Marriott's Warehouse in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

Really lovely place to visit! Then location is beautiful, the restaurant itself is also lovely. Great food, with an extensive menu, really nice atmosphere, and brilliant service. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The atmosphere was wonderful with a live singer, the music was rather loud but there was a pause between songs allowing you to have a chat while eating. The set menu had some great options on it and a nice selection of custom cocktails as well. I will definitely be heading back as soon as I can.

Lovely experience, great food, and a beautiful old building. The portions are just right, and service was faultless. Will certainly be back!

As a last minute valentines booking we didnt expect to find such a fantastic place. From the ease booking and confirmation, to the the reception upon arrival, the service, the staff and the food everything was 1st class. Will definitetly go again, Kings Lynns finest eatery!

Valentines night - limited set menu but chose sharing platter which was excellent. Starters an desserts also very nice. Talented singer added to romantic atmosphere.

Refused service. Very nice location. Very polite to women, children, and accompanied men. Politically correct and follow the health and safety regulations and expect customers to comply. Staff do not welcome single men. I am not going back. Would you?

Went as a pre-booked fairly big party (18). They really struggled to serve us all. They couldn't cope with special requirements even though written down for them, well in advance too! I wasn't impressed with the way they were hassling 80 year olds to get into their seats even though it was obvious there were disabilities. It was also cramped with staff having to push past our party to serve others. In saying all that the food was quite good. For the future maybe they should think about booking a few less people in and train staff to have a bit more time for people with disabilities. The most worrying thing (as a person well experienced in fire safety) was that the two fire exits downstairs were blocked. One by a coat stand and one by another piece of stand alone furniture. A disaster waiting to happen in a restaurant.

Upmarket restaurant in a converted warehouse overlooking the river on two floors with a model exhibition on a third, with lift access. Great ambience, friendly and efficient staff and close to town centre. The menu was excellent, my steak was perfectly cooked, and my wife's seafood crumble was very tasty. The wine selection was adequate and reasonably priced. Would recommend it unreservedly.

They had some very detailed models on display upstairs which were quite fascinating to see, and various information boards about some of the locations in King's Lynn.

WHAT A NEW YEARS EVE!!! Had an amazing night and could not fault anything. Food was delicious and plentiful, Great party atmosphere. Highly recommend and will be back. Thank you to the staff for their service and festive spirit. Happy 2025.

We have visited a number of times now, great restaurant and location for Kings Lynn. Always friendly helpful staff. Good food and portions sizes. You can’t go wrong, always great choice on the menu too.

Excellent meal, service & atmosphere. We had the fish platter for 2, excellent choice, plenty of it , good selection of scampi, smoked salmon, fresh mackerel pate, breaded prawns, whitebait, with salad and rye bread. Followed up with Cherry Bread & Butter pudding with ice cream, and sorbet - both delicious. Open kitchen shows their confidence in the quality served. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

We had a very disappointing experience at Marriott’s Warehouse. Despite booking a week in advance with a set menu and time, the service was appalling. The starters were nice and unique (Salmon and soups), but there was an hour-long wait between starters and mains. It was clear the kitchen staff hadn’t received our order, as they looked confused when asked. The servers were lovely and tried their best, but the kitchen staff were clearly overworked, which reflects poor planning by management. For nearly £300 between 6 people (£37 per person for just two courses), we expected far better. Along with this the mains were lack luster for the price point. Along with the beef being chewy and some vegetables still being hard due to being undercooked. Adding to the frustration, we were moved to a cramped area near the front door because a DJ was setting up, despite our arrival at 7:20 and the DJ not starting until 9(which wouldn't have been an issue if they served us in a reasonable timeframe). This area was awkward, disruptive, and a potential fire hazard. We received no apology from the owner or compensation for the experience. Even after raising concerns, the only solution offered was a move to an upstairs table *after* we were already seated in the uncomfortable area. This was supposed to be a special family Christmas meal, but the poor service and lack of care ruined the evening. I would not recommend Marriott’s Warehouse to anyone. A meal at this price point with such bad service is unacceptable. We won’t be returning unfortunately.

