Fantastic meal. Well looked after. Really made to feel at home. They had a quiz afterwards and we were made so welcome we stayed and had a really good night. Thank you to everyone.

We have visited this pub for dinner 3 times over the last couple of months as we were camping nearby. The food and the service was exceptional on all occasions and several of our friends have also been here on our recommendation and not one bad or average review. Every meal is very very good and you will not be disappointed. We would travel out of our way to eat here again.

Have visited Roydon white hart many times before & always had a great meal, the lasagne is my favourite & the chocolate ambassador. Staff are always friendly & accommodating. They have a large beer garden & are dog friendly outside. Plenty of parking spaces, I highly recommend this lovely pub.

Excellent fish options and beautifully cooked. Service was very good and attentive. Well worth the drive to Roydon. Do not be fooled by this pubs appearance the food is excellent.

I could just say everything was lovely and leave it at that, if that’s all you need, know also I’m fussy but fat- I know what I like. But more than that the staff were lovely, very sweet and friendly and attentive. All the food was well presented and there was loads of it, no messing about with portion sizes- it’s all big for those who want more. Even the soft drinks were presented well. I’ll be visiting when I’m next that way.

We were visiting family who took us to this pub for dinner. First impressions as we walked in and were taken to our table was the staff weren't very welcoming or cheery. There was one young lad who was very efficient and professional (when I asked for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc he asked me if I'd like the Chilean or New Zealand - compare this to the older chap who I'll talk about later) Food was pretty awful to be truthful. The seafood platter for instance is cheap defrosted prawns and two types of deep fried fish that obviously also come out of a packet (sorry but I come from somewhere where fresh fish is straight from the fisherman not the freezer). I had the Mushroom and spinach lasagna which sounded nice on the menu (in a creamy sauce etc.) but it was just mushed mushrooms in a dish with a sheet of pasta and melted cheese on top heated in the microwave. The food is your basic Harvester/Whetherspoons grade food - definitely doesn't taste fresh or homemade. We all commented afterward that the meal was awful and before the management respond with "well why didn't you say something when you were here" we were guests of other people so we didn't want to be rude to them. The staff as mentioned were bloody miserable. There was an older gentleman who was particularly slovenly and rude. He cleared away some of our used mains plates and asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu which we did. He never returned to finish clearing or give us the menus which we had to go and get from the bar. When he took our order for desserts my son asked what rums they had to which he rudely said "well none on the desert menu" and acted like he couldn't be bothered to tell him which rums they did have and told my son he'd have to go to the bar and have a look. WRONG - that man (owner/waiter?) should have known exactly what rums they had (bearing in mind they had so few) and been able to relay what was available but he just acted like he couldn't be bothered. Everything seemed too much trouble. There was also a female waitress who never smiled once and just plonked stuff on the table as if we were really inconveniencing her by turning up to eat - well just by turning up. Overall the main issue I think was the staff. They are not welcoming or friendly (God knows why any of them apart from the young lad are in the restaurant trade as they clearly don't want to be) and the food is a big disappointment. I wouldn't go here again or recommend it to anyone.

Lovely lunch to celebrate our friend's 92nd Birthday, great meal two of us had Fish of the Day which was haddock very well cooked nice crispy batter. One had chicken curry which again was very good. Our friend had the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream which she said was the best she's ever had quite an endorsement from someone of her mavellous age. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and smiling. Can't wait to return, thank you everyone at The White Hart.

The food was really good huge portions. Unfortunately our waitress was as miserable as sin , didn't crack her face once, she needs so customer service training

Found the lady on the phone rude when I booked the table to the point nearly said don’t bother We arrived and promptly seated. Drinks were served orders taken food came out. Food very nice and couldn’t fault. Really good. However the staff we found very rude and felt like they really didn’t want us there. Didn’t even come round to check food was ok and had to ask to get another round of drinks. I plane say they were overly busy so can’t be out down to that. Such a shame as would return for the food but customer service is in need of some work. I don’t like going out to be spoken rudely to.

