Virtually ignored initially, obviously not being a regular showed.

This should be a go to gastro pub in a nice affluent village catering for the local community and be a go go pub/restaurant, Instead it is very loud screens showing sky sports at high sound, we can’t talk to one another. Wake up and see what other pubs are doing in villages, don’t hide behind food trucks and make it a community pub we all want to go , with good food

Pleasantly surprised , one of the loveliest meals we have had in a while in a pub . Lasagne was delicious, steak was cooked perfectly and very tender & tasty , Stilton sauce was absolutely yummy too . Will definitely be visiting again soon .

Took our friends out for dinner at The Three Tuns and had a fantastic meal. The staff were polite and helpful. The pub caters for food intolerance, which was a rare treat to have such a selection. Also they were able to omit one food item from my chosen dish. So I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely casual village pub. Excellent well done !!!

Great place plenty of tables in garden area

Expensive, for what was presented food wise it was disappointing defo lack of veg, went away feeling bit cheated, How ever drinks where very reasonable priced and staff where soooo goooood, and happy to help!!

I walked into the pub and saw menus on the tables having just seen what looked like reasonable food being served outside. I decided what to order then put the menu down on the bar while I got my purse out. An arm came over my shoulder and snatched the menu away and the lady then went behind the bar and asked if I needed serving. I said “I take it you’re no longer serving food? “ the response was “We stop at 2.” I looked at my watch and it was exactly 2pm. “We start again at 5” she said. Call me old fashioned but having just been treated very rudely the last thing on my mind was waiting 3 hours to be served. If the young lady had taken the menu and said I’m sorry we’ve stopped serving now I wouldn’t have minded, but just to snatch the menu away without explanation was very rude and we won’t be dashing back.

A party of 18 of us and we ordered in advance and attention and service was excellent nobody had to wait, marvellous. The food was cooked excellently and really hot. Serving staff very nice and attentive. We shall definitely go back again and would thoroughly recommend people give it a try.

Only had a drink, as sat in beer garden due to having dogs and the pub isn't dog friendly so couldn't sit inside. Large tidy garden area and reasonable priced drinks.

Great food great service all cooked to perfection

We decided to bring a member of our family out for lunch from the local rehabilitation care home as a treat. Our family member was in a wheelchair & nobody came to assist us with the chairs at the table to accommodate the wheelchair at the table. We ordered four meals & drinks. All of the food was reheated which included the burger, chips, jacket potato, chicken burger X2, the coleslaw should have come in a ramekin not a tiny paper cup & was saturated in a strange very yellow sauce, there were four people eating & we were only given one tiny ramekin with ketchup in it. Each plate of food contained side salad & green slimey lettuce was found on each plate. the green slimey salad was shown to the staff & they were told that this could have made us ill if it had been eaten, the member of staff said she would take it to show the chef, she came back asking if the salad was in the burger or on the side of the plate & was told that it was on the side of the plate. There was no apology from the staff or the chef, no reduction in the total cost of the meals. While we were waiting for our food other people were coming in to the pub & they were asked if the would like to go to the dining room at the back where they would receive table service, so why wasn't we given this choice when we ordered food. This was a terrible experience for the member of our family that was in the wheelchair as he felt it was his fault that we wasn't asked if we would like to eat in the dinning room. We won't be returning when we take our family member out for a treat on his birthday on June 16th. I also note from other reviews in 2022 that there were concerns about the parquetry flooring this has not been addressed & is lifting in places which poses a trip hazzard.

We had drinks in the extensive beer garden to the front of the pub on a lovely sunny day. The service was professional and quick, and the pub has a good selection of drinks to choose from.

Such good value food. Clean no frills and friendly. It’s like a pub should be. Wished we lived nearer. 2 lunches for 12.99 and they were lovely. Lasagne with garlic bread and cheesy broccoli pasta . So nice to have piping hot food. Will definitely visit again if we are nearby

Lovely village pub in Doddington with good menu, including vegan and gluten free options. Reasonably priced, plenty of tables in the bar, restaurant and large garden. Food was very good with good drink choices at the bar.