We were in King's Lynn and decided to try the Marriott's Warehouse for breakfast. The food was freshly cooked and hot. The warehouse was a little chilly but it was a December morning. If you have the breakfast you won't need to order extra toast as it comes with 2 slices. The only criticism I would have is the bacon was very hard. Crispy bacon is nice but it was overcooked for me. Some people might like it like that though. Upstairs there is a model museum which was nice.

I go here a lot. Or used to. This is a classic case of management overstretch. I should start with a shout out to the waiting staff who, on the whole, are great. They are badly let down by the managment and now it seems, also by the kitchen. The menu here isn't complicated, which is good, but the ingredients have changed over time, mostly for the worse, as management seem to be favouring quick and cheap over quality. A case in point is the Seafood Platter. Once a great dish at this restaurant, has now become, at best, a menu filler. There used to be huge prawns, crab, languistine when available, great mackerel pate, a bunch of scampi and more. Now, you may feast your eyes on a couple of scampi balls, some bought in, defrosted, butterfly prawns and some whitebait. It's a mediocre dish at the same price it was when it sang to you. More recently we've experienced raw duck, and the kitchen told us it should be pink. Yep, I get that mate, but my partner definitely didn't order duck tartare. Nothing else said on this occasion and no offer to comp the half eaten, almost still quacking, unfortunate duck. More recently, ie, last week, a freind had the burger. This was overcooked by some way and should never have left the kitchen, but it did, and he didn't, no couldn't, finish it. I tried it and then reheeled my shoe with it. Not really of course, but I probably could have, and this is my point really. They got good. They actually got really good, and then they got really busy, shoved in some extra covers and, in a nutshell, they're not coping and they're skimping where it counts. So now they've got bad. And I've had to write this, and I desperately didn't want to. King's Lynn isn't awash with quality restaurants, so when one which held so much promise, gets this bad, it's time that the management had some feedback. They may heed it, they may not. But I won't be going again anytime soon. And I won't be recommending either, which is something I also used to do. A lot. I'll finish where I started, with a shout out to the front of house staff, as they really are swimming against it here. Sadly. I'll favor Mem's, for a while at least.

Really enjoyed dinner here. Great choice on the menu which made choosing really difficult. Service was very good and friendly yet also very respectful, which I think is a very difficult combination to get right, but here they had managed that. Food was well presented, good portion sizes and most importantly very tasty. I had scallops followed by a shared fish platter. The chocolate dessert was divine. Highly recommend.

So glad they were able to fit us in before the dinner rush as it was decided to go here after our road trip once we were in the area! We were celebrating our anniversary and my birthday. The service was professional and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious 😋 😍 will definitely visit when the days are longer and can enjoy eating outside with the view 👍🏽😊

My friends and I enjoyed our meal at this waterfront restaurant. I had the Seabass and requested mash instead of new potatoes. The sauce was gorgeous. The real letdown was paying £11 for a very small glass of non alcoholic proscecco. That was a real shame.

Had a family meal for 9 people , celebrating my birthday. It rare to go out and experience everything being spot on. The service was personal and professional and exceptionally friendly. All our meals were very nice and definitely no complaints at all across our 3 courses. Drinks being served throughout without having to chase. So in summery a great experience and we will be back. Wow once again the very best food. We did a 'picky' lunch..tempura prawns with chilli dip...chicken stripes with chilli dip....salad...chips and coleslaw. Everything was sooooo good. This is the third time we've been and it's always just fab. Molly our dog was looked after too. Jack brought her water. Thank you.

Lovely building, but the food was really disappointing. Both chicken mains were very dry. Very generous chip portions, and they did seem to make a good effort for one of our party with dietary requirements.

We dropped in for lunch after a family day out. We had full lunch and drinks. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had an autistic person with us who eats very specific items and they were very happy to accommodate. The meals were beautifully presented and were exquisite. We havent had such a wonderful meal out in a very long time. Portion sizes were good and left you feeling full. We will definitely go back again

Booked full breakfast for 4 people, not great presentation, sausage rock hard, beans cold, bacon good one end, barely cooked the other, mushroom not peeled before cooking (tough), toast was cold and hardly coloured so the butter didnt melt into it. The black pudding was only cooked one side. So to summerise will not be back for breakfast although the pint of Aspells was perfect, as were the staff front of house.

