Order burger and chips, burger was freezing cold in the middle and was barely even big enough to fit the bun,as if frozen on top of that bun was soaking wet as if it had just been defrosted, chips came piping hot but tastes stale and crispy as if it was microwaved, milk shake was the only good thing but if they messed up the milkshake would of been a laughing stock

Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked with good ingredients. The pancakes were freshly made (no pre-made frozen rubbish). Staff were polite, and very efficient. Well worth a visit for good, wholesome food.

Ordered food via food hub, for delivery wait an hour! Receive a text message saying ‘ Unfortunately there are no drivers available for delivery orders at this moment. Please call us for more information.Your money will be refunded back to your account within 3-5 working days, if paid online’ no phone call nothing so see if we could collect or anything. So now have to wait a possible 5 days for a refund, why have delivery if you can’t deliver

Food was lovely as always. The staff member serving us was the issue, she was very rude to my sister. When she began taking our order she was very blunt, slammed the cutlery and drinks down, huffed when asked for some glasses, then we asked for one extra banana milkshake and the staff member replied yes in a very rude way, and on returning said anything else I can get you, which was also in a rude manner.

Lovely cafe, decently spacious with friendly staff and good prices. Food was very tasty, exactly what you'd expect from a traditional cafe. Highly recommended if you're after that!

Waited 2 hours for my order to be delivered, which the staff was extremely rude when I called to find out what was going on. After waiting all that time my egg is completely overcooked

Very polite and friendly service. Amazing food, the black pudding was great, everything cooked to perfection including poached eggs which had a lovely runny yolk. Generous portion too. Was not disappointed and I will 100% be ordering some time again soon!

Short version: You will not get disappointed, trust me! Gonna use their services in future for sure! Long version: Outstanding service, food is too good to be called only good, burgers are crazy good, not your MC/KFC/BK sh*t (if you like MC Donald's, or any other mass takeaway then, sorry, you have no taste, thats a fact, you will not understand what Im saying, unless you will try them, or any other local restaurant tbf)... So far delivery was on point, faster than estimated delivery times, and by a good margin as well. To be fair, i cant make my food faster, then they deliver. Food is still hot, never had cold food being delivered.

I cannot stress enough how good this place is. I’ve coming here for just over a year and I’ve been given the best food and service the whole time. All staff are polite and always have a smile. If you looking at the reviews wanting to know if it’s worth going to I’m telling you now get yourself there because it’s worth every penny. Also the fact that you can now order is amazing, never in my life did I think I’ll order a lasagne to my house this place should have more attention Then it has I really recommend coming here because it better then any take away in Wisbech..........btw there milkshakes are banging

Just popped in for a cup of tea and was tempted into having toast marmalade to go with it. The cafe is always very clean and exceptional value for the portion sizes. The staff are very friendly and efficient Would always recommend a visit.

Nice food pleasant staff and good service

Went in for breakfast early on a Saturday morning and ordered a set meal, coffee and toast arrived minutes after i sat down then food a couple of mins later. It was a good breakfast with great bacon but chips were a bit plain (not my usual choice but thought I'd give it a try), sausage was ok. Coffee was excellent and almost ordered a second but had to rush off without completely finishing the meal. Staff speak good English, very polite and seemed well organised, restaurant was clean and tidy, cutlery was definitely clean and didn't have streaks from dishwasher. For a quick sit-down meal (breakfast) it did the job and didn't cost as much as other places.

ok this is for both my support worker and i a first time at this very nice clean bright cafe the food is fresh cooked very well and the portions was huge and we found that nothing was too much trouble for the very nice staff and as each table became empty it was cleaned (ect) as i say i review as i find the cafes (ect) on the days we are there this cafe to me i think is a EXCELLENT Place

Nothing fancy here, just good old fashioned good value meals. It is clearly popular and was very busy when I called at lunchtime on Saturday. Perhaps this explained the slow service, though the staff were very pleasant, and it was good to see them give so much attention to clearing and cleaning tables.