Excellent meal, good portions, good beer. Could not ask for more. I was only in the area for one night, if I had been staying longer, I certainly would have been back.

Me and a handful of friends stopped here on a Saturday afternoon to enjoy some beers on the first proper sunny day of the year. After spending a few hours and well over £200 between us, one of the garden benches we were sat on tipped over, due to poor placement in the garden (on a slope), along with a fresh ~£50 round of drinks. Now I'm sure the argument can be made that we could have moved the bench, or that if we hadn't sat on it it wouldn't have tipped etc. But at the end of the day it's a pub, and I came for a beer not to rearrange the furniture. Now I can safely assume that most landlords or owners wouldn't think twice about replacing the drinks in this situation, or at least show some form of concern or apology. Unfortunately after 2 failed attempts to get the manager by asking the waiting staff, and being blatantly ignored face to face by the manager himself, I managed to pin him down and explain the situation, and that I would appreciate the drinks replaced. After some very rude and blunt conversation, and multiple attempts to deny us the beer/money, we were banned from the garden permanently and asked to finish the round he begrudgingly replaced (minus the one beer he made sure had survived the ordeal), and leave the pub. A shame, as it's a very local pub for our group.

Made to feel unwelcome the minute we walked in the door by being told we needed to be quick with our order….it was 6pm! Drinks wanted to be taken whilst we were still sitting down & food order was taken the minute the drinks were on the table. All within 5 minutes of entering. Food was lovely & huge portions but made to feel like we were an inconvenience is not what you want. Didn’t bother to order pudding because of this. They weren’t even fully booked & we were the 2nd or 3rd table in there.

Just had lunch here with two friends..the pub was busy with a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food was excellent…..and the service was very friendly and helpful. It was lovely and all very reasonably priced too.

We had not been here for years as moved out of area. But it use to be lovely with good food. When booking asked if we could bring dog, advised there was a dog area, was not advised it was public bar, if so would not have booked. The food was not great, had to endure an evening of listening to people swearing so loudly it was intrusive and not pleasant. It is a shame as use to be lovely will not be returning

Absolutely lovely meal here on 20th Jan 2024. Although a very busy night for the staff that didnt affect the quality of the food, I for one will definitely be coming back for the beef steak ale and mushroom pie, its a masterpiece.

Visited a number of times recently and Normally a warm, busy, but good quality pub with reasonable service. Today after pre-booking Sunday lunch several weeks ago, we arrived with friends for our 1:00pm booking and after ordering drinks, were advised that no Sunday roasts were available as sold out .. I understand that there is some variation from week to week, but considering the pub is catering for mainly rebooked customer's, it is in my opinion completely unacceptable to not have any Sunday roast dinners available early on a Sunday lunchtime!! We chose alternatives, but although ok, was not the roast we had been looking forward to. Apparently they will take specific meal bookings in advance but usually nice to choose the meat options on the day.

Hidden little Gem! We went as a family of four last minute & the meal was delicious! The servings are very generous & service was great! We didn’t want for anything, everything was done in such a timely manner also. We have already recommended this beautiful little pub to our friends & family for the new year, I really recommend booking as I can imagine it gets very busy. Fabulous menu with local produce, the desserts are also something else! We can’t wait to go back.

I’m being kind with a 3 star review as I have always loved this pub. However the people Who run it and the staff are hell bent on running it into the ground. We were a party of 12 who had pre booked and spent £400 but were treated like an inconvenience. Our pre orders were lost, food was Overpriced with less effort going into the menus than Previously. Chaotic staff management of the table who seemed to want us to hurry up and get to the coffee stage. We had a good night anyway but I’ve always made excuses for the poor service as the food was so good. With prices as high as they Are everywhere now expectations are higher and I don’t think any of us will return here for a while. What a shame!