We were a last minute booking as the weather turned, as it can. The menu is extensive and they have a special menu- and this is on a Sunday afternoon! It was husbands birthday and he had not a Pina colada but a coconut colada I think- which he thoroughly enjoyed. We had the two dogs with us who were brought water bowls and happily snoozed under the table. The service was surprisingly quick despite how busy they were and our lovely waitress was charming, patient and accommodating. Upstairs is a model of the area from the past which is fascinating and lots of historic articles about the area. Well worth a look and if you perhaps eat a tiny bit too much like we did, you can have a stroll along the water.

Visited the old town of King's Lynn for the first time! Popped into Marriott's Warehouse for a quick bite to eat. Busy restaurant with a varied menu and some reasonable prcied items including sandwiches and omelettes. We went for the omelette which didn't disappoint. Speedy and friendly service. Also, dog friendly! Lovely setting on the Quay.

We came last night for a date night, I was a little skeptical after reading some of the views. But the whole experience and food itself was absolutely amazing, complete opposite to some of the reviews I’ve read! Our lovely waitress made our night so special, in conversation she found out we were celebrating being married for 6 months. Each course came with some cute little touches- Edible flowers, heart shaped bread, heart shaped shortbread and strawberries. They even mentioned how beautiful the sunset was and allowed us to eat dessert outside so we could watch it, and also took some pictures of us. Each course tasted and looked amazing, was some of the best food we’ve had eating out recently, honestly couldn’t fault it. Thank you for making our evening so lovely!

Just minutes from the West Lynn foot passenger ferry to take you across the Great Ouse river and only two minutes from the UK's oldest working theatre, St George's Guildhall.

Called in on the off-chance of a table for lunch for 3 people. They squeezed us in, all 3 meals were really excellent, speedy service but not rushed and super friendly serving staff. Definitely a big recommend!

Lovely location right on the water front. We only had drinks, no food, but it was reasonably priced for Norfolk. It was very full but there were still tables. The staff were friendly and helpful. If coming in a big group, you will need to book.

Driven by Lings Lynn and moaned about the traffic many times. No more, park up and have lunch at Marriotts. The whole quay area was much better than I expected, well worth a visit.

We were so looking forward to having our morning coffee at this place on a Sunday morning, around 10:30, that we were immediately put off by the music. Why not allow the visitors to enjoy the sounds of the surroundings especially on a quiet Sunday morning? Shame...

Lovely place and staff but I would have preferred less fried offer more fresh in starters and the fish too . But overall nice place

Heterogeneous overall picture: Pork Belly and Beef Medallion tasted pretty good, as did the fries, but the chicken skewers were unfortunately quite dry and the burger was completely without sauces and could therefore only be enjoyed with ketchup and mayo, which was ordered later. Unfortunately, the "crowning point" was the service: after asking for minutes at the beginning of our visit, things went downhill rapidly, only to send the very clear signal at the end that we would rather have finished work than serve another round ("we will close very very shortly"). It was just 9 p.m., two hours before the official closing time. Too bad... We then said a friendly goodbye and then got the last round at the next Späti. Emotional wellness ;-)

We actually ate here twice because we enjoyed so much. Staff were very friendly and chatty. Food was tasty, the fish platter I’d recommend. Price was reasonable and a lovely view over the river. The only downside was the road out the front was quite busy but we still thoroughly enjoyed

Never been here before. Had a few days away in Kings Lynn and wanted to try something different. Came across Marriots Warehouse on the waterfront and it looked good. Was lunch time so pooped in (no reservation as it looked as if there was availability) Spot on. Just had main and dessert. Brilliant. Fish and chips and cheesecake Mrs N had Scampi and posset with a couple of soft drinks. Great atmosphere, character and service. More tan likely will revisit.

The food is pub average, wines reasonable but an extra star for the welcoming staff with great service attitude, great atmosphere and an idyllic location in the old port by the river...perfect spot to sit outside whete there are plenty of tables, and to watch the sun go down on a warm summer evening. (I would say more noisy and frenetic indoors). The special vibe of outside eating was only sullied by the unbelievable bass speaker noise pollution of the next door's pub terrace. Still a worthy eatery in KL.

