It came nice and hot, as in very recently cooked and not cooled down much, and was bang on time. Almost the nicest Calzone I've had, made from proper dough and topped with cheese which was a nice touch, I've had these at other take aways and they've been done with pie crust rather than actual pizza dough?! The inside was just right, not soft and chewy or dripping liquid out of it, it was even cut up for me, the only ones I've had better are my own home made ones, because I can use fillings more specific to the things I like, whilst being a bit healthy. One thing that could have been better, there was no grease proof paper under it, so it had a soggy bottom, meaning I couldn't put the box down on the table like you normally would have, but a quick use of the plastic bag the sauce came in soon sorted it out, not a big deal, but I'm puzzled why it didn't have the paper in there to begin with. So on the whole, all things considered, probably an 8.5 out of 10, and I don't give high scores freely for anyone hat knows my food reviews. Lastly on a note, the driver didn't adhere to ANY covid regs, so because of that I've given the Service Score a minimum as there was no care for the customer in that regard.

We had a lovely meal today. The food was good and the service impeccable, however it was absolutely freezing cold inside the restaurant area and we had to eat with blankets (which were provided by the staff) and coats on which spoilt the whole experience. I asked for the heating to be turned up and even if I was told that it had been turned up, it was still incredibly cold. We noticed we were not the only customers eating wearing coats. Needless to say we will not be returning during the winter months. Also, we wanted to order coffee at the end of our meal and we were told the machine was out of order! Overall not a very positive experience

Well you talk about a sleepy village pub with a bit of a reputation as a yo yo pub....Not any more...! Just had one of the best Italian meals outside Italy...lie not! Simple ingredients,no frills no arty food this is simple wholesome Italian food at its best, and it's a plateful! Fabulous pasta and chicken dish matched with a cracking red wine at a very reasonable price. Great atmosphere, easy going friendly staff. I was back in the Italian countryside where I spent a lot of time near Torino and Modena when I ate here tonight...that good. Worth a visit trust me. And....you must try the Lemonchello milk drink.. It's a family secret....and ...I have only had one this good in Modena. This a little bit of good old fashioned Italian cuisine and hospitality in the Cambridgeshire Countryside and its bloody fabulous. Return we shall...

We've eaten here before and choose to return because previously meals were fine but this visit was frankly disappointing. The starter plates were good, but our selection of main courses left much to be desired. My lental hotpot was pretty devoid of flavour and when decanted from the pointless metal dish struggled to half fill the plate. Hotpot should be a winter comfort dish but this delivered nothing. My wife's risotto tasted in her words like gruel and she didn't want to finish it. The beetroot burger was bland, and none of the dishes contained anything that could be described as garnish. We were asked by the waiting staff how our meal was, but when we said tasteless, there didn't seem to be any response. Spending £200 and leaving still hungry is never going to encourage a return visit.