Drove over from Lowestoft with some friends, one of which is a regular. Lovely bit of grub! Give the place a try as you’ll definitely want to go back there. 👍

We arrived early for a prebooked table, we were told they were not ready for us so I said we would like a predrink to which they responded you can sit here it's table service only. Waited 20 minutes for no table service. I then went to the bar I was ignored for a further 10 minutes before taking my drinks order. The rest of the party arrived the starters came out wrong, and they served half of us then left it 15 minutes before bringing the rest so we could not eat together. This was all cleared, they then gave us the mains but again only served half then 15 minutes later brought the rest and got the order wrong. When asking for more cutlery we were told to get up and get them ourselves. I'm even brought cutlery by McDonald's staff when asked politely. The waitresses then stood at the bar loudly voicing their opinion on the customers. We asked for a cake to be brought out for a 30th birthday party to which they "forgot". The bill was also continually forced on us to pay, when we were trying to enjoy our desserts. Landlord plain rude with a non friendly attitude. When highlighting our concerns to the landlord he had a very careless attitude and obviously has no intentions of teaching his staff any skills. McDonald's may be crap food but at least their service is of a better standard than this!!

We booked a table for two at 12.30 for Sunday lunch, 29th October. Shown to our table and our drinks order was taken. Eventually lunch order was taken. Then we waited, and waited and ...... When my husband asked how much longer it would be until we got our lunch he was told they were very busy and we were second in the queue, but if we wanted to leave we could. So we did! Definitely won't be going back. Such a shame as years ago it was a wonderful place to eat , or pop in for a quick drink on the way home from work.

We came for a 50th birthday celebration meal. Pleasing 8 foodies is not an easy task, but can honestly say everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals! I had the fish pie, which was 10/10! If only we lived closer, although I'd probably be the size of a house if we did! Lovely little pub, nice pub garden with lovely views and very good service!

We arrived on time and we were seated quickly. drink order taken and received drinks. service to take food order was awful. We wanted some more drinks and we waited 40 mins for these and the table wasnt cleared from starters for half an hour. We then had to wait even longer for our main meals and they were okay but the lasagne was tasteless and no flavour. Not once did we get asked if everything was okay. Was not a good experience

We were staying close by the White Hart and after having had a superb meal we decided to return for the next two nights. The three meals were all exceptional and the staff were friendly and very attentive. Would return again any time we are in the area.

Shown to our table - everywhere spotlessly clean and everyone welcoming and friendly. Large choice on the menu. Food arrived quickly and plenty of it - excellently cooked and piping hot! They even packed a bread roll for us to take home as we'd eaten enough! Enjoyed everything about this place and would definitely return

I was told that the owners used to run the Half Moon at Rushall and that in itself was a great recommendation.Upon arrival we were shown to our seats and offered drinks by very friendly staff.I opted for the East Coast Fish Pie and Lynda went for the scampi. After only 10 minutes or so the food was served and it was fabulous. Loads of it, we couldn't finish our mains otherwise we wouldn't have had room for our afters.Afters was Cheesecake and Mint Choc Chip Sundae, again neither were finished as they were massive.Food, service, staff and value all 5 star, £48.00 inc drinks brilliant value would absolutely recommend it.

Had family get together Sunday lunchtime, made to feel very welcome and safe. Lovely food, great play area for my grandchildren to play. Sat outside in sunshine and had a lovely time. Will defo be going back soon

We visited The heart today (23/12/20 1pm) as a family of 6 for coffee & a quick present exchange before Christmas (due to not mixing at home because of covid). We chose The Heart as it's central to out families and it had allways been quite nice.However we were so disappointed! Mainly by the attitude and service from the staff, Helen who served us mainly, was just damn right rude & grumpy & clearly did not want us to be there! We were so sad as we'd chosen this pub thinking it would be nice for our family to have our ONLY christmas get-together, BUT she honestly spoilt it making us feel like we never want to go back there again. In the current circumstances if I was running the pub I certainly wouldn't want ANYBODY leaving with that thought in their minds! I would be making every effort AND making sure my staff "aka Helen" were making every effort too, to make sure everybody who walked through my door was happy, and would definately want to return!With staff like that you cant blame covid entirely IF people don't want to re-visit :-(

You must visit the white hart ! All through this dire year , John& co have invested heavily in making it a safe environment for everyone to enjoy, and has done a first class job! No expense spared!Hope they get the support they deserve in this troubled time !

