Costa Coffee in South Holland

Stopped by today 15/10/24 and found most of the staff very abrupt and indifferent. The drink was served without some of the ingredients but they made no attempt to say anything and when questioned just oh we’ve run out . Won’t return

Lovely staff took my two month old baby in with my mum for a coffee, I needed to feed my baby and a lovely staff member noticed me nursing her and gave me a glass of water whilst we was waiting for our order. Thank you :)

It’s a nice Costa coffee but the criticism I have is when I was there on 31/05/24 the queue was going out of the door. They could do with more staff in there especially as it was the half term holidays. The prices of lunch there are a little on the expensive side, I mean £3.50 for a small sausage roll, really? But because the other restaurants were full in Springfields and my mother and I only wanted a sandwich or something we just came here. Coffee was really nice though, and the staff were pleasant, so it’s not off putting to come back here again.

Clean and tidy Costa with nice staff.

I was with my wife, we went to the Costa coffee shop in Springfield’s, While the wife went for a shop on her own, as I am unable to walk or stand too long, I said I will go grab a few coffees and wait for her to join me. When I got there the shop was very busy, and unfortunately I could not stand, and wait a long time, after not seeing a notice, or app to help me, I just decided to waited outside on a bench, as there was no apparent other way of me being able to otherwise order a coffee by a app. To my table of choice. When my wife, returned she got them in, I eventually got to speak with a kind guy in there, (staff), and pointed out my problem, he said they would order it if I was sat down, and managed to get their attention. Then yes they could be able to help me, to pay it at the table, now here is the problem, 1, I would have been seen to jump a long Que, 2, I would have to explain my disability to them to get the help. Now in this day, and age why can they not do what McDonalds do order and pay at the table. I did not like having the idea of explaining myself in public view, to ask they sell me a coffee at the table, and nor was it a good idea to ask they list the selection of other foods on sale, when a app could have covered it all. Yes, they have wheelchair access if you can open the double doors, as one is often locked in cold weather. The group do really need to rethink how they can allow folk worse than me to order a coffee in its chain of stores. No one should need in this time to say, “Hay I’m not that good, I’m a Disabled customer can you assist me with my order at the table please”. More so when the shop is not fully kitted out to do this anyway.

I'm not sure if all Costa's doing the same bubble tea, but they have to improve on this. Firstly, the real bubble tea straw supposed to be bigger than the bubbles and more of it. Other than that nice place

Barista with the name tag, Amy is rude. Looks like she hates her job. If she’s going to be so miserable. Then she should find a new job. She looked me up and down as if she’s better. Very rude

I am disappointed from the shop they make a tea from the tap water 🚰 the whole sink need descaling as there was visible huge amount of lime scale, the water is extremely heavy and not drinkable, if that's the way drinks are made with no filtrated water should cost way less. bubble tea no more than 2£ and I've paid 3.5£ minimum each tea. P.s. First time I had to drink or eat my tea because they give us a wooden spoons with the tea. COSTA should be able at least to buy necessary thick straws for the "bubble tea" they offer how ever the lady said- "the spoons are for the bubbles" Thanks you so much. If you want to do something do it rigth with quality do net charge customers for water sugar and ice.

Having waited 27 minutes in the que for a black coffee and hot chocolate, got outside to the table and found it wasn't a hot chocolate but a Rudy latte

As always, you know what you're going to get, it's consistent. Service is slow as usual.

This really is a very bad Costa. A quick look at the other reviews shows consistently poor ratings. Miserable staff, not clean facilities, slow, crowded, badly designed for its location. Unfortunately I don’t have anything good to say. My advice is to avoid.

Very busy being the week before Christmas but under the circumstances, great service and good cake selection still at about 3pm which is great!

Filthy toilet, overcrowded interior with tables jammed in, very slow service, lots of tables needed clearing, I took my food 'to go' and ate in the gardens. Very poor show.

I'm a great lover of Costa coffee and spend a fortune on them, but this branch needs retraining. You can not serve a Christmas special chocolate orange when you don't have all the ingredients and charge full price. The disabled toilet was disgusting , needing a deep clean not just a wipe over. The wall tiles were held up with sticky tape! That is a very poor show!!

Went at the wrong time queueing for around 40 minutes. But okay service and lovely mince pie.

The manager on shift today was called dave. He put my vegan panini on the same tray that had a ham and cheese toastie and used same knife and tongs on it as a ham and cheese toastie, after saying I would like it made again because I'm vegetarian they were very hesitant to re make it. The service is very slow and had lots of people queuing. Flys where on the cakes and their reply was they can't do anything about it. Really unhappy with the service I received today but happy to say I will not go back.

