We love the staff and food at The Chippy. Very Accomodating for celiacs with batter and separate fryer. Even have suitable vinegar for celiacs. Food is cooked from fresh to order. We come back here every time.

Visited on a Saturday night with a friend and the minute we walked in we knew we would love it. The smell of meat cooked over fire bought out the Fred and Barney in us and we were hooked. We both had the smoked mutton taco which we could have eaten a dozen of followed by the pork chop which was charred but never burnt and the fat just melted in your mouth. Star of the show is Brian who we’ve know for a while and his excellent choice of wine went so well with the meat and his hosting makes you glad you’re there. Bone marrow doughnut for desserts each which are sickly sweet but delicious, another ‘accidental’ bottle of wine to end the night and we left highly content. Ok, so sides are a bit pricey for what you get but they have to make a living right? Great place, great night. Will be back.

I recently organised an afternoon tea baby shower at Papillon Coffee House - From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and we had a whole room to ourselves. They allowed us to get there early to set up decorations and offered to help set up too. The afternoon tea was amazing and everything was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend Papillon Coffee House for any event, especially a baby shower. The ambiance, service, and attention to detail made it a really special day for the mum-to-be and all the guests. Will definitely be back in the future!

We searched up a place to eat in Chelmsford before our 3 hour journey back home and bumped into this spot. We arrived to a very clean restaurant, empty but pleasant. The waitress was welcoming and offered a good service. The food was a good portion, made to order and tasty. Would recommend it! Toilets facilities are also very clean.