Relaxed surroundings, clear C19 instructions and delightful staff. Our group of four enjoyed a great evening with excellent food and service. Thoroughly recommend and will certainly be visiting again soon.

We had dinner at The White Hart, Roydon, Diss on Saturday evening and it was absolutely fabulous. The food, the wine, the service was outstanding with charm and warmth. Every caution had been taken during the times of Covid and we were met and guided with great courtesy and friendliness.

We had a lovely meal out here. The staff were all so polite and welcoming. The food was delicious. Perfect thank you.

We visited the pub for a birthday meal today. I had chosen the pub as the vegetarian options looked really nice . On arrival there were clear covid safety measures in place . We sat outside as had our dog with us. The food was really good as a vegetarian it's nice to have some choice the spinach and mushroom lasagne was delicious . The only thing I would say is one of the staff was quite miserable and she forgot to bring us sauces and salt/pepper . Due to covid we couldnt go and find it. However I would definitely go back for the delicious veggie lasagne

We stopped off for lunch on our way to the Broads....Welcoming & inviting...Fair Covid protocols.....Although...We did feel that the staff should be wearing a form of face coverings in public areas where there was none sadly,... Covid does not discriminate....Having put forward our honest review, it is a lovely pub with very good food.... Did we feel safe??? we will leave this open....

We at here when vising some family who are local and some use this pub frequently. The food and service were excellent. We were not rushed but felt looked after by the staff. We skipped starter as we wanted desert but the portions were huge, good quality and tasty. We ate a a few different places during our weekend away all priced around the same and this was head and shoulders above all others. Will be going back next time we visit.

Had a delicious meal here at The White Heart using the Eat Out scheme. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful scenery as the sun went down. Friendly and helpful staff and very relaxed atmosphere. You can tell that the staff enjoy working there which is always a good sign! Great vegetarian options and the chocolate ambassador pudding was something else! Good value for money - do not hesitate to drop by if you are in the area!

Ate here using Eat Out Scheme. We hadn't booked but were shown to a table in the garden. However before entering garden, we were asked to sanitize our hands and then very politely taken through their Covid measures.We couldn't fault the food. Thoroughly enjoyed my fish pie.We will return.

All tables booked which says a lot. We had booked & there was a waiting time for food, not surprised as there were so many people. We were kept informed of this by friendly staff. The food was extremely filling & the taste was wonderful. All of us were very happy tonight.

We had our first meal out as a family on Saturday 25th July. Right from the start in entering the restaurant we were out at ease as our host explained the simple Covid secure rules to keep us all safe. Food was excellent, service was friendly and attentive and there was a lovely atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.

My mother and I went for lunch on Monday. As mum hadn’t been out for 3 months it was really comforting to be taken through their safety procedures, in a professional but friendly way. We both had the fish and chips which was excellent, beautifully cooked and served. I wish them every success in the future and hope that the locals will come back and support this fantastic pub.

Booked for Sunday lunch with a large party and several small children. The menu is outstanding with a good selection for the vegetarian members of our party. Large portions served quickly. The staff were really helpfully and we were well looked after.

