At the risk of exaggerating, I can certainly say that half an hour's drive from home I found my little paradise on earth. my favorite music, an atmosphere that invites you to relax and leave the world outside with all its problems and tribulations. A food that can be enjoyed and elicits moans of pleasure. and then, last but not least, the warmth of the fireplace which creates such cordiality, warmth and familiarity. impossible to resist the temptation to repeat the experience again and again. 5 stars absolutely deserved. impeccable service, delicious sweets and coffee. definitely recommendable.

Disappointed! We went out of our way to select a table that did not have a reserve sign on it. After sitting at our table for nearly an hour & purchasing multiple drinks, a member of staff plonks a reserved sign on our table. No conversation whatsoever & they walk away before we can say anything. I eventually catch the 'managers' attention (Shaun) who does apologise & said someone should have spoken to us asking how long we would like to have remained at our table. Very disappointed with our experience, felt very unwelcomed. I always thought this was a friendly pub, but now, not so sure!

Ordered chicken avocado and bacon salad, it was practically all salad. Starter was ok.

Went for Sunday dinner and the food was amazing.

Good food and service. We went for an impromptu birthday celebration for a colleague and they made it really special with candles and singing.

We visited on a Friday evening. We ate from the main menu which i must say was fairly comprehensive and interesting, I had lamb shank with a wonderful mash potato which was very flavorsome. The lady who served us was very nice attentive and efficient. This was our first time at this restaurant but not our first time to a pub in the Vintage Inn chain. Overall the evening was excellent and we will return. On closing I must point out that the car park surface is a disaster especially in the wet as it has many potholes and should be repaired.

We enjoyed our meal, we visit this place regularly if we want good food in a friendly place. Which accepts dogs this is the place.

I had a delicious prawns and scallops and garlic bread here by the fire with my Guinness. Kind staff, lovely welcome. I could recommend this pub & its atmosphere to anybody.

What a great experience! I was looking for a typical British place and came across this gastro pub. I was on my own and felt a bit apprehensive. But I had a lovely welcome from Scarlet who was very helpful and made me feel comfortable. I loved the food and the advice on wine. Highly recommended.

Great food. Cosy surroundings but alas we had to wait what we thought was an unreasonable amount of time to get asked for our first drink. We than had to go and find a waiter to take our order.

A little disappointed by the team's eagerness to see us leave, especially after having had to pay €100/person. It was Christmas but it's very average especially since we were with an elderly person who had difficulty walking

We had a lovely meal today. The food was good and the service impeccable, however it was absolutely freezing cold inside the restaurant area and we had to eat with blankets (which were provided by the staff) and coats on which spoilt the whole experience. I asked for the heating to be turned up and even if I was told that it had been turned up, it was still incredibly cold. We noticed we were not the only customers eating wearing coats. Needless to say we will not be returning during the winter months. Also, we wanted to order coffee at the end of our meal and we were told the machine was out of order! Overall not a very positive experience

I loved the amazing service from our server who was quick with the witty banter and great on menu knowledge - she also helped us take a lovely group photo at the end of the night by the Christmas tree. I wish I knew her name, because she was excellent! I also loved the Mojito she made extra sweet for me, and the food was delicious! My favourite thing (and I’ve actually been dreaming about it since), was the blackcurrant sorbet at the end! Utterly divine, and so fresh! Overall, it was a wonderful evening with wonderful friends in a gorgeous new favourite pub! Thanks for having us!

Very disappointed with the burnt Sunday roast we was served, also had to wait ages to get served and the food was not up to standard potatoes, carrots, parsnips was burnt. Had to wait at-least 25mins for desert, had to send one brownie back as it was rock solid. The waitress was polite atleast that was something. To say the very least disappointed. To add to the disappointment we sat there in our coats as it was freezing cold. Even wearing our coats did not warm us up.

A really nice pub and the service was excellent. The food was well presented and tasty. It was just a little disappointing in that at least three items that we would have eaten were not available. And, the coffee machine was broken.

Nice cosy pub at christmas time. I visited with my 4month old twins. I ordered the lasagna it was delicious (highly recommend). Really accessible to enter with extra wide double buggy - wide door and ramp side entrance. I was served by Scarlett, she was lovely, really helpful.

We had a lovely festive lunchtime meal here today. The staff were rushed off their feet but they still made sure we were made to feel welcome. The food was tasty, very reasonably priced and had large portions. The menu was quite varied, lots of choice for everyone. The pub was clean and cosy with nice decor. We would like to go back in the New Year. The only downside was the many potholes in the large car park.

Had an absolutely cracking time at Ye Olde Greene Manne the other day! We’ve been popping in now and then for the past 15 years, but I’ve got to say, this visit was proper standout. The roast was bang on— our meat cooked to perfection, all the trimmings came out piping hot, and Scarlet, the new assistant manager, kept the gravy flowing. Unlimited gravy? You can’t ask for better than that! Scarlet seems like a total star. So friendly and on it, nothing was too much trouble. She even helped guide my mum with limited eyesight to the loo and back—such a lovely thing to do—and when we fancied moving to sit by the fire after mains, she sorted it straight away with a big smile on her face. Proper top service, you don’t get that everywhere these days. It’s people like Scarlet who make a place, along with the relaxed atmosphere and noticeably enjoying the grub more than we’ve ever done before, we know we’ll definitely be back soon. Cheers!

