Heterogeneous overall picture: Pork Belly and Beef Medallion tasted pretty good, as did the fries, but the chicken skewers were unfortunately quite dry and the burger was completely without sauces and could therefore only be enjoyed with ketchup and mayo, which was ordered later. Unfortunately, the "crowning point" was the service: after asking for minutes at the beginning of our visit, things went downhill rapidly, only to send the very clear signal at the end that we would rather have finished work than serve another round ("we will close very very shortly"). It was just 9 p.m., two hours before the official closing time. Too bad... We then said a friendly goodbye and then got the last round at the next Späti. Emotional wellness ;-)

Never been here before. Had a few days away in Kings Lynn and wanted to try something different. Came across Marriots Warehouse on the waterfront and it looked good. Was lunch time so pooped in (no reservation as it looked as if there was availability) Spot on. Just had main and dessert. Brilliant. Fish and chips and cheesecake Mrs N had Scampi and posset with a couple of soft drinks. Great atmosphere, character and service. More tan likely will revisit.

Had to go to ask someone to take our drinks order - I think we had invisible cloaks!!! The teriyaki tapas was cold and flaccid and the salt and pepper fried chicken strips were sadly short of chicken. Jalapeno with cream cheese was the best bit..

The food is pub average, wines reasonable but an extra star for the welcoming staff with great service attitude, great atmosphere and an idyllic location in the old port by the river...perfect spot to sit outside whete there are plenty of tables, and to watch the sun go down on a warm summer evening. (I would say more noisy and frenetic indoors). The special vibe of outside eating was only sullied by the unbelievable bass speaker noise pollution of the next door's pub terrace. Still a worthy eatery in KL.

Went here for dinner. Everything was very mediocre. Given the prices are around £18-20 for a main I would expect much better. The meal I had was overcooked and underseasoned. The portions were generous but I'd prefer quality over quantity. The menu offers a lot of choice but perhaps too much for the kitchen to do any of it well.

We went 2 weeks ago for some lunch tapas and they were really good, with the service being really attentive and friendly. Naturally, we wanted to come back for dinner expecting the same quality of food and service. Unfortunately, neither was repeated. The fish platter was basically a tapas selection - which is fine, but should be named as such. Quality and quantity was fine, but nothing exceptional. The real let down was the seafood crumble - as shown on the picture, the potatoes and fish were drowned in sauce and swimming in oil. The crumble part was forgotten altogether with the excuse of the kitchen being "really busy" - which to me, is an absolutely poor excuse. Also, "seasonal veg" in July to me isn't necessarily broccoli and carrot, but I would've overlooked it if it were actually nicely seasoned instead of boiled without any taste. Might come back during lunch hours again since I did have a pleasant experience then, but definitely not for a nice dinner.

I cannot believe I'm writing this about Marriots. We drive over an hour each way to eat at this restaurant. However after our last experience 3 weeks ago, I did call them to express my discust on the behaviour of the young waiter and his views towards females and a female member of staff, A very hard working member of staff and always bubbly and just a lovely pleasant lady to be around, and I would say a very valuable member of staff! Banter At work is good gets you through the day. However when he comments/opinions on females in general saying you can't please woman. His worst action was grabbing/pinching a member of staff as she was working on the next days seating arrangements making her jump and scream out,OH! you made me jump. Not acceptable behaviour.. And observation of the actual owners they couldn't give a $hit what goes on or even interested in engaging with there customers and do not make an effort too even chat with there customers. And you can bet they won't follow up on this review like they don't respond to any others. AT NO POINT DURING OUR TELEPHONE CONVERSATION DID I SAY I KNOW THE MEMBER OF STAFF PERSONALLY. Either the waiter or Female supervisor. There are three other witnesses who can guarantee this did happen and did NOT! appreciate the waiters behaviour.Even the young waitress who was setting up the table with the waiter said, you cannot make comments like that anymore. This review had to be written for future customers to understand exactly what behaviour is taking place in your restaurant in 2024. And you couldn't brush it under the carpet. It was discrimination towards females, and I'm more than happy to take my complaint further out of house if you wish?

