Came here today for a big Family get together absolutely fantastic atmosphere, lovely food and wonderful attentive staff will certainly be returning

it was the first tie we had our works party at the golf course, and we would 100% book again the staff was very friendly on the ball and nothing was to much trouble. the atmosphere was lovely they made sure they accommodated for the football fans on the England world cup day and supplied great music and a free photo booth the food was very tasty and plenty of it, they also added a fee shot voucher for each person. safe to say they went above and beyond to make it a great evening thank you from us all at Darch Oil

We had a great time at the Golf Club for our works Christmas party. The communication beforehand was great, and I really appreciated them writing out place settings for us. There were just over 30 of us and they did a great job catering for us all. We'll definitely be back next year!

This is the second year we have been to the golf club on one of their Christmas party nights. Both times the service has been good. The option to dance and use the photo booth makes it an all round evening for those that wants more than just a meal. The meal it’s self was very good and we all got served together. The only points I would make it to have one more than option for vegetarian/vegans and more than one sprout per plate, maybe a couple of bowls of additional roast potatoes and vegetable for those who may want a little more. The pre event organisation was quite straight forward and they were very helpful with regards to people having allergy requirements ie dairy and gluten free. Overall I would recommend their Christmas Party evenings.

Wow what a beautiful setting for a awesome Sunday lunch. Couldn’t have been more impressed. The new restaurant has a fantastic feel to it and the scenery is just as impressive as the food. Highly recommend this for family’s.. it’s far much more than a golf club.. Fantastic!

Booked online with no problems but wanted a buggy so gave them a call,sorted in seconds by lovely lady on the phone.Was staying in Chard last week and chose this course for a round of golf and would not think twice about playing here again,as soon as you drive in it looked very well maintained.Very friendly/helpful staff,checked in with no fuss.Course was in beautiful condition and a bit busy but not to long waits at tees (other players very friendly as well).My playing partner lose his glasses and informed the club shop,got a phone call 2 days later and they sent his glasses back to him.For the price we played it is well worth it and great value,did here it might get new owners soon and I hope they don't ruining this beautiful course and out price themselves.

What can I say have just played this coarse after covid 19 lockdown period. To say the new owners and there team have used the time wisely would be an understatement.Always liked this coarse and clubhouse but now looking around you can see this place is well on the way to becoming another major attraction for the west of England golf scene.Many Congratulations to all involved a fantastic challenging and well kept coarse in this pretty hidden gem part of Somerset

With friends went to the restaurant on Sunday 2nd February 2020 for the carvery. Friendly helpful staff - bright airy and spacious dining room with tables that were not crammed in. Good selection of meat and vegetables, all cooked to perfection. Great day out. Definitely will go again. Recommended - but you have to book as it is popular.

Visited for our Christmas works party in a a Friday night, we hadn’t been for a few years due to bad experience. This was totally different, excellent service and lovely food and very helpful staff, will definitely be back next year.

Haven't been here for a few years, it's just as good as I remember it. We were in a party of about 12 and the organisation was superb. Not exactly the most "romantic" setting but you get what they are good at. The food is good and you surely cannot get better for the price. Chef is good, waiting staff are good, management is good. Slow at the bar but hey, who cares.

Very good carvery with plenty of vegetables and meat. The vegetarian option was brought out very quickly. Helpful and friendly staff.

Went here with family who live in the local area for a Sunday lunch. Fantastic food. Chef that was serving the meat was very accommodating towards me as I am vegetarian. A veggie option was brought from the kitchen immediately. A lovely selection of vegetables. All warm and tasty. Pudding selection was also nice. Good value for money. Very filling g and delicious.

Had a lovely carvery here £10 You get your money's worth. Do highly recommend. Lovely staff. Lovely fresh vegetables.

Me and my fiance are very disappointed due to having availability and then being told after driving 2 hours that we are not allowed our special day. Even though the venue is avaliable to that date. I would adevise anyone to not look here for a wedding venue as you will be disappointed.

we attended a fund raiding quiz at this friendly unstuffy golf club,it’s open to the public for good quality food at reasonable prices .Popular for Sunday Lunch .

12 of us went here for Sunday lunch early January and took a chance as we had not had a recommendation. However we had no need to have worried as we found the staff very helpful and the carvery was first class. There was plenty of well cooked meat and the vegetables were not overcooked and a huge variety. The high chair was in place as requested.

We attended here, on a friend's 80th birthday celebration. There were over 100 guests attending, and the food consisted of a carvery. As our table was the last to go up, we were gob smacked, not only at the choice, but the amount of food that was still available. Upon returning to our tables, our food was not only excellent quality, but was also very hot. This was followed, by a choice of three desserts, all of which were well presented, and went down well as I didn't see any was rage.

Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Excellent food along with superb service. Could not have asked for a better venue to celebrate with friends. The management and team are a focused unit Thank you

Visited here for the first time for a days golf. Access was difficult due to a road closure but we were able to get in through a back entrance and a gravel road through the course - watch out for flying golf balls!

Visited on my way to Devon as was recommended by a friend at my local course in Bedfordshire. Very friendly staff and some members I met out on course. Course was a bit wet but played nice. Greens were lovely to putt on. This course will be superb in summer. Would recommend this course to anyone and will definitely visit again when in the area.

