Have been here 3 times now and love it every time. Food is great value and size and always good. Drinks are also great, we always get a smoothie. But most of all the family running it are so nice and really friendly.

Friendly welcome, clean, prompt service, food presented beautifully and tasted delicious. Couldn’t fault it. Well done team!

Horrible sausage abd egg muffin today. Sausage was old and egg a funny blue colour. Yuk. I wouldn't go there again yruly Scrumptious it is not.

The food was lovely and warm, and the staff were so friendly! They made sure we enjoyed our meal and the service was quick.

Really disappointing breakfast, clearly cheap tinned mushrooms, tinned tomatoes no taste whatsoever, surely fresh tomatoes and mushrooms a bare minimum. Cappuccino was very nice hence the two stars, but feels like I paid £12 for a coffee and they only take cash! Wow this place has changed.

Initially quick and good service. Lovely hot chocolates, coffee and cakes, forgot a coffee but was quickly served to us when reminded. However the bill seemed more than expected and when we checked , we’d been charged for 8 items not the 7 we had ordered. When we very politely brought this up with the waitress - instead of recognising the mistake ( which we didn’t mind , a mistake is a mistake , it happens!) - she would not listen and started to become rude and needlessly defensive, stating “we are too busy” (to deal with this issue). Even-though it was their mistake and a simple refund would have sufficed. Seeing that this was going in circles, I stated again that we had been overcharged but I was happy to leave it and we would just leave the cafe, this was met with more rudeness and the overcharged money shoved back at us. Such a shame that a simple mistake was handled in such a poor manner - not very good customer service. We were not complaining at all, we merely pointed out we had been overcharged which I don’t think is unreasonable, and we received appalling service. Now I’ve looked at the reviews of this place, it’s clear that from other reviews the bad customer service is a recurring problem!

Stopped for a cup of tea each and my partner a portion of chips. I’m not meant to eat chips and kept getting tempted so asked but if I could just have a side of advocado and salmon! This is what it got - such a lovely presentation and it stopped me whipping his chips! It’s only the 2nd we’ve been to Ware but this cafe is definitely on our list for breakfasts and lunch.

Excellent for a good egg mayo sandwich (other fillings are available ;) and an all day breakfast. Good place for a Saturday afternoon break from shopping

Stopped hear as it started to rain ordered the healthy option salmon and prawn with lettuce and brown bread. Very tasty and fresh. My wife had panini with chips, said it was delicious. Service was amazing and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable too. Would defenatly recomend.

Just got back from lunch here with my wife and the level of service and food was far from great. We ordered 2 cold lunches, an egg mayonnaise sandwich and a chicken salad baguette which took around 30 minutes to serve whereas the customer next to us ordered a cooked breakfast at the same time and his came after 10 minutes. When it arrived the egg mayonnaise was a poached egg and the chicken baguette consisted of 2 small pieces of chicken in each half of the baguette. I queried the amount with the waitress who advised she didn’t know the portion sizes but offered to get some more chicken which was declined as I didn’t want to wait any longer as I was hungry. Both lunches were served with salad & coleslaw however no cutlery was given so had to ask for those. The waitress brought them over in her hands and not wrapped up in serviettes which I found very alarming. Because of the wait I had finished my coffee before the food arrived so I ordered a bottle of water. This was served by banging it down in front of me without asking if I needed a glass. At no point throughout our lunch was we treated like customers only a hindrance. There was another table complaining about not getting served before another table who ordered after them and asked to speak to the manager but none of the 3 young waitresses knew how to deal with this and were huddled together behind the counter laughing. Major training in serving food and dealing with customers is required here.

Nice staff, not the nicest atmosphere, but great food with lots of choice. Brilliant portion sizes at a cheap price. My burger and thick vanilla milkshake was truly scrumptious!

Slow service, waited 30 mins for a drink. Food came out and it was small, bland, poorly presented, the waitress didn’t even know what we had. She literally brought it to the table and said “I don’t know what this is” well she wasn’t wrong because nor did we. It wasn’t cheap either. My first and last trip to this cafe.

