Great family friendly pub. Good food and a good atmosphere. Nice garden area with a play area for kids and lovely views of the countryside. Sometimes local riders will pop in for one with their horses which are lovely to meet.

Lovely little pub in the great village setting. Had lunch which was nice, pub was quiet and we sat in the garden so couldn’t comment on the atmosphere. I can imagine it gets packed at weekends due to the amount of tables at the back and front. Would visit again if passing.

We were disappointed with the poor quality evening meal food, stodgy pies (probably cheap wholesale), dry chicken and unappetising veg. The service was ok at first but by the time for desserts (9pm) we thought the waiters had gone home. We had an excessively long wait between ordering our food and getting it served, both for the starters and the mains. The apple pie dessert was nice. A good large car park. The toilets require cleaning and better maintenance, the hand drier didn't work.

Great pub and lovely beer garden. Sunday roast was probably the worst I have had. Toby carvery so much cheaper and tastes better. Friendly staff here so overall good

Huge thank you to the Plume staff for our daughters big day, the staff were amazing, food was on point foe 25 people in one sitting. Massive thanks to Nic, Liz, Chris, Jed. Mark in the kitchen was amazing. Highly recommend the Plume.

Lovely pub, had a couple of drinks in the beautiful beer garden on a lovely Saturday evening. Would recommend to anyone passing through who wants to pop in for a drink. Service was excellent, particularly from Nicola!

Had a great time at the Plume! Nice was absolutely superb and quite honestly some of the best service I’ve ever had! We were having a poor day before we turned up to the Feathers! Really turned our day around and cannot wait to come back again soon. Although if Nic isn’t there we will be so disappointed and our day will be frankly ruined.

Was there to celebrate a 70th birthday. Other than a mix up with the booking ( it had been cancelled when it hadn’t ) there were no problems at all. My first complaint is that the glass wear was wrank, soap stains all over them to the point we had to ask for clean glasses several times. Second complaint was that the table attendant took our drinks order, then forgot all about it and we had to reorder through a second attendant. Other than that, it was great. The food we all ordered was delicious, the service we received along with the food was amazing. I myself had the grilled gammon with fried eggs. The gammon steak was long thick and juicy. There was also a lamb shank, and the meat just fell off the bone. If it wasn’t for the dirty glasses and forgotten drinks order, it’d be five stars all round. And quick shout out to our table attendant, whose name I didn’t get, but is the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.

Avoid if you are looking for a good Sunday roast dinner. Clearly wasn't freshly cooked for the plate . Veggies, roasts, yorkshires all cheap quality ones you can get from frozen food stores. Or they were very badly prepared. Very disappointing for £16. Won't return despite it being my local pub . Good for a drink on a sunny day in the garden. Shame - food used to be good

Came up for a drink this evening and was served by Jed who was very attentive and a very good barman who clearly knows what he’s doing so 5 stars to him

It was our first family visit and we really enjoyed the food , the Nachos were exceptional and the treacle pudding was so yummy Really good value for money We will definitely be back again soon Special praise for our waitress Nic who was so helpful and friendly she really helped us with our choices and had lots of patience

Just came for a drink with a friend, his recommendation. Place was half full, winding up dinner. Restaurant servers came off duty. Bar service was non-existant, too busy chatting. Regulars had to call to get service, and so did we, eventually, despite being seated at the bar. Not even a thank-you on paying. I certainly won't be back.

Had an amazing dinner. Mark had excellent service and brought a new level of satisfaction to are dining experience.

Lovely garden on a sunny spring day with a playground for the children. It's just a shame the food is so ordinary but this is the same with all the Greene King chain pubs.

I had the most amazing tomato, halloumi and pesto salad tonight, so flavoursome and beautifully presented. Would go back just for that! Was with a large group and everyone had lovely dishes and the service was excellent. The care taken over allergies was exceptional. Beautiful location and the building historic with a fantastic atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Alison and I met friends at the Plume last night where we stayed for a very lovely dinner. The food was excellent including a delicious burger, which makes a great change not to get an overcooked dry one these days! Our waitress Stephany, was excellent. Will definitely return.

me and my family went to the plume for a Sunday munch having heard about the place from a few friends, it was amazing and had a lovely Sunday roast in the garden would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely meal at The Plume of feathers for my mums 90th birthday. The food was lovely, the staff were friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend eating here. They are a dog friendly pub which was important to us as a family. Thank you for making mum’s birthday dinner a success.

Lovely pub, not too busy at lunch time we was lovely and quick. Once finished our meals we had a few drinks and a great interaction with the manager. Very pleasant and will be returning again.

Chloe served my family and I, she was lovely, helpful with deciding what to have when we were undecided by giving us her honest and personal opinion. The food came quick and all of us found them delicious, the cheesy garlic bread was the best we’ve ever had.

The welcome was made very noticeable! Mark and the team were very attentive and jed was available for the bar service. Good food and drinks was experienced and a local restaurant and bar shall be returned to.

