This is our go to venue for coffee at Springfield. - warm in winter - airy and well lit. Allow plenty of time to be seated and served. If you're in a hurry then go elsewhere. Coffee is piping hot and scones freshly made - returning customer.

This place has now been closed for over two years! So not exactly worth a visit. lol For a beer try the pub over the road and for a meal try The Chestnuts at the other end of the village.

A lovely pub with a big beer garden ideal for families with young children to play while you relax and drink and still keep a eye open on your children playing, a safe place.

We went for Mothers Day lunch , the food was delicious, all fresh produce and plenty of it. I would definately recommend a visit. I will be going back. A proper pub

Although it states vegetarian friendly the choice is poor. They used to do veggie meals but I was told they was no demand for veggie meals so stopped going. You don't always want panini or prawn jacket spud!!

I had an awful time. There was a puddle of random juice all over my chair. The beer was flatter than any beer I've ever had. If I had a choice I would rather eat out of their bin than from there rat infested kitchen. The place should be irradicated from our local area. I thought to go back again in hopes that I had misjudged the place, but this time was also a travesty. There was a fight between two patrons that ended up smashing a plate. The waiter tried to break it up, in doing so he was hit in the face. So he made the genius executive decision to join in the brawl. This place shouldn’t be called The Horse and Groom, it should be called the Horse of Doom.

This is the nicest Sunday roast I have had out for a good few years. Food beautiful and Sue & Gary are hilarious and can't do enough for you. Great portion size and great atmosphere. This is just how a village pub should be, great job guys.

Had been for Sunday lunch and were so impressed went back for evening meal later in the week Again we were very impressed . Food, service, ambience, and everything about the visit was both relaxing and pleasurable

We were impressed by the quality of the chips and burgers we had, plus the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only down side is possibly that the menu of food available is a bit limited especially for vegetarians, but none the less would recommend a visit if only to sample the chips.

I’ve been to this Costa quite a few times and I always find the staff very unfriendly and rude.. I love a Costa but end up going somewhere else due to the attitude of staff towards customers..it would helpful if their attitude towards customers could improve..

Rather disappointed by the service, unhelpful and rude. Bacon was dry and had been cooked sometime earlier. Did not help the front staff being downright rude. Shall not be in any hurry to use them again.

Lovely pub we go to often meals look delicious even though we haven't actually had a meal there very traditional with the beams and wood burner and right next to the river also dog friendly 👍😄

Always stop here when heading that way. Food excellent quick service. Clean wash room large car park.

terrible experience !!wont be visiting again,lack off service and communication,had to ask twice for someone to come to our table ,waitresses was more childminding then looking after customers,don’t recommend at all,very unprofessional in all aspects