We have eaten in Truly Scrumptious before the lockdown and we’re very impressed - however, we received recently tried a take away and we’re extremely disappointed!. We telephoned the order through and were told 15 minutes. We are local so said we would collect. We left it 20 minutes before setting out but then had to wait a good 20 minutes outside before it was ready. Once home the order was missing one whole dinner and what we did get was very poor both in quality and presentation.

Placed an order and paid for it, took over an hour and half when I finally called for an update I was told that the order was never received and there was nothing they could do, the money was taken out of my account and they said it won’t be refunded due to the order never being placed, I was disappointed by the customer service received over the phone they was completely unhelpful. I would not recommend ordering from this place as they do not care about the customers they only want the money!

We had a smoothie and shake plus couple of superb chocolate gateau pieces. We ate outside. Excellent quality. Generous helpings. Place was spotless. So clean you could eat off the floor, not that we did. They only took cash but I assume that will change once they get busier after May. Service was very quick and friendly.

I ordered on Uber eats at 1pm today, by 240pm my food was still ‘being prepared’ according to the tracking. I called to find out where our food was and was told it was being cancelled as they didn’t have a driver....I asked why no one had contacted me as they have all my details to inform me no food was actually coming? She replied it was up to me to call Uber eats and find out! I asked about my refund and was given the same answer! So I ordered food from your restaurant and I have to call almost two hours later to be told they’re not sending anything and it’s my job to call people chasing up my refund and whereabouts of food! She only seemed to be bothered and apologies after I told her I would be writing this review! Terrible service from a rude unreliable cafe! Don’t waste your time! If they can’t deliver food people order with Uber eats then why are you even in there? I will be advising everyone I know to avoid this place and won’t be using them ever again! Fowl

Ordered through Uber Eats. We chose a chicken shish wrap and a salt beef sandwich for delivery ASAP. After accepting the order, the app said ‘preparing’ for an hour and then kept pushing the delivery time further and further. It eventually turned up an hour and a half later. The chicken shish wrap was the worst we’ve had. It wasn’t a wrap, it was a plate of rice with chunks of chicken on top and half a pita bread resting on top. The salt beef was extremely average. Would not order again.

Treated myself and my mother to a late breakfast during the previous lockdown, food turned up in metal trays and was really hot, yummy, would definitely recommend 👍😀

We came here a month or so ago ,and although the food was good, the drinks were cold, it was busy and we didn't say anything, this time food and drinks were absolutely spot, waitress was friendly and attentive, it was busy again,so that's a good sign that people like the place, we certainly do, will definitely return soon.

The 1st time we have visited this place after a weekend with friends, we have a coffee each and then a breakfast, staff seemed a little grumpy, and not paying much attention, had to ask 3 times for something, coffee was cold,and breakfast average, would I return, yes i would give it another go,but would have to improve for me.

Saw the good reviews on Trip advisor and decided to check it out as we were staying at the Premier Inn just a short stroll away. Just went for a hot chocolate the first day to see what the place was like then for the next two mornings we went with friends for breakfast. All freshly cooked and served with a smile. I had the sausage and bacon muffin one day and then the pancakes with bananas and cream the next day. We all had something different but all were equally as good, Would definitely recommend it.

Visited on a Wednesday morning and it was reasonably quiet. We had the breakfast muffins with tea, both were very good and freshly cooked. Would revisit.

This is the first time I have ever had a takeaway breakfast and I must admit it was fabulous. We both ordered 2 x eggs, 2 x bacon, 2 x sausages, tomatoes, bubble & squeak with toast. Everything was presented lovely in a good sized takeaway foil tray with lid. The bubble & squeak is definitely the best that I have found in Ware - the flavour was amazing! Really lovely sausages and bacon too. One of the eggs was overdone, but I think this was because it had carried on cooking in the tray. It was such a minor thing and it all tasted so good, that I couldn't see the point of marking down to 4 instead of a 5!Cost about £6 each, so I thought that was good value. Will definitely not hesitate to get a takeaway breakfast from here again.

