The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

All meals were excellent except one. One member of our party needed a gluten-free meal, and we were told it was. Sadly, that was not the case, and they had a severe reaction once we got home.

It's a great pub but 6.30 for a pint of Beaverton Neck Oil is not the one imo

Smart new decor, swanky cutlery, lovely staff but meal was tiny and average but nicely presented. Bigger and average would’ve been better. Strange cross as not pub grub but not restaurant standard either.

Visited in a Saturday afternoon. Food is advertised as available 12-3. Was quite busy , we asked when we arrived around 1.25 pm if we could eat and was told to find a table and they would take order from table. Lovely waitress come over after 5 mins to say they couldn’t take our order for twenty minutes. I can only presume this was because the chef was busy with orders but we didn’t get an explanation. The waitress did come back after 20 mins and took our order. Food arrived in reasonable time and was standard pub food , nice and reasonably priced. Once finished we struggled to get waitresses attention but when we asked for bill it was 15 mins before it was brought to us. The young waitress was lovely and polite and friendly just seemed she was overrun and could have done with someone to help her. Nice clean pub and reasonable food but don’t go if you are in a hurry and make sure you have plenty of car park time left.

Decent drink selection - has Beavertown on tap! Live music at weekends, decent stop on a night out

really nice food - lovely on a nice day - cant comment on the rooms as was only there for lunch

We had a lovely meal with some amazingly tasting food. Would thoroughly recommend this place. Our only concern was, it felt very cold in the restaurant at the lunchtime and we all sat in our coats till we had a coffee at the end, which was a shame!

Lovely pub, great vibe, friendly people and I was lucky enough to catch a great Ska/Reggae band, The Pride. Definitely worth seeing them 😁

Please see attached a recent menu. I had a lovely experience having dinner at this pub/hotel. I chose the sausages and mash for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with vegetables, as sausage and mash at other pubs I've been to doesn't come with any vegetables. The service was good and very quick. Didn't have to wait long for the food and drinks. Food was great. I definitely recommend visiting here.
