Great village pub with Petanque played in the car park Tuesday evenings April to October.

Absolutely awful, please don't waist your time or money. We had a very large table booked (in advance) and we pre ordered food. Staff was minimal, apparently the chef walked out last week and that was the excuse they used as to why the food was so shockingly s@&t. I refused to pay for our meals, we did how ever pay for the ice cream as the kids did eat that. When I asked to speak to the manager about the bill they became argumentative, he said I'd eaten most of my INEDIBLE food (which I hadnt) shocking service, rank food, dingy dirty pub. I will not return and want to warn anyone else before they decide to visit.

Awful experience. The food was not good. Undercooked fish.after the long wait some meals missing. Meals all came out at different times. Owner said chef had walked out. If that was the case they should of closed the kitchen until they found a new chef as the service was abismal. To top it off owner then basically accused us of trying to get a free meal and asked us why we didn't the salad. Who would eat the salad after leaving the rest of the meal. Takeaway do a better job than this place. We even ordered a drink which got served with flat lemonade and had to reorder. Avoid at all Costs and head to McDonald's down the road if you want better quality a d a friendly service. Plus All the food will arrive together

Before transitioning i was a regular and even the captin of 2 pool teams. New owners came in and i had moved away. I came back a couple of times, the first time i chatted to the landylady saying about my feelings ect..... all was ok and excepted. Next time, with my mates and regulars, as well as not too out there or dressed totaly fem. I/we all was confronted with total hostility from so called mates and even landlady ect. Was met with loads of abuse. SO BE WARNED.... LGBTQAI+... DO NOT GO!! so very sad as it was my local hang out VERY DISAPOINTED.

We arrived as a family group, from the moment we entered we were all made most welcome, the service and food was excellent and unlike other establishments we were allowed to plate our own veg etc. Great service, experience and value for money.

Wonderful time here! It’s a great pub with amazing food, and it has so many nods to Only Fools and Horses besides the name. The people who work here are very friendly, the pup is a mooching sweetheart, and the whole atmosphere is just terrific.

Stopped by for Sunday lunch. Really enjoyed it as the meat (turkey, pork, gammon and beef which you can have a bit of all of) and veg were all good and cooked well. Chocolate sponge pudding was gorgeous! Staff friendly and welcoming, will be back for sure.

just had a meal at the Nags Head Eastrea . It was excellent, came out piping hot, very tasty. would definitely recommend it.

Went for a meal here with friends. Really nice food....home cooked and perfect. I had the curry which was one of the nicest curries I've ever had. They do a carvery roast on Sunday lunchtime, my friends have had it and said it was delicious so we're all going back on a Sunday!. The outside of the pub needs "tarting up" a little but don't be put off. The food and friendly staff is worth stepping in the door. You'll be greeted by a little, slightly chunky dog called Bart....he barks at the door then becomes your best friend if you want that, if not he'll just leave you alone.

After visiting Castle Rising this is a great pub for a pint.

Not been here before. Nice welcoming pub. Pool table for the family to play on. Had the roast dinner which was very enjoyable with a pint.

It's one of the best pubs around the Whittlesey/Eastrea area. Very cosy and very good prices and i would recommend the pub to anyone in the area or coming through

This was the first time we went to the nags head, having lived in the village for 7 years, and after the effects of the lockdowns due to covid, we thought it was right to go and support a local business. The staff were friendly and the place was clean, and the service was great. We will definitely be going back again and more often too.

Just had a meal for two. We both had cheese burgers with sweet potatoe fries.. absolutely delicious! Home made burgers at a very decent size! Prices are more than reasonable for the quality of food received. Will be coming back for sure!! Would highly recommend this place now the new owners are in.

Good pub great food and the staff give you a warm welcome. Parking is easy and plenty of space.

The nags head was a really nice pub to visit we went there for a friend's surprise birthday party and the staff were very friendly and the food supplied for the party was good the entertainment was a karaoke which was great and really livened up the party we had a great time and was glad we visited

Booked in here with my wife and brothers for an evening meal whilst in the area on holiday. The prices of the meals were very reasonable and the portion sizes superb. Staff very friendly. Thoroughly recommended!