Warm welcome? Not a chance. Staff are too busy to say Hi or to help. Infact 5 members of staff around the bar could not point me and my family to a table for 12 minutes. It's customer service at its worse. We arrived at 4.15pm for our 4.15pm booking. We are told to wait. Multiple members of staff go past us, no other customers waiting to be seated, circa 5 free tables, yet we waited 12 minutes, only for a waitress to nod a signal to let us know we can sit at the table she just wiped, and left wet! At 4.31pm we asked a waitress if we can order starters - none of the staff are interested in serving you until you call them and even then you feel like you've asked for a miracle.A random waitress tells us that Rachel will come and take our order. Order is eventually taken by Rachel. The food is very good. Fish is outstanding and chips were a tad undercooked. Chirzo is outstanding, calamari is NOT very good. Look at the photos, it's poor at over £7. But the entire experience is ruined with rude, misserable and unhelpful staff who clearly need customer service training. Upon exit I ask who the manager is. Shaun tells me that he is the manager but does not proceed to enquire as to why I am asking. Whilst we were there, the table next to us gets drink delivered a long time after ordering with an appology from Shaun and I beleive on the house. In a seperate instance a lady is complaining around 4 members of staff at the bar. Whilst the fish was outstanding, £85 for 2 adults and 1 child is not worth the money for service which is absolutely pathetic at best. I would reccomend that the owner provides customer service training to all staff, including endeavours to ensure that ALL custoners receive a warm welcome with better communication and, god forbid, a smile!

Very nice plate of fish and chips and a decent pint of Doom Bar. Friendly service. A nice place for a pub lunch, not flash but welcoming.

The venue was a wonderful blend of rustic and modern, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was scrumptious, and the desserts were yummy. The roast dinner was amazing. I had the vegetarian option and couldn't finish it because the portion was a good size! My friend had the meat option and absolutely loved it, too. Our waitress, Ellie, was fantastic. She was attentive, kind and helpful without being intrusive. The menu offered a good selection of vegan and vegetarian options. I would definitely go again.

Unfortunately the pub has been neglected in recent times. The toilets are a disgrace and they need completely refurbishing. The general area appears to be in need of a good clean. The staff are friendly & there are a choice of beers available. There are better places in the area

So haven’t been for years Pub is dated Lock on ladies toilet door non existent Worst frozen manufactured calamari ever and turned up cold only had a little Veg curry was ok but more rice than veg but tasty. Waitress was good Would not go back

Visited for a Birthday Meal on Saturday. Food was reasonable, although the waitress got our drinks order wrong and there were no teaspoons? Prices have definitely gone up since our last visit, and I'm not sure there was value for money.

Sean at the pub and his team were absolutely amazing and despite the restaurant was booked they absolutely accommodated us and service was fab …. Thank you ! We left with full belly’s and a huge smile on our face , definitely be back and glad it was a last minute walk in for us ! Worth it on all levels.

The choice, value and quality of the food was excellent. You could improve the car park though - after heavy rain it was quite treacherous and uneven. There didn't seem to be any disabled person parking bays.

I went for the traditional haddock and chips. There were four of us, each making a different choice off the menu. This was not my first visit to Ye Olde Greene Manne, however, it was for the others. We all said we would return and had preferred it to another 'Vintage Inns', that we had been previously.

We went for lunch yesterday and as ever the staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We always enjoy having a meal here. It’s become one of our favourite local pubs.

It was quite busy and not enough staff. We only ordered snacks and it took at least an hour to get them. ordered the steak baguette and in one half it only had 2 pieces of steak in it. Not happy writing this as usually the food and service is great. This is not a reflection on the staff as they were working very hard.

I came here the other day and was served by an absolute star of a waitress. She was so patient and delivered absolute top notch service. I believe her name was Mihaela. The food was good and the whole experience was amazing. Will definitely be returning.

Have been coming here for years off and on . More on now than off thanks to Sean who makes THE BEST Long Island Iced Tea cocktail bar non ,and we have travelled all over the world let me tell you . The staff are all friendly and can’t do enough for you but Sean goes the extra mile ,warm ,friendly ,welcoming and is clearly focused on excellent customer service . Thanks Sean and staff Very much appreciated the service and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend dropping in for a meal and a drink in the comfy chairs .See you guys very soon 👍

Descent pub with lots of parking and good cocktails and beers.

I met a friend for lunch here. Neither of us had been here before. Although we had not booked we were welcomed and a table found for us quickly. However once we were seated we had a very long wait for our lunch order to be taken - in fact I had to ask if we could order. It took an hour from us walking in to our order being taken. The service continued to be very slow and in total it took 3 and a half hours for us to complete our meal. There was also some items that had to be sent back as they were not what we had ordered. These were rectified easily but not quickly! The food was lovely and the staff were pleasant and it’s such a shame that the service was so slow as it really had a negative impact on our visit.