Drive over and not doing food again, we went through this a while back where they put notes in the window saying no food, then they started up again so we decided to go back. Got there and again a note in the window saying no food till so and so date. Make up your mind so customers know whether to come or not.

Used the three tunes for drinks and a meal, Pleasant sitting in the garden with a cold drink , decided to eat wish we hadn't. Lasagne looked very nice but had has much taste has wall paper paste, even worse was the ready cooked beef burger on the menu has home made , Home made it was cooked the day before and warmed up some how, then plonked in a semi stale bun, it was like eating saw dust, the home made Coleslaw came in a paper cup the size of a golf ball , around two teaspoons, the Chips were cheap frozen and again tasted reheated, The food in general was poor. ???

What a lovely pub this is, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I've been here several times now and each time I can't fault it. The food is very good as is the selection of beers. The tables are very clean (no sticky tables), the whole place is well looked after and clean. There is a good atmosphere and feel to the place all located in a nice village. Great pub worth a visit.🙂

A great lunch for a Monday! Not that busy but good.

If you are a young adult or a minority I’d advise you to avoid this bigoted and small minded establishment. My friend had some property stolen at this venue - the staff didn’t help in the slightest & owner said he was “too drunk to check cctv until tomorrow” (really professional way to treat paying customers) Further attempts to enquire about the stolen property were met with unnecessary hostility and provocation that appeared to be racially motivated, deliberately misinterpreting my friends pleas to locate his stolen property as “trying to intimidate” staff (very telling of their racial biases). The staff were not interested in the slightest at resolving the issue at hand and displayed a “not my problem” approach. Speaking to locals about the ordeal revealed that this wasn’t a one off occurrence. A current staff member who wasn’t working even admitted the venue has a racism problem and routinely kicks out minorities for little to no reason. No real resolution was offered over the stolen property issue and whilst leaving the owner came out front hammered with his mate squaring up and provoking confrontation. I’m sure if you’re a local white family you will be treated fine but please ask yourself if this is the type of local business you want to support?

Loverly outside large lawn eating area it was a warm sunny day what more could you want

Dropped in for lunch without a booking during a busy spell, sat on a reserved table but staff very lovely and accommodating and found us another table without a fuss. Food was lovely and served quickly. Very nice family (all ages) atmosphere. Friendly patrons.

Says dog friendly on the internet but it's only in the garden which is ok on a nice day not so much if it's raining. Beer was good though.

Popped in after visiting mum in a nearby nursing home. A nice clean bar area, with an ample beer garden which was being fully appreciated. The Test Match was on TV and food being served in the bar. My only observation was that there seemed to be 5 members of staff and only 2 working.

On a warm day it's a beautiful sight, that vintage motor parked in the midday sun. The Guinness is as ever chilled to perfection, the ideal companion, and the smells from the kitchen enticing. There's an extensive and tasty menu and enough folk enjoying a meal to make the pub a place to remember and one to return to. The service is perhaps a little gruff given that the sun is shining and folk are smiling.

Great food, at great prices. Staff welcoming and cheerful. Lovely village setting and garden to eat and drink. Visited last weekend and totally enjoyed the experience. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Arrived at 7.45pm on Sat evening, ordered a drink & asked where we could sit for food ? 2 people. To be told food was no longer being served, looked at the menu on the table to have our drink, said food was served till 8pm on Sat. I'm sorry but if you advertise food to be served to a certain time, then you need to stick to it, lots of people in there still eating as we arrived !!!! Will never go there again. If you are tempted I would recommend you don't leave it late, very poor customer service. 01-04-2023

Really good service. Value for money , decent portions all served hot. Friendly atmosphere. Could do with a bit of background music in the restaurant area in my opinion but that’s a minor issue. Izzy and the two other bar staff were very approachable and friendly. We will definitely visit again . Decent range of beers and spirits at a reasonable price too. Excellent pub and restaurant 👍

Good meal, wide choice on menu and prices are reasonable. They kindly opened the restaurant for us even though the head chef was on holiday. It was quiet so unable to give a proper score for atmosphere. Service was excellent.

Excellent food and service, great value for money. I only rated 4 for atmosphere, only because it was quiet on this occasion. It is a great place for a stop off, lovely staff and customers.