Fabulous place - old world charm meets modern - great menu - lots of choices, good portion sizes too - locally sourced ingredients for most of the dishes (maybe all the dishes, I’m not sure). Had a very nice lunch today the game and bacon pie was full of meat and very tasty.my wife had crispy chicken with sweet potato chips which she said was very good followed creme brulee which she said was the best she had ever had and a very generous portion I had the cheesecake and for the 1st time was unable to eat it all as I was so full.on the whole the staff were friendly and the whole meal was value for money

Often you get fed up of turkey at Christmas - so many pre Christmas events to attend. When I went here I had been disappointed twice in other places by the alternatives to turkey - bland and second rate. But here there were several delicious looking alternatives and my friends and I between us had one each - they were first rate!

I have been going to this pub for lunch for years a couple of times of year with a friend when I am in the area and always found it excellent. However, this last visit although the food remained the same good quality the service was not good. The young waitress was pleasant but forgot about us. After waiting 10 mins from our main course plates being removed I had to go and ask for a menu of an older waitress who was brusque to the point of rudeness and then had to go and order at the bar as nobody bothered to come and get our order, also we were not offered coffee at the end of our meal. Very disappointed.

As welcoming as a pit of vipers! Ordered a pint of Adnams and 2 cappuccino’s which was really watery and was asked for a replacement. In the end we opted for tea. This was served at the table quite abruptly and was just warmer than the pint of adnams. The beer proves to be the best choice! Will not return.

Top notch, very tasty large portions seved with a smile.... will be back, you can count on it . Good choice of beers, lovely garden area and swings and frames for the kids, lovely 😁

We visited the white Hart Sunday evening (22nd) and well what can I say... To start with the food was excellent I had the fish of the day and my other half had the beef stew pie both absolutely delicious! Secondly and to me the most important, the service! We were greeted by a joyful young chap at the bar who was very polite yet with great humour which is very rare in youngsters nowadays. Then served by a just as lovely lady with blue hair (which my wife loved) who was very friendly with an upbeat attitude. Not forgetting the young lad who served our food who was on his second shift (as he told my wife) he again was very polite and made sure we had everything we needed. The staff made a lovely atmosphere being chatty and jokey but with professionalism. Will definitely be visiting again! Thank-you white Hart.

This is an excellent pub/restaurant. The food is delicious and plentiful. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Love the big fire place and great views across the fields. Highly recommend this place.

We had a lovely meal here lunchtime the food was generously portioned and my Mushroom spinach and cashew nut lasagne was very tasty also sweet potato chips option. My husband had seafood pie with puff pastry also tasty. The deserts also very generous portions overall a good meal at a fair price.

Took the family Of 7 here for my daughters 18th Birthday,booked on the day and had a lovely meal,that was piping hot(rare these days) tasty and the staff we’re attentive but not in our faces.we are definitely coming back,well done White Hart.

Large family table here for a meal for my 40th, it was amazing start to finish - all the stars! Would recommend the food.

The service was very professional but not particularly friendly but as alway the food was well cooked and plentiful.You never leave feeling hungry and all at a reasonable price.

Visited the White Hart for lunch with my wife and a friend. Hadn't been here for several years and was pleasantly surprised with the way the pub had been updated. The food was excellent as was the menu and the service. I would thoroughly recommend the White Hart and will certainly be going back again soon.

My husband and I were visiting Diss on a day trip and stopped into The White Hart for lunch. We parked and walked into the pub in the pouring rain with our very small dog. The barmaid was serving someone else when we walked in. She looked up and the first words she uttered were ‘NO DOGS!’ Firstly, we were astonished that the pub had a no dog policy but mostly we were appalled to be greeted in such an aggressive and unwelcoming tone. We said we would sit outside under the smoking shelter as it was pouring. The barmaid continued to be unhelpful and very short with us when asking questions like ‘What is a French roll?’ Apparently this is a white roll. Coming from Essex we had never heard of white rolls being called this before. Perhaps it’s a Norfolk thing? Anyway it seems that we continued to offend. The waitress who ventured outside with our food was very pleasant and the lunch was also good but, on reflection, we were made to feel so unwelcome we wished we had gone somewhere else.