Didn't like this particular Costa. I have been waiting for latte to take away for ages. People who been behind me in a queue got their order before me.

Just, milky, watery cappuccinos no froth,tasteless. Lack of Danish pastries at only 10.00am. Will not visit again in Springfields,Spalding.

On a very hot day we had 2 off summer fruits iced drinks very refreshing Nice staff even though they were understaffed and rushed off there feet

The staff were helpful and my large cappuccino and croissant was of the temperature and consistency I like

In all honesty, I do prefer the coffee on other establishments but here, we didn't actually hang around to make an assessment. The queue was long and slow moving and the air was too hot and stuffy. Perhaps we were too impatient or perhaps they were having a problematic day. So perhaps this is a completely pointless review. Essentially, it appeared to be a Costa like any other Costa.

Mine was a really good drink as always, one let down was the wait service very slow . Second let down my friends couldn't get the first drink they wanted apparently no ingredients left!!

Costa Coffee in Spalding town centre,cakes are stale,my cake was like a brick!!!,not totally clean,and a worry that there are lots of flies in this shop,not good.Im avoiding it now,going to Costa in Springfields,spotless and fresh food,not stale.Only go to Spalding shop if you have to.

It was very busy when we called in but the four staff behind the servery worked very hard to get the queue down. Delicious hot flat whites.

I'm very disappointed with the Springfields Spalding Costa. I went in there yesterday and bought a toasted sandwich, the person behind the counter over charged and when I mentioned it she was not happy, upon checking the chiller cabinet it was indeed marked a different price to that on the till, at first she wasn't going to refund me so I said ok give me a total refund and I won't buy it so she took money out of the tip cup, that's not only her money so she's taken it from the rest of the staff. I chose a toasted vegan ham and cheese, the crust was so hard I had to eat around the crust and throw the crust away, my journey back home was 25 minutes, I had to stop twice to be sick, I'm lactose intolerant hence thinking a vegan sandwich would be ok so I guess when toasting there must have been cross contamination through lack of cleaning. If someone had a true allergy they could have died through corners being cut in this store. I don't know how you treat your staff but this staff member was miserable, no apologies, very sour faced and had no customer service skills!

Customer service good. My only complaint was that my toasted sandwich was over done.

Got in just in time before lunchtime rush. Enjoyable ambience and usual good quality fare.

This Costa coffee is within the Springfields outlet shopping area and as such can get really busy at weekends even with the outside seating. If it is too busy and you don't want to wait there are other coffee establishments on site. The shop has the usual Costa items for sale so feels familiar even if it's your first visit.

The staff here are very efficient and the queue went down very quickly . Lovely coffee , clean tables and polite staff... actually think it's my favourite Costa ....I highly recommend .It's wonderfully clean .They always have toast ..which is my favourite and they make an excellent cordado .Also always bring our order to our table with warmth and smiles .

Due to an intolerance I have to drink decaff coffee. Costa decaff is very nice. Probably the best I've tried.

I do like Costa but this one is not a good one. My latte coffee was cold, daughter had cappuccino which was not tasty, Mrs had white coffee. An hour ater she had a tummy ache.

Went on a busy Saturday afternoon but got served in a timely manner. Enough seating for me and my family of 4. Staff were nice and friendly, the coffee was nice as well, just your typical costa.

We called in for a quick drink and a cake each after shopping at Springfields and before travelling back to Cambridgeshire. We like the brand and know what to expect and they were all good. Good to see tables were being cleared and cleaned and premises were clean. (Some of their branches are slipping back to the pre-Covid cleaning standards came in and now they have been relaxed tables are left with dirty crockery and trays piling up and tables un-wiped.) Would have given a full five stars had assistance been offered to carry our tray to our table. My wife uses a walker and I use a walking stick. No offer forthcoming and selective deafness from staff when I asked for help so I had to manage it myself.

We just had coffees in this small cafe. There were about 4 girls serving but service was still quite slow. Tables weren’t very clean and there was a long queue for the toilets.

I am a fan of Costa, this is not the best one I have been too, some of the staff seem to be a little unhappy and not as friendly as some of the other Costas I have been too. Always seem too busy to explain things to you. The layout of the shop is nice and not had a bad coffee or food there. Nice and clean coffee shop.

We arrived and the queue ended at the door. Despite obviously being busy, the we were soon being served by staff that were friendly and my request to change from dairy milk to soya just before being made was met with an agreeable smile! We were able to get a table with no problems. The lighting was perfectly fine and the drinks themselves were lovely!

Very busy, but the staff were polite and courteous. Only negative (but it is quite a big negative) was the sink in one of the toilets was out if action so no way to wash your hands.
