The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

Always love a visit to the Six Bells. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the food is delicious.

Unfortunately received a hostile approach I am black. think twice before going if you are of a different culture. What you should of asked is what was the experience I had when I entered your pub but instead you still replied to my review with a hostile approach disappointing. My review still stands.

Very nice stay here whilst working. Room was absolutely amazing!! bar and restaurant very nice. Only criticism would be breakfast is not served till 8am so I had to miss it as I needed to be at my first job at 8am! I think this is quite late for breakfast also some background music in the bar and restaurant would of made the ambience nicer.

A great stop off for food! The food was great, infact WOW! The bitter was good and staff pretty friendly, glad I used Maps to guide me here.

What a delight! Took my teenage granddaughter in for lunch. Food was great and staff so helpful and friendly. She enjoyed the experience so much she said “we must do this again, every other weekend nan”. Made my day. Thank you White Lion.

Really nice atmosphere on Christmas Eve

We often visit with friends for speed quizzing but this was the first time we have brought family with us for Sunday lunch. Lee the landlord was so brilliant with my granddaughter. He put her at ease and engaged in conversation with her. Lunch was great as usual and we find the friendliness of Lee and his staff absolutely wonderful.

Nice pub to watch the football or horses on the tele. Standard selection of food and draught beers.

The food was good but service was incredibly slow. I was disappointed really.

Great food but needs to be on a bigger plate

There were three of us who enjoyed a fabulous Sunday roast dinner. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and cheerful. We'll definitely be coming again. Lovely atmosphere.

Thankfully the refurb still left this as a real pub.I had been worried that it would end up with barrels with high chairs around them ,stupid prices and more wine than beer. This is a real pub, not something pretending to be one. Great staff and great beer at a reasonable price.
