Visited today with my dad for a spot of lunch. Received a warm welcome & chose to sit by the window as was brighter. Ordered the king prawn cocktail for dad (he wasn't very hungry) & I had the macaroni cheese. Very nice. Service was very good although our waitress reeled off all the draught beers but never mentioned the offer on Fosters which I've just seen on your website. Overall a nice visit but your premises could be cleaner...the windowsill was covered in what looked like bugs & my dad dropped his walking stick & as i picked it up i felt & saw cobwebs all in the corner. Personally this would put me off coming again.

1st time visit to the Globe Inn, warmly welcomed by Jane and Josh. Food was delicious , recommend the salmon. Jane gave us some great local info as planning to move to the area. Think this may be our new friendly local !

A truly amazing pub great food with great friendly staff, also with views of the canal. We were served by Emily who was amazing a very kind and lovely person and helpful a credit to the staff. We would highly recommend A++++

I came here with my wife whilst we were on a holiday visiting friends down south! I found the service was fantastic and manager Jo looked after us with her colleague Josh. Food was delicious and the pub is very cozy.

Sophie and Jane look after us very well, food was excellent and compliments must go to the chef on a very tasty Ruddles streak pie. Will be back again soon.

The burger was good but not the best the mayo was not spread properly it was all in the middle of the bun. The bacon was really crispy in my opinion to crispy. The chips were good but some of the salt was in big chunks so not all the of the chips got salted

Aug’24 New owners from previous review and now a 4 star versus 3 star review. Staff super friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere inside and canal side great. The food we had was delicious and well presented but vegan and vegan gluten free options very limited. Also, the value for money for a side of fries or onion rings is not good eg. £3+ for 6 onion rings. 2022 Idyllic location by the canal with loads of seating albeit sunny or under the trees. Indoors is also lovely. So gets really busy. Bar staff friendly. However, food (at least for the vegan options) is disappointing and not great value for money. As per pic, the koftas I am sure were just microwaved and were not nice with unwashed salad from a bag no doubt. Great place for drinks and snacks however.

We came down too the globe Inn pub too enjoy the sunshine. As we were sitting by the waters edge we saw some amazing looking plate of food come out too the tables. We could not resit and we definitely was not disappointed the food was amazing. Our waitresses Emily was very attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend the trip down and enjoy the surroundings the food the atmosphere.... we will definitely be back again 5 stars brilliant!!!!!!

Lovely pub in a beautiful setting. So relaxing on the canal front. Decided to stay for supper. Had fish and chips, which was an excellent choice recommended by Emily, who gave us great service and was very attentive. We will definitely be back!

Monday lunch. We were looking for somewhere to eat after a morning shopping. It was our anniversary so wanted something quiet nice. Our daughter suggested the Globe inn after looking on the internet. I had been to this pub years ago so thought we would give it a try. You drive down a long driveway to the pub and then along the canal into the car park. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. The pub inside is cosy and very clean. We were offered to sit in the restaurant or bar area which joins each other so keeping the atmosphere. The food was really good and plenty of it. We weren’t rushed and the staff were very friendly. They have good real ales to choose from. The landlady informed us about their recent visit from film star Brad Pit who booked the pub for a whole week while filming locally. Apparently he loves old English pubs. We had a nice walk along the canal after our lunch. I would definitely be returning soon and would recommend this pub. Thanks for a lovely lunch. John😊

Shocking, that's what today's visit has been. Refused to offer the CAMRA discount on real ale (despite the Greeneking website proudly claiming this pub offers it - happy to follow this up with GK Area Manager and CAMRA. A valid CAMRA membership card was shown. Then told that the kitchen is closed at 4pm on a Sunday, despite food being advertised 11am to 11pm. Going to the three locks at Soulbury instead as that's a better run pub.

Still a nice pub, but sad every pub is now falling under the green king banner. Pubs are loosing their individuality, all the menus are the same where food is microwaved and not cooked to order. Update 20:00 on 23.07.24 It's been a while since this review but I've returned and was pleasantly surprised. The service has had a U-turn. No more please go get your own cutlery and condiments. Tuesday night all the staff were friendly and could engage in conversation. The team went to get sauces and cutlery for us, plates were cleared and we were asked if the food was good. Great job to the team at the Globe this feels so much better to how it has been.

Ordered food and drink. Ale was ok. Food came out cold, friends who had ordered after me had their food first. Portions were extremely limited and definitely not value for money.

Limited menu and food was poor when arrived. The mushy peas with the fish and chips were just a small bowl of green water. We were not shown the specials menu until the desert course which was annoying as we would have chosen something from this menu for our main course. The food felt like it had been taken out of the freezer and heated up.

