the liquors and the other ingredients used for the cocktails. I went with my husband and we had a lot of fun, but it’s a cool experience to do with a small group of friends too.

We had a wonderful time doing the cocktail making class with Fiona who was so knowledgeable, and helped make the whole experience really fun and light hearted. Would throughly recommend for anyone wanting a great activity in Cambridge. We went as a pair which worked perfectly, but they also cater for larger groups which I’m sure would be just as enjoyable!

We attended the cocktail masterclass. You get to make 3 cocktails over the space of roughly an hour. Fiona, our mixologist, was extremely informative and created a fun atmosphere. The cocktail class is held in a room below the main shop floor. The decor throughout the shop is really nice. We thought £35 per person was incredibly reasonable. Would thoroughly recommend!

Vanderlyle is a remarkable restaurant that truly excels in its approach to fine dining, focusing on regional ingredients sourced directly from local farmers. This commitment not only enhances the flavor of each dish but also supports sustainability, a core value of the establishment. The creative vegetarian tasting menu showcases seasonal produce, fulfilling all essential criteria for a Michelin recommendation. In comparison, Cookies Cream in Berlin offers a delightful vegetarian experience but lacks Vanderlyle's unique emphasis on local sourcing and sustainability. Vanderlyle's innovative dishes and attentive service make it a standout choice for any food enthusiast.

I came here for lunch, excited to try French cuisine with my family, but left feeling insulted and unwelcome. Our server, Callum, was condescending throughout. When I mentioned the white wine was “actually good,” he sneered, “Actually?”—as if I should grovel over every bottle he opens just because it’s wine. Sorry, but I have a refined palate - know my preference and don’t like every wine just for its origin. The food was mediocre and certainly not worth £172. The whole experience felt like we didn’t belong—maybe because we didn’t fit their usual (white) crowd. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Canadian Style Didn't expect 'Poutine' means meat and chips in gravy at all. We always thought it charges extra because it's a ciabatta sandwich with chips as a side. I should have read the reviews before coming, my bad. The sandwich is okay. At least it's a hot sandwich. But the pork cracking was a bit too hard for teeth. I strongly suggest you biting it really slow, you know, Canadians' way. The Poutine is very salty. The chips became very soggy because of the salty gravy. We failed to finish the dish. Not sure about this Canadian style. But the service was good. Clean environment. Price was reasonable in Cambridge town centre.

The best pub in Cambridge and the best steak I've had in a long time. A comfortable and welcoming environment with exceptional service from Jack. We will be returning.

The main chamber and debate room were beautiful, I went to an astronomy lecture here. The architecture and design and decorating of the place was beautiful with all original portraits and stuff on display, the library was also amazing! Only thing is the staff had no idea what they were doing...
