Lovely old style pub with great simple charm. The staff are very freindly and welcoming. Plenty of parking and and very nice outside area. Traditional pub furniture with the classic brass wall decorations. Additionally there as sofa's to sit on for that more relaxed and casual drink. A pool table too. Food available too.

What an absolute gem. The Bridge is a throw back to a by-gone age of life on the fens. It is the perfect anti-bistro pub full of retro character that might challenge your perception of what a good pub is (I'm not going to spoil the surprise 😊). But it is the best hospitality and food I've had from any pub in a decade. The Sunday roast was incredible with multiple meat options and a rainbow of vegetables, you know it's going to be good when they say 'don't worry you can have a mix of meat' 😍 All the staff were so welcoming and chatty to us (loved the apron 😂) and with young kids nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for your kind and fun hospitality we will be back 👍

A remarkable genuine pub. Had been past several times but always when closed! Determined to go I n last weekend and was stunned at the depth of welcome. So I rolled up for the pub quiz every fortnight on a Thursday, with homemade chilli. Lovely locals, extremely welcoming. Sensible prices. A fabulous find. I do not suspect any locals have webbed feet, which was the medieval saying.

Entering the car park which is a dumping ground for general rubbish, cars, sofas etc was are first red flag,we considered not entering but I said to the missus it maybe a hidden gem. We all had roast lamb which taste less and fatty, parsnips burnt. We paid £4.95 for cauliflower and cheese for two to share which consisted of four small florets which tasted like a packet cheese mix. We left very unsatisfied and won’t never return or recommend. This my first negative review I’ve ever written as we like to travel far and wide in search of a Sunday roast.

Me girlfriend and I wanted to go out for a Sunday lunch to celebrate her getting a new job. This is an area that I know nothing about so I went entirely by tripadvisor reviews and photographs. I booked the night before and suggest that anyone wanting Sunday lunch should book to avoid disappointment. When we arrived, the outside of the building doesn’t look particularly inviting and it could do with a tidy up and lick of paint so we did wonder if we had chosen correctly. As we got out of the car, a lovely lady who waitresses there had just arrived too. She said hello and showed us into the pub and the bar where we met the chap behind the bar too. The interior of the pub is a hotchpotch of items, none of which really go together and from this point of view, probably not somewhere that you’d immediately think worth booking. We ordered drinks, a pint of Thatchers Good and a Brothers strawberry and cream flavour and were shown to our cooked table. Moments later the waitress came over and chatted to us telling us of the 4 choices of meat for today’s meal and the extra cauliflower cheese available.I went for the Beef and my girlfriend went for the Pork and we ordered a cauliflower cheese to share.A few minutes later the magnificent cauliflower cheese arrived, swiftly followed by two large plates of locally sourced and homemade Sunday lunch.Wow, everything was to die for. The beef was perfectly cooked, Yorkshire pudding was large and fluffy inside, boiled and roast new potatoes, tasty parsnip and broccoli with carrot batons. Pickled red cabbage with onion was a nice flavour change too. The stuffing contained black pudding pieces and cheese!!!! Sounds weird but was wonderful and worked!!!!The gravy ..... oh god the gravy; so meaty and delicious. The whole meal was the best I have had in a long time. How much for this plate of brilliance?! Less than a Tenner! I defy anyone to find better anywhere for that. With just enough room for dessert, we went for sticky toffee pudding, mine with custard and my girlfriend had cream. Tasty and we polished it all off. Not homemade this time I don’t think, but nice none the less. The pub is off the beaten track and doesn’t look much from the outside. But it was packed, and the food was better than I could have imagined. If you’re in the area, take a chance and read these reviews and you won’t forget it. £34 for 2 meals, 1 cauliflower cheese, 2 desserts and 2 ciders. A bargain anywhere, let alone for this quality. We’ll be back, and hopefully very very soon.

We drove up and were a little apprehensive as it looks a bit run down from the outside - inside its pleasantly quirky! Staff are all really friendly. Food is excellent value for money - great taste, sourced locally where possible and very generous portions. I was taken here for something to eat and was put off initially by the rather shabby exterior. Entering you'll encounter a rather eclectic attitude to decor - a traditional pub it isn't. But the folk that run the place, the waitress / chef were wonderful. Talking to you like you mattered and were genuinely interested in making your visit a pleasant one. The food on offer was varied, extensive and beautifully cooked and very well priced. I have it on good authority their Sunday lunches are superb - offered in the colder months. Deserts & coffee were fine. Only minor negatives; chicken came with same dark gravy as the beef. The table & place mats were sticky. Whole establishment could do with a thorough polish. It all looks a bit uncared for. There are many ornaments, brasses & tack. It’s very hard work looking after a pub, but they must try harder to get 5*.

We walked in to a cozy yet spooky little gem of a place. Wow the Halloween Dec s was amazing , I can t wait to vist again soon to see the Xmas decorations. We received a friendly welcome , the open fire was so inviting. The house shiraz was delightful and moreish. I wanted to have all the starters it was hard to choose. As I fancied the mixed grill , I shared the meaty whitebate. Our friends had the garlic mushroom which was plentiful and the broccoli and stilton soup with plenty of bread. I had the mixed grill and oh my the meat was top quality and it was cooked to perfection. There was Gammon, steak, lamb , quality sausage and blackpudding. Now I m not a fan of blackpudding but I always try a bit. To my amazement I ate all of it, it was lovely. I had salad with my grill the others had chips which I was told where beautiful. My friend had the hunters chicken with plenty of cheese. We was going to have homemade steak and ale pie. Yes pie not a stew with a lid. But it was sold out. I was so tempted with pudding but we all was so full. It s recommended to book for the Sunday lunch apparently there is competition in the kitchen if who can make the best gravey. The service was brilliant and so friendly. I can t wait to go back.

Thanks to Chris, his staff & 'the locals' for making us welcome on our Motorhome pubstopover. I had messaged prior to visiting, to ask if it was OK to park up and was welcomed, just asked to eat & drink in the pub. Chris has only recently taken over and started food, currently a very limited menu but good portions and well cooked. No facilities except toilets when open, but we are self sufficient so not an issue. Thanks, Tim Sue n Bailey 🐾
