Nice pub and friendly staff. Good music too. Prices were fair as well. But I guess they have to be with a flippin' Wetherspoons over the road 😊

Not Disabled friendly. Due to a Stroke my Dad cant get about well finds it hard to get in and out of the car. so when he is out its easiler to stay in the car. All the pubs we have been in have always been friendly and help fully and even lets my dad stay sat in his car seat so he can have a pint or two. But not here i went in asked and was told ok but please park in the car park so your on are property, Which i did. I go back in and im told that the Manager has said no and refused my Dad a drink unless he gets out and sits on there furniture in the garden or inside pub. This is disgusting and discrimination.

First Visit. Was on Straw Bear Saturday. Cask Beers in rear Bar. Food in Vans in Car Park. Plenty of outdoor space. Busy inside and queuing for toilets but under the circumstances quite liked it.

A nice pub to go for a few drinks. No Food served here.

We called here on our way back from.Colchester, this was a very welcoming & friendly pub. I had a wine my partner had a coffee.

This is like a hidden gem, especially the terrace, so beautiful and relaxing. Friendly staff, spent a couple of hours and the energy, the vibes, just made my day. The food ship looks so cool, car parking, plenty of tables outside and the indoor looks spot on, even has a pool 🎱, darts which are great. Good for parties. Reasonable prices on pints, also couple of tv's, the spaces between the tables are good, so you don't knock other chairs. Toilets impeccable. I don't know what else to say, I don't live locally, but I wish. The Black Pearl has got something that makes you fell in love with and gather all of your friends, family. Usually when I pop in for a drink somewhere randomly, I don't pay to much attention to every detail, but this place has gotten all my attention, it captivating me, so I know here is something special, that's why I'm gonna call it my favourite gem and I would highly recommend it! I would definitely come back here.

The young lady (MOUSEY BROWN SHOULDER LENGH HAIR) working last night was extremely rude, obnoxious and SHOULD NOT BE IN THE HOSPITALLY INDUSTRY!!! DISGUSTING ATTITUDE!! ID BE ASHAMED IF SHE WAS MY DAUGHTER!!!!

It's always a great atmosphere Love the Ska and 80s nights, had one tonight, and it was fab! Everyone just having a good time

First visit, to eyeball the new pétanque pistes being built by the Fenmen. Great job and thank you for doing this. Looking forward to playing there, and tasting the food by our local entrepreneur.

Hi all quick update about Saturdays river festival. I have just come of the phone to fenland licensing. As promised louise Hill craft union R M Did not even apply for this to be held at the black bull it was all false Hope's. she said.. she did Pip Riggs organized everything then as myself and jay have now left We are getting the brunt of this it has nothing to do with my own personal license It's all goes on the premises license . Left waiting at unattended bar, and only got service by going to front bar.

Rosie the landlady friendly, tables very clean, beer ok, locals chatty, only had one drink and had to go. Place could do with a makeover. Toilets need attention.

It's a local in the middle of town! Good beer, kept well. The tables are kept clear and the staff are cheerful, take note George Hotel! Prices are very reasonable.

Traditional style pub. Good range of drinks, on tap and in bottles/cans. Family friendly atmosphere. No food except traditional bar snacks. Lovely staff. A nice change from the gastro pub.

I spent this morning back and forth on the phone to the bank and searching for the Management group who own these sites. The Black Bull had popped up a number of times on my bank statement and I've never been to Peterborough. Turns out I had been in another of Stonegate Groups pubs in Worthing on the south coast called The Rose & Crown but the card payments I'd made show as this site which is part of the same group. A bit confusing at first but not fraudulent so don't cancel your card like I nearly did :)

Sweet lady who runs it, also very welcoming to dogs and has a bowl of treats ready for them

A first class service, would recon mend a visit.

Called in for a game of pool while staying at the Dog in a Doublet nearby. Enjoyed the banter, and the 95p pre-lockdown pints of Doom ale!

I visited this pub purely because i had won a competition for some free drinks there but came away feeling we had found a hidden gem that we will definitely return to! From the start the 2 ladies serving were friendly and chatty and really made us feel welcome and at home. They fully complied with the new covid rules yet still managed to maintain a normal feel to the pub. Really nice place and customer service. Loved it

First time at the Black Bull. My pink gin went down a treat,people were really friendly, will definitely be going again.

Needs reporting to environmental health - no running water in ladies toilet. They have known about it for ages - keep away for hygiene reasons but food good. What a shame food lovely but broken tap.

Excellent food and friendly staff

Although we have been to this venue before I haven't reviewed so thought it was about time I did. We have always been well looked after here by all of the staff who have always been friendly, chatty and accomodating. Doesn't have the largest car park but there is on street parking close by, a functional smoking area and outside table are available to the rear of the property adjacent to the car park. We have always had food provided for our group and on this occasion it was a choice of bangers and mash or chilli and rice. Now I'm not a chill fan but I do like my bangers :-) and these were excellent and came with the added bonus of onion gravy. If you like chilli with a bit of bite then maybe it is worth a visit because I understand from one of our group that it was a bit 'lively' lol. Tea and coffee, draft and cask ales available. The Doombar being quite exceptional. All in all highly recommended.

Great atmosphere, great staff, lovely old building, in the heart of town. Could do with different varieties of Vodka (Absolut) but that's just me being picky...😉

Rose, is the driving force behind this restaurant when it is open, at the moment she is ill and therefore the business is not firing on all cylinders as far as opening days are concerned. The food is fantastic and don't worry about the "portion control" there isn't any. In other words its enormous and can defeat a timid person, but for sure they will not go away hungry.

The Bull are not doing regular food now unless there is a big group. As there was a big group booked on Saturday 16th December we were able to have a table for two. We have wanted to go for a while after hearing great reviews of their food. The food was very good, very fresh and hot and very good value. The service was also very good as was the restaurant area. If you get a chance definitely worth going

You have to book this meal or you are highly unlikely to get in, Served 12 till 5, the traditional lunch is meat and 32 veg! You get 3 grett slices of meat and about a stone of veg each, gallons of gravy available, £7.95, and they give you containers to take home the veg you can't ( possibly ) eat, my relations know some locals who go every week and get 3 meals in total from the lunch! Good wholesome British grub at it's best. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Great food served by Rose and her team, really old market town pub with good ales and wine, traditional wholesome pub food. Sunday lunch is to die for.

Went for Sunday lunch, never had such a big meal in all my life, three thick slices of roast beef along with Yorkshire pudding, boiled and roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, buttered leeks, broccoli, french beans and carrots, huge gravy boat full of delicious gravy.
