Great food, great service (we ate in). Batter was lovely and crispy 😋

The place is nicely decorated and clean. The toilets are very clean and have matching accessories the only downside was no baby changing area. The young man who served us was very helpful and polite also attentive, overall a good place to eat.

It’s exactly what you want from a fish and chip shop.

Lovely chips, and the fish cooked well. Big portions. We ate inside and the restaurant was tastefully decorated. Gluten free available. Recommended.

One of the best fish and chips I've had. The battery was wonderfully crispy, and light. I've had soggy and greasy fish and chips in the past, not this one. The batter also tasted lovely. The haddock was fresh and juicy inside. Wonderful mushy peas too. Our children left clean plates. Loved the decor with a shabby chic style, and the service was top-notch. I would definitely recommend. I wish I lived closer, this would be my go to!

Popped in for a lunchtime snack on the go. I have rarely seen a restaurant as clean as this one. The toilets would grace a 5 star hotel. For a little old chippy in the high street, this plaice (sic) is wonderful. And good food and friendly service to boot.

Brilliant Fish and Chips. I ate in and had the Lemon Sole n chips. Place is clean and tidy. Staff where friendly Alicia and Tommy. Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend. Halloween 🎃 decorations are a nice touch.

Die besten Fish&Chips seit sehr lamger Zeit. Es lohnt sich, dafür extra hier hin zu fahren. Die Mitarbeiter sind überaus freundlich. Es war toll hier. Und die Portion war echt riesig.

Premium prices for the restaurant but premium quality. Generous portions, especially for the kids and very very tasty.

Took a while to get served - didn’t seem to notice us. Then had to wait nearly 30 minutes. Staff chatting amongst themselves and then seemed to realise they didn’t have any chips in, making the wait even longer. Food fine when we finally got it, but won’t be going back.

Terrible! I had to wait 30 minutes for a cod and chips. Then the cod was over cooked, batter was nearly burnt and the fish was tough and chewy. The chips were cold. And it's more expensive than other local fish and chip shops that are far better quality. Not going there again!

I regularly come to Lowestoft to visit my cousin. Discovered The Chippy on my last visit and it was gorgeous. This visit was determined to try out the restaurant side of things. It was brilliant. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and great service. The staff are wonderful. We where served by a young man who was polite, served us with a smile and knew his trade well. We will certainly be back again.

Lovely gluten free battered cod and chips. Made to order so really fresh. Batter was crispy. Decent sized portion too.

A fantastic chippy. We ate in and the service was quick and very friendly. The chairs have cushions which made all the difference for a comfortable meal. Food quality was excellent, we will definitely use them again the next time we visit the area. 100% recommended 👌

Got to be the worst chips I have had Over cooked and greasy

Visited for the first time last night, decided to eat in. The restaurant is lovley and clean,spacious and lovley decor. We both ordered the cod and chips, with a side order. Arrived and looked nice and fresh, the cod was very tasty, the chips nice and golden. Both accompanied by mushy peas. Really nice , well portioned meal. Unfortunately meal let down by the waitress, who shoved a tray on the table, to remove my partners empty plate, I was still eating my meal. I felt rushed into eating the remainder of my meal, in fact I didn't finish it. Would have been nice if she had waited until we had both finished our meal.

First time visit, ordered fish n chips which were cooked to order. Friendly staff. Sat on the seafront, and they were delicious. Would recommend 👌

Lovely gluten free fish and chips

The chips and sausages are well-cooked and very tasty. The staff are very friendly and chatty. The building is kept very clean and tidy too. I would recommend this chip shop lots.

Visited this place for the first time earlier this afternoon, was not disappointed! Very friendly service, food freshly cooked & tasty. Looks really clean & nicely decorated inside too! & they didn't mind my dad & I using the toilet whilst waiting for the breakdown people to come fix our car! Always great food here. Nice and fresh and good quality ingredients. Would have been nice if the server/cook had just said, "be with you in a minute" or something to that effect as he went off to put a fish in for the previous customer. I felt a little ignored but I'm sure it was just an oversight as he was friendly when he did serve me

Greasy old chips, soggy pies, small thin tasteless fish, watery curry sauce only thing I enjoyed was the battered sausage sorry for the bad review but this place changes in quality every time I visit .. I have had some good meals here in the past but the last couple of times I've been disappointed.

Really tasty gluten free battered fish and chips with a good range of fish options. We liked that there was a small portion of chips available which was just the right amount and didn’t leave us feeling over full. Lovely sit down meal and the staff were friendly, helpful, professional and courteous. Would definitely go back.

My dad god rest him wanted fish n chips from here 2/3times a week he said it was.best in lowestoft, n I go there at least once a week fabulous

Really delicious! Just had 3 large sausages and a large chips for £7! Sausages were huge and the chips were real chippy chips! Clearly a family run business which is fantastic! Great value for money! Good job guys! Not many around now that actually sell proper fish and chips! Will definitely be back for more!

Definitely 'THE chippy'. Have been twice, both times for Seppings sausages and chips. In future, I will not be going anywhere else! Chips fantastic, and both time I must have been in and out in less than 2 min.Try it.

What a lovely restaurant. We sat in for a meal, the meal was wonderful, the batter was crispy and my son who is very fussy with his food said this was the best fish and chips he had! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Apart from taking 2 long for sausage and chips .over charging didn't ask if we wanted wrapped or open So they came wrapped wasn't asked if we wanted salt and vinegar..Did ask was told there was but there wasn't. Second time we been there on a month 1st time wasn't that impressed but we gave them another chance there won't be a 3rd

Lovely fish and chips. Also pies, drinks etc. takeaway or eat in. The eat-in restaurant area is really nice. Plenty of tables and seating. On street park outside. Very close to to main beach in Lowestoft. Highly recommended.

The chips are cooked in beef dripping and are the most tasty chips that I have had for years. We sat by the sea and dipped our chips into glorious steak pies whilst watching the boats return to the harbour. It doesn’t get much better than that! Will be returning to try the ‘proper’ sausages from a local butcher. This is a traditional, high class fish and chip shop that really stands out from the rest, providing high quality food without breaking the bank. Highly recommended.

Honestly can't recommend this place more! Had cod, chips and curry sauce and was out of this world! Also the young lady working was on her own but was so organized and great! Will not be going anywhere else from now on.

Just been, wont be going again, cant put S&V on ya own food only chippy I know in Lowestofti know that wont let ya, chips was soggy & warmed up l couldnt even eat them all, my friend gave me a spare sausage had to go in the Bin as was cold & tasted horrible