My friend and I wanted to dine somewhere before going to the theatre and Marriotts is convent. Asking the very helpful, polite wait of I could have a dish made into a child's size portion I was VERY happy now because I don't like dishes too big. ( I had the seafood crumble , it was absolutely scrumptious and extra saucy as requested ). My friend had the fish and chips served with peas she had the curry sauce optional or tartar. She couldn't eat it all very good portions. Well ... moving to deserts . Words are not in my vocabulary. I had the lemon posset. Wow. If your a person that likes to freshen the palet after your meal... go here it is like an explosion in a dish. I REALLY enjoyed that it was fantastic.....enjoyed every mouthful. Tastbuds were on fire. My friend was amused at my expressions. She had the passionfruit tart but I can't speak for her but her plate was empty too. Overall our experience was most enjoyable. We liked it that much we went back on our way home this morning Monday 6th for breakfast again we arrived with a warm welcome. Their breakfast was delicious, and they had a fantastic selection of individual items, so you can make your own breakfast if you don’t want their set menu. Front of the house with walk-ins needs practice from the first impression it wasn't welcoming without reservation. Sat at table six. Avoid. Table placed too close to cash til and bar, and waiting staff squeezing by with drinks while til being operated. Food served quickly but with errors. Avoid the mushroom Bolognese linguini pasta. Didn't taste a bit of mushroom - had about 2-3 porcini bits in it. It tasted of well caramelised tomato, carrot and onion sofrito. Pasta not cooked al dente (two minutes over). Presentation very nice, edible plants on top a nice touch. Pasta size dish actually perfect, but I don't eat big. There was a lot of sauce and I couldn't eat it all, a good sign. I would have served with a slice of bread, to scoop the remains. The name of the dish needs to be changed. Doombar tasted off, or pipes need cleaning. Not asked if I'd enjoyed the meal. The menus are confusing, they place a cocktail and soft drink menu apart, so I'm looking for beer or wine. It's s in the main menu. Atmosphere is quiet and you can eat and chat without shouting, however paying over the odds for a gastro pub priced meal for wild mushrooms and not getting them is cheeky.

Booked a week in advance for evening dinner and received no confirmation so visited the afternoon before to confirm. The ‘manageress’ was unfriendly and I felt I was imposing on her time. The meal the following evening was disappointing. Felt rushed and had menus put in front of us before seated and we were placed immediately next to the plate collection area in the corner by the kitchen entrance. The starters were fine, however our main courses were forgotten. A young waitress identified this however neither of the two managers approached us. From our seating I could eventually see the seafood crumble being ‘cremated’ under the warming lamp whilst we awaited the late two battered cod’s which arrived 10 minutes after the overcooked crumble. Needless to say the crumble was returned and the staff response was to belittle the complaint within our clear earshot. The fish supper was insipid and greasy with recooked chips. We left them partially eaten. At the same time, both female managers had elected to be elsewhere and apparently ‘hide’,despite knowing that there had been a complaint, and to leave a decent young waitress to apologise. We thank her for that. The crumble was removed from the bill however the lead manager and the needlessly vocal waitress, need to review their hospitality training and awareness and how to manage issues if they arise, which we all accept will occasionally. Sadly, would not revisit.

Been here a few times in the past few months and always had a good experience with lovely service. Unfortunately that wasn't the case today. My mum, my partner and I popped in for an Irish coffee and then decided to order some bacon and sausage sandwiches. I mentioned the coffee wasn't as I remembered. The lady who was behind the counter at the time, shouted over that she had been working there 3 years and that is how the coffees are made. I simply said they were not the same as I did not recognise or enjoy the one she made. Either way, probably not best to argue with the customer especially considering it is entirely plausible someone else made the before,so they were nice. She then proceeded to call other servers over to tell then how someone dared question her coffee prowess (although maybe not it those exact words) I found that to be rude and we could clearly see and over hear the conversation. As I said we ordered sandwiches. Tired sandwiches on cheap bread. My partner said the sausages were cheap and scarce. My bacon was also in short supply. Shame really because we have always enjoyed popping in for coffee and the occasional lunch. Maybe less often in the future

Got seated quick, accommodated as a walk in. The scallops are amazing, well worth a try, served beautifully, a real wonder. The main course, wild mushroom bolognese rigatoni was a flop, pea puree made it. The tapa, beef teriyaki was also perfect, a real flavour journey. The pasta dropped to bits (overcooked no spring in it, not al dente at all, and the sauce I struggled with. Hardly any mushroom, more tomato puree, I git bored with that quickly. The parmesan is cheap tasting no bite to it. More of a gravy (ragout) than a bolognese. The cheesecake is okay, but more like a thickly whipped angel delight, all very pretty but all fur coat, no knickers. Over attended by a staff member who kept asking had I finished, you can pause during eating. However all staff friendly and polite

The name is taken from the Marriott brothers, who owned or leased several granaries on the South Quay in the latter part of the 19th century. Between 1550 and 1700 most of the warehouses along the Ouse bank were rebuilt in brick, but Marriott's Warehouse retained a lower storey in stone, possibly from the dissolved Friaries. It was an important warehouse for trade in salt, beer, wine and building materials. Ships would dock inside to unload cargo, its stone lower storey protecting against the tides as it stood out into the Wash, long before the quayside was built up around it."

Disappointing we have been before and always had a good meal there, this time it was disappointing. I had scampi and chips and thought the price to high and the quantity to little. My wife's special was very nice, and she enjoyed it

We were allocated rooms 8 and 10. Clean room although very basic. Tea/coffee facilities, TV, great shower facility. Slept comfortably. Friendly barstaff and pleasant pub but VERY expensive beer (£12.6
