Stayed here for almost a week and shocked at the appalling service. Waited almost an hour for deserts one night. Draught beer was off. Half the menu not available. Seriously slow service. Needs a kick up the a••••

As ever in these Thyme restaurants, the food was well prepared and the service polite and attentive. Can’t complain.

Food is best described as okay and fills a hole. Service was iffy depending on the server , we had a few, going from indifferent to pleasant , and friendly even, helpful. Breakfast was a more mixed experience, the porridge was really nice and buffet looked pleasant enough. We requested two poached eggs each, which as promised were kept back until we had finished the porridge. Problem was poached eggs were placed by the server next to the buffet so not unreasonably other guests took them. This was a shock to the server !!No damage done apart from a a little titter, new order placed. Eggs duly arrived, 3 poached one fried! Duly delivered server left without comment on the fact one was fried. Server returned qnquiring about how things were. The matter of the fried egg was raised ", Oh yes , the poacher can only do 3 at a time so the chef fried one to ensure they were all warm" ....Interesting as the previous order had 4 eggs. Hey ho more tittering and laughter.

Usual Premier Inn Thyme brand. Comfortable surroundings. Pleasant and efficient staff. Food good - (steak excellent). Is it my imagination but are prices in Premier Inns on the rise?

My husband had a burger and I had the bbq chicken melt both were served with chips & coleslaw (and mine had a side salad) The burger looked amazing but had very little taste Some of the chips were hard ! The chicken was a frozen processed piece that was not at all edible and the coleslaw if that’s what you can call it was a slop if warm yes warm mayonnaise on the plate and £38 for the pleaseure ! The restaurant was virtually empty -We were thinking about having the breakfast but now will avoid at all costs

We had booked the "meal deal" thinking it was a good offer but when ordering, certain things were not in with the deal, which you are not told of before you book it. Also at the time we went there, there were a lot of things off the menu because they said it was changing it. The breakfast which is part of the meal deal would have been ok if they had enough food out for such a large place, we had to wait for things to be cooked and brought out and it came out at different times so if you got your bacon you then had to wait for eggs etc. We were very disappointed with the whole setup. We stayed here on our way back from holiday without the meal deal and again were told a lot of things were off the menu because of change to it. VERY BAD ORGANISATION. We certainly would not stay here again.

29 of descended on this small restaurant in our local Premier Inn, a gathering of Aerobatic Pilots attending a competition, the restaurant emailed me the choices prior & on the night the food was served swiftly and was hot, out of all of us only one real moan that a persons steak was too ‘well done’, apart from that, thank you, the staff were professional and pleasant, I will recommend.

It doesn’t have the most extensive menu but I stayed for four nights and found plenty of good options, food is always to a good standard with very good staff

This is the in-house restaurant at the Premier Inn Norman Cross. We only had breakfast but there seems a decent menu for evening meals. Breakfast was buffet style advertised as the Premier Inn breakfast at £9.50 a head for full breakfast and £7.50 continental. The food was edible enough but very small quantities were brought out at a time resulting in a wait and queue for the dishes to be replenished. Providing four fried eggs for a queue of 6+ people was a bit daft! There seemed to only be one chef working and he was struggling a bit with extra orders for poached eggs etc. On the first morning we had a very nice and cheaper breakfast in Stamford.

I ate here most of the nights I stayed at the hotel and the food was very good, decent choice and everything was well cooked and fairly priced. The staff are helpful, one one occasion there was an issue but it was very well dealt with by the staff

Choices poor, quality poorer, poor staff run off their feet. Meal deal is a disgrace and far too restrictive

Fairly typical restaurant attached to a premier inn, the menu is limited, mostly steaks but the quality is good. If you are staying for a night or two there should be something for you. The menu has changed since my last visit and everything I had was good or better. Serving staff were generally good ( especially Abbie I think her name was) one member let the staff down in my opinion and had a funny way of talking to customers, I had the same views when I stayed here before. Otherwise very good for a hotel restaurant, food is good and prices are reasonable

Have stayed at the hotel for a few nights and eaten here, the quality of the food and service is generally good, one waitress seemed abrupt and had a strange manner but others didn't seem to share this view so may have just been me. Menu is decent, to me there is too much bias towards steaks but there is some other nice choices, curry is especially good. Over the time I was here I tried everything I fancied on the menu and if I was staying another night may have gone somewhere else but for a one or two night stay it's a good choice for somewhere to eat

Slow taking order and delivering food, but this aside the service was fine and the food was hot and of good quality. Said they were busy, but did not look busy, everything was fine apart from the delays, plenty of choice on the menu.

If you are staying in the hotel, and wanting dinner and breakfast this deal is ideal. Any 2 Course Dinner + Drink + Unlimited Breakfast for £22.99 is worth it. Our waiter was a guy called Chris, he was fanstatic at his job and looked after us very well. Food was fanstatic, we shall eat here again when we stay.

We ate here when staying at the Premier Inn and took advantage of their meal deal. The food was typical steak house style food with a good choice. The service was very good with a friendly and helpful waiter.

Good food but usual menu. The waitress took the wine glasses off the table as soon as we sat down which was odd but service was good otherwise.

Bit of an odd review this one. Im not reviewing the Premier Inn, although I am a fan of them and have stayed at many. This PI is pretty much on my doorstep. BUT, having eaten at a Thyme restaurant in the past and loved it. Myself and the other half decided to go and eat at this one a few weeks ago.We were not sure if non patrons to the PI could eat in the restaurant, but they could. We went on a Sunday night at 6pm (when it opened - not opened all day), and it was DEAD!However, we were greeted by a very friendly staff member (im not one for namedropping... Chairmaine.... ooops!)who got us sat down, took drinks order and promptly got them for us.When it came to ordering food, Im a fussy eater, but my order was brought out exactly the way I wanted it. I cannot improve on that. It was gorgeous food! My other halfs food was excellent too.Theres not really much more I can tell you about this restaurant, other than I highly recommend it. The food at a Thyme restaurant is superb. We have been back to this one since, plus others at PI's. Highly recommended. Friendly staff, great food, lovely atmosphere and environment.Would we go again? YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

This spot is great for meeting up with friends any time of the day. Breakfast runs into Brunch. Brunch runs into lunch and I've had afternoon tea which is a 10/10 experience. The service is always friendly and efficient. The menu is small but varied and covers all tastes and dietary requirements. Presentation is excellent. The atmosphere at The Potting Shed is very relaxed and friendly. It is dog friendly too.

Decided to have lunch at one of the local places we've never been. You wouldn't think much of it as building looks dated, however, we were astonished by the quality of food we had! And the service was so warm and cosy! Plus, they had 10%! Had very good time, would definitely say, food is one of the best in UK!
