My friend booked a table for us, 3 adults, 2 children and 4 dogs. 4 of us had a carvery and 1 had a nut roast. Food was amazing, especially that parsnips! The staff were really helpful and accommodating. Super dog friendly, the dogs were given a bowl of water on arrival and all had a doggy roast dinner. Thank you

Called in on spec, do not be put off by first appearance, extremely friendly staff, good real ale but for us the real treat was the food, well prepared with no pre-frozen veg, nicely presented and hot. Only downside for us was the constantly flashing big screen.

We called to book a table late Saturday for Sunday lunch for 2 adults and a dog. When arriving we ordered our food and drinks at the bar and were shown our table. We both had carvery and ordered a Sunday lunch for the dog. The carvery was one of the best we’ve ever had. The food was cooked to perfection and there was so much choice. There were 2 different types of beef, turkey, pork, lamb and 2 different types of gammon. There was a huge selection of veg and potatoes which were all very tasty and fresh. Our dog also loved her lunch and they gave her loads of meat. We would definitely return. The staff were all very friendly.

Unbelievable food, especially the Sunday Carvery. 10 out of 10. Staff fantastic can't wait to go back. We spent Saturday watching Sky Sports result service then the Cricket. We went at 3pm for the gut busting Carvery on Sunday. Then watched the football. Needed a lay down after that experience. Would definitely recommend to all. Dog friendly as well.

Popped in for an afternoon beer. Very impressed by the food being delivered to others plus the carvery looked fantastic. Booked a table for the evening and whilst neither of us had the carvery the food from the main menu was equally fantastic. By the way, beer was also great! Well worth visiting. 10/10 from me

first visit great but was marred by awful second unfortunately. the first time we had a lovely dinner, we visited during a break away with family - delicious food, friendly service, good value etc. we went back a couple of days later for dinner again. it was noticeably busier, but we had a booking…booking was 730, last orders at 7.45, kitchen closes at 8… from start we were directed to table from previous visit, not guided, nay bother on its own usually... but in context of everything else…! went and got our own drinks from bar after 20 mins of sitting there. another 30 mins past and no order taken. waitress shouted over a couple of times to say “not forgotten you”. But we weren’t happy by this point so decided to leave. as we were settling our drink bill at the bar, we asked barman to just let waitress/restaurant staff know we were unfortunately leaving…to which he said you need to order food at the bar and it is very busy and 2 staff short…we said we understood busy etc but 2 days previous we were served at the table, the same one we were sat at and by same waitress, who didn’t ask us to order at bar this time and had called over a couple of times... he didn’t really deal with the situation well and we weren’t offered anything! to top it off, on the way out, we passed a table that was a booking with the same name as mine but with a dog (we only knew this because we were asked which one we were when checking in!). they arrived after us, but were happily finishing off their meal, and every other table were either eating or had empty plates on their table. such a shame, felt so ignored and like as visitors/holidaymakers were treated differently.

All the meals were presented nicely and were delicious. Also our server was attentive and efficient. Bargain lunch with with drinks, (only one alcohol-based) for under £40. Well-done Kings Arms

What a chaotic experience. Arrival and seating was fine, carvery was fine, food was average. It went downhill when we were asked to move our car as we were in the “wrong parking space” and needed to move “in case the kitchen got a delivery”. This seemed unlikely during the middle of a Sunday food service. I went and moved the car out on to the road and came back to a much colder meal than I left. No thanks from the staff. Then at the end of the meal we asked for the bill to be told that we needed to go and pay at the till. That in itself isn’t an issue, but it becomes one when the till is in the thoroughfare between the kitchen, carvery station, bar, and restaurant. You could not find a worse place to position a till if you tried. I was told by two staff members I was in their way, one very rudely snapped at me just as I was trying to pay and use the card machine. There are much better run restaurants in the area, avoid the stress and chaos and go somewhere properly run.

Have been wanting to go here for a while and finally got the time to book and go. Wow it did not disappoint. The staff and venue were very welcoming. It felt warm and homely in the bar and a great set up for dogs... especially with their doggie dinners! Didn't have a dog but if I had one this would be my go to place! We sat in the restaurant area where the carvery set up is and it was beautifully decorated. A little cramped with all the tables but it worked. The food options were plentiful and for someone who's fussy I had plenty of options. The food tasted amazing also and already we can't wait to go back. The only downside is my partner said it got really loud and couldn't hear me well as the evening went on and it got busier. It felt like the room echoed. There was a kid next to us using the radiator as a road for its toy car and a birthday party on the table on the other side of us with kids, so pretty loud. And the other thing is the car park is a bit tight but nothing they can do about that of course. All in all looking forward to going back asap!

Quite simply I cannot understand these reviews, this pub isn’t worth crossing the road for let alone the journey. It’s not a destination place, the surroundings are shabby beyond belief, the service at best surly, the menu appears to consist of mostly frozen food cooked up, and we waited nearly 45 minutes for fish and chips and a bill for almost £100 for 4, with 6 drinks between the 4 of us. Exceptional place to eat! Highly recommended, especially for gluten free options. By far the best GF I have found so far, whilst on holiday for a week, in the North Norfolk Broads. Very friendly and helpful staff, warm atmosphere and superb food. What more could...

Visited the broads with family and hired a day boat from Wroxham which we moored nearby. Womack is about 4/5 mins walk but we had moored further down, around 15-20 mins away. I had booked lunch in advance after reading the reviews several days before....

Was looking for a dog friendly venue, staff was mostly friendly until it came to clearing our plates when I replied in a hushed tone as to not embarrass them, as to why I had not eaten any of my veg or potatoes and gravy...

Village pub that a friend often suggests we go to for lunch. Good food and quick service. It was nice to see the pub get busier over the course of the afternoon too. Recommend for a lunch time catch up.

Traditional village pub. Quick service and friendly staff. Appeared to be the locals pub but with the boatyards around they are happy to accept the holiday makers too!

Have popped in occasionally and had the most delicious pie and gravy. Was in the area Saturday and thought a lovely pie and gravy will go down a treat on such a cold day. Saturday luch time, no pies on the menu, just a very basic baguette, omlette, baked potato menu, really disappointed. Should have guessed, very sparse of dinners. Ordered the egg baguette, to be told a minute later 'we can't get hold of any eggs'. So all the omlettes were unavailable too. I've just been to a farmers market down the road that's full of eggs and pies! Cheese baguette ok, very cheap colesaw on side( sorry being really picky now). It has changed hands and don't believe the menu online, we won't be going back.

Wow what a find. the best place to eat for miles around if you have dogs with you as it is very dog friendly. We went for Sunday lunch and sat out on the covered terrace next to the lovely garden. There was a choice of 4 roast meats and a vegetarian option. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The cost was also very reasonable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The whole place has a lovely atmosphere.

Great staff, amazing views, nice range of beers. They continue to do a great job on the pier, we are so lucky to have it. It's a treasure that has been beautifully maintained.

On a recent trip on the Norfolk Broads, we happened upon The Dog and had some lunch. Nice welcome and really good food! The Dog Menu was a particularly nice touch, bought some treats for the pooch, which she loved. The food was so good that on our last day, on the way back to the boatyard, we did a little detour and returned for another meal. Highly recommend, will definitely return! Thank you.
