Great food and wonderful service. We’ve been going to Ye Olde Greene Manne for years and it is still one of the nicest pubs in the area.

Great service by both servers . Very happy with the promptness and quality of food. I returned something I didn’t like and there was no quibble

Great that there’s parking and then a really nice welcome in a cosy venue and good pub food. Vegan burger was great. Sheila was a great hostess.

Had a great lunch. There is a wide choice on the menu with something for everyone. We had the beef and red wine lasagne and fish and chips both of which were excellent. Previously we have had the Penang curry which is also highly recommended. Desserts are so good and beautifully presented. Sticky toffee pudding .. a wow! Our waiter Sharon was particularly friendly and helpful and when we had an issue with redeeming a reward voucher it was quickly sorted out by the manager. All round fantastic food (hats off to the chefs) and great customer service . We shall return

Although it was a nice pub setting, service was poor. We ordered our starters and main together with our child’s main meal and asked for our starters to come with the child’s main to which it did. Disappointedly, we waited over an hour for our mains with not a member of staff in sight for us to ask what the delay was. After 50 mins or so, we gave up and asked the barman for the bill to pay for what we had. He said our main wasn’t far away but by this point we had lost our appetite. Waitress was completely disinterested even when taking our order initially. Would not recommend to any friends or family. Plenty of other pubs around which will give you exactly what you want for a casual meal out.

Came for roast dinner today and had the Sunday Trio, can honestly say the best roast dinner I have had and double chocolate brownie was delicious.Great pub too and friendly service will certainly come again

Very nice place for a chilling and friendly atmosphere. Also proper for friendly meetings. Good food and prices are normal. It is having a big parking place in front of the restaurant. Nice to give a shot.

We drove past this pub and thought it looked really lovely for a Sunday lunch. We were able to book a table for two on the day but wish we hadn’t in the end. We waited close to an hour for our food to come and the pub wasn’t even at full capacity? The waitress with a long pony tail had very bad customer service skills and when we complained about the wait, a lovely gentlemen offer to do something about the situation to make it up to us but never did. He watched us leave the pub. It clearly was a bit of a shambles that day as we over heard the tables close to us complaining about the service. Such a shame as it’s a lovely little pub!

Lovely private area for my birthday lunch which was great for my 2 year old son, the staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our lunch. Food was also great.

Cosy local pub with good selection of beers. Food was okay but the service was very slow. They had run out of fish and chips by the time we ordered but then it was quite late on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Lovely old pub. The gentleman serving at the bar friendly, the young lady serving ...not for hospitality environment ( not friendly). Otherwise, it is a lovely place and acceptable prices.

Met a friend here for lunch. The service was excellent, our waitress Lauren was most attentive nothing was too much trouble. Had a brilliant experience both the food and service were first class.

Great food and friendly atmosphere! Sadly the lamb was not available today so I, and another of us, chose the ‘Pie of the day’ instead; that being chicken and pancetta, accompanied with side vegetables and spring onion mash potato, which was most enjoyable.

Very nice, the roast dinner was perfectly done ,the wait for food and drinks was a unbelievable short wait the members of staff was polite and very friendly Overall I am impressed with the quality of the food and I will definitely be coming back

Been here before and always had a great experience not sure what was going on today - seemed chaotic the wait for drinks and food was ridiculous, WCs out of action for women and only one very dirty and unpleasant disabled WC for all the women / girls in the pub which was packed - the men in our group said the male WCs were also dirty and didn’t appear to be cleaned today - anyway not our normal experience , when the food came it was as lovely as ever but the experience today was poor and disappointing

Had a table booked for 15:00 for me, my wife and 2 babies under 2. Arrived at 15:05 to chaos, waited 25 minutes for my table, still wasn’t ready. Saw others get seated before us, even those without a booking. Had to leave in the end as children hadn’t eaten and were getting upset being stood round. When I asked the staff they didn’t seem to care and when I said we were leaving they just shrugged their shoulders. Not sure I will go back or recommend to others.

Really lovely lunch here. Nice friendly and attentive staff and made an effort to check all the food carefully as one of our party was gluten intolerant. This was appreciated. Nice atmosphere although our chairs were very tired along with the carpet - but I guess that shows that it’s a busy place. Plenty of space to park and nice gardens to sit out when the weather is nice.

This very friendly country pub,has an excellent range of food and drinks, the manager Jason was exceptionaly helpful,would highly recommend to all,the staff where extremely able and dealt with every issue without a problem.

Excellent service, very tasty meals. Peas were a bit dry on my wife’s meal, but quickly replaced by some very tasty greens.

roast dinner was one of the best, good quantity, very nicely presented on the plate, we got the seat that I asked for, so very happy about that, service excellent, Ratchell looked after us very well.

We had an enjoyable Sunday evening with family we all finished our meals completely Starters, main meal. We were happy with the service and the meals, the atmosphere was good. It's good to be able to bring our dog with us in a relaxed environment.