Had to go to ask someone to take our drinks order - I think we had invisible cloaks!!! The teriyaki tapas was cold and flaccid and the salt and pepper fried chicken strips were sadly short of chicken. Jalapeno with cream cheese was the best bit..

Arranged my mums 90th birthday party here at the Marriot warehouse and all was excellent. Really easy to sort out food and booking for the first floor. Staff really pleasant and very flexible on the day re timings. Food choices for 24 were pre booked and all arrived together as planned. All guests enjoyed their food choices and loved the atmosphere. Overall a perfect event.

I went there and I asked if I could have a drink and the front of house staff who was not interested said there’s no room downstairs even though there was. And he sent me upstairs pitch black no one in sight so I went back down and asked him if there would be anyone upstairs and he said yes so I went back up all by myself pitch black no one to be seen so I walked out. That’s the one and only place I walked out of

For a drink and sitting outside this is a great spot. For breakfast...this is average as. Price is cheap, but cheap and average food is not the reason you go out to a restaurant, ideal is both! On the flip, the service was friendly.

A beautiful little restaurant with a great ambience. There is a small, beautiful exhibition in the upper area. Free Wi-Fi and use of the toilet are possible and the people on site are extremely friendly.

Terrible service, can't rate the food as we waited so long that we eventually left (we weren't the only ones). Staff swearing about cars going past with music on. Not sure what happened to service with a smile but non existent here, none of them looked like they wanted to be there. Won't be going back

Having been here a couple times now, can safely say I won't be going again. The menu is ok on paper, the results are quite bland & uninspiring. Painful to pay for the meals 😞. The mushroom starter was miniscule. Avoid.

Went here for dinner. Everything was very mediocre. Given the prices are around £18-20 for a main I would expect much better. The meal I had was overcooked and underseasoned. The portions were generous but I'd prefer quality over quantity. The menu offers a lot of choice but perhaps too much for the kitchen to do any of it well.

We went 2 weeks ago for some lunch tapas and they were really good, with the service being really attentive and friendly. Naturally, we wanted to come back for dinner expecting the same quality of food and service. Unfortunately, neither was repeated. The fish platter was basically a tapas selection - which is fine, but should be named as such. Quality and quantity was fine, but nothing exceptional. The real let down was the seafood crumble - as shown on the picture, the potatoes and fish were drowned in sauce and swimming in oil. The crumble part was forgotten altogether with the excuse of the kitchen being "really busy" - which to me, is an absolutely poor excuse. Also, "seasonal veg" in July to me isn't necessarily broccoli and carrot, but I would've overlooked it if it were actually nicely seasoned instead of boiled without any taste. Might come back during lunch hours again since I did have a pleasant experience then, but definitely not for a nice dinner.

I cannot believe I'm writing this about Marriots. We drive over an hour each way to eat at this restaurant. However after our last experience 3 weeks ago, I did call them to express my discust on the behaviour of the young waiter and his views towards females and a female member of staff, A very hard working member of staff and always bubbly and just a lovely pleasant lady to be around, and I would say a very valuable member of staff! Banter At work is good gets you through the day. However when he comments/opinions on females in general saying you can't please woman. His worst action was grabbing/pinching a member of staff as she was working on the next days seating arrangements making her jump and scream out,OH! you made me jump. Not acceptable behaviour.. And observation of the actual owners they couldn't give a $hit what goes on or even interested in engaging with there customers and do not make an effort too even chat with there customers. And you can bet they won't follow up on this review like they don't respond to any others. AT NO POINT DURING OUR TELEPHONE CONVERSATION DID I SAY I KNOW THE MEMBER OF STAFF PERSONALLY. Either the waiter or Female supervisor.There are three other witnesses who can guarantee this did happen and did NOT! appreciate the waiters behaviour.Even the young waitress who was setting up the table with the waiter said, you cannot make comments like that anymore.This review had to be written for future customers to understand exactly what behaviour is taking place in your restaurant in 2024. And you couldn't brush it under the carpet. It was discrimination towards females,and I'm more than happy to take my complaint further out of house if you wish?