We have been to the White Hart so many times and the food is always delicious. Most of the staff have happy smiley faces and are very friendly. The food always comes out quick and is always of a high standard. The only one 'complaint' that I would have is that in the warmer weather it is so hot inside. We came as a group and sat in the 'side room' to the right at the end of the bar and there was no air flow and no windows that would open so we were melting in there - maybe a tower fan in the corner of the room for hot days could help?

Good value meal with good service. Special mention of the Creme Brulee which was lovely. Slight disappointment that the coffee machine was out of action, the cafetiere I was served was not up to the rest of the high standard that day.

As a group of 4 we stopped off at Roydon's, The White Hart pub without a booking just before 6pm. Whilst we managed to get a table in the empty dinning area, it was not long before others arrived to completely fill out the dinning area on a Monday night. Our dinner orders were taken and having been served delicious meals, I can understand why it packed out so early. We all enjoyed great pub meals, Worth another visit in the future.

Good food menu choice very extensive,good for familys , best to book at weekends, some outside seating parking plentyful, they also have good selection of beers and wine.

The welcome was warm and friendly and Georgie who served us is a huge asset to the establishment.

The White Hart is a lovley old Pub, orignal parts about 500 years old, where you can get a good meal (you need to book in advance on Sundays) and a drink. Lovely veiws over the Waveney Valley. Just 5 min walk from Diss Rugby Club and just over 10 min drive to Bressingham Steam Museum. Very friendly staff.

I was really impressed with the staff from the White Hart Roydon today, when they acted with compassionate and kindness after a customer fell ill. The service was delayed while staff attended to the man who was very sick and a ambulance was called. The staff apologised for the delay, not that we as customers required an apology . The staff were very professional and remained calm through out. They continued to take orders, bring food to the rest of the restaurant that was unaffected. Food was fabulous as usual. We always have either the prawn open sandwiches or prawn jacket potatoes. The prawns are really plentiful. My husband also likes the scampi and I sometimes have the sweet potato fries. Lovely food. Plenty of outside tables and a play area for children.

Popped in for dinner and we were really impressed with everything! The staff are really friendly, lovely setting and freshly prepared food was delicious! If you are visiting and like fish , try the East Coast Pie with puff pastry, new potatoes and vegetables, delicious!!!! We would highly recommend this place!

Having dropped in on an early evening whim a couple of weeks ago and been impressed, we decided to give this great little pub a second try. It was not without trepidation, as I’ve been let down like this before, I.e. inadvertently catching a place in a purple patch, being wowed then returning with great excitement only to be disappointed when you hit them in their regular state of mediocrity. No such disappointment here. If anything it was decidedly better the second time around. I can’t recommend this pub highly enough. Really, really good food ( I had the venison steak from the specials board - awesome!!). Lovely ambiance and super staff. Thank you so much to the team behind a lovely evening.

Been back here. First time since the sticky tables saga and am very pleased to say that they must have changed their cleaning agent, as the table was not sticky this time. In fact everything was wonderful again. Food, service and table. Well done.

I had phoned and booked a table for a Sunday afternoon, I had asked for a window table and double checked that roast dinners were on and I was told that it was all good and to be there for 3pm.

We has a group lunch at this pub and it was my first visit. The menu is huge as were the portions when they arrived. They offer a lighter menu but these dishes still come with a choice of potatoes and veg or salad. The food was universally good. We had no room for pudding unfortunately. More unfortunately the coffee was awful - such a shame.

This wonderful building has so much character inside. Plenty of old beams and a wood burning stove. We had a very nice lunch of jacket potatoes with prawns and salad, and some scampi. The prawns were plentiful and delicious. Not too keen on the crème brûlée in the cup. I prefer it in the more traditional dish.

We were looking for somewhere to have a nice pub lunch, we chose the White Hart at Roydon. It was very welcoming friendly staff with good beer and great home cooked food, the portion size is on the generous side as well. We would highly recommend it. Will definitely be heading back.