Our waitress was amazing! Really wish we got her name - young, slim lady with brown hair & an accent. She was so engaging with our 6 year old daughter and nothing was too much trouble for us. Her service was first class. We had a lovely table in a hide out area and was nice we could bring a dog with us. Food was hot, delicious and couldn’t be faulted and delivered in a good time. The menu for drinks was extensive. All in all very good value for money. Only one tiny thing to mention is it was a bit cold in the area we were in but we soon warmed up with hot food in us! Will def come back again.

Food was lovely and so is the pub itself. Just a shame the waiting staff seemed to be in such a bad mood. Even my boys noticed who don’t see anything!!

Had a delivery half did not turn up ruined an anniversary meal. Told to go and contact uber eats for a refund. After a ruined night there were no apologies felt dismissed

Had a delivery from here. When it arrived half the order was missing. Phoned the restaurant after several attempts( to get through, I was curtly told to go to derliveroo for a refund (I used uber eats) the meal was destroyed for us. Felt dismissed...

Was just passing one Sunday so dropped in for quick bite. Place was very busy but very friendly staff accommodated us on a table that was reserved for a little later on. We just had camembert to share and our son had Mac n cheese and fries. Food was great and main meals looked really good too. All washed down with a quality pale ale and a sauvignon. Hopefully we'll pass again one day.

Great Saturday visit with my three another friends. We were warmly welcomed back by The staff on our second visit. Attentive and friendly service. The food is marvelous, empty plates all round without a single complaint. Highly recommended

We as a family enjoy eating out and whitout a shadow of a doubt Greene Manne si a favourite local to eat at. Fab Sunday dinner. We had beef and lamb options. Roast potatoes lovely season and crisp. Beef was pink and a great flavour....

So went again today and Rachel our server was amazing. The food was nice but not outstanding. However we had a great evening, a great experience and that was mostly down to Rachel and her customer service. Happy to recommend. Sunday 2nd April 2023 and was served by Elle, she was absolutely delightful and very efficient. Sunday lunch was fine but some veg was ever so slightly under done for our liking but the meat trio was lovely. The new honey pot desert was ok but very sweet. If you sign up to the loyalty program at least 24 hours before you go there are some great savings to be had. The loyalty program is one of the best I have ever seen for a restaurant/ Pub. Still very happy to recommend. So nine months later and we are back !!! rachel our server seriously fantastic and the food was fine but I do miss the portal belly! Nice vibe and food was nice but ok our last visit the food was just slightly better So tonight is date night and thankfully we found a lovely pub which was absolutely lovely. Our hosts Bobbie and Rachel were amazing and our short beef rib and pork belly was fantastic. They had a great selection of drinks and more than that the vibe was amazing. I can happily recommend this as a dog friendly pub.

Popped in for a couple drinks after work and decided to have an early dinner. Food was nice and service from Sean was very attentive from start to finish. Thanks for a lovely experience!

The staff were pleasant enough, the food was lovely, the portions were too small though for the prices that are charged. Waited too long between main meal and dessert.

Very lovely pub service is always great lovely and clean... The only issue is the car park is all stoney and loads of pot holes and very badly lit could be very dangerous specifically when the pot holes get filled with rain water.. but the pub is very great food is lovely

Lovel cosy pub with reallt tasty bit reasonably priced food! Roast was good as was fish and chips! Garlic bread was also massive so good for the table.

Randomly saw this place whilst looking for somewhere to eat. Ate a delicious lunch at this old venue . Good atmosphere , two open fires and warm welcome from the staff and duty manager.Highly recommend

We had a family Christmas dinner here. The food was terrible, cauliflower cheese and carrots served with my pie were hard. The meat in the pie was tough as old boots. The prawn cocktail starter was also served with salmon which should have been better with just the prawns. They also charged a £50 tip. I will not be coming back here sorry.

We went for a cup of hot chocolate and pudding yesterday. We had a table at the bar area next to the fireplace and had a lovely time. The pub currently offers that you can pay forward for drinks at food which is a lovely idea. Information can be found at the bar. Hot chocolate came without cream on top. I am not sure if you would need to ask or if that is not offered but the drink and desserts were nice. We had the creme brule and brownie. The pub also offers plenty of parking.

Pros - nice atmosphere in general, friendly staff, food served quickly, generous portions Cons - no Christmas music playing just current chart music, tables not laid out very festively except for a Christmas cracker, hardly any candles on the tables and the ones which did have candles only.some were lit, brussel sprouts were watery, potatoes not crispy but the food was still nice although if a bit more effort was made it could have been better!

As we promised in our first review, we came for a second visit, this time with family for the Christmas festive menu. Served by the delightful Shiela, we were certainly not disappointed. Reception, service and food were exemplary. It is only a matter of time...

Good food, good service and great location.

Came on 3/12 for Sunday roast. I went for pie of the day and my partner went for turkey roast. The food was ok wouldn’t recommend the Malbec though. Unfortunately our experience was marred by the service we received. Waitress seemed to take a disliking to us straight away, was friendly and cheery to the table next to us but with us was pretty sour, barely looked up from her device. At the end my partner had to go over to get the bill and she told us to come to the bar to pay, not a big deal but seemed just for us and didn’t even get a thanks or good bye. Put me off coming again even though my partner had recommended it as he has come before and enjoyed it.