We went into this cafe looking for lunch. It was quite busy and looked new. I had an all day breakfast in a bun & my wife had toasted muffin with smoked salmon & scrambled egg - excellent and great value for money.

Pit stop with the kids has been revamped in terms of decor and menu since I last visited still good value for a panin I etc and a coffee if you want a no frills option

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The menu choice was great including all you would expect and some different ones too. I had smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, roasted asparagus and avocado which was very nicely cooked and tasted great. I recommend a visit.

Yummy breakfast meal with a pot of tea. Good efficient service for a fairly busy Sunday morning. Will be back

Dont get me wrong the food here is always lovely however the service needs to be better. You can sit and wait at a table while people that arrived after you get served first. The serves dont seem to care at all. As I said the food is always lovely but when the chefs come out of the kitchen they aren't wearing hair nets or any proper clothing I would say is suitable for a kitchen and working in hospitality and retail myself I have a good idea of the sort of hygiene and protective clothing that should be worn. Has gone downhill since the old staff members left earlier in the year

Came here for a quick bite to eat while in ware, hadn’t visited before but the cafe is just in the high street so very easy to get to.

Miserable Staff Unhelpful..I ordered the set breakfast. Half way through i noticed 4 Curly Pubic type hair on the Egg and in the beans.🤮 They tried to say it must be airborne What ??? Tables and condiments grubby and sticky.Toilet very unhygenic. Never Again

With a family of three, i was shocked to see that we were unwelcomd. The staff do not see you as customers but more as a stain that must be removed. Truly shocking to see that there is still little places like these who look down at you. As we sat, they ignored us as each new customers got served straight away. If you do not look like the upper class they want then please rethink coming here. I have a disabled so who was upset being looked down upon by this cafe. He took time to calm down as he believed its was his fault. Please be careful as they will make you feel as we do, unwanted and a person with the wrong look.

Once again, need a good rating!!! Just coffee and tea, reasonably priced in a unpretentious very busy café, breakfasts looked enormous, next time!

Reasonable prices means average food. The breakfast I had was quite big but it lacked taste, but if you’re looking for something cheap and cheerful this place will not fail you. Tea and coffee does not come with your breakfast.

Dreadfully overpriced, dirty and order took ages...I felt like an imposter asking for my food which was over 30mins...cheese sandwich!! Toilets were filthy and staff taking their lunch at 12.30 midday?! We used to like this place but won’t be going back.

Ordered on the phone and paid £12.10 for a bit order for breakfast. Took away what she gave me over the till & got home to eat with my friends to find 3/4 of the order missing & what we received was wrong. I Rang up to see if I could get my money back & the girl on the phone hung up after pretending to not understand what I was saying. Awful service. Never again.

It is a very nice eating place with pleasant staff and wide choice on the menu with different choices of breakfast or more healthy options as Loch Fyne (a lovely meal of smòked salmon, prawns, lettuce with bread. For my grand children they love the pancakes. There is also main meals if you are eating later on the day. All at a very reasonable price.

Went in with a few friends and the waitress mucked up my order. She tried to say it was my fault however it wasn’t, she realised, was polite and brought out the chips she had forgotten saying I wouldn’t have to pay for them. Got to the register to pay and they had charged me for the chips. I told them the waitress said I wouldnt have to pay, but the woman at the register rudely I should have sent the whole order back and asked them to fix it all for me and still asked me to pay. In the end I gave in and paid the extra money for their mistake.

For the first time in a long time we were in Ware early so looked for some breakfast, this place was packed, which we took as a good sign. Serve was prompt and the food was good I thought it was reasonably price.

Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning as our normal cafe was closed. We both had cheese omelette and a coffee. The food was nice and arrived relatively quickly. The staff were nice and came to take our order quickly. Thought the price was a little expensive (£14.00) but overall nice.

The staff were good, the decor nice and modern but the good was flavourless, cheap sausages, bland scrambled eggs, terrible smoothies. Wouldn't recommend.

Had breakfast with my partner it was nice quite expensive, then he asked for a glass of tap water and they charge 50p so he could take his tablet, couldn't believe that we was charged 50p. Never been charge for tap water surely they can give you this free has a good will questure. Won't return !!!!