First visit but not last, found this by chance on Friday while looking for lunch, and what a find. Food was excellent and nothing too much trouble, the portions were huge to say the least, request for change of content (ie: veg instead of chips) no problem and everything was cooked just right even the cabbage which was fresh not frozen. The choice of good basic cooking and the usual berger and chips must have something for everyone.

Convenient for the town centre. Popular with groups for parties etc.

we use this cafe all the time mainly for breakfasts, the staff are accomodating and nothing is too much trouble great for fussy eaters.

Went along as the three of us for Sunday lunch with the intention of having main and pudding. Three Roast dinners and three puddings, with drinks - cheap as chips! The food was clearly fresh, full of flavour and came with a smile! That said, the menu was extensive and from what I could see from what other dinners had, was just as good as we were enjoying! I shall be back next time I can't be bothered to cook Sunday lunch - or fancy some good honest basic cooking!

As a long term customer (until today) this used to be good, new staff they have hired are rude and customer service is not high on the agenda!! Placed our usual order that we’ve had time and time again to be told. “Can’t do that. Pay for extra or don’t have it!” We walked out at this point. Never gain to return!

Fussy husband enjoyed every mouthful and was heard to proclaim that we will visit again when next in town. All the food was freshly cooked and piping hot, even the beans.

Love this little cafe staff always friendly and helpful, very quick bringing your order, big portions and we've never had any problems getting seated even at that busiest times, we go there very regular on Saturdays, one particular lady that works there knows us very well now she does our drink order with out having to ask us. Brilliant place highly recommend it

I find that the Britannia Cafe is a pleasant place to relax with a meal and a coffee in with a view from a window seat of the bingo hall. I enjoy their wide range of breakfasts and dinners such as the chicken curry, rice and chips dish. All the staff are welcoming and ready to help. There are tables downstairs ideal for wheelchairs and tables upstairs.

Nothing special about the food. Serves English breakfasts all-day. Majority of the menu - sandwiches, burgers, salads and coffee. Have lasagne and Sunday dinner. Lack of options for vegetarians or dairy-free. Helpful staff, very calm atmosphere despite being located near to busy square.

Offers a range of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Caters for larger groups eg birthdays upstairs. Close to multi-storey car park. One of the nearest cafes to Wisbech park and North Cambs hospital.

Quite a large menu, Breakfasts, Pies and Roast Dinner are always a winner, nice puddings, the Apple Pie is yum.

Always a friendly welcome, and you can feel comfortable bringing your kids too. Service is always prompt, and restaurant is always very clean.I only ever have breakfast here, and although the ingredients are not "top of the range" it is always well cooked and plentiful. Lots of flexibility if you don't like certain items, which is usually helpful when persuading kids to make a choice.They offer a full range of cooked diners through the day including roasts and a regular offering of a liver-themed meal! But I haven't tried.They also serve really good coffee which is not usual for a cafe in my experience.

Having visited the place several times in the past, I cannot honestly say I have any complaints about the quality of the food, nor can I say that the service has been poor - until today! My girlfriend and I went there for a spot of lunch this afternoon, only to be told that my girlfriend's guide dog was not welcome, and we had no alternative but to leave. The reason we were given was that the chef was allergic to dogs. However, he was in the kitchen the whole time whereas we were in the café and would have been at the far side, away from the kitchen. Further, we were told that he had a skin allergy; this would presumably have only affected him if he had actually touched the dog - which there would have been no need for him to do. It is our firm belief that this was merely an excuse. The bottom line is that this establishment was breaking the Law when refusing access to a guide dog (the 2010 Equality Act). Blind people up and down the country experience this kind of discrimination all the time, and, though I hate to say this, being of Indian origin myself, it tends to take place at non-British establishments. It is time to put a stop to this once and for all. For my part, I will never again set foot in the Britannia Café in Wisbech until such time as the Management re-thinks its policy towards guide dogs and their owners. Any other establishments wishing to follow the Britannia Café's example can expect the same response on my part.

We were out for somewhere to have a cooked breakfast and discovered this cafe. The service was friendly and efficient, the breakfast was really great - one of the best English breakfasts I've had in a long time.