Nice olde world style pub with friendly atmosphere, the staff are attentive and helpful. The log fires create a cosy ambiance.

Perfect pub for a quiet and relaxing drink. Service was superb and attentive. Can’t rate the place highly enough. Nice warm fire on in the evening which I thought was a nice touch and cosy. Prompt service, good choice of ales on draught and food looked great too. Parking is plentiful and not a problem either. Very enjoyable experience.

Had a great Friday in this quaint pub. The staff were welcoming greeting with a smile & quick to offer a wide choice of drinks. Always find the atmosphere warm & inviting. Thanks to Simone who showed us that the brewery have a app which allows you to collect points for whenever you visit & can be used for both drinks & food. Definitely worth a trip

What a dull place , big sign outside saying welcome ? So why are you so dull with your customer? Service seemed like a chore , no wonder place half empty . More cars on car park than inside ? Food wasn’t special had better pizza at home . Your toilets are cold damp and stink . I have driven past this place so many times thinking I should pop in . Wish I’d just kept driving . Sad because it’s got so much potential. They obviously don’t care and just taking a wage.

We love this place. The food is fab (good choices), service is great, the people are friendly and helpful. On top of that, the pub is dog friendly, so we can enjoy a meal out with our daughter and her Frenchie. AND they have a special menu just for dogs. I haven't seen that at other pubs.

Lovely cozy warm pub. Lovely ambience. First time Going there with my partner. We had two duo of lamb …it was amazing! With all that’s going on in the world , you can still get a high quality pub meal, great value for money and good customer service!! Lars was brilliant !!! Only criticism is that you put some lighting in the car park to show people there is people inside!! Amazing otherwise 🤗🤗🤗

Nice atmosphere although the extention was a bit cold and glarey. I also felt the service was rather subdued. We ordered two magherita pizzas which had an odd taste to them but nonetheless enjoyable. Overall, an OK experience.

Visit on 19th October didn't book, after a long day needing some comfort food, it was pouring down with rain. The Barman gave us a lovely welcome and said we could sit wherever we liked, it wasn't too busy but there were few people eating. I opted for the Pie and mash and veg the waitress seemed a bit off while she took our order but our meals came quickly, the food was delicious the pie was hot. For pudding we had apple and berry crumble with custard, this was recommended by the waitress it was hot but not very nice. The waitress asked if we enjoyed our meal we said we had but the pudding was a little disappointing she removed it from the bill without any further comment. I would recommend this pub and will go back again. They also have a dog menu (never seen this before).

Enjoyed a superb Sunday afternoon meal at this cosy,warm and friendly pub restaurant with my partner. Food quality,service,the whole package was excellent. Would recommend this restaurant to family and friends and will definitely be visiting again.

It would of been 5 stars, but the chef got my meal wrong, I asked for no bacon in my meal and it came out with bacon on it! So because of that I gave a 4 star rating, the staff where lovely 😍

First visit for a Saturday light lunch. Excellent food but the most outstanding impression was the quality of the helpful staff. It was obvious that many of the customers were regulars by the personal greetings that they received. We shall certainly be visiting again, probably with family members.

The service was great and there was a fantastic variety of options on the menu. Something for everyone! It might be an idea to offer a set menu offering 2 or 3 courses for a fixed price. It might be helpful to people on a budget.

Although we arrived close to kitchen closing the staff were able to seat us and take our orders quickly. We had travelled all day and the friendly atmosphere was perfect.

This is a perfect place for a quality pub lunch, good food, good beer. Excellent staff.

We have never been disappointed at the Olde Greene Manne. It's a lovely gastropub, nice atmosphere and you always get a good welcome. The food was once again first class and the service was friendly, prompt and attentive ( thank you again Sheila). We have had lunches, dinners and Sunday roasts and we have always been very impressed.

Went out for a quiet meal with my wife, son and his fiancée. Sheila our waitress was amazing, giving us as much time as we needed to choose from the menu ( as we were chatting about wedding plans), always a smile and helpful. I had the fish and chips, others had home made pie and all were top notch. Prices reasonable and quality of food and service worth every penny. Many thanks.

Visited yest for friends birthday .my dietary requirements where very limited due to surgery ect.The staff went out of there way to accommodate my needs extremely helpful while being discreet. Brilliant pub will be going back soon .

We were greated by a friendly gentleman. Waitress was so kind and understanding of our dietary needs . My friend is on a very limited eating diet for medical reasons they were so helpful understanding and went out their way to make her evening enjoyable. They provided her with Toast and an apple. The rest of us enjoyed a Lamb meal and a dessert. We were so impressed with the service and quality of the food . We definitely be returning. We have discovered a great place to eat and drink.

Cannot fault the service here Not only did all members of staff ensure our table was perfectly positioned for mobility but when a member of our party got a nosebleed they rushed to our assistance. When after 25 minutes of nosebleed we requested a warmed up meal they instead got a fresh meal for him - how about that! Kind, courteous , professional and absolutely nothing is too much trouble !
