The welcome was a bit frosty. The first table we sat at had all ripped chairs and smelt wierd. When our waitress took our order I told her that I had driven 3 and half hours and she agreed I needed a glass of wine. This took over 10 minutes for another waitress to bring! Very slow service and they weren't that busy. The starters were nice, the carvery was standard roast. The turkey was lovely, the beef was inedible! No one asked how our meals were. I would've ordered more drinks but by the time I called a waitress over, we just wanted the bill. The app made out there would be a discount, but it's just a reward system. Not local and if I visited the area again, doubt I'd revisit as no atmosphere and unfriendly feel.

My friend booked a table for us, 3 adults, 2 children and 4 dogs. 4 of us had a carvery and 1 had a nut roast. Food was amazing, especially that parsnips! The staff were really helpful and accommodating. Super dog friendly, the dogs were given a bowl of water on arrival and all had a doggy roast dinner. Thank you

The food was average ,unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired, they don't seem to understand their own booking/seating system, staff not up to speed on menu or drinks, had to ask for cutlery for main course condiments took a long time to arrive at the table

I ate here on consecutive nights during my weekend in Blakeney, since my first visit was excellent in almost every respect. The waiter was very helpful when I complained about the sticky table, explaining that it was due to over-use of sanitzer and moving me to another table with a glass top. My simple haddock and chips was perfect. Thin crispy batter, a generous helping of tartare sauce and deliciously minty pea puree. On the second night the starter of smoked mackerel pate and the seared tuna and cucumber salsa of the mains were similarly excellent. But the bed of couscous was drenched in a shoyu-based dressing that was inedibly salty. I do not mean just a bit salty. I mean heart-attack salty. A professional chef should obviously not make such a simple error and at the very least should taste their creation before passing it for service. I duly complained (though did not just send it back as I should have). The waiter deleted the service charge without my asking, but I left gasping for water despite having eaten barely 10% of the cous cous. On reflection the waiter should have apologized and returned it to the kitchen themself. The incident marred what would otherwise have been a 5-star review.

Sooooo impressed! Came here around 6 months ago and was shocked at how bad it was! Everything sticky and gross… however came tonight to give it another try. Really pleasantly surprised! Manager greeted us at the door and was shown to our table. I’m a vegan and the food was really good and had a meat alternative for me! My boyfriend isn’t and he said his carvery was great, meat was great! Started talking to the manager and he said there has been a change in management which makes sense with how much better the place is! Will definitely be returning! As a vegan I prefer this place over a Tobey any day!

One thing about Weatherspoons is the beer and (usually) wine for the price is good. Problem here is the staff. Totally disinterested in the customer and service is laughable. Bad management is prolific. This should be filmed and used during training (which I believe does not happen ) on how NOT to treat there income paying customers. You need to use smaller plates and then the portions will look some where acceptable.

We love this pub to go to sometimes either weekly or fortnightly . We can park easily at the pub . The pub has a lovely atmosphere , we are always greeted politely and with a smile . Customer service is "top notch " always regardless of what staff our on duty or how busy they are . The food is absolutely fabulous , always presented well and served by the wonderful staff . We cannot recommend this pub enough , in fact it's the only one we travel too being 13 miles one way .

Staying very nearby on business and finishing earlier than expected, we stopped by for a cheeky pint on a dull November afternoon and stepped into the wonderful Ship Inn which was immediately welcoming with its cosy atmosphere, groovy decor, log fires, soft charming cool music and a tantalising aroma of food! The aromas got to us and we succumbed to the squid and the whitebait. The freshest and tastiest whitebait I have eaten in several decades ( cannot stop thinking about it! ) . Charming staff, clearly well run. Friendly locals. Lovely menu which we intend to fully exploit next visit! Impromptu and quite incredible!