Well we have visited here before but never had their 3 course Christmas dinner and very nice it was, my wife had Salmon and I had turkey. The whole meal was very good value for money

Had a steak meal on an evening & was really nice. Tried a Sunday Roast today & worst Roast we had eaten Roast potatoes over cooked, veggies rock hard but meat was nice. Pub is really old dated with decor there are better pubs to eat search & try shame really coz it could do so much better

I've used this establishment now for six years now and it is a consistent good value traditional English pub ....friendly welcome and reasonable bar value with a selection of real ale also free wifi in the pub ...but it's real selling point is it's great value well cooked pub food ....the menu prides it's self on tradition but it is very good produce well cooked and plentiful ....the Sunday lunch is spectacular value and you won't leave hungry ....nice bar but also separate restaurant area too with prompt friendly staff ....if you are in the area please give it a try ....really recommend

Always good for lovely home cooked food by the landlord but if you want Sunday dinner you have to order well in advance as the landlord will not cram people in for the sake of it

We met at the Nags Head for lunch, the staff were very friendly and helpful despite us taking an inordinate amount of time to decide what to eat. A traditional pub menu, well cooked and decent portions.

Had many really good nights here with friendly and attentive staff looking after us. Food is decent quality pub food in fairly large quantities. What really makes it is the other pub goers who are friendly Fen people. Well worth a visit on Karaoke nights

Fifteen family members enjoyed a birthday sunday dinnertime meal with all different dishes to suit ages 8 to 83 only half hour wait from ordering and all food served hot and tasty a very big thank you and well done will definitely be back

went to the Nags Head Whittlesey last week I had rack of Ribs could not fautl it.My son and my partner had the Mixed Grill so much on the plate they could not eat it all and they are big Lads. Staff very nice and friendly we will be going back

POOR Food of very, very ,poor quality Vegetables watery and rock HARD 4 adult meals ordered ... All plates had over three quarters of waste inedible food left on every plate Meat was tough and chewy Terrible don't waste your money on this establishment

Handily placed for Bird watchers checking out nearby Eldernell or March farm. This Pub was ordinary. In an empty place, we paid £8.95 ( I've had better for cheaper) for the Steak and ale Pie Wedge with Mashed potatoes and Vegetables which took a tardy best part of an hour to arrive.When it did it was all quantity rather than quality. A lump of puff pastry slung on top of a pool of meat and gravy is not " Pie" in my book. Masses of mash and vegetables on a huge plate ensure that for filling you up it did it's job. Beer IPA and Abbots bitter was ok. So you pays your money you take your choice. Not one I'd rush back to.

Very nice staff nice food nice country pub nice local and you get to know who goes in there they have pool table darts board jukebox and fruit machines and a big tv for the football. Xx

Lovely little pub/restaurant with nice chatty staff. The place was warm inviting and I wasn't disappointed with the food cooked as I'd asked and I even got a little extra chips because I requested no salad. The facilities were pristine clean with hand towels. The value for money is great and we were lucky enough to go on a night were they had entertainment on. Charity race nights, karaoke, comedian music and pub quiz are available on certain days so a fantastic community feel.Behaved friendly dogs are allowed so next time I'll be taking my little one there.

Limited menu and not cordon bleu, but you get great value and a really full plate of well cooked tasty food, a really welcoming atmosphere.Cannot say anything about desert, I could not finish the generous portion for our father's day meal. I am a hearty eater but could not find room for it all. (normla plates are the stak platter size!)I recommend the chicken and ham pie.Wide selection of beautifully cooked vegetables was unexpected too for a little local pub.Reasonable size car park

Family and I had Sunday lunch at the Nag's Head today. At £6.95 a head (I don't expect Michelin starred food at those prices) it ticked all of the boxes for a local pub Sunday roast lunch and, bearing in mind the cost, was more than acceptable. Total for two pints, two large glasses of wine, five cokes, five roasts and two deserts was a smidgeon over sixty one quid. Would certainly return.

Lower than average - can only think the other reviews were with previous owners? Frozen veg, over cooked beef, frozen Yorkshire - might as have had the whole meal from a microwave packet - on the upside cheap as frozen peas - you really do get what you pay for!

Loverly food, great service & good value for money, I would recommend it. They do main meals or bar snacks so cater for every taste

Found this place passing through towards Peterborough. Warmly welcomed and served promptly. Food was served quickly and was given the choice of bar or restaurant, we chose to sit in the bar area. Mixed grill was large and filling and the meat was delicious. Partner had lasagne and was of a good quality too. Would visit again and hope this can be pushed up the rankings as is a great little gem :)

This is a delightful pub; warm and welcoming with great service. I've sung here a few times and have had the pleasure of meeting the regular customers, who are wonderfully warm and friendly. It's a great place to relax, have a friendly drink and listen to good music of all types. Absolutely love visiting The Nags Head.
