Excellent organisation and help from Debbie beforehand. Emma and staff on the day were so attentive. Food delicious! Thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Highly recommended for a family get together.

Haven't played here since new hole set up. All I can say is well done. The new course layout in my opinion is much better. With the amount of wet weather lately the course played extremely well. Yes there is room for improvement but with the winter conditions we really enjoyed the course today. Only one temporary green. The 19th hole facilities were just as good. Well done. On today's merit have to give you top marks overall.

Played golf here today, the course is not in bad condition considering what it was like a few years ago. The tee boxes are a bit uneven. That said the greens were all in pretty fair condition and the fairways were not to bad considering the dry weather we have recently had. There is plenty of parking and a nice bar and cafe area. The staff are all very friendly worth a trip. They are clearly putting a lot of effort into improving the course and the seating areas outside. they prepared a very nice breakfast for all of us. They also have a fitness gym etc..

No signs - so we think we ended up playing the wrong nine holes as not one of them was marked!!..... hills of mud and empty bunkers were found!..... terrible greens. All I can say is - had there of been just a couple of signs to tell ya which path to follow - I might be writing a different review. Place looks like a pikey building site with pot holes and dumped rubbish all over the place. Won’t be going back. Oh not to mention the gypsy looking mobile homes that the company are also trying to flog!! They don’t even look over the course!

Played golf at Great Hadham and was disappointed to see that the course was in very poor condition, I can honestly say there was nothing good to say about this course, tees to green are in bad condition very patchy greens. It reminded me of a un maintained public course. I would not play here again there are much better courses to play.

We went over for our Sunday roast The mains was good and it was also good value for money at £10 However we found the staters £5 - very small portion of mushrooms and the pudding £5 - ice cream , to be poor value The staff were lovely and friendly

Our buffet for 60 at the recent AGM was more than adequate and at a very reasonable all in price as it included the use of the room for our meeting. The staff are always most accommodating and make for a really enjoyable evening. We will be back next year.

We have held our club AGM here for a number of years and have always been well looked after. The staff are most helpful and the buffet is good value for money.

I've only been here for special events but the food was mediocre and the decor is uninspiring. OK venue for a party but nothing to write home about.

Played golf in a recent charity event which was followed by lunch - a steak slice which was more like a steak slime and soggy greasy chips Could have got better food in a roadside cafe

We had passed a large banner advertising Sunday lunch and had also a leaflet advertising this, so decided to visit. Four so us went for Sunday Carvery. The bar area was very tired looking. I asked for a particular spirit, not that unusual but they had none. It was a warm day, no ice offered! for my second choice. No choice of draught beer. I would imagine they do not do much bar trade. The dining hall was past it's best. Very dirty carpet. The meat was from catering packs but was not too bad, the veg was very well done. All the desserts were mass produced bar one. Too much choice of other restaurants to ever go back

Had an excellent breakfast before a wonderful round of golf. Had the Great Hadham breakfast and would fully recommend it. The sausages were quality and the mushrooms were the best I've ever had. Very well cooked, lots of it, and very good value for money. Will come here for breakfast even when I'm not playing! Thank you.

My wife and I are members of the gym at Great Hadham so are in the premises frequently. Occasionally we call in for one of their now famous "Sunday lunches". Great value and great quality. A choice of at least three roast meats or a fish or vegetarian alternative. Plenty of choice of vegetables and all the usual condiments. priced at £9.75 for a single course, but a range of starters and desserts are available all currently priced at £5. When we were there the décor (incl crisp linen table cloths) was smart. The place was quite busy as it is becoming increasingly popular for Sunday lunch and it remained busy between 1pm and 3pm. For a good value quality meal which saves you from the cooking and washing up at home, it is hard to beat

I went to the Mothers Day carvery expecting a scrummy lunch. I was not amused to find rolled pork, Lamb, Turkey and Beef all in catering pack form, if I go to a carvery I expect full joints of meat and a whole Turkey to be carved. This was not the case, it was a joke. I shall not be returning

We held our Bridge Club annual "prize-giving " day here. This proved an ideal venue for our 24 members. We occupied a "private" room for the day, playing cards in the morning and again after lunch. A decadent way to spend a day, admittedly, but great!!! We had coffee and biscuits at 10 o'clock morning arrival and again at 4.30 pm before leaving for home. We went to their main restaurant for lunch where we had been allocated dedicated seating. Lunch was excellent considering the numbers catered for. A choice of 4 starters, a popular buffet with a choice of beef, turkey or ham (or a mixture of all) with numerous different veg and all the trimmings, then a choice of 5 different desserts. Great service and exceptional value. So for a day's meeting for a few dozen people I would highly recommend this venue.

Food was excellent service was excellent. Just a shame the premises is now in a bit of a sorry state. Dead plants outside by entrance. Outside dining which is lovely on a summer evening was dirty & untidy. Light bulbs outside were not all working. Wouldn’t take long for a little tidy up

Have been here 3 times now and love it every time. Food is great value and size and always good. Drinks are also great, we always get a smoothie. But most of all the family running it are so nice and really friendly.

Way back 40 years ago I was a regular Saturday night customer along with my then husband and step-daughter. Jon and his parents ran it and it was excellent. I moved away 19 years ago and came back to try it but the menu was poor and no different to a pub. I have not been back for years. However I returned this week and was not disappointed. My friend had the lamb tagine as she wanted a main meal and I had a jacket potato as I eat a main meal in the evening. Both excellent as was my decaff latte and my friend's G and T. We will return.