I recently organised and held a large get together at The Globe. The customer service leading up to the event and during our visit was amazing. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival by Dan who served us at the bar. We were served by a couple of people at our table who throughout ensured that everything was to our satisfaction. Food was delicious and good value for money. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The pub/restaurant was clean and well presented. The outdoor space offered lots of tables and seating, enabling us to sit outside and enjoy the warm sunshine. I would highly recommend The Globe for its outstanding customer service, welcoming staff and cosy atmosphere.

My favourite pub in Leighton Buzzard. The food is to die for! Not to mention how friendly and welcoming the staff are.

The Globe Inn has been our local pub for almost 8 years and over the last 6 months we have been a huge improvement. The team and menu is absolutely fantastic!! It's a shame that the play area has been under water over the last few months and consequently removed, but nevertheless our kids and international families love visiting!

Good beer, nice ambiance, good parking. Sometimes slow in getting served. Typical pub food which is reasonable. This pub gets very busy on a sunny weekend as there is plenty of outdoor seating and a kids play area.

Disappointing food A bit of a mixed review unfortunately. The staff were very welcoming and the restaurant was beautifully decorated however the food quality was a real letdown. We were a table of 9 including 2 children early evening for the Christmas menu which we were looking forward to. The sprouts and broccoli were frozen not fresh as you would expect, the 'roast potatoes' were skin on boiled baby potatoes that had barely been finished in the oven so not crisp and fluffy like proper roasties. The main roast meals were barely warm although the burgers and chips were ok. The food needs to be so much better to achieve more positive ratings. We didn't want to make a fuss at the time as it's awkward on what was meant to be a special family meal so we just ate and went as the kids were getting tired.

Lovely location by the canal, great atmosphere inside. Staff were very friendly and helpful, but service a bit slow on a Sunday at lunch time due to how busy it gets. Food is standard pub food, but reasonably priced. They have some lovely drinks on the menu.

Lovely canalside pub, but with a typical pubco chain attitude of "let's make everything out of a packet to save 50p". Expect over-stretched staff, synthetic-tasting sauces, microwaved mains (with a choice of carcinogenic burned edges or food-poisoning-inducing frozen middles), and deep fried everything (with breadcrumbs). Waiting staff were lovely, but you can't expect an 18yo waitress to make up for an indifferent, bean counting manager. Well, here's a message to you, faceless pubco: you refunded one main (even after replacing it, it was inedible) and were so slow to serve we had no time left for dessert. So take your cheeseparing management consultancy shortcuts and shove them up your balance sheet - because they're losing you customers and money. We literally took our business elsewhere, and finished the meal in town. Advice to potential visitors: go to a pub run by a chef, not an accountant. Any pub that serves a frozen lasagne STILL FROZEN isn't safe and isn't worthy of the name. There's more to a running a kitchen than hitting "start" on your microwave - whatever your management consultancy geniuses tell you.

Really nice pub by the canal. Huge but hidden car park. Great food, reasonably priced. Lovely staff too, very friendly. I was also impressed with the free tampons in the girls loos. Thank you, sometimes you get caught out. Also roast and ramble sounds amazing.

This is a really nice Canal side pub, stopped off here on a long walk along the canal, a nice cold refreshing beer is just what I needed. Was fairly busy but service was excellent.

I recently went with friends for a girly get together. We enjoyed wine and food and were offered a jug of water for the table too. We all ate something different. We didn't wait long for the food which was hot and well presented. I chose the butternut squash rissotto which I thoroughly enjoyed and would probably have again if on the menu. We weren't rushed at any point and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pub is situated by a canal, easily accessible by foot and car. It is dog friendly and offers Doggie snacks and a menu. There is an outside seating and a small children's play area.

Went there because of the gluten free options on the menu. Located on the side of a canal, very relaxing. Unfortunately I think the staff were overwhelmed by the number of people there, which had an effect on our table service. I think we will try again and see if the service has improved.

Updated review: The place is under management it seems, I went on Monday this week with a friend, great prawn cocktail and vegetable soup. Fantastic service and will definitely return. It's upgraded to a full 5 stars now.

Jane and Julie so helpful always put there best in to help and go out there way

First of all, they correctly offer Beyond Meat burger as 1:1 replacement of normal burger and then mention you can also have it vegan. Perfection, liking Beyond Meat shouldn't require me to suffer vegan cheese. Great food in general, reasonable prices, big portions.

A traditional pub full of character. Located close to the canal, it offers indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs are permitted in the bar area. When we visited there was a good range of beers and a variety of other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. We visited on a Sunday and enjoyed a traditional Roast dinner. There was a choice of roast meats and vegetarian options. There were other choices on the menu and a separate children’s menu. The staff were friendly and the service was very good. I would certainly go back again.