Xmas work meal... STARTERS..were lovely, MAIN turkey was not slices it was rolled with stuffing inside, tasted greasy, one person didnt like stuffing so didnt eat it, DESERTS...Cheese cake was horrible 4 of us didnt like it, asked if we could have something else and was told no & that nobody else has complained before. SERVICE...was excellent the girls worked really hard. They where very friendly & helpful. We wont come back for another meal

The food here is ordinary. It’s a menu lifted straight from the pubs of 25 years ago. The food is generally over cooked but it’s far from awful. Usual suspects on the menu. Scampi, burger, pie of the day etc. Most of it is deep fried or microwaved. Here’s the clincher though. Four of us had two courses and the total bill was £38. I mean, Scampi & Chips was £6 for a generous portion. You can’t get a McDonalds meal for that. So, weighed up against the bill, was it value for money? Absolutely. And that’s really all you can ask.

Well absolutely astounded today we just tipped up not booked and accepted for a s Sunday Roast, Lamb dinner all fresh veg the staff were all very pleasant & accommodating Three choices of Real, Ale Bitters, The food was excently cooked & presented very promptly, A lovely change not to have to pay a surcharge for Lamb, Several other kinds of meat available, Will definitely use again and recommend to all our friends We couldn't book into the restaurant as it was fully booked We ate in the spotlessly clean bar, Usual facilities were also spotlessly clean

Went to Three Tuns having had it recommended, how disappointed were we. Terrible Sunday lunch. All bought in food I suspect and just warmed up. Table veneer hanging off, sticky everywhere. It needs a complete overhaul. Beautiful parquet flooring all needs sanding down, new blinds/curtains. There's no excuse - we've had lockdown for nearly two years no thought towards improving the environment or food. Why aren't they cooking with local produce ? I'll finish now, but needless to say we won't be going back !

not pub , wish the players equipment was better

2hrs into a 3hr essential journey in the car with no air con, (just had opened windows) so i was going to pop in for cold drink and to refresh my dog. but was rudely refused entrance and abused for mistreating my dog by barstaff ( by blonde lady flowery dress smoking at front doorway filling pub with snoke, and not making it so inviting for me ) for allowing my dog to walk about 20metres from outside the pub into the cool sanctuatry of the so called public house .. dont do food here at present ,so can only rate on hospitality so a one it is , no car park and def not dog considerate .

We walked to here over the fields from Fields End Water site. It was great that they opened from 11am, so we were able to get going on the cold drinks before the kitchen fired up at 12 noon. We found the value of the two lunchtime or early bird meals fabulous, the welcome and service super and would definitely return if we were in the area again. And there were so many other diners arriving, that it seemed 'the place' to be on a Wednesday lunchtime! Thank you to all staff concerned.

We are staying at a lovely local Caravan touring site and after a nice stroll found the three tuns. We like it so much we’ve strolled here every day for a drink ( a Guinness and a pint of wherrys) but today we noticed lots of people eating so we looked at the menu. Lovely delicious hot food and we didn’t wait long for it. The 12-2pm special offer of 2 for £10.95 has to be tried and lovely choice, really lovely staff, a clean spacious eating area inside and out. We will return during our break and highly recommend to others. Big well done to all at the three tuns in this crazy world you have got it spot on. Thank you. Paul and Diane Goldsmith

A stunning pint of Guinness .A pleasant place to sit in the garden .I will be back for more Guinness. There was a Mexican food van on site, which was serving nice looking food .This is in place whilst there isn't food available in the pub .

Ate lunch here yesterday in the beer garden because we have our doggies with us (dogs not allowed in the pub sadly). I had a tuna jacket spud and it really hit the spot...very nice indeed for the price. We will return. Would have had 5 stars but you don't allow doggies inside.

Great village pub. We held my Dad's wake here and they could not have been more accommodating. Great sandwiches, finger food and lots if tea and coffee. I have eaten here many times and the food us always delicious.

Nice staff & location with a garden but the beer was awful when we went. The cask Wherry was sour so must have been sitting there for ages. Not a lot of choice otherwise if you don't want big brand lagers.
