Absolutely amazing as always. By far the best Indian in town. The chicken korma was full of flavour and the chicken cooked to perfection. The onion bhajis were super delicious also. If you are thinking of dining in I'd highly recommend booking a table so you don't miss out.

Pros - delivered early. Partner's Chicken Korma was decent. Cons - I asked for a veggie biryani and a garlic and onion rice. Got 2 tubs of Biryani, no garlic and onion rice. Ordered "butter" curry sauce to go with Biryani. Got something that strongly resembled Korma. Which I detest. Had to put curry powder in to make it edible. How do take aways get this basic stuff wrong? Like: I place and pay for an order, send me my order. How hard can that be? Incompetent. Won't be using again.

Skinners is one of the best fish and chip shops I’ve been to. The meals are amazing value for money - with the fish meal comprising of chips, a cod (very good size!), a side and a drink. This is enough to feed both me and my partner (the 1st time we went, we ordered an extra cod which we didn’t end up needing!). I’ve been in there twice and the 2nd time the staff recognised us and made a real effort to speak to us and recommend other places in the area for cake and sweets. The quality of the food is amazing, the best fish and chip shop I’ve been to - nothing left to say really.

August 22nd, 2024: Awful awful overpriced fish and chips, £10.00 bag of undercooked batter and rehashed from lunchtime chips, inferior quality of fish, I don't belive it was cod that they served me. What a shame as it used to famous for excellent fish and chips fried to perfection. Look before you buy and if batter looks really thick on outside of fish then you can be sure it's snotty on inside. Never never will I visit again.

Food and service were absolutely great with friendly, attentive, and very polite staff without being intrusive. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had two lamb shanks, one belly of pork and one smoked haddock. The only downside was a table of 8 very close to the four of us who, through their noise level, rendered a conversation virtually impossible. I realise this is not the fault of the staff, but it did detract from the excellence of everything else

Sunday lunch at Maurizios . My first visit. A starter pizza was excellent, the side salad too. The pastas portions were generous but very average. Given a pack of spaghetti and a bottle of sauce, I am sure I could have done just as well The atmosphere was spoilt by very shouty diners close by making it almost impossible to speak. We did not stay long and were glad when we had finished our meal and could escape the din. The inconsiderate behavior of customers is not the fault of the restaurant, but they should try to keep a lid on such bad behavior and seat larger parties at the far end of the restaurant leaving small groups to enjoy their meal in peace. I will return one day for their pizzas and salads .

Food was never delivered. Had to collect myself after a 2 hour wait. No communication from restaurant or just eat.

Fabulous Old Pub , Log fires ,Real Ales ,Lovey traditional food , a favourite.
