The food was of an excellent standard, we very much enjoyed our visit and shall return in future. Also, epic playlist. And Soylent Green is people.

Lovely food and servers Tina and Andrew are amazing, always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. Will definitely be a regular visitor. Great place to eat, lovely atmosphere too and right by the beach so you can also sit outside and enjoy the weather.

Well presented and clean, excellent food layout and staff member very helpful (nothing to much) for her to do to make our visit pleasant. Thank you Sharon for your assistance with heating up and getting our specials (poached eggs and heating croissants). Poor lady was only one on the front service due to other staff being off, but was very always polite and friendly.

Lovely family meal, food cooked to perfection , we had starters , main and deserts! Very good service by Dylan ,lovely evening had by all.

Couldnt find anywhere decent to eat, out with a friend and being half term everywhere was busy. We saw that this restaurant was not very busy inside, so decided to go in, we ordered a wrap each, but our food took ages to come to the table. I had lamb kebab wrap which sounded nice on the menu and my friend had prawns and avocado. Unfortunately the food although quite expensive had very little inside the wrap, the wrap was cold and doughy and the meat tasteless, my friend said her food was also tasteless. On the way to the toilet I passed the kitchen and noticed a chef lighting up a cigarette!! Will avoid in future...

Dinning experience very poor food very average my wife's food definitely not fresh this dish Fristo Misto used to be cooked fresh in tampora batter it's now uniform shapes probably cooked from frozen. My Burger the ultimate stack served in a bowl the combination of pulled pork with the burger in a bun the bun was so full of juice very unpleasant & the burger was very dense & had a Rubery feel in the mouth. The staff all busy the art of conversation is officially dead no dinning experience includes chat of any kind from staff. Everyone is in a hurry food that comes aut an alarming rate it's not unusual these days to be expected to eat three courses in an hour & and a half. Constant clearing up sweeping up all, making the atmosphere very unpleasant rushed. Kitchen closing, please hurry it ridiculous. These eating venues will not survive if they don't calm down & engage with the customer. The place was empty at 9.30. The last one we went to butt & oyster they were cashing up at 9.30. It's simple you don't make us feel like you want us to be there & we won't be careful what you wish for.

Went for breakfast. Dry food. Dirty plates. No tea bags Visited for a breakfast before flying out of Stansted. Was about 10 am. We thought as it’s TC we knew what we were getting hence the choice. The staff were less than welcoming. We felt more of an inconvenience. The plates were dirty . Lots of them in the piles left for us by the servery. Presume a problem with the dishwasher. When and many others mentioned it they seemed irritated they needed to get clean ones. The food was ok. But a bit overcooked. Which was a shame as there were lots of customers in there so not sure why things were left out for a long time. They had also run out of tea bags. They had to borrow some from The hotel next door. They arrived after about 20 mins and we had finished our breakfast. All in all, a disappointing experience.

After looking on the website I decided to treat my fiancé to a night away. The room I wanted wasn’t available but booked another one. I have to say the room was large and comply, with the addition of fresh milk on offer if you wish to have it. The restaurant was very busy but guessing it was due to the special offer of a Sunday stay., Chloe and Elenor were brilliant under the pressure, well done girls. Christian was on the breakfast shift he was very charming and very attentive. So overall a pleasant stay.

Skye was pleasent and friendly, very helpful, food was lovely, here with family friend, children left contented, will come back

Very pleasant lunch in relaxing surroundings with helpful staff. Old Peculier as a guest ale on last visit most wellcome.

Went for a meal mother and daughter. Server friendly and noticed we had been waiting a while for our food and chased this up without us having to ask. It was busy and she knew her customers who had been waiting etc. Food was nice when it arrived and hot. Very helpful server, and went extra mile for us. Well done Karla :)

Was served by Phil who was great and super friendly, we all also really enjoyed our half chicken and choccy fudge cake !! :)

Don’t understand the ‘mixed reviews’ Tonight was typical of every takeaway we’ve ever had (and that’s hundreds over 15yrs) - batter on the cod was light and tasty - chips were perfect - chicken bites succulent . Always a big debate in Wells who does the best F&C - for us it’s Platten’s.

Went for the Sunday Carvery today with a friend. Never been in before. I have to admit when you walk in. It appears a little sparse, kind of lacking soft furnishings you expect in a pub, which is what has put me off trying before. But the staff were all so welcoming and friendly. Very attentive. The carvery was absolutely delicious. We both cleared our plates. The food was all very fresh. Not a reheat setup. All fresh and very tasty. Generous portions. The table behind came in with their beautiful fur baby. She came and said hello which was so adorable and they had fish and chips and scampi off the menu and their dinners also looked lovely and they said it was also fresh and tasty. I will certainly be coming back again for this great food. Thank you for a great birthday meal.