He estado aquí muchas veces con mis niños, menores de cinco años y siempre me pareció acogedor con buena comida, bebida y buenos precios. Sí, puede conseguir poco transitada es porque es un buen lugar. Sin duda volveremos.

Es sorprendente cómo se prepara la comunicación verbal algunas personal café poco que decir a sus clientes. Un pedido de café era bastante fácil, pero, aparte de pedir el dinero no se hablaba una palabra más. Incluso cuando otra camarera sirve a nosotros nuestras bebidas fuera, ella no proferir palabra.

Have been here a few times in the last month and I must say that I am more than happy with the food and The service is always friendly. At present I have only tried the breakfasts but I look forward to trying some of main meals on the menu. This is a very popular cafe and I can see why.

My partner and I often visit Truly Scrumptious for breakfast . A really good cooked full English or an omelette are our favourites. They have a good varied menu, lots of variety. so if you are looking for a salad for a light lunch, or just a cup of coffee, this is the place to go.

I used to go here quite frequently years ago, and having been to it for the first time in a while I realised just how expensive it has become, for the same service & quality! i.e almost £5 for a bacon sandwich (baring in mind it is just a simple cafe) and extra prices included paying more to have your sandwich toasted? very strange.The food is nice though and the staff are lovely, but having been here before when it was more reasonably priced, I was just a bit disappointed. A cafe called 'Ware to eat' just up the road is much cheaper and is of equal quality for both food and service/if not better!

Nice and very reasonably priced lunch, coffee and tea were nice too.Staff were polite. Menu had a good choice of sandwiches, baked potatoes with various fillings, toasties, burgers, omelettes, salads, daily specials and all day breakfasts.

Went here the other day as a group of us, one friend accidentally dropped some of his food on the floor and apologised to waitress when she cleared our plates. She responded with "he can pick it up" us thinking she was joking went up to the till to pay and she said to him that she is a waitress and not paid to clean up his mess, proceeding to make him clean up the mess spilt food. Understandable if he purposely dropped the food, but appalling attitude from this staff member. Not what customer service should be!

Often difficult to get into, the food is a good selection and always tasty. The staff are very friendly.

Ideal place for a casual breakfast, brunch or lunch. The food is good quality, in particular the bread and bacon, I mean, granary bread with a full english! Unheard of in these parts for under a fiver I'm sure!! A good cup of coffee to be had as well.

We always go here for a fry up it has to be timed right at the weekend as can get very busy food is good staff friendly place is clean it's very good value for money. It can be a bit tight with a pushchair and the stairs to get in are tricky

Went here for lunch a couple of times last week whilst staying in Ware. The first time, I had a cheese and onion toastie which was fine. We had a piece of shortbread, which to be honest, was not at all palatable. It was completely flavourless and not what shortbread should taste like.The second time I had a tuna salad (their own take on salad Nicoise) is was really nice and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband had chicken mayo with bacon, salad. He felt it was a bit heavy with mayonnaise, but he managed to eat most of it. We shared a plate of chips which were good. Staff were OK. I think there is a back entrance to this cafe, but not sure if it is wheelchair accessible. All in all there wasn't a lot to complain about, and we'd most likely visit again next time we're in Ware.

Swerve the Punch House unless you've got all day. This place serves good food fast, with pleasant service at a good price. Decor is boring, but you can't have everything ?! We recommend this place for a lunchtime catch up with friends.

We come here often the food is lovely and well priced sometimes it's difficult to get a table due to the popularity of the place but it's worth the wait!

Have been here on many occasions does such a good fry up perfect for the weekend! Place can get very busy at the weekends so you struggle to find a seat but is worth the wait the foods good and very well priced! Definitely be back

We have recently,about 4 months ago, changed our breakfast venue and found this treasure in the heart of Ware.There are 7 of us, we meet weekly and the waitresses are extremely friendly and helpful and have made us feel at home .The food is freshly prepared and nothing is too much trouble. I would add that we are all in our late 60s and early 70s.

