Thanks to Chris, his staff & 'the locals' for making us welcome on our Motorhome pubstopover. I had messaged prior to visiting, to ask if it was OK to park up and was welcomed, just asked to eat & drink in the pub. Chris has only recently taken over and started food, currently a very limited menu but good portions and well cooked. No facilities except toilets when open, but we are self sufficient so not an issue. Thanks, Tim Sue n Bailey 🐾

Yet again a wonderful Sunday lunch. An abundance of veg and melt in the mouth meat of your choice. Zara is always so warm and welcoming, staff polite and very attentive. If you havnt tried this wonderful pub yet be sure to put it on your list of places to try 😊

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst working in the area.. what a beautiful place. The Mash Tun room was quirky with everything you could possibly need including a tranquil garden to the rear. The bluebell inn has a proper country pub vibe, amazing food and the lovely family that run it really make you feel welcome. Can only wish my stay was longer!

Amazing Yorkshire pudding with stew and dumplings. Lovely chilli with jacket potatoes and cheese. The food was cooked to perfection and served promptly. The cafe has been refurbished and is lovely and spacious. Served and prepared by a lovely couple. Very friendly.

The Lincolnshire Poacher is situated in a nice riverside position and is a charming old building. Although the beamed ceilings and white walls attest to age and tradition, the large areas of bare red bricks go really well with the understated, and almost minimalist modern decor that shouldn’t really work in an old pub like this - but does, and they have achieved a modern look with old-fashioned comfort. Service here was welcoming and very good, and the pub is run by a charming couple. We certainly enjoyed our visit.

Came for lunch but didn't order. £14 for a sandwich with a doorstop of bread but little filling. Have to order at the till. Had to clear our table ourselves. Erratic service. This is a glorified prefab in a park. I can get a beautifully presented and delicious savdwich at the famous George Hotel in Stamford for less, where I order and am served wherever I am sitting, by a uniformed and well trained waiter. Have a wander round Ayscoughfee gardens but avoid the cafe and a fleecing

Myself & a friend stopped off at Silverwood cafe! We had a look round the garden centre & other shops, quiet at the time! We decided to have the breakfast on our visit, the food was mediocre, the server was very polite & jolly! Unfortunately while we were sat in the restaurant, our visit was disturbed by loud foul language, only can assume from the kitchen. I really do not appreciate visiting a cafe to hear swearing while I try to enjoy my food. As for visiting again, I shall not!

Found this little tea shop and it looked lovely. Friendly service. Cheese scone was lovely, warmed in microwave. Sausage roll, also warmed in microwave, was very greasy; probably better eaten cold. Both appeared to be home made. Decided against the cake as only two to choose from; we were going to order the cake platter and glad we didn’t as £14 for two choices would be disappointing. Unfortunately the view from our table was of the kitchen. I realise that this could happen anywhere but to see it is not good- the man decided to sort the bin. He took off the lid and arranged the full bag, then added some more rubbish to it. Yes I watched intently to see what he did next. Then he picked up a tea towel and began drying cutlery and putting it away. He did NOT wash his hands. He then went back to the bin and moved it, with the tea towel in his hand. He then came into the eating area and took an order. He then returned to the kitchen to start the order. At no point did he wash his hands and he was still using the tea towel that had most definitely touched the bin. We left and however cute this place looks, we will not be returning. They need to look at their hygiene rules and routines urgently.

Our friends invited us here for afternoon tea. We were seated on a table facing the fading afternoon sun which was very bright. Unfortunately we were told there were no blinds which could be used to block the glare so we tilted the table round to avoid the worst of it. You get to choose your sandwich filling (and bread type), I went for egg mayo. This is good as the sandwiches are freshly prepared and tasted great. Unfortunately there was only 3 small fingers worth, not sure what happened to the normal 4th finger! There was also a slim piece of quiche, scone and 3 cakes. All lovely, if very sweet. Given this is a farm shop, they should consider doing a purely savoury afternoon tea too. Prices are not cheap, but the quality of food and service is very good.