Comfortable surroundings and excellent service. Mihaela especially was very helpful and patient when advising on meal choices for a coeliac vegetarian. Our food was tasty and well cooked. We will be back!

Popped in for lunch while my other half was receiving treatment down the road at Mount Vernon hospital. Friendly staff and good pub food. I had the steak sandwich and, as I was driving, a zero alcohol beer. Mike looked after me.

Have just made our first visit to celebrate our daughters 50th birthday. The meal was very enjoyable and the customer service was outstanding by Michael. We would recommend Ye Olde Greene Manne.

I enjoyed a Sunday roast without booking. The staff was very helpful. They had a lovely room that was perfect for my party of 5. I will definitely come back!

Sunday lunch with the family … Could not fault. Food was absolutely lovely.

Had a lovely lunch at the Ye Olde Greene Manne. The set menu for.lunch had lots of options even for vegetarians. The beetroot arancini was delicious and well presented as was the vegetable curry with pakchoi and rice. My friend loved his fish and chips. Service was great too. Lovely place to enjoy a nice lunch in the countryside.

Had the £16.95 2 corse menu before 5pm on a Tuesday, my hubby and I were very impressed with the food and service

Shaun, Michael and the staff looked after us terrifically over a period of two days and in particular looked after my dietary requirement which is Coeliac Disease i.e. no gluten. Food was great and service was outstanding, we will be back.

We ordered ribeye and Sea base which was really overcooked, drinks was good. The decoration really nice but service was terrible. But one unpleasant experience is that we were served by a man today. He came over to ask me about the quality of the food, but we happened to be chatting and I misunderstood his question and answered it wrong. I realized that I had made him confused and I corrected it immediately. After that, he spoke to us super loudly and had a bad attitude. Coming to the coveted restaurant, the service was a bit disappointing. There were also customers at the time when the bar was not busy, but the waiter urged us to eat in a bad tone. I only ate half of my dessert, and he asked me if I had finished... Because he put me in a bad mood, I just gave up eating. . What I can confirm is that no matter how much we like the decoration of this bar, we will definitely not come back again. Bad service will really ruin the mood of the guests for the whole day and the wonderful restaurant. Another point is that no matter how you treat your waiter, I always treat him politely.

Beef Roast was very nice, would love to have seen proper potatoes instead of new potatoes being used to roast, they were nice but you can tell the difference. The rest was very nice though 😌

Decent lunch with friend quiet on a Friday lunch time

The 4 of us went for the father's day roast. It was a set menu for £29.95 In general the service and food was good. The minor points they run out of the deep fried bree to soon. The potatoes in the roast were a little on the hard side and finally the starters an main came out of the kitchen on time unfortunately the desert was very late to the point that we had to ask somebody if they forgot about us. Appart from that a very pleasurable day.

We visited today.Lovely pub. Food was good but the service was very poor. Waited 30mins for a cup of tea. Ordered 2 mini desserts which didn't arrive Spoke to 2 members of staff to remind them. Neither of them came back to us to let us know if they were on their way or not! 5mins later they appeared by a different member of staff. Disappointing. I don't feel we will return because of the service although the food was very good!

Ordered delivery via Uber Eats & a few things were missing. Called the Resturant & they def deserve more then 5*, they had the missing items delivered ❤️ Apologies didn’t take the man’s name I spoke to, but he was def our hero, as you can’t have a Sunday roast without all the trimmings! The only thing I can suggest for a 5* + on the food; gravy quantity was a little small & if you could sell more pork crackling & sage & onion stuffing (sorry not a fan of the one you sell~ personal taste). Thank you was a lovely Sunday lunch!

The service was great and there was a fantastic variety of options on the menu. Something for everyone! It might be an idea to offer a set menu offering 2 or 3 courses for a fixed price. It might be helpful to people on a budget.

Good food and drinks selection. Warm reception from the staff. However we arrived at 1pm and didn’t eat until 3pm which was totally unacceptable. People were coming in after us and getting their food before us! Cannot understand why or how the poor processes allowed this to happen but unfortunately did and ultimately ruined a special birthday lunch

Good pub to go when it's sunny but no public transport. Only two ales. The rest are regular lagers. Not so cheap as London Pride costs around £5.

Had a light lunch, brie bites with chutney and a portion of chips. Food came , brie still hard inside and no chutney. Went inside to enquire of waitress, was told she must deal with serving coffee first although my meal was getting cold on the table. Was informed there was no chutney, they had run out I requested a manager Was informed , he / she was not working today. A pleasant young man did arrive and did refund the brie bites but I had to follow him ( I walk badly and with a stick ) and got the bare minimum of the bites back. A return visit is not foreseen.

As it was a bank holiday it was busy despite the weather. It seemed that the restaurant was understaffed and they looked stressed. Ellie our kitchen staff member was very nice and polite. We did wait a while for the starters to arrive including the top up of bread we asked for. One of the main dishes the sea bass with was not warm enough and the potatoes overcooked. The kids burger meal was average - not as flavoursome as expected. Overall a pleasant establishment and would return for drinks in the summer.