We went in for breakfast on Monday around 10.15. This café has plenty of room and the service is pretty quick. They offer set breakfasts 1-4. I had 3 which was fine. Including tea for two, left feeling satisfied. I asked if the minute silence for the victims of the Paris attack would be observed at 11.00 and was told there were no objections. However, at 11.00, everthing carried on as usual with the waitress serving and customers (except me and my wife) carried on talking. I feel there should have been some respect shown after all, what is one minute?

Visited Ware for the first time and happened upon this place. Food was reasonably priced and the service excellent. Would definitely visit again.

Popped in today for a drink and snack whilst in Ware.I've been there before but not for a while. I'm wondering if it's under new management.My husband loves his coffee but he couldn't drink his here. Said it was not at all nice. My hot chocolate was so strong , again not nice. And I had a shortbread biscuit which was so cold as it had been in the fridge area and tasted like a cheap, floury biscuit.Such a shame as when I went there before for lunch it was lovely. But that was a while ago now.Service was good, staff were pleasant, but we won't be returning.Little cafes are fantastic, I so much prefer them to the big chains like Costa or Cafe Nero. This just wasn't up to the mark though.

I have been visiting this Cafe with my partner and family for several years. It's a little gem in Ware!Lovely food, and brilliant staff, service is always spot on. In fact we go there so often the waitress knows my order off by heart!I recommend it for breakfast and lunch, the food is delicious and really good value for money.It's a really popular cafe so we tend to go outside of peak times, sometimes it's so popular we have had to wait for a table - but this is well worth it.I'd recommend for everyone!

We visited with my grandparents who are regulars, the staff were lovely, attending to everything we needed, very patient with my son who is a little fussy, lovely homemade meals served to all of us, everyone ate different but enjoyed just the same :-)

Have been to this cafe a few times now and have always found the food to be good. The premises are clean and the toilets are well looked after. It offers good value for money and would recommend it. Staff are friendly and efficient.

We've eaten here on numerous occasions as it's close to where we live. The food is always great, but the staff are extremely miserable. I wish they were nicer as I'd go there even more! I'm so reluctant to give my money to people who are so undeserving and rude. Maybe opt for a takeaway from there if you want some nice food without hearing the boss and his staff argue...!!

We had a sandwich and a pastry with coffee. Good quality, inexpensive and friendly staff. We've been a couple of times and enjoyed both. There is a Costa in Ware, but we prefer here.

Its a shame as we expected more from this place. We arrived rather late in the day on a sunday but was told no hot drinks being served however food was. The order we made came to the table wrong but changed quickly by a member of staff that clearly needs to learn how to smile and perhaps appreciate her customers! Within around ten minutes she began putting the chairs up onto the tables clearly getting ready to close for the day. This was not pleasant when trying to eat and enjoy a lazy sunday afternoon, perhaps she should of mentioned that they would be closing shortly when ordering our food. We felt so unwelcome we left our food and paid. The girl serving had nothing nice to say not even a thank you or even a smile, she is clearly in wrong jobs as she as not customer awareness or people skills. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Loud radio, not even tuned in properly. Poor choice of cakes. Dirty peeling table cover. Staff were nice though. But truly scrumptious it was not.

Seems to have a good reputation and always relatively busy - having just returned from Greece I was drawn in by the "Greek Salad" special offer. If a small heap of lettuce, some feta crumbs and two olives is a Greek salad then this is great. If however........ Service was "reluctant" and without a smile - really not impressed (as you can gather).

There was good choice of meals, plus ‘create your own’ breakfast, (all-day) which was cooked to perfection, at a very reasonable price. Large cup of tea, poured from a teapot. Very civilised !Popular and busy, but still enough room (mid-morning) with my order taken and a hot drink provided almost straight away. My hot meal was served by a pleasant and friendly waitress, well within ten minutes, which for me was perfectly acceptable.Nice plain, clean tables. 10 tables for four, and 4 comfortable chairs (for casual coffee, etc) inside the front window. The general atmosphere was bright, light and tidy.I came away feeling rested and refreshed.