Having had Sunday Carvery at several other venues in the area , including another golf club , I have to say both the food and the service here was well above par (excuse the pun ) The food was amazing and the young bar staff and waiting staff were both professional and friendly .Will definitely be back !!

met up with relations for a Christmas festive lunch, we all agreed it was the best Christmas lunch we had eaten, the turkey was beautiful, 2had beef again cooked to perfection, plenty of well cooked vegetables, and I most delicious Christmas pudding or cheese cake to follow , the staff were wonderful, nothing too much trouble, I was fortunate over the festive season to have many Christmas meals this without a doubt was the best, hope to see you same time same place next year, or of course we could join you for Sunday lunch carvery

Reservamos con antelación para asegurarnos una buena mesa tranquilo por una ventana y salimos triunfantes. Nos sentamos en el salón con una bebida mientras esperábamos a nuestros amigos a llegar. Cómodas sillas bonitas y un montón de hielo en las bebidas para un día de calor. (18 - 06 - 2017. . . . Los padres de un día). Había tres o cuatro carnes, sobresaliente para mi marido, los otros tres de nosotros sólo tenía ojos para la carne jugosa, excelente raro estaba delicioso y muy suculentos. Allí eran preciosas crujientes Yorkies para ir con ella. Había una variedad encantadora de vegetales frescos incluyendo arvejas, col, zanahorias y coliflor queso super cursi, junto con duros y asado las patatas. Un montón de condimentos para ir con su selección de carne. La salsa era precioso y rico. Ser Padres día había una oferta en un precio fijo, para el almuerzo y un postre a elegir para ir con ella. Terminamos con todos capuchinos durante todo el año, el final de una comida en un entorno encantador y cómodo super con damas servicial se aseguran de que todo el mundo era feliz. Los cuatro nos volvimos a nuestras casas, poner los pies en alto y enseguida nos fuimos a dormir con nuestros estomacal bien satisfecho. Sin duda nos volveremos.

Ah, es un verdadero y creía que el carnivore asador fue el mejor que había tenido en mucho tiempo. Y para mí un vegetariano me hicieron una especie de hongo" de espinacas pastas" - sabroso y vegetales eran geniales. y el chef era tan servicial y amable. De primera clase.

Played a round of golf then had an all day breakfast. Very good quality bacon and sausage along with brilliant service from the ladies. Recommend not just the golf the food and service is outstanding

Visitantes regulares para comer el domingo. Una buena selección de carnes asado, ternera, cerdo, pavo y sobresaliente. (lamentablemente no de cordero, mi favorito de todos los tiempos, le hubiera dado 4 estrellas por cordero). Autoservicio para una amplia variedad de hortalizas, para que realmente pueda cargar su plato a rebosar. Se puede llegar a estar muy concurrida y a veces un poco de aplastar, así que es imprescindible reservar con antelación. Como un buen almuerzo de domingo que puedes conseguir.

La tercera vez aquí por unas obras fiesta de Navidad y aunque hemos probado otros lugares localmente parece que nunca venga a la altura. Con este lugar usted tendrá una gran » Navidad comida caliente, una zona de relajación para aquellos que quieren sentarse y charlar, y para aquellos que se sientan un poco merrier, una pista de baile que se apuntalan tus cosas. única pena fue que esa noche el AMP de DJ sonó tan poco tiempo pasamos sin música, pero el personal era muy ingeniosa - buen viejo iPod entró en uso mientras era fijar. Una excelente noche, lo recomiendo! Gracias a todos!

Una cena de cumpleaños familiar para 20 personas fue un verdadero placer. La elección de carne y verduras es magnífico.

Reservado para 7 después de haber sido dijeron que el asador era vale la pena la visita. Cuando llegamos nos llevaron a nuestra mesa de la camarera que nos explicó donde todo era y nos deseó una buena comida. La comida era abundante y muy bien cocinada y había mucha variedad. Los camareros no podría haber sido más servicial y se lo recomendaría a cualquiera, no te decepcionará. Así que, ¿qué es parar esta siendo una excelente crítica? No hay nada más que una preferencia personal, me habría gustado tener el asado patatas al haber sido más crujientes, pero a partir de los 7 de nosotros que era la única que pensamos que eso. Un poco más caro que otros carvery, pero vale la pena el dinero extra.

Excelente comida (variedad de carnes y verduras genial), servicio y precio. Usted tendrá que llamar y reservar con antelación, sin duda merece la pena una visita.

We have visited this Golf Club on several occasions over the past few years and nowhere else matches up to the Sunday carvery. There are usually about 4 choices of meat (usually pork, turkey, beef and gammon) with all the accompanying sauces. The choice of vegetables is excellent and varied. The dining room is large and open and can accommodate parties. We like to book one of the tables on the platform by the window as it is slightly quieter. The times are staggered as it is a very popular restaurant. It is also extremely reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food available.

went here for my step brothers wedding what a mess arrived here from the church no one to meet us and arrange plans for how the day was to go. when asked the events lady if she was going to meet the happy couple she said that was not her place and it was up to the best man after this we took charge and did her job for her.food was nice and Hanna (waitress) took charge and made sure every one got there food which was great evening buffet was great as well nice selection site not that easy for taking photos as no area was made off bounds for wedding when taking photos
