The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

i went a while back right as the first lockdown was starting with my nan and mum and it was lovely. the cakey bits and hot drinks we got were really nice and the lady that owned the cafe was lovely, she had a conversation with us the whole time we were there and she was really sweet. great experience and next time your in filexstoe i would definitely recommend going here!

Very average coffee. The staff where nice enough, but it seems strange that a place will have "bean" in the title, yet use the cheapest, basic tasting coffee beans?

On a rainy cold day in December we were welcomed in to this cosy yurt by the owner and staff and served delicious food, and hot drinks. Well worth the journey down the lane off the Blythburgh Road. Open 10 'til 5pm. Ignore recent poor reviews from those who only ever seem to have a bad time wherever they go - If you like something different then you will love The Yurt at Potton Hall. We will be back!

A nice place to go but it is a pity they allow dogs. Nice coffer. Efficient service. Quiet on a Sunday before Aldi opens. Plenty of parking.

It is an absolute pleasure to visit a pub with well kept ales that are gravity served. If only more pubs would take the time to do this. There is also a selection of excellent sandwiches on tasty, fresh bread. The main courses were good. I recommend the Powters sausages.

Great little pub in Leigh on Sea

excellent food in convivial atmosphere. Service very good; very attentive. Music level just right Good prices. We were well looked after by Hannah.

We visited the place on the bank holiday Monday. When we entered, we were informed that the restaurant was accepting bookings only, but if we found an available table on the pub side, we could sit there and someone would serve us. However, when we attempted to order food and drinks at the bar, we were refused service. This inconsistency in staff communication was highly misleading. We were disappointed totally!!!

Sat outside in the sun ,the pub was busy and a lovely view of the canal ,drinks quite expensive

We been today 08.05.25, food is excellent bit service is very poor, no one come asked how's your wise, waiting for morethan 40 minutes if someone will come ask if we want dessert, but nothing, frustrated so we paid our bill..then we realised that they took discretionary seevice charged without asking or telling.🤔🤔 despite that we are only the customer eating.. but no one to ask...

Absolutely love this pub. Food is awesome reasonably priced. The staff are lovely and we've made a few friends with the locals would definitely recommend