Today 16 of us had a surprise birthday lunch for me (I knew nothing about it until I arrived at the pub).

Met up with family for a pre Christmas meal. The exterior looks promising for the summer months. The interior is beautifully styled and decorated. The open fire is such a feature.

Excellent food brilliant service , squeezed us in without booking , thanks definitely 5 star highly recommended . Would certainly return

Truth is, I drive past pubs all the time and think, "Wonder what that place is like?" and The White Hart was one of those. Except, on Sunday 2nd December, I met up with a group of friends and we actually went in! It seems the place is popular, with drinkers and eaters alike. And by the time we left (about two and a quarter hours later) we knew why that's the case....because its really really good! Good selection of beers, a really good menu - plus Sunday Roast and a Christmas menu too! I was was driving I only had a pint of Doom Bar....but then I could allow myself to have a dessert. Food took about 15 mins once ordered, perfectly acceptable considering almost every table was full. I had Christmas Elizabethan Stew - Beef cooked with onions, chestnuts, ginger, cumin, nutmeg and prunes (it came with a herby scone, vegetables and a choice of potatoes) which was terrific, full of flavour - perfect for winter! I had White Hart Meringue for sweet....just about room for it and not sickly either. The pub itself is a period building, low ceilings, exposed beams and looks every part a good traditional pub should. It has a fair number of regular local drinkers but the bulk of business looks like it is from diners....both bookings and walk-ins. Staff were friendly, but a bit rushed and a little distracted a times, still it was busy and they would have had their work cut out looking after everyone, so we weren't worried. We all had a good lunch and I would certainly like to visit it again.

Just back, meal lovely cannot fault the food, but the service is awful, chips delivered and thrown at one of our party. No one else in there apart from our group, stay talking at the bar we had to ask them to serve us, then half the desserts came out they had to ask what was missing , by the time they brought ours everyone else had finished. Then the owner was so rude when we asked to pay individually, he overcharged me, not sure about anyone else, then argued over an orange juice which was then paid, but we had to wait like naughty school children to make sure we did nt leave owing anything. The last time we went as a group they added a meal o to our bill and we nearly paid for 14 meals when there was only 13 of us. I have to say I won't be coming back. Absolutely disgusted and this was a member of staff s leaving do. How bad is that.

We visited twice whilst staying in North Lopham for a week and were impressed each time. Firstly, by the range of food on the menu, secondly the big portions and thirdly, the extensive gin menu. The log burner was an added bonus. Would 100% recommend.

Took the family for Sunday lunch whilst staying in the area, we were not disappointed. One of the best Sunday roasts I've had in a pyb. The veg was freshly cooked- not your usual frozen type- and the Yorkies were amazing- and the beef(or Pork) was melt in the mouth. All with a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Family celebration, five adults and two children. Service was excellent, food was superb with very generous portions. Staff were brilliant , and helpful. Good depth in menu choices for both adults and children. Also comprehensive list of specials. Travelled 70 miles and worth the journey. Good value for money also.

We visited this pub last night with a couple of friends. As soon as you walked into the pub you could appreciated a warm and homely atmosphere. The staff were friendly and extremely efficient and polite. The meals were absolutely superb - not just good, *really* good. All food was cooked beautifully, portions were generous and staff were extremely accommodating with personal preferences. The meals were served in an unhurried but timely fashion.

Great food,friendly staff,very reasonable prices.Definitley recommend the steak.Will visit again on my next trip to Diss.

We popped in at 5pm for a meal on a Tuesday and most of the tables were already reserved. The food and service were great - try the sweet potato chips.

First time at this pub & it was very enjoyable most of the staff were very friendly the lady who served us was in my opinion slightly abrupt when taking the order ,good quick service nice chilled wine but had a problem with the sticky table not very pleasant,would like to return as only minor hiccups didn’t spoil the day .
