Staying at the Holiday Inn across the road and The Waters Edge was initially just a "convenient" place to eat. The food was great and the service was fantastic 👌 Everything came out hot, tasty and packed with flavour. So impressed we came back the following evening and yet again the service was great. The team greeted us and were engaged. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely give Mary 5 stars always greeted with a smile and always helps to Carry drinks to our table , treated like friends not customers . Will go again

Un ambiente tranquilo el lunes por la noche pero decente para una comida de negocios y bebidas. Comida muy promedio tristemente y dijo “hemos terminado de servir comida ahora” como el personal del bar llegó comida caliente - no es un buen aspecto

Called in for a drink with my girlfriend. Lively pub with a good atmosphere.

It was ok, cannot comment on the pub, as we were at a private function upstairs. Ladies toilets were a bit tired both upstairs and down , one loo seat was broken, the room looked a bit tired. But the small bar was ok and staff friendly. Out side catering ok, but nothing special.

Visited for Sunday lunch, very nice food and we were very satisfied. Nice pint of pale ale although hubby had Guinness as the only dark option was Landlord. Overall, a nice place with decent food and drink.

Tuve otro magnífico almuerzo dominical en The Sun, esta vez de Navidad. Fue fantástico, todos los adornos, muy sabroso, excelente presentación y excelente relación calidad-precio. ¡El mejor pescado rebozado que he tenido! Tan crujiente, sabroso y el pescado estaba perfectamente cocinado y en escamas en hermosos trozos. Gravy también era súper sabroso y suave. Servicio muy acogedor, rápido y amable. Me alegro de que vinimos y volveríamos.

Steer clear. These rooms are not as advertised, not safe and not clean. All windows have mould around them. The walls and ceiling is far from sound proof. We were woken early by sounds of people talking above us and kids running around.

Perfect place for an English breakfast for brunch. The decor was really neat and staff very friendly. The food was of really high quality and a good portion for the price. Big shout out also to the milkshakes which my boyfriend loved!

Not that impressed tbf. Celebrating birthday but service was poor. 45 minute wait for main course and 40 minutes wait for pudding, not acceptable, when I spoke with staff member blamed it on staff shortages and other parties, woefully poor excuse, will not attend again for food, very poor..

Saltbox Bar for the lauch of Mollis fried chicken kitchen takeover. If you didn't already know, Mollis is known for their ULTIMATE fried chicken on derby road next to Alchemilla by Alex Bond chef Saltbox have teamed up with Mollis for a 3 month kitchen take over in Bolero Square next to the entrance of Motorpoint Arena Nottingham Its available every Friday and Saturday evening from May to July. We chose a couple of chicken burgers. One with Nashville hot oil fried chicken miso ranch, beer pickle, lollo rosso, furikake. The other,Classic southern fried chicken kewpie mayo, pickles, lettuce, cheese sauce. A side of Fries,house seasoning topped with parmesan. Pink fir potato, truffle curd, crispy onions and a roasted garlic mayo sauce. They also serve some amazing chicken wings, either 6 or 12 in two delicous coatings. If you've not managed to make it out of the city to try them before. Theres no excuse now, as you can pop in when you go to a nearby event or you just want some really good chicken in the town. You can even order it to take-away.

Ordered via the app. Drinks arrived quickly and the food was good! Ordered a pizza and it done the job!

Always enjoy going for a meal here, it's a lovely atmosphere and they know how to make a proper blackcurrant and soda that you can actually taste! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place
