The conservatory opposite the leisure centre in Felixstowe is a cosy well run cafe. Food and drink are good and the staff are friendly. Everything is being done to ensure all anti covid measures are in place. Loved it

Needing breakfast, I had intended to visit another cefe near this one that I had been to before, but they were closed. Time was short and I didn't want to have to wander around, so as this was very close by, we went in. A small cafe, very clean and very informal. The lady who was serving was delightful. She adjusted menu prices because I didn't want the full English breakfast, and she cooked up the most amazing meal with lashings of excellent tea. I really enjoyed my breakfast and the short stay. When next in Felixstowe, whenever that is, I shall return.

Visited this cafe today whilst in Felixstowe. Coffee and cakes were excellent along with the lovely welcome when we arrived. The decor is pretty and everything was very clean and tidy. It has a warm welcoming indoor space and a lovely outdoor area for the summer. As a small independent business it is definitely one to support. We will definitely return on our next day trip.

my husband and I called in here today for lunch. It looks really nice and I love the painted decoration and it has a lovely outdoor seating area. That’s where the good points end. My husband had the all day breakfast which he was very disappointed with. The tasteless tinned mushrooms and cheap sausage didn’t go down well along with two tiny pieces of bacon. That however was far better than my jacket potato. This was a very small frozen potato (I didn’t no this until i saw the lady getting one out of the freezer) which was wizzed through a microwave, shoved Onto a plate with 2 small packs of butter and a sprinkling of cheese. No sign of a lettuce leaf, or even a slice of tomato. Very unhappy as they charged us £7.00 for the potato. The menu hooves was very small which also matches the sizes of the cakes. The menu could of done with a wipe too. Overall the menu was well overpriced for what you got. Will definitely not be returning here any time soon.

Visited Felixstowe for Mothers Day. Welcoming cafe with a good choice of food on the menu. I had jacket potato with baked beans, bacon - no problem in adding the bacon to the filling on menu - and a small salad on side. Nice selection of cakes. Can recommend the Victoria sponge with traditional strawberry jam filling with buttercream, and the cherry fairy cake. Large pot of tea for three also.

A lovely little cafe and coffee shop. We stopped for breakfast and what a nice breakfast it was. Fresh mushrooms would have been better than tinned but that's just our taste. Looking through their compact menu it looks like light bites are more their thing. The staff are very friendly and polite. Dogs are welcome outside and a water bowl is positioned for them to take a drink. We will be back for coffee and cake later 😊

Run by a pleasant, charismatic lady and helped by a couple of young girls who might have been relatives. Not the most organised and had to ask for cutlery, but the food was generally good. Not the cheapest and quite a basic menu but we were happy. Except one of our friends who had ordered sausage and chips but got a child's portion. They quickly did another sausage when they realised but it wasn't cooked. No card facilities but lady was good enough to take our friend round to the card machine and then when that didn't work, was happy enough to trust him to go up into town for a working one. Bit dead down this end of town.

After walking 4 miles we deserved a coffee break and a slice of cake. The Conservatory Cafe looked quaint and welcoming. Inside with was warm and cozy and the staff friendly. I ordered red berry tea and a coffee, plus a slice of chocolate cake to share. The fruit tea tasted good but the cake was past its best and a little dry. Regretfully a very average experience all round.

Very quiet no one in .... Not surprised as 2 adults and 1 child -Went for pot of tea for 2, a coke and a slice of cake each (consisting 2 slices of a dry sponge and millionaire shortbread) came to over £14!!! Tiny tea cups with only enough in pot to serve 1 full cup each Too expensive And will certainly avoid in future.

Let's hope there's been a change of ownership since some of last year's reviews, but when I called in on an out-of-season Monday morning in 2016 I was served by a very pleasant lady, the food from a straight-forward menu was freshly cooked and arrived quickly, and I was made to feel very welcome. It's a small place and as far as I could see not actually a conservatory, but I'd certainly recommend it for a quick snack. Prices are average but it is in a prime seafront location (directly across from the Leisure Centre).

We went here for lunch as we were in a hurry and our nearby first choice café was too busy. We were not expecting too much as the place was deserted. Ordered pasty, beans & chips and sausage, egg & chips. There was a reasonable selection on the menu and the prices were average. In fact the whole meal could be summed up as average. There was nothing wrong with our meals but we would not go here again. Not recommended.

Me and two friends visited for lunch, our meal was pleasant, but on the next table they had the all day breakfast with green mould on the crust of the bread. The chap was not going to say anything but we all said they could do it to other people..When he went to pay the waitress picked up her mobile phone he told her about the mouldy bread, she took his money and carried on talking on the mobile. She did not say sorry just took his money and walked away. We were very disgusted re her attitude and the poor care. Of course we became slightly worried about our own food but did not see any mould whilst we were eating. If she had apologised and offered to return some of the expense then it would have been something.

My mother and I were looking for a cafe where we could take our elderly, well-behaved cocker spaniel in with us as there was rather a fresh sea-breeze on the promenade. Although there was another close by which we knew allowed dogs in it didn't look appealing so we headed back and saw this pretty cafe on the corner with seating outside. We liked the look of the cakes on display and decided to go there instead. We tethered the dog outside and went in to place our order. It was warm and cozy and I mentioned that we were having to huddle outside as we had a dog with us. The proprietor said he was happy for us to bring him if the other customers didn't object. I asked, they didn't - so he joined us in front of the fire! We enjoyed a lovely latte, fruit scone and coffee cake. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, proprietor was congenial. If you share our love of such thins I recommend you visit the Conservatory!

A proper pub, good friendly service , well kept beers with an ever changing guest ale, no food just good conversation in a pleasant environment. If you long for a traditional well run pub serving good ale the Old Mariners is for you.

Tried to arrange our engagement party here and is the worst communication and service from the event organiser I have ever received. Constantly ignored even when it got to the point of going into the sea you to speak to the lady who organises. Had to keep chasing for responses and in the end was just ignored and never got back to. Is a real shame as we really liked the cafe there but will not be returning after the way we were treated.
