Great service polite staff and everytime with a smile, i can say that the steak was perfect the curry dishes are not so authentic but a nice try. Nice clean pub with pool table and big screens well done all !

Waiting time for a meal is a joke. Over an hour for chicken and chips and there are only a few people in the restaurant. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT

I visited for a quick meal on my work trip. I was served by Karina, she was lovely and helpful. I enjoyed my meal, it was very nice and filling. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

We have always liked it here, hadn’t been for a while. Always expect good quality and portion size. We went for the larger Rump Steak meal with an extra side of Scampi each. Well disappointing is an understatement, I ordered Medium Steaks but they were so overcooked dry and tough they were just about able to be chewed. Only 2 onion rings and 4 pieces of scampi. We ate it but it was the worst bit of tough dry bland steak I have had for a very long time. I hate complaining, so we just got on with it, but I won’t be rushing back for sure. I feel I wasted my money on very unenjoyable meals

Ordered the Keema Lamb Stack. There was no lamb in it! The lady serving spoke to the kitchen and tried to say the lamb was in the curry but nobody was particularly interested in looking. It was clearly vegetarian. Didn't bother arguing as it was cheap but it's not great!

JJ is a great bartender. Everytime we come in we are always greeted with a smile. The service is great he is always professional this is what keeps us coming back. Thanks JJ. Can also say great value for money on food and drinks and a good selection.

We've been here many times and always receive top service. There's a lovely lady called Christine who quite often serves us and you couldn't ask for a better waitress. She serves you professionally and is great to have a natter with! A great selection of food and drinks also good value for money, especially when you have kids. Hat's off to Christine, she's been there 20 years and still giving it her all! ❤️

The lady behind the bar is very standoffish. First thing she said was we've no butter, shouting half way across the bar. I said that was fine. Ill still order breakfast. I tried to ask why somone didn't just go to the local shop and buy some. Her response was brand standards we can't for Allergens. I said that dosent make sense. Anyway i sat down and had my dry bacon and sausage sandwich. I continued to watch her shout the same thing abouy butter across the bar to whoever walked in. Then she said nobody could order breakfast now because the chef has gone on his break for half an hour. Im shocked how such a big firm cant train there staff and can't problem solve. Akward and unprofessional that's all i have to say

Went to The Highway man today for food and drink while we watched the Euro football. Lovely food and drink, great place to watch the games. The staff were especially friendly, thank you Ruby, Tom, Jj and Joseph for looking after us this evening.

Shane honestly works so hard and he is honestly an asset to the team! JJ & Charis also have worked so hard! They all are committed to the pub! And have such great personalities! Would highly recommend any time!

Probably first time trying veggie lasagna. Pasta is a little overcooked and tastes soft /mushy and especially with the vegan cheese which disintegrates rather than pulls. Seasoning is not bad, not too salty. It appears to be microwave reheated despite its relatively late arrival— no overheated center so maybe some very skillful reheating. Surprisingly filling with the relatively lower calorie. Roasts have great deals. Probably tastes alright for the price. Those who stayed here said it’s decent but it isn’t very easy to get without a car

Came here with the brother, we were both highly satisfied with both the food and service, Charis was especially helpful with ensuring we had all we need for a great experience, Shane at the bar was very welcoming and funny great bartender. will definitely be dining here again, 10/10

Disgusting breakfast. No eggs, no white bread, no tomato, undercooked bacon & sausage ( raw inside) cold beans & mushrooms only thing edible was the hash browns. Didn't go down for the next 2 breakfasts went to wetherspoons

We visited for lunch today. We had some really great food served by Christine, our lovely, regular waitress. We highly recommend the fish and chips and apple crumble although we are never disappointed with anything we order. We are regulars here, great food and service and superb value.

Just popped in for a meal. The 2 4 1 offer on burgers is very worthwhile. They were busy so had a bit of a wait for our food but we thoroughly enjoyed it when we got it.

I stayed here for a business trip, the staff were excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. I had an extra day of which I needed to work from the bar, they set me up with a table in a quiet corner of the restaurant instead, this allowed me to work uninterrupted throughout the day. I ordered some lunch which came out promptly and was delicious, would 100% come back.

I always come every Friday for food with the family. Always helpful staff and the food comes out reasonably quick and fresh

Use the Highwayman as base when at Head office, has everything you need for 1 night or 4 nights. Highly recommended.

Wow! What can I say?! George was amazing today! The service was top drawer and I really liked his shirt. Good bit of chat and made to feel very welcome. Poor service , poor food , not very friendly staff.

Just outside of town and easy parking, tried this Hungry Horse for the first time. Bar staff were friendly and helpful (thanks to Leanne) and the pub classic fish and chips with sides was cooked well and delicious. Service by staff member George was professional and attentive. We would recommend a visit 👍