I nearly choked at the price of one and a half pints of shandy, 1 pint of Abbott with a bag of crisps (£14+) but I don't go out that often and was told this wasn't a bad price nowadays! Apparently, it's even cheaper on Mondays 😀

This has become our new regular weekly as our local Green King became a Chef & Brewer and we did not like the new menu there. Really pleased we found this one. Staff are friendly and always remember our order now. Food is good and well priced. They have a gorgeous beer garden too. Perfect for kids and dog friendly. Don’t hesitate to visit!

It’s fair to say that the first time I came here I really enjoyed my night however on our return found the whole experience very disappointing. Food portions sizes were ridiculously small, a portion of peas were 12 peas, I counted them out of disbelief! It was very quiet in the pub and restaurant ( max of 20 people throughout) but yet we waited 55 minutes for our mains to come out and then had to go and ask if we could order deserts. The female manager was quite rude and abrupt at times. The only saving grace were the young lads who served us who were super polite and helpful and the only reason for the three stars.

Went to the Plume on New Years Eve after several years abstinence due to a general turndown in quality and service. We were so glad we reversed our decision. The service, food and atmosphere was back to years ago when people flocked there. Now we know how good it is we will booking regularly again.

We had a great time visiting Santa for breakfast. The team made a real effort to make it special for the kids. Well done 👍🏻

My 3 friends very much enjoyed their meals and the service was very good. However, there was nothing enjoyable or notable about my festive choice. Starter about 4 prawns on lettuce leaves with some mayo. The mushroom bourginon dry pastry heavy and not a particularly enjoyable taste with average vegetables. The cheesecake was bland. Just in reply to your response, I have been twice in the past over last couple years for roast dinner and it was very average. This is not a good foody pub - just heated up food. A reminder why I prefer my own food. To be honest two mushroom pasties from Lidls were much tastier.

Not the best food for the cost very slow coming out for a set menu, when it did arrive it was cold we got board waiting to pay so went up to the bar so we could leave. Would not go back or recommend

Nice looking pub and menu but.... We arrived about 7 pm and there was no light in the car park. I actually thought an axe murder was going to jump out any minute. I braved the walk to the door using my phone's torch, and I thought that the pub looked lovely. We were greated by two very smilie servers that also took our order. Things went wrong from there. I ordered the grilled salmon with a side of vegetables but was presented with fishcakes on a bed of rocket. When I said that this is not what I ordered, the plate was slammed in front of me, and I was told that this what they had. I smiled and said that this was not what I wanted, but I was told that this is the only salmon they had. I said that this might be the case but I did not want it. I was begrudgingly allowed to order something else but by the time my dinner came, my friend had already finished hers. No apology or compensation given. Will not be returning

Disappointing roast at the Plume of feathers today I think a 3 is generous. Received one and a half slices of overcooked beef, raw parsnips, the potatoes barley saw the oven and broccoli wasn't cooked either. The whole plate was luke warm at best and the gravy was far from plentiful. The one positive was the cauliflower cheese. We were not table checked however there only seemed to be one member of staff who didn't stop. We went elsewhere for dessert and wouldn't return.

Came here for a family meal 12 of us in total 2 of which are celiac and we're pleasantly surprised by the choices available and that the lady serving us knew the severity of the disease and looked after them. We will all be returning for our christmas family get together.

Me and my partner were just having a walk around tewin and come across this lovely pub! We started to get hungry and needed a bite! We come in and was welcome by a very lovely lady and she sat us at a table and help us with the order.

An all around good pub. Nice burgers. The dark haired bloke behind the bar was good too. Quick and good to talk to. Definitely coming again.

Came in for something to eat after watching some firework's, was greeted by a very friendly lady who introduced herself to us Stacey, who explained there was a band practicing tonight so could get a bit loud, we really enjoyed listening to them play some old classics! Food was lovely and the young lad who served us was very polite. Will definitely be returning soon!

Having recently moved to the area, we decided to try this local pub for lunch. Nice pub lunch, although slightly long wait for drinks. Nice food and pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Cutlery was dirty, Staff weren’t all that friendly and the food left a lot to be desired. Meat in the lasagne was vile and with a tiny 2 layers overall I was left hungry. Side portion of chips were cold, small and bottom of the barrel. After looking forward to a nice pub dinner we were deeply disappointed

Wow what a difference! We had almost given up with this pub as the service was dire. Under new management now and you can certainly tell. We were really looked after (my elderly mother and myself). New menu too which was lovely. Food has always been nice and the location is handy for us plus it's disabled/wheelchair friendly. Definitely deserves five stars now 😊

***response to the reply… not sure what else I can say, perhaps better organisation so things don’t get forgotten?*** They let me keep a homemade cake behind the counter whilst we did a dog walk. Friendly and happy to help. However the service wasn’t great - they forgot one meal and we had to ask for some of the accompaniments that were listed on the menu as part of the meal as they were forgotten for 3 out of 4 meals. The atmosphere and the surroundings were nice. Dog friendly.
